The second-order statistics based on texture features are analyzed to evaluate the scale stationarity of the training image. The multiple-point statistics of the training image are applied to obtain the multiple-point statistics stationarity estimation by the multi-point density function. The results show that the reconstructed 3D structures are closer to reality when the training image has better scale stationarity and multiple-point statistics stationarity by the indications of local percolation probability and two-point probability. Moreover, training images with higher multiple-point statistics stationarity and lower scale stationarity are likely to obtain closer results to the real 3D structure, and vice versa. Thus, stationarity analysis of the training image has far-reaching significance in choosing a better 2D thin section image for the 3D reconstruction of porous media. Especially, high-order statistics perform better than low-order statistics.展开更多

The numerical simulations of surface heating due to localized power bursts and the power deposition calculations demonstrate that this analysis can provide accurate results and useful information about localized hot spots compared with the normal one- and two-dimensional calculations. In this paper, the details of this three- dimensional analysis are presented, and some results in ohmic heating and electron cyclotron resonant heating (ECRH) discharge on HL-2A are given.展开更多

Methods: Three three-dimensional finite element models of lumbosacral region were established: (1) An intact model (INT); (2) A defective model (DEF) on which subtotal sacrectomy was performed cephalad to the $1 foramina; (3) A reconstructed model (REC). These models were validated by compared with literature. Upright posture was stimulated under a compression load of 925N. A finite element analysis was performed to account for the displacement and stress on the models. The REC model was calculated twice, with the material property of reconstruction instrument set as titanium and stainless steel, respectively. Results: The displacements of anchor point on the L3 vertebrae in INT, DEF and REC model were 6.63 mm, 10.62 mm, 4.29 mm (titanium) and 3.86 mm (stainless steel), respectively. The stress distribution of the instrument in REC model showed excessively concentration on caudal spinal rod, which may cause rod failure between spine and ilia. The maximum von Mise stress of stainless steel instrument was higher than that of titanium instruments (992 MPa vs 655 MPa), and the value of stress of anchor point around sacroiliac joint in REC model were 26.4 MPa with titanium instruments and 23.9 MPa with stainless steel instruments. Conclusion: Lumbosacral reconstruction can significantly increase the stiffness of spino-pelvis of the patient who underwent subtotal sacrectomy. However, the rod between L5 and ilia is the weakest region of all the instruments. It is suggested that the bending of rod should be conducted carefully and smoothly to avoid significant stress concentration so as to reduce the risk of rod failure. And stainless steel instrument has higher maximum stress and significantly greater stress shielding effect than titanium instrument, which means stainless steel instruments are of higher risk of rod failure and less favorable for lumboiliac arthrodesis than titanium instruments.展开更多

Materials and Methods: A fibular model (FM) and transplantation model (TM) were constructed for FEA. In TM, mandible was on the mesial side and the fibular graft was on the distal side. The implant was positioned at the center of both bone models. In TM, it was placed on the border between the mandible and fibular graft. A 10-mm implant was used in the monocortical model and a 15-mm implant was used in the bicortical model. The loading force was set at 100 N, the angle was set at 90°, and the loading position was set as center, mesial, or distal on the upper surface of the prosthesis. Von Mises equivalent stress values of the bone near the implant collar and apex at the middle line between buccal and lingual side were measured. Results: In all models, stress values were significantly lower with center loading than with distal loading and mesial loading. In center loading, the stress values were significantly lower in the bicortical model than in the monocortical model. There were no significant differences in stress values between FM and TM in all conditions. Conclusions: Bone stress was least with the center loading position, which was further decreased by bicortical fixation. There was no increase in mechanical stress associated with placing an implant at the border between the mandible and the fibular graft.展开更多

We found that obvious seasonal variations occur in the propagation of GWs. In spring, GWs mainlypropagate in the northeast direction. In summer and autumn, GWs mainly propagate in the north direction. However, GWs mainlypropagate in the south direction in winter. The direction of GW propagation in the zonal direction is controlled by the wind-filteringeffect, whereas the north–south meridional direction is mainly determined by the location of the wave source. We found that the averageenergy spectrum exhibits a 10%–20% higher intensity in summer and winter compared with spring and autumn. For the first time, wereport the seasonal variation characteristics of GWs over the inland areas of Northwest China, which is of great significance forunderstanding the regional distribution characteristics of GWs.展开更多

Methods: In 29 patients with gastric carcinoma pathologically conformed, plan scans were done firstly. Two-phase spiral CT was performed within one breathhold each. Distension of the stomach was achieved by intravenous application of anisodamine and effervescent granules. After bolus injection of contrast medium, scanning was performed in the arterial and venous phase, and the source images were thin reconstructed. The stomach to three-dimension analysis was constructed by volume rendering (VR) multiplanaz volume reconstruction (MPVR), shaded surface display (SSD) and CT virtual gastroscopy (CTVG) technique. In combination with the sources images, gastric tumour invasion and lymph node metastasis was assessed, and TNM staging was performed. Results: In 29 cases of gastric carcinoma, the sensitivity and specificity of two-phase multidetector-row spiral CT three-dimensional reconstruction technique in T1, T2, T3 and Ta staging, the sensitivity and specificity was 50% and 50%, 87.5% and 77.8%, 83.3% and 76.9% and 100% and 80% respectively. For the N staging, the sensitivity and specificity in No, N1, and N2 N3 was 83.3% and 71.4%, 87.5% and 77.8% and 81.8% and 75% respectively. The sensitivity and the specificity for M1 staging was 100%. Conclusion: The reconstruction technique in combination with 16-slices spiral-CT can perform TNM staging well and effectively guide the choice of the surgical procedures for gastric cancer.展开更多

Mismatches easily exist in traditional binocular stereo matching due to the repeatable or similar features of binocular images. In order to reduce the probability of mismatching and improve the measure precision, a four-camera measurement system which can add extra matching constraints and offer multiple measurements is applied in this work. Moreover, a series of different checkerboard patterns are projected onto the object to obtain dense feature points and remove mismatched points. Finally, the 3D model is generated by performing Delaunay triangulation and texture mapping on the point cloud obtained by four-view matching. This method was tested on the 3D reconstruction of a terracotta soldier sculpture and the Buddhas in the Mogao Grottoes. Their point clouds without mismatched points were obtained and less processing time was consumed in most cases relative to binocular matching. These good reconstructed models show the effectiveness of the method.展开更多

A 3D rotational failure mechanism was adopted to yield the upper bound of the factor of safety. Parametric studies were carried out to explore the end effects of the slope failures and the effects of the pile location and diameter on the safety of the reinforced slopes. The results demonstrate that the end effects nearly have no effects on the most suitable location of the installed piles but have significant influence on the safety of the slopes. For a slope constrained to a narrow width, the slope becomes more stable owing to the contribution of the end effects. When the slope is reinforced with a row of piles in small space between piles, the effects of group piles are significant for evaluating the safety of slopes. The presented method is more appropriate for assessing the stability of slopes reinforced with piles and can be also utilized in the design of plies stabilizing the unstable slopes.展开更多

文摘In order to obtain a better sandstone three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction result which is more similar to the original sample, an algorithm based on stationarity for a two-dimensional (2D) training image is proposed. Especially, high-order statistics perform better than low-order statistics.

文摘A three-dimensional analysis model based on the finite element method (FEM) is developed, which can derive the evolution and distribution characteristics of heat flux deposited on the divertor plate from the surface temperature measured by infrared thermography diagnostics. The numerical simulations of surface heating due to localized power bursts and the power deposition calculations demonstrate that this analysis can provide accurate results and useful information about localized hot spots compared with the normal one- and two-dimensional calculations. In this paper, the details of this three- dimensional analysis are presented, and some results in ohmic heating and electron cyclotron resonant heating (ECRH) discharge on HL-2A are given.
文摘Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the biomechanical property of lumbosacral reconstruction after subtotal sacrectomy. And stainless steel instrument has higher maximum stress and significantly greater stress shielding effect than titanium instrument, which means stainless steel instruments are of higher risk of rod failure and less favorable for lumboiliac arthrodesis than titanium instruments.
文摘Purpose: The aim of the present study was to use finite elemental analysis (FEA) to evaluate bone stress near an implant placed at the border between the mandible and fibular graft in mandibular reconstruction. There was no increase in mechanical stress associated with placing an implant at the border between the mandible and the fibular graft.

文摘BACKGROUND Inguinal hernias are common after surgery.Tension-free repair is widely accepted as the main method for managing inguinal hernias.Adequate exposure, coverage, and repair of the myopectineal orifice(MPO)are necessary. However, due to differences in race and sex, people’s body shapes vary.According to European guidelines, the patch should measure 10 cm×15 cm.If any part of the MPO is dissected, injury to the nerves, vascular network,or organs may occur during surgery, thereby leading to inguinal discomfort, pain, and seroma formation after surgery. Therefore, accurate localization and measurement of the boundary of the MPO are crucial for selecting the optimal patch for inguinal hernia repair.AIM To compare the size of the MPO measured on three-dimensional multislice spiral computed tomography(CT)with that measured via laparoscopy and explore the relevant factors influencing the size of the MPO.METHODS Clinical data from 74 patients who underwent laparoscopic tension-free inguinal hernia repair at the General Surgery Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Science and Technology between September 2022 and July 2024 were collected and analyzed retrospectively.Transabdominal preperitoneal was performed.Sixty-four males and 10 females, with an average age of 58.30±12.32 years, were included. The clinical data of the patients were collected. The boundary of the MPO was measured on three-dimensional CT images before surgery and then again during transabdominal preperitoneal. All the preoperative and intraoperative data were analyzed via paired t-tests.A t-test was used for comparisons of age, body mass index, and sex between the groups. In the comparative analysis,a P value less than 0.05 indicated a significant difference.RESULTS The boundaries of the MPO on 3-dimensional CT images measured 7.05±0.47 cm and 6.27±0.61 cm,and the area of the MPO was 19.54±3.33 cm^(2).The boundaries of the MPO during surgery were 7.18±0.51 cm and 6.17±0.40 cm.The errors were not statistically significant. However, the intraoperative BD(the width of the MPO,P=0.024,P<0.05)and preoperative AC(the length of the MPO,P=0.045,P<0.05)significantly differed according to sex.The AC and BD measurements before and during surgery were not significantly different according to age, body mass index, hernia side or hernia type(P>0.05).CONCLUSION The application of this technology can aid in determining the most appropriate dissection range and patch size.
文摘Background: Scar contractions caused by hand burns seriously impact both the function and appearance of the hand.Consequently,post-burn hand reconstruction is a primary focus of secondary reconstructive surgery performed within the first 10 years after a burn injury. This study aimed to identify developmental trends and research hotspots in post-burn hand reconstruction, providing insights and recommendations for researchers. Methods: Bibliometric and visualization analyses were conducted using Cite Space v6.4.R1(64-bit) and VOS viewer. The Web of Science Core Collection served as the data source.A total of 136 articles between 1997 and2025 were included based on the following keywords: “postburn hand reconstruction” or “postburn hand” or“scar contraction hand deformity.”Results: The field of post-burn hand reconstruction is advancing,as indicated by the overall and annual increase in publications. The United States leads in number of published papers. However, major institutions show low centrality, indicating weak collaboration between countries and regions, with research still dominated by singlecenter studies. The top three most prolific authors were Paul P M van Zuijlen,Fatih Uyghur, and Ersin Uyghur. The keywords “double Z-plasty” and the cluster “flap” not only have high emergence intensity but also appear frequently in recent studies, marking them as current research hotspots. Conclusion: The lack of long-term research and consensus limits further advancements in post-burn hand reconstruction. To address this,multi-center and multi-disciplinary collaborations should be encouraged.Additionally, integrating basic medical research with biomedical engineering could enhance the management and outcomes of post-burn hand reconstruction.

文摘The three-dimensional spectral analysis method was applied to airglow data from September 2023 to August 2024 derivedfrom an OH airglow imager located at the Hejing station (42.79°N, 83.73°E) to study the propagation characteristics of gravity waves(GWs) over Northwest China. For the first time, wereport the seasonal variation characteristics of GWs over the inland areas of Northwest China, which is of great significance forunderstanding the regional distribution characteristics of GWs.

文摘The insect fat body is comparable to the liver and adipose tissue in vertebrates, and plays a pivotal role in energy metabolism, nutrient storage, and reproduction.During metamorphosis, the fat body is disassembled via programmed cell death and cell dissociation. After adult eclosion, the fat body is reconstructed either by repopulation from the remaining juvenile fat body cells or by differentiation from adult progenitor cells. This reconstruction is a prerequisite for initiating the extensive synthesis of vitellogenin(Vg),which is necessary for the maturation of eggs.Despite its significance, the underlying mechanisms of this reconstruction remain inadequately understood.Transcriptome analysis of the fat bodies from migratory locusts at 0-5 days post adult emergence revealed 79 genes associated with chromatin remodeling.Weighted gene co-expression network analysis indicated a positive correlation between chromatin remodeling and fat body reconstitution.Protein-protein interaction analysis revealed that brahma, which encodes the catalytic subunit of the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex,is crucial for post-adult-eclosion fat body development.qRT-PCR analysis demonstrated that the levels of brahma mRNA in the fat body are progressively increased during the previtellogenic stage, then reach the peak and remain elevated in the vitellogenic phase.Furthermore, brahma is expressed in response to gonadotropic juvenile hormone(JH).Knockdown of brahma led to a marked reduction in Vg expression within the fat body, along with arrested ovarian growth. These findings shed light on the involvement of brahmamediated chromatin remodeling in JH-stimulated fat body reconstruction and reproduction of adult female locusts.
文摘Thoracic reconstructions are essential surgical techniques used to replace severely damaged tissues and restore protection to internal organs. In recent years, advancements in additive manufacturing have enabled the production of thoracic implants with complex geometries, offering more versatile performance. In this study,we investigated a design based on a spring-like geometry manufactured by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF),as proposed in earlier research. The biomechanical behavior of this design was analyzed using various isolated semi-ring-rib models at different levels of the rib cage. This approach enabled a comprehensive examination, leading to the proposal of several implant configurations that were incorporated into a 3D rib cage model with chest wall defects,to simulate different chest wall reconstruction scenarios. The results revealed that the implant design was too rigid for the second rib level, which therefore was excluded from the proposed implant configurations. In chest wall reconstruction simulations, the maximum stresses observed in all prostheses did not exceed 38%of the implant material's yield stress in the most unfavorable case.Additionally, all the implants showed flexibility compatible with the physiological movements of the human thorax.

文摘[Significance]In alignment with the national germplasm security strategy, current research efforts are accelerating the adoption of precision breeding in sheep.Within the whole-genome selection, accurate phenotyping of body morphometrics is critical for assessing growth performance and breeding value.Traditional manual measurements are inefficient, prone to human error, and may cause stress to sheep, limiting their suitability for precision sheep management.By summarizing the applications of sheep body size measurement technologies and analyzing their development directions, this paper provides theoretical references and practical guidance for the research and application of non contact sheep body size measurement.[Progress]This review synthesizes progress across three principal methodological paradigms:two-dimensional(2D)image-based techniques,three-dimensional(3D)point cloud-based approaches, and integrated 2D-3D fusion systems.2D methods, employing either handcrafted geometric features or deep learning-based keypoint detector algorithms, are cost-effective and operationally simple but sensitive to variation in imaging conditions and unable to capture critical circumference metrics.3D point-cloud approaches enable precise reconstruction of full animal morphology, supporting comprehensive body-size acquisition with higher accuracy, yet face challenges including high hardware costs, complex data workflows, and sensitivity to posture variability.Hybrid 2D-3D fusion systems combine semantic richness from RGB imagery with geometric completeness from point clouds.Having been effectively validated in other livestock specise,e.g.,cattle and pigs, these fusion systems have demonstrated excellent performance, providing important technical references and practical insights for sheep body size measurement.[Conclusions and Prospects]Firstly, future research should focus on constructing large-scale,high-quality datasets for sheep body size measurement that encompass diverse breeds, growth stages, and environmental conditions, thereby enhancing model robustness and generalization.Secondly, the development of lightweight artificial intelligence models is essential.Techniques such as model compression, quantization, and algorithmic optimization can substantially reduce computational complexity and storage requirements, facilitating deployment in resource-constrained environments.Thirdly, the 3D point cloud processing pipeline should be streamlined to improve the efficiency of data acquisition, filtering, registration, and segmentation, while promoting the integration of low-cost,high-resilience vision systems into practical farming scenarios.Fourthly, specific emphasis should be placed on improving the accuracy of curved-dimensional measurements, such as chest circumference, abdominal circumference, and shank circumference, through advances in pose standardization, refined 3D segmentation strategies, and multimodal data fusion. Finally, the cross-fertilization of sheep body size measurement technologies with analogous methods for other livestock species offers a promising pathway for mutual learning and collaborative innovation, accelerating the industrialization of automated sheep morphometric systems and supporting the development of intelligent,data-driven pasture management practices.

文摘The internal flow fields within a three-dimensional inward-tunning combined inlet are extremely complex, especially during the engine mode transition, where the tunnel changes may impact the flow fields significantly. To develop an efficient flow field reconstruction model for this,we present an Improved Conditional Denoising Diffusion Generative Adversarial Network(ICDDGAN),which integrates Conditional Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Models(CDDPMs)with Style GAN,and introduce a reconstruction discrimination mechanism and dynamic loss weight learning strategy. We establish the Mach number flow field dataset by numerical simulation at various backpressures for the mode transition process from turbine mode to ejector ramjet mode at Mach number 2.5.The proposed ICDDGAN model, given only sparse parameter information, can rapidly generate high-quality Mach number flow fields without a large number of samples for training. The results show that ICDDGAN is superior to CDDGAN in terms of training convergence and stability. Moreover, the interpolation and extrapolation test results during backpressure conditions show that ICDDGAN can accurately and quickly reconstruct Mach number fields at various tunnel slice shapes, with a Structural Similarity Index Measure(SSIM)of over 0.96 and a Mean-Square Error(MSE)of 0.035%to actual flow fields, reducing time costs by 7-8 orders of magnitude compared to Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)calculations. This can provide an efficient means for rapid computation of complex flow fields.

文摘An automatic three-dimensional(3D) reconstruction method based on four-view stereo vision using checkerboard pattern is presented. These good reconstructed models show the effectiveness of the method.

文摘Based on the upper bound of limit analysis, the plane-strain analysis of the slopes reinforced with a row of piles to the 3D case was extended. The presented method is more appropriate for assessing the stability of slopes reinforced with piles and can be also utilized in the design of plies stabilizing the unstable slopes.
文摘A three-dimensional finite element simulation was carried out to investigate the effects of tunnel construction on nearby pile foundation. The displacement controlled model (DCM) was used to simulate the tunneling-induced volume loss effects. The numerical model was verified based on the results of a centrifuge test and a set of parametric studies was implemented based on this model. There is good agreement between the trend of the results of the centrifuge test and the present model. The results of parametric studies show that the tunnelling-induced pile internal force and deformation depend mainly on the pile?tunnel distance, the pile length to tunnel depth ratio and the volume loss. Two different zones are separated by a 45° line projected from the tunnel springline.Within the zone of influence, the pile is subjected to tensile force and large settlement;whereas outside the zone of influence, dragload and small settlement are induced. It is also established that the impact of tunnelling on a pile group is substantially smaller as compared with a single pile in the same location with the rear pile in a group, demonstrating a positive pile group effect.
