Energy method for the vibration of two types of cylindrical shells,namely thin-walled homogeneous isotropic and manifold layered isotropic cylindrical shells under uniform external lateral pressure is presented.The study is carried out based on strain-displacement relationship from Love's shell theory with beam functions as axial modal function.A manifold layered cylindrical shell configuration is formed by three layers of isotropic material where the inner and outer layers are stainless steel and the middle layer is aluminum.The homogeneous cylindrical shell is made-up of isotropic one layer with stainless steel.The governing equations with uniform external lateral pressure for homogeneous isotropic and manifold layered isotropic cylindrical shells are obtained using energy functional by the Lagrangian function with Rayleigh-Ritz method.The boundary conditions that are presented at the end conditions of the cylindrical shell are simply supported-simply supported,clamped-clamped and free-free.The influences of uniform external lateral pressure and symmetrical boundary conditions on the natural frequency characteristics for both homogeneous and manifold layered isotropic cylindrical shells are examined.For all boundary conditions considered,the natural frequency of both cylindrical shells with symmetric uniform lateral pressure increases as h/R ratio increases and those considering natural frequency of the both cylindrical shells with symmetric uniform lateral pressure decrease as L/R ratio increases. 展开更多

It is an important subject to probe the structure in the medium by various kinds of detection methods in the geotechnical engineering. Based on the propagation theory of elastic wave in half-space layered medium, the propagation characteristics of elastic wave in layered medium with different elastic parameters are discussed using dynamic analysis of finite element method. It is known that the S-wave velocity, density and thickness of layer are related to the properties of the elastic wave including waveform characteristics, spectral characteristics and time-frequency characteristics. We pay special attention to the structure with low velocity interlayer. The impact imaging method is applied to the grouting construction of the immersed tube tunnel. Data acquisition and analytical method are introduced in detail. The grouting effects can be qualitatively evaluated by comparing the characteristics of elastic wave before grouting with those after grouting. Finally, a quantitative evaluation is obtained according to the relationship between energy response of elastic wave and impedance ratio. 展开更多

The effect of an adsorbed anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) on electron transfer (ET) reaction between ferricyanide aqueous solution and decamethylferrocene (DMFc) located on the adjacent organic phase was investigated for the first time by thin layer method. The adsorption of SDBS at the interface resulted in a decay in the cathodic plateau current of bimolecular reaction with increasing concentrations of SDBS in aqueous phase. However, the rate constant of electron transfer (ket) increased monotonically as the SDBS concentrations increased from 0 to 200 p, moFL. The experimental results showed that SDBS formed patches on the interface and influenced the structure of electrical double layer. 2009 Xiao Quan Lu. In numerical simulation of wave scattering under oblique incident body waves using the finite element method, the free field motion at the incident lateral boundary induced by the background layered half-space complicates the computational area. In order to replace the complex frequency domain method, a time-domain method to calculate the free field motion of a layered half-space subjected to oblique incident body waves is developed in this paper. The new method decouples the equations of motion used in the finite element method and offers an interpolation formula of the free field motion. This formula is based on the fact that the apparent horizontal velocity of the free field motion is constant and can be calculated exactly. Both the theoretical analysis and numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method offers a high degree of accuracy. 展开更多

Lithium-ion(Li-ion) battery and lithium-sulfur(Li-S) battery have attracted significant attention as promising components for large-scale energy storage because of high theoretical capacity of Li,excellent energy density or environmental friendness for two kinds of batteries.However,there still exist some respective obstacles for commercial applications,such as limited theoretical capacity,high cost and low conductivity of Li-ion cells or shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides of Li-S cells.As typical twodimensional materials,layered double hydroxides(LDHs) exhibit excellent potential in the field of energy storage due to facile tunability of composition,structure and morphology as well as convenient composite and strong catalytic properties.Consequently,various LDHs toward novel separators or interlayers,cathodes,anodes,and interesting catalytic templates are researched to resolve these challenges.In this review,the recent progress for LDHs applied in Li-ion batteries and Li-S batteries including the synthesis methods,designs and applications is presented and reviewed.Meanwhile,the existing challenges and future perspectives associated with material designs and practical applications of LDHs for these two classes of cells are discussed.WeWe hope that the review can attract more attention and inspire more profound researches toward the LDH-based electrochemical materials for energy storage. 展开更多

This paper presents an evaluation method for the entropy-weighting of wind power clusters that comprehensively evaluates the allocation problems of wind power clusters by considering the correlation between indicators and the dynamic performance of weight changes.A dynamic layered sorting allocation method is also proposed.The proposed evaluation method considers the power-limiting degree of the last cycle,the adjustment margin,and volatility.It uses the theory of weight variation to update the entropy weight coefficients of each indicator in real time,and then performs a fuzzy evaluation based on the membership function to obtain intuitive comprehensive evaluation results.A case study of a large-scale wind power base in Northwest China was conducted.The proposed evaluation method is compared with fixed-weight entropy and principal component analysis methods.The results show that the three scoring trends are the same,and that the proposed evaluation method is closer to the average level of the latter two,demonstrating higher accuracy.The proposed allocation method can reduce the number of adjustments made to wind farms,which is significant for the allocation and evaluation of wind power clusters. 展开更多

In this study,a fully coupled hydromechanical model within the extended finite element method(XFEM)-based cohesive zone method(CZM)is employed to investigate the simultaneous height growth behavior of multi-cluster hydraulic fractures in layered porous reservoirs with modulus contrast.The coupled hydromechanical model is first verified against an analytical solution and a laboratory experiment.Then,the fracture geometry(e.g.height,aperture,and area)and fluid pressure evolutions of multiple hydraulic fractures placed in a porous reservoir interbedded with alternating stiff and soft layers are investigated using the model.The stress and pore pressure distributions within the layered reservoir during fluid injection are also presented.The simulation results reveal that stress umbrellas are easily to form among multiple hydraulic fractures’tips when propagating in soft layers,which impedes the simultaneous height growth.It is also observed that the impediment effect of soft layer is much more significant in the fractures suppressed by the preferential growth of adjoining fractures.After that,the combined effect of in situ stress ratio and fracturing spacing on the multi-fracture height growth is presented,and the results elucidate the influence of in situ stress ratio on the height growth behavior depending on the fracture spacing.Finally,it is found that the inclusion of soft layers changes the aperture distribution of outmost and interior hydraulic fractures.The results obtained from this study may provide some insights on the understanding of hydraulic fracture height containment observed in filed. 展开更多

By applying axisymmetric finite element method (FEM),an expression relating the surface settlement and the reaction of the layered soil can be obtained. Such a reaction can be treated as load acting on the applied external load. Having the plate modelled by four-node elements,the governing equation of the plate can be formed and solved. In this case, the fundamental solution can be introduced into the global soil stiffness matrix and five-node or nine-node element soil stiffness matrix.The existing commercial FEM software can be used to solve the fundamental solution of soil, which can bypass the complicated formula derivation and boasts high computational efficiency as well. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of the layered progressive teaching method in the process of nursing teaching in the health management centre.Methods:100 nursing students in the health management centre of our hospital were randomly divided into two groups from April 2018 to April 2019,in which students of the control group were treated with routine teaching,while those of the experimental group were treated with layered progressive teaching.Then,the teaching effect of the two groups was compared and analysed.Results:The assessment results of nursing students in the two groups were compared,in which the theoretical knowledge scores and practical operation scores of nursing students in the experimental group were(94.34±2.33)and(90.45±2.20)respectively.By contrast,the score of students in the control group was lower and the difference between the two groups was not significant(P<0.50).The teaching effect of students in the experimental group is more significant.Conclusion:During the process of nursing teaching in the Health Management Centre,the progressive teaching method showed a significant clinical effect and could effectively enhance students’scores.Therefore,it is positively significant for clinical development. 展开更多

According to initial residual stress experiment for casting ZL205 A aluminum alloy tapered thin-walled blank by a common method,namely hole-drilling method,three finite element models with initial residual stress are established to simulate the layer removal method in ABAQUS and ANSYS software. By analyzing the results of simulation and experiments,the cutting residual stress inlayer removal process has a significant effect on measurement results. A rough surface with exponential correlation function is presented for describing a rough soil surface of layered medium, the formula of its scattering coefficient is derived by considering the spectrum of the rough surface with exponential correlation function; the curves of the bistatic scattering coefficient of HH polarization with variation of the scattering angle are obtained by numerical calculation. The influence of the permittivity of layered medium, the mean layer thickness of intermediate medium, the roughness surface parameters and the frequency of the incident wave on the blstatic scattering coefficient is discussed. Numerical results show that the influence of the permittivity of layered medium, the mean layer thickness of intermediate medium, the rms and the correlation length of the rough surface, and the frequency of the incident wave on the bistatic scattering coefficient is very complex. 展开更多

The axi-symmetric active earth pressure for layered backfills was investigated using the slip line method. Due to different soil properties, the interfaces of the soil layers were considered as discontinuity surface. Accordingly, the change of the major principal direction was obtained and a new computation scheme was proposed to deal with the discontinuity in the calculation, finally the slip line method was extended to layered backfills. Results indicate that, the major principal direction, as well as the earth pressure, has a finite jump on passing the soil interfaces. The magnitude of the jump depends on the soil properties mainly. Generally, the active earth pressure when a strong layer is overlying a weak layer is much larger than that when the weak layer is lying on the strong layer. The present solution can be reduced to plane strain case and it has been compared with Rankine's and Coulomb's results, and a good agreement is observed. 展开更多

The Laguerre polynomial method has been successfully used to investigate the dynamic responses of a half-space.However,it fails to obtain the correct stress at the interfaces in a layered half-space,especially when there are significant differences in material properties.Therefore,a coupled Legendre-Laguerre polynomial method with analytical integration is proposed.The Rayleigh waves in a one-dimensional(1D)hexagonal quasicrystal(QC)layered half-space with an imperfect interface are investigated.The correctness is validated by comparison with available results.Its computation efficiency is analyzed.The dispersion curves of the phase velocity,displacement distributions,and stress distributions are illustrated.The effects of the phonon-phason coupling and imperfect interface coefficients on the wave characteristics are investigated.Some novel findings reveal that the proposed method is highly efficient for addressing the Rayleigh waves in a QC layered half-space.It can save over 99%of the computation time.This method can be expanded to investigate waves in various layered half-spaces,including earth-layered media and surface acoustic wave(SAW)devices. 展开更多

According to the structural characteristics of gently inclined thin layer rock mass in which lots of weak interlayer existed,the concept of gently inclined thin layer weakness structure was proposed.If single-borehole measuring method of the acoustic along the conventional arrangement mode was used in measuring the broken rock zone in this structure,the change of the relationship curves (Vp-L) between acoustic p-wave velocity (Vp) and borehole depth (L) would present the irregular feature due to the mechanical characteristics of layered rock mass and harmful effects of weak interlayers,and the scope of broken rock zone couldn't be defined quickly.Based on the analysis of the me- chanical characteristics of layered rock mass,the propagation rule of acoustic and distri- butions characteristics of plastic zone and slip zone in layered rock mass,new arrange- ment mode of acoustic measuring boreholes for broken rock zone in gently inclined thin layer weakness structure was proposed.Namely,the measuring boreholes in two sides were parallel to the strata,the measuring boreholes in the roof and floor perpendicular to the strata.Besides the controlling depth of the measuring boreholes in the scope of the large plastic zones or the large slip zones should be increased.Engineering example showed that new acoustic measuring boreholes arrangement mode had the better appli- cability and could determine the scope of the broken rock zone in the gently inclined thin layer weakness structure quickly. 展开更多

Double-layered graphene sheets (DLGSs) can be applied to the development of a new generation of nanomechanical sensors due to their unique physical properties. A rectangular DLGS with a nanoparticle randomly located in the upper sheet is modeled as two nonlocal Kirchhoff plates connected by van der Waals forces. The Galerkin strip transfer function method which is a semi-analytical method is developed to compute the natural frequencies of the mass- plate vibrating system. It can give exact closed-form solutions along the longitudinal direction of the strip. The results obtained from the semi-analytical method are compared with the previous ones, and the differences between the single-layered graphene sheet (SLGS) and the DLGS mass sensors are also investigated. The results demonstrate the similarity of the in-phase mode between the SLGS and DLGS mass sensors. The sensitivity of the DLGS mass sensor can be increased by decreasing the nonlocal parameter, moving the attached nanoparticle closer to the DLGS center and making the DLGS smaller. These conclusions are helpful for the design and application of graphene-sheet-based resonators as nano-mass sensors. 展开更多

The final expressions for identifying the electrical conductivity are presented in the form of a series of analytic functions. Joint inversion with prestack waveform and spectral information for layered media

Subsurface reservoirs commonly exhibit layered structures.Conventional amplitude variation with angle(AVA)inversion,which relies on the Zoeppritz equation and its approximations,often fails to accurately estimate elastic parameters because it assumes single-interface models and ignores multiple reflections and transmission losses.To address these limitations,this study proposes a novel prestack time-frequency domain joint inversion method that utilizes the reflection matrix method(RMM)as the forward operator.The RMM accurately simulates wave propagation in layered media,while the joint inversion framework minimizes the misfit between observed and synthetic data in both the time and frequency domains.By incorporating Bayesian theory to optimize the inversion process,the method effectively balances contributions from both time-domain waveforms and frequency-domain spectral information through a weighting factor.Tests on both synthetic data and field data demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms conventional AVA inversion and time-domain waveform inversion in accuracy and robustness.Furthermore,the method demonstrates good robustness against variations in initial models,random noise,and coherent noise interference.This study provides a practical and effective approach for high-precision reservoir characterization,with potential applications in complex layered media. 展开更多
