Drug development for Alzheimer’s disease is extremely challenging,as demonstrated by the repeated failures of amyloid-β-targeted therapeutics and the controversies surrounding the amyloid-βcascade hypothesis.More r...Drug development for Alzheimer’s disease is extremely challenging,as demonstrated by the repeated failures of amyloid-β-targeted therapeutics and the controversies surrounding the amyloid-βcascade hypothesis.More recently,advances in the development of Lecanemab,an anti-amyloid-βmonoclonal antibody,have shown positive results in reducing brain A burden and slowing cognitive decline in patients with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease in the Phase Ⅲ clinical trial(Clarity Alzheimer’s disease).Despite these promising results,side effects such as amyloid-related imaging abnormalities(ARIA)may limit its usage.ARIA can manifest as ARIA-E(cerebral edema or effusions)and ARIA-H(microhemorrhages or superficial siderosis)and is thought to be caused by increased vascular permeability due to inflammatory responses,leading to leakages of blood products and protein-rich fluid into brain parenchyma.Endothelial dysfunction is an early pathological feature of Alzheimer’s disease,and the blood-brain barrier becomes increasingly leaky as the disease progresses.In addition,APOE4,the strongest genetic risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease,is associated with higher vascular amyloid burden,increased ARIA incidence,and accelerated blood-brain barrier disruptions.These interconnected vascular abnormalities highlight the importance of vascular contributions to the pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease.Here,we will closely examine recent research evaluating the heterogeneity of brain endothelial cells in the microvasculature of different brain regions and their relationships with Alzheimer’s disease progression.展开更多
With the continuous advancement of unmanned technology in various application domains,the development and deployment of blind-spot-free panoramic video systems have gained increasing importance.Such systems are partic...With the continuous advancement of unmanned technology in various application domains,the development and deployment of blind-spot-free panoramic video systems have gained increasing importance.Such systems are particularly critical in battlefield environments,where advanced panoramic video processing and wireless communication technologies are essential to enable remote control and autonomous operation of unmanned ground vehicles(UGVs).However,conventional video surveillance systems suffer from several limitations,including limited field of view,high processing latency,low reliability,excessive resource consumption,and significant transmission delays.These shortcomings impede the widespread adoption of UGVs in battlefield settings.To overcome these challenges,this paper proposes a novel multi-channel video capture and stitching system designed for real-time video processing.The system integrates the Speeded-Up Robust Features(SURF)algorithm and the Fast Library for Approximate Nearest Neighbors(FLANN)algorithm to execute essential operations such as feature detection,descriptor computation,image matching,homography estimation,and seamless image fusion.The fused panoramic video is then encoded and assembled to produce a seamless output devoid of stitching artifacts and shadows.Furthermore,H.264 video compression is employed to reduce the data size of the video stream without sacrificing visual quality.Using the Real-Time Streaming Protocol(RTSP),the compressed stream is transmitted efficiently,supporting real-time remote monitoring and control of UGVs in dynamic battlefield environments.Experimental results indicate that the proposed system achieves high stability,flexibility,and low latency.With a wireless link latency of 30 ms,the end-to-end video transmission latency remains around 140 ms,enabling smooth video communication.The system can tolerate packet loss rates(PLR)of up to 20%while maintaining usable video quality(with latency around 200 ms).These properties make it well-suited for mobile communication scenarios demanding high real-time video performance.展开更多
Few studies have investigated alterations in the immune cell microenvironment of the dorsal root ganglia following spinal cord injury and whether these modifications facilitate axonal regeneration.In this study,we use...Few studies have investigated alterations in the immune cell microenvironment of the dorsal root ganglia following spinal cord injury and whether these modifications facilitate axonal regeneration.In this study,we used a single-cell RNA sequencing dataset to create a comprehensive profile of the diverse cell types in the dorsal root ganglia and spinal cord of a mid-thoracic contusion injury model in cynomolgus monkeys.Cell communication analysis indicated that specific signaling events among various dorsal root ganglia cell types occur in response to spinal cord injury.Single-cell analysis using dimensionality reduction clustering identified distinct molecular signatures for nine cell types,including macrophage subpopulations,and differential gene expression profiles between dorsal root ganglia cells and spinal cord cells following spinal cord injury.The macrophage subpopulations were categorized into 11 clusters(MC0-MC10)based on differentially expressed genes,with the top 10 genes being ABCA6,RBMS3,EBF1,LAMA4,ANTXR2,LAMA2,SOX5,FOXP2,GHR,and APOD.MC0,MC1,and MC2 constituted the predominant macrophage populations.MC4,MC6,and MC9 were nearly absent in the spinal cord,but exhibited significant increases in the dorsal root ganglia post-spinal cord injury.Notably,these subpopulations possess a strong capacity for regulating axonal regeneration.The developmental progression of dorsal root ganglia macrophages after spinal cord injury was elucidated using cell trajectory and pseudo-time analyses.Genes such as EBF1(MC6 and MC9 marker),RBMS3(MC6 and MC9 marker),and ABCA6(MC6 marker)showed high expression levels in the critical pathways of macrophage function.Through ligand-receptor pair analysis,we determined that the effects of macrophages on microglia are predominantly mediated through interaction pairs(e.g.,SPP1-CD44,LAMC1-CD44,and FN1-CD44),potentially facilitating specific cellular communications within the immune microenvironment.The single-cell RNA sequencing dataset used in this study represents the first comprehensive transcriptional analysis of the dorsal root ganglia after spinal cord injury in cynomolgus monkeys,encompassing nearly all cell types within the dorsal root ganglia region.Using this dataset,we evaluated diverse subtypes of macrophages in the post-spinal cord injury dorsal root ganglia area and examined the signaling pathways that facilitate interactions among immune response-related macrophages in the dorsal root ganglia.Findings from this study provide a theoretical basis for understanding how the immune microenvironment influences the regenerative capacity of dorsal root ganglia neurons after spinal cord injury and offer novel insights into the complex processes underlying the pathobiology of spinal cord injury.展开更多

BACKGROUND Child vaccination plays a great role in preventing infectious diseases in children.While Ethiopia has emphasized child vaccination,its effectiveness largely depends on efficient communication between health...BACKGROUND Child vaccination plays a great role in preventing infectious diseases in children.While Ethiopia has emphasized child vaccination,its effectiveness largely depends on efficient communication between health practitioners and mothers/caregivers.Thus,sufficient communication contributes to promoting child immunization and in turn improving child health.AIM To examine child vaccine communication practices and strategies as well as their relationship with sociodemographic characteristics of respondents in the Amhara region of Ethiopia.METHODS A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted using a pretested Likert scale questionnaire and distributed to 123 health workers in primary healthcare centers between April 2024 and June 2024.The data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics.RESULTS The results indicated that the most common vaccine communication activities included education and communication(mean score=24.1),vaccine data registration(mean score=8.86),and information exchange(mean score=8.3).A significant correlation was found between the implementation of interpersonal health communication principles and immunization communication training(F=341.756,P=0.000,P<0.05).However,no significant correlations were observed between age,education,work experience,and vaccine communication practices.Additionally,the study found that the application of interpersonal communication principles was associated with the perceived relevance of immunization communication(F=27.790,P=0.000,P<0.05).CONCLUSION Based on the findings the study concluded that communication practice in promoting child immunization is insufficient.To enhance vaccine acceptance,continuous immunization communication training for health workers is recommended.展开更多

Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an integrative educational intervention-combining hospital-based schooling programs,child-centered communication,and therapeutic play-on clinical,psychosocia...Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an integrative educational intervention-combining hospital-based schooling programs,child-centered communication,and therapeutic play-on clinical,psychosocial,and educational outcomes among school-aged children with cancer.Materials and Methods:A quasi-experimental pre-and post-test control group design was conducted at the pediatric oncology unit of Rumah Sakit Islam Jemursari,Surabaya,Indonesia.Fifty-two hospitalized children aged 6-18 years were randomly assigned to an intervention group(n=26)or a control group(n=26).The intervention lasted 1 month and integrated hospital-based lessons aligned with the national curriculum,therapeutic play,and developmentally appropriate communication by trained staff.Outcomes included pain intensity(Wong-Baker FACES Scale),treatment adherence,quality of life(Pediatric Cancer Quality of Life-32[PCQL-32]),anxiety(Revised Children’s Manifest Anxiety Scale),and literacy-numeracy performance.Data were analyzed using paired t-tests,ANCOVA,and Cohen’s d,with significance set at P<0.05.Results:Compared with controls,the intervention group showed significant improvements in pain reduction(P<0.001),treatment adherence(P<0.001),and quality of life across all PCQL-32 domains(P<0.001).Anxiety levels decreased significantly(P<0.001),and academic performance in literacy and numeracy improved markedly(P<0.001).Conclusion:The integrative educational intervention effectively enhanced clinical recovery,psychosocial well-being,and academic continuity among hospitalized children with cancer,emphasizing the need to integrate hospital-based education and play-based communication into pediatric oncology care.展开更多

This study examines the digital transformation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)education within the context of global standardization,along with the challenges and opportunities of its cross-cultural dissemination...This study examines the digital transformation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)education within the context of global standardization,along with the challenges and opportunities of its cross-cultural dissemination.With the rapid advancement of technologies such as artificial intelligence,virtual reality,and blockchain,TCM education is experiencing a significant disruption and innovation of its traditional models.The research develops a“Standard-Technology-Culture”tri-spiral model to analyze how TCM education can achieve a seamless integration of standardization,technological innovation,and cultural preservation during its globalization process.The study finds that standardization provides the foundation for TCM education’s global expansion,while technological innovation drives the transformation of educational methodologies.Simultaneously,cultural preservation ensures the distinctiveness of TCM education.However,the tension between standardization and the unique characteristics of TCM,as well as the balance between technological empowerment and cultural transmission,remain critical challenges in the ongoing transformation.Based on these findings,the study proposes strategies such as the“digital apprenticeship”model and blockchain-based certification systems to advance the globalization and digital transformation of TCM education,providing theoretical support for the creation of a global health community.展开更多

Through a mixed-methods approach combining experimental design and qualitative analysis (N = 120), we examine how AI intermediaries influence communication dynamics, relationship building, and decision-making processes. Results indicate that while AMC initially creates barriers to trust formation, it ultimately leads to enhanced communication outcomes and stronger professional relationships when implemented with appropriate transparency and support. The study revealed a 31% improvement in cross-cultural understanding and a 24% increase in negotiation satisfaction rates when using AI-mediated channels with proper transparency measures. These findings contribute to the theoretical understanding of technology-mediated communication and practical applications for organizations implementing AI communication tools.展开更多

文摘Few studies have investigated alterations in the immune cell microenvironment of the dorsal root ganglia following spinal cord injury and whether these modifications facilitate axonal regeneration.In this study,we used a single-cell RNA sequencing dataset to create a comprehensive profile of the diverse cell types in the dorsal root ganglia and spinal cord of a mid-thoracic contusion injury model in cynomolgus monkeys.Cell communication analysis indicated that specific signaling events among various dorsal root ganglia cell types occur in response to spinal cord injury.Single-cell analysis using dimensionality reduction clustering identified distinct molecular signatures for nine cell types,including macrophage subpopulations,and differential gene expression profiles between dorsal root ganglia cells and spinal cord cells following spinal cord injury.The macrophage subpopulations were categorized into 11 clusters(MC0-MC10)based on differentially expressed genes,with the top 10 genes being ABCA6,RBMS3,EBF1,LAMA4,ANTXR2,LAMA2,SOX5,FOXP2,GHR,and APOD.MC0,MC1,and MC2 constituted the predominant macrophage populations.MC4,MC6,and MC9 were nearly absent in the spinal cord,but exhibited significant increases in the dorsal root ganglia post-spinal cord injury.Notably,these subpopulations possess a strong capacity for regulating axonal regeneration.The developmental progression of dorsal root ganglia macrophages after spinal cord injury was elucidated using cell trajectory and pseudo-time analyses.Genes such as EBF1(MC6 and MC9 marker),RBMS3(MC6 and MC9 marker),and ABCA6(MC6 marker)showed high expression levels in the critical pathways of macrophage function.Through ligand-receptor pair analysis,we determined that the effects of macrophages on microglia are predominantly mediated through interaction pairs(e.g.,SPP1-CD44,LAMC1-CD44,and FN1-CD44),potentially facilitating specific cellular communications within the immune microenvironment.The single-cell RNA sequencing dataset used in this study represents the first comprehensive transcriptional analysis of the dorsal root ganglia after spinal cord injury in cynomolgus monkeys,encompassing nearly all cell types within the dorsal root ganglia region.Using this dataset,we evaluated diverse subtypes of macrophages in the post-spinal cord injury dorsal root ganglia area and examined the signaling pathways that facilitate interactions among immune response-related macrophages in the dorsal root ganglia.Findings from this study provide a theoretical basis for understanding how the immune microenvironment influences the regenerative capacity of dorsal root ganglia neurons after spinal cord injury and offer novel insights into the complex processes underlying the pathobiology of spinal cord injury.

文摘BACKGROUND Child vaccination plays a great role in preventing infectious diseases in children.While Ethiopia has emphasized child vaccination,its effectiveness largely depends on efficient communication between health practitioners and mothers/caregivers.Thus,sufficient communication contributes to promoting child immunization and in turn improving child health.AIM To examine child vaccine communication practices and strategies as well as their relationship with sociodemographic characteristics of respondents in the Amhara region of Ethiopia.METHODS A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted using a pretested Likert scale questionnaire and distributed to 123 health workers in primary healthcare centers between April 2024 and June 2024.The data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics.RESULTS The results indicated that the most common vaccine communication activities included education and communication(mean score=24.1),vaccine data registration(mean score=8.86),and information exchange(mean score=8.3).A significant correlation was found between the implementation of interpersonal health communication principles and immunization communication training(F=341.756,P=0.000,P<0.05).However,no significant correlations were observed between age,education,work experience,and vaccine communication practices.Additionally,the study found that the application of interpersonal communication principles was associated with the perceived relevance of immunization communication(F=27.790,P=0.000,P<0.05).CONCLUSION Based on the findings the study concluded that communication practice in promoting child immunization is insufficient.To enhance vaccine acceptance,continuous immunization communication training for health workers is recommended.
文摘Since 2016,the General Secretary has repeatedly emphasized to strengthen the cultivation of international communication ability,emphasizing that foreign languages are the link of international communication and it has become a key factor in focusing on telling the Chinese story.The cultivation of international communication ability and the mutual learning of world civilizations need to shoulder new responsibilities of foreign language education.Foreign language education needs to build and enhance civilization mutual learning as its own responsibility,and promote theoretical and practical innovation.This article is based on the background,basic concepts,framework building,and summary thinking of international communication ability.

文摘Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an integrative educational intervention-combining hospital-based schooling programs,child-centered communication,and therapeutic play-on clinical,psychosocial,and educational outcomes among school-aged children with cancer.Materials and Methods:A quasi-experimental pre-and post-test control group design was conducted at the pediatric oncology unit of Rumah Sakit Islam Jemursari,Surabaya,Indonesia.Fifty-two hospitalized children aged 6-18 years were randomly assigned to an intervention group(n=26)or a control group(n=26).The intervention lasted 1 month and integrated hospital-based lessons aligned with the national curriculum,therapeutic play,and developmentally appropriate communication by trained staff.Outcomes included pain intensity(Wong-Baker FACES Scale),treatment adherence,quality of life(Pediatric Cancer Quality of Life-32[PCQL-32]),anxiety(Revised Children’s Manifest Anxiety Scale),and literacy-numeracy performance.Data were analyzed using paired t-tests,ANCOVA,and Cohen’s d,with significance set at P<0.05.Results:Compared with controls,the intervention group showed significant improvements in pain reduction(P<0.001),treatment adherence(P<0.001),and quality of life across all PCQL-32 domains(P<0.001).Anxiety levels decreased significantly(P<0.001),and academic performance in literacy and numeracy improved markedly(P<0.001).Conclusion:The integrative educational intervention effectively enhanced clinical recovery,psychosocial well-being,and academic continuity among hospitalized children with cancer,emphasizing the need to integrate hospital-based education and play-based communication into pediatric oncology care.
文摘Against the backdrop of in-depth globalization and the rise of cultural mutual learning,the international communication of China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage(ICH)has become a key vehicle for enhancing China’s cultural soft power and engaging in global cultural dialogue.However,in cross-cultural contexts,this communication faces structural dilemmas at multiple levels.From a cross-cultural perspective,this study proposes targeted solutions to address these dilemmas.The ultimate goal is to promote the transformation of China’s ICH international communication from“symbolic display”to“meaning sharing”and from“cultural output”to“value resonance”,thereby enhancing the effectiveness of cross-cultural communication and advancing the global recognition of China’s ICH.

文摘The“Belt and Road”initiative has led to a diversified and increasing demand for international talents,signifying that current foreign language teaching needs to promote the integration and interaction of online and offline methods,deeply reform classrooms,and innovate learner-centered teaching models.A survey of the language abilities of university students at 9 border-region institutions revealed that oral expression skills were the weakest among the five measured dimensions:listening,speaking,reading,writing,and translation.Given this situation,this study employed a controlled experiment to explore and analyze the impact of pre-task planning intervention on students’learning attitudes,learning strategies,and oral communication abilities,aiming to provide insights for improving overall oral communication teaching.

文摘Couplets,as a vital symbol of Chinese traditional culture,hold prominent cultural significance in Beijing’s urban neighborhoods.This paper assesses the current state of cultural communication efficacy regarding couplets in Beijing’s neighborhoods,identifying challenges including fragile cultural ecosystems,limitations of communication agents,homogeneity in content and forms,and outdated dissemination mechanisms.To address these issues,the study conducts an in-depth analysis of strategies to enhance the cultural dissemination capacity of Beijing’s neighborhood couplet culture,proposing comprehensive enhancement pathways.The research aims to effectively elevate the cultural influence of Beijing’s neighborhood couplet culture and facilitate the city’s development as a national cultural center.
文摘This study examines the digital transformation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)education within the context of global standardization,along with the challenges and opportunities of its cross-cultural dissemination.With the rapid advancement of technologies such as artificial intelligence,virtual reality,and blockchain,TCM education is experiencing a significant disruption and innovation of its traditional models.The research develops a“Standard-Technology-Culture”tri-spiral model to analyze how TCM education can achieve a seamless integration of standardization,technological innovation,and cultural preservation during its globalization process.The study finds that standardization provides the foundation for TCM education’s global expansion,while technological innovation drives the transformation of educational methodologies.Simultaneously,cultural preservation ensures the distinctiveness of TCM education.However,the tension between standardization and the unique characteristics of TCM,as well as the balance between technological empowerment and cultural transmission,remain critical challenges in the ongoing transformation.Based on these findings,the study proposes strategies such as the“digital apprenticeship”model and blockchain-based certification systems to advance the globalization and digital transformation of TCM education,providing theoretical support for the creation of a global health community.
文摘This study investigates the effects of AI-mediated communication (AMC) on trust-building and negotiation outcomes in professional remote collaboration settings. Through a mixed-methods approach combining experimental design and qualitative analysis (N = 120), we examine how AI intermediaries influence communication dynamics, relationship building, and decision-making processes. Results indicate that while AMC initially creates barriers to trust formation, it ultimately leads to enhanced communication outcomes and stronger professional relationships when implemented with appropriate transparency and support. The study revealed a 31% improvement in cross-cultural understanding and a 24% increase in negotiation satisfaction rates when using AI-mediated channels with proper transparency measures. These findings contribute to the theoretical understanding of technology-mediated communication and practical applications for organizations implementing AI communication tools.
