Revetments of concrete frame tetrahedrons are being used more and more in river engineering in China. Due to their complex geometry, it is difficult to measure the velocity fields inside them using traditional measurement methods. This limits understanding of their mechanics, potentially leading to suboptimal solutions. A 3-D hydrodynamic model based on the commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code, Fluent, was developed to predict velocity fields and drags. The realizable k-e model was adopted for turbulent closure of the Reynolds averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) equations. The study demonstrates that the numerical model can effectively supplement experimental studies in understanding the complex flow fields and mechanics of concrete frame tetrahedron revetments. Graphs showing the drag coefficient CD versus Reynolds number Re and lift coefficient CL versus Reynolds number Re were produced. 展开更多

In order to obtain high-performance electromagnetic wave absorbers,the adjustment of structure and components is essential.Based on the above requirements,this system forms a three-dimensional frame structure consisting of MXene and transition metal oxides(TMOs)through efficient electrostatic self-assembly.This three-dimensional network structure has rich heterojunction structures,which can cause a large amount of interface polarization and conduction losses in incident electromagnetic waves.Hollow structures cause multiple reflections and scattering of electromagnetic waves,which is also an important reason for further increasing electromagnetic wave losses.When the doping ratio is 1:1,the system has the best impedance matching,the maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB max)can reach 5.12 GHz at 1.7 mm,and the minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))is-50.30 dB at 1.8 mm.This provides a reference for the subsequent formation of 2D-MXene materials into 3D materials. 展开更多

The environment of low-altitude urban airspace is complex and variable due to numerous obstacles,non-cooperative aircraft,and birds.Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)leveraging environmental information to achieve three-dimension collision-free trajectory planning is the prerequisite to ensure airspace security.However,the timely information of surrounding situation is difficult to acquire by UAVs,which further brings security risks.As a mature technology leveraged in traditional civil aviation,the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast(ADS-B)realizes continuous surveillance of the information of aircraft.Consequently,we leverage ADS-B for surveillance and information broadcasting,and divide the aerial airspace into multiple sub-airspaces to improve flight safety in UAV trajectory planning.In detail,we propose the secure Sub-airSpaces Planning(SSP)algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization Rapidly-exploring Random Trees(PSO-RRT)algorithm for the UAV trajectory planning in law-altitude airspace.The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulations and the results show that SSP reduces both the maximum number of UAVs in the sub-airspace and the length of the trajectory,and PSO-RRT reduces the cost of UAV trajectory in the sub-airspace. 展开更多

The nonlinear relationships between the surface strain and the midst plane displacement are established. According to the thin plate nonlinear dynamical theory, the nonlinear dynamical equations of three-dimensional frame in the orthogonal coordinates system are obtained. Then the equations are translated into the axial symmetry nonlinear dynamical equations in the polar coordinates system. Some dimensionless quantities different from the plate of uniform thickness are introduced under the boundary conditions of fixed edges, then these fundamental equations are simplified with these dimensionless quantities. A cubic nonlinear vibration equation is obtained with the method of Galerkin. The stability and bifurcation of the circular three-dimensional frame are studied under the condition of without outer motivation. The contingent chaotic vibration of the three-dimensional frame is studied with the method of Melnikov. Some phase figures of contingent chaotic vibration are plotted with digital artificial method. 展开更多

Numerical analysis shows that the communication channel in our scheme can offer enough distillable entanglement for the teleportation protocol. Moreover, the teleportation protocol could work well if Rob's acceleration is not very big, but the fidelity of the teleportation is still reduced due to the Unruh effect. 展开更多

An analysis is performed for the hydromagnetic second grade fluid flow between two horizontal plates in a rotating system in the presence of a magnetic field. The lower sheet is considered to be a stretching sheet, and the upper sheet is a porous solid plate. By suitable transformations, the equations of conservation of mass and momentum are reduced to a system of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations. A series of solutions to this coupled non-linear system are obtained by a powerful analytic technique, i.e., the homotopy analysis method (HAM). The results are presented with graphs. The effects of non-dimensional parameters R, A, M2, a, and K2 on the velocity field are discussed in detail. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Sigmoid colon cancer faces challenges due to anatomical diversity,including variable inferior mesenteric artery(IMA)branching and tumor localization complexities,which increase intraoperative risks.AIM To comprehensively evaluate the impact of three-dimensional(3D)visualization technology on enhancing surgical precision and safety,as well as optimizing perioperative outcomes in laparoscopic sigmoid cancer resection.METHODS A prospective cohort of 106 patients(January 2023 to December 2024)undergoing laparoscopic sigmoid cancer resection was divided into the 3D(n=55)group and the control(n=51)group.The 3D group underwent preoperative enhanced computed tomography reconstruction(3D Slicer 5.2.2&Mimics 19.0).3D reconstruction visualization navigation intraoperatively guided the following key steps:Tumor location,Toldt’s space dissection,IMA ligation level selection,regional lymph node dissection,and marginal artery preservation.Outcomes included operative parameters,lymph node yield,and recovery metrics.RESULTS The 3D group demonstrated a significantly shorter operative time(172.91±20.69 minutes vs 190.29±32.29 minutes;P=0.002),reduced blood loss(31.5±11.8 mL vs 44.1±23.4 mL,P=0.001),earlier postoperative flatus(2.23±0.54 days vs 2.53±0.61 days;P=0.013),shorter hospital length of stay(13.47±1.74 days vs 16.20±7.71 days;P=0.013),shorter postoperative length of stay(8.6±2.6 days vs 10.5±4.9 days;P=0.014),and earlier postoperative exhaust time(2.23±0.54 days vs 2.53±0.61 days;P=0.013).Furthermore,the 3D group exhibited a higher mean number of lymph nodes harvested(16.91±5.74 vs 14.45±5.66;P=0.030).CONCLUSION The 3D visualization technology effectively addresses sigmoid colon anatomical complexity through surgical navigation,improving procedural safety and efficiency. 展开更多

With his theory of relativity, Einstein proved that space and time are de-pendent and must be treated inseparably. Minkowski adopted a four-dimensional space-time frame and indirectly revealed the dependency of space and time by adding a constraint for an event interval. Since space and time are inseparable, a three-dimensional space-time frame can be constructed by embedding time into space to directly show the interdependency of space and time. The formula for time dilation, length contraction, and the Lorenz transformation can be derived from graphs utilizing this new frame. The proposed three-dimensional space-time frame is an alternate frame that can be used to describe motions of objects, and it may improve teaching and learning Special Relativity and provide additional insights into space and time. 展开更多

Methods of quantum information processing often appear in terms of specially selected states.For example,mutually unbiased bases(MUBs)and symmetric informationally complete measurements are widely applied.Finite frames have found use in many areas including quantum information.Due to its specific inner structure,a single equiangular tight frame(ETF)allows one to formulate criteria to detect non-classical correlations.This study aims to approach entanglement detection with the use of mutually unbiased ETFs.Such frames are an interesting generalization of widely recognized MUBs.It still uses rank-one operators,but the number of outcomes can exceed the dimensionality.Several approaches are considered including separability criteria and entanglement witnesses.Separability criteria for multipartite systems are finally obtained. 展开更多

Rapid Seismic Damage Quantification for Reinforced Concrete Frames using Minimal Strain Inputs and Neural Networks Trained via Pushover Analysis

Rapid quantification of seismic-induced damage immediately following an earthquake is critical for determining whether a structure is safe for continued occupation or requires evacuation.This study proposes a novel damage identification method that utilizes limited strain data points,significantly reducing installation,maintenance,and data analysis costs compared to traditional distributed sensor networks.The approach integrates finite element(FE)modeling to generate capacity curves through pushover analysis,incorporates noise-augmented datasets for Artificial Neural Network(ANN)training,and classifies structural conditions into four damage levels:Operational(OP),Immediate Occupancy(IO),Life Safety(LS),and Collapse Prevention(CP).To evaluate the method’s accuracy and efficiency,it was applied to two reinforced concrete(RC)frames;a single-story frame tested experimentally under cyclic loading and a three-story frame analyzed under various lateral load patterns.Strain data from selected beam and column ends were used as ANN inputs,while the corresponding damage classes served as outputs.Confusion matrix results demonstrated high true positive rates(>85%for the single-story and>90%for the three-story frame),even with a reduced number of sensors.The model also exhibited strong robustness to White Gaussian Noise(SNR=2.5-5 dB)and generalized effectively to nonlinear time-history analyses under scaled ground motions(PGA=0.1-1.0 g).Feature selection using the MRMR and ANOVA algorithms further enhanced computational efficiency.Overall,the proposed ANN-based framework has strong potential for real-time structural health monitoring applications. 展开更多

The turbulence mechanism plays an important part in the mixing process and momentum transfer of turbulence. A three-dimensional Prandtl mixing length tidal model has been developed to simulate tidal flows and water quality. The eddy viscosities and diffusivities are computed from the Prandtl mixing length model. In order to model the water quality of an estuary or coastal area many interdependent processes need to be simulated. These may be conveniently separated into three main groups: transport and mixing processes, biochemical interaction of water quality variables and the utilization and re-cycling of nutrients by living matter. The model simulates full oxygen and nutrient balance, primary productivity and the transport, reaction mechanism and fate of pollutants over tidal time-scales. The model is applied to numerical simulation of tidal flows and water quality in Dalian Bay. The model has been calibrated against a limited data set of historical water quality observations and in general demonstrates excellent agreement with all available data. 展开更多

Characterizing the complex two-phase hydrodynamics in structured packed columns requires a power- ful modeling tool. The traditional two-dimensional model exhibits limitations when one attempts to model the de- tailed two-phase flow inside the columns. The present paper presents a three-dimensional computational fluid dy- namics (CFD) model to simulate the two-phase flow in a representative unit of the column. The unit consists of an CFD calculations on column packed with Flexipak 1Y were implemented within the volume of fluid (VOF) mathe- matical framework. The CFD model was validated by comparing the calculated thickness of liquid film with the available experimental data. Special attention was given to quantitative analysis of the effects of gravity on the hy- drodynamics. Fluctuations in the liquid mass flow rate and the calculated pressure drop loss were found to be quali- tatively in agreement with the experimental observations. 展开更多

However, for severe cases with a combination of angular and rotational deformities of the lower limb, obtaining true AP and lateral radiographs is difficult and accurate calculation of the rotational deformity from radiographs is impossible. In this report, we propose to focus on preoperative assessment using three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction images of computed tomography (CT) scans for severe lower limb deformity in a patient with bilateral fibular hemimelia type II according to the Achterman- Kalamchi classification. She underwent bifocal deformity corrections of the bilateral tibiae using Taylor spatial frames in combination with the Ilizarov external fixator. Complete bony union was achieved, without angular deformity or limb length discrepancy. 展开更多

An appropriate Monte Carlo method was developed to simulate the three-dimensional normal grain growth more completely. Comparative investigation on the three-dimensional and the cross-sectional characteristics of normal grain growth was done. It was found that the time exponent of grain growth determined from cross-section exhibits the same rule of increasing slowly with time and approaching the theoretical value n = 0.5 of steadygrain growth as the three-dimensional (3-D) system. From change of the number of grains per unit area with timemeasured in cross-section, the state of 3-D normal grain growth may be predicted. The gtain size distribution incross-section is different from that in 3-D system and can not express the evolution characteristic of the 3-D distribution. Furthermore, there exists statistical connection between the topological parameters in cross-section and thosein three-dimensions. 展开更多

The nearly analytic discrete(NAD)method is a kind of finite difference method with advantages of high accuracy and stability.Previous studies have investigated the NAD method for simulating wave propagation in the time-domain.This study applies the NAD method to solving three-dimensional(3D)acoustic wave equations in the frequency-domain.This forward modeling approach is then used as the“engine”for implementing 3D frequency-domain full waveform inversion(FWI).In the numerical modeling experiments,synthetic examples are first given to show the superiority of the NAD method in forward modeling compared with traditional finite difference methods.Synthetic 3D frequency-domain FWI experiments are then carried out to examine the effectiveness of the proposed methods.The inversion results show that the NAD method is more suitable than traditional methods,in terms of computational cost and stability,for 3D frequency-domain FWI,and represents an effective approach for inversion of subsurface model structures. 展开更多

Based on this theory, the physics equations and geometric equations of rock mechanical behavior under disc cutters of tunnel boring machine (TBM) are studied, and then the bal- ance equations of interactive forces between disc cutter and rock are established. Accordingly, formulas about normal force, rolling force and side force of a disc cutter are de- rived, and their validity is studied by tests. Dynamic Characteristic Mechanism of Atrial Septal Defect Using Real-Time Three-Dimensional Echocardiography and Evaluation of Right Ventricular Functions 被引量:7

The dynamic characteristics of the area of the atrial septal defect(ASD) were evaluated using the technique of real-time three-dimensional echocardiography(RT 3DE), the potential factors responsible for the dynamic characteristics of the area of ASD were observed, and the overall and local volume and functions of the patients with ASD were measured. RT 3DE was performed on the 27 normal controls and 28 patients with ASD. Based on the three-dimensional data workstations, the area of ASD was measured at P wave vertex, R wave vertex, T wave starting point, and T wave terminal point and in the T-P section. The right atrial volume in the same time phase of the cardiac cycle and the motion displacement distance of the tricuspid annulus in the corresponding period were measured. The measured value of the area of ASD was analyzed. The changes in the right atrial volume and the motion displacement distance of the tricuspid annulus in the normal control group and the ASD group were compared. The right ventricular ejection fractions in the normal control group and the ASD group were compared using the RT 3DE long-axis eight-plane(LA 8-plane) method. Real-time three-dimensional volume imaging was performed in the normal control group and ASD group(n=30). The right ventricular inflow tract, outflow tract, cardiac apex muscular trabecula dilatation, end-systolic volume, overall dilatation, end-systolic volume, and appropriate local and overall ejection fractions in both two groups were measured with the four-dimensional right ventricular quantitative analysis method(4D RVQ) and compared. The overall right ventricular volume and the ejection fraction measured by the LA 8-plane method and 4D RVQ were subjected to a related analysis. Dynamic changes occurred to the area of ASD in the cardiac cycle. The rules for dynamic changes in the area of ASD and the rules for changes in the right atrial volume in the cardiac cycle were consistent. The maximum value of the changes in the right atrial volume occurred in the end-systolic period when the peak of the curve appeared. The minimum value of the changes occurred in the end-systolic period and was located at the lowest point of the volume variation curve. The area variation curve for ASD and the motion variation curve for the tricuspid annulus in the cardiac cycle were the same. The displacement of the tricuspid annulus exhibited directionality. The measured values of the area of ASD at P wave vertex, R wave vertex, T wave starting point, T wave terminal point and in the T-P section were properly correlated with the right atrial volume(P〈0.001). The area of ASD and the motion displacement distance of the tricuspid annulus were negatively correlated(P〈0.05). The right atrial volumes in the ASD group in the cardiac cycle in various time phases increased significantly as compared with those in the normal control group(P=0.0001). The motion displacement distance of the tricuspid annulus decreased significantly in the ASD group as compared with that in the normal control group(P=0.043). The right ventricular ejection fraction in the ASD group was lower than that in the normal control group(P=0.032). The ejection fraction of the cardiac apex trabecula of the ASD patients was significantly lower than the ejection fractions of the right ventricular outflow tract and inflow tract and overall ejection fraction. The difference was statistically significant(P=0.005). The right ventricular local and overall dilatation and end-systolic volumes in the ASD group increased significantly as compared with those in the normal control group(P=0.031). The a RVEF and the overall ejection fraction decreased in the ASD group as compared with those in the normal control group(P=0.0005). The dynamic changes in the area of ASD and the motion curves for the right atrial volume and tricuspid annulus have the same dynamic characteristics. RT 3DE can be used to accurately evaluate the local and overall volume and functions of the right ventricle. The local and overall volume loads of the right ventricle in the ASD patients increase significantly as compared with those of the normal people. The right ventricular cardiac apex and the overall systolic function decrease. 展开更多
