We investigate the null tests of cosmic accelerated expansion by using the baryon acoustic oscillation(BAO)data measured by the dark energy spectroscopic instrument(DESI)and reconstruct the dimensionless Hubble parame...We investigate the null tests of cosmic accelerated expansion by using the baryon acoustic oscillation(BAO)data measured by the dark energy spectroscopic instrument(DESI)and reconstruct the dimensionless Hubble parameter E(z)from the DESI BAO Alcock-Paczynski(AP)data using Gaussian process to perform the null test.We find strong evidence of accelerated expansion from the DESI BAO AP data.By reconstructing the deceleration parameter q(z) from the DESI BAO AP data,we find that accelerated expansion persisted until z■0.7 with a 99.7%confidence level.Additionally,to provide insights into the Hubble tension problem,we propose combining the reconstructed E(z) with D_(H)/r_(d) data to derive a model-independent result r_(d)h=99.8±3.1 Mpc.This result is consistent with measurements from cosmic microwave background(CMB)anisotropies using the ΛCDM model.We also propose a model-independent method for reconstructing the comoving angular diameter distance D_(M)(z) from the distance modulus μ,using SNe Ia data and combining this result with DESI BAO data of D_(M)/r_(d) to constrain the value of r_(d).We find that the value of r_(d),derived from this model-independent method,is smaller than that obtained from CMB measurements,with a significant discrepancy of at least 4.17σ.All the conclusions drawn in this paper are independent of cosmological models and gravitational theories.展开更多
The uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of rocks is a vital geomechanical parameter widely used for rock mass classification,stability analysis,and engineering design in rock engineering.Various UCS testing methods and ...The uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of rocks is a vital geomechanical parameter widely used for rock mass classification,stability analysis,and engineering design in rock engineering.Various UCS testing methods and apparatuses have been proposed over the past few decades.The objective of the present study is to summarize the status and development in theories,test apparatuses,data processing of the existing testing methods for UCS measurement.It starts with elaborating the theories of these test methods.Then the test apparatus and development trends for UCS measurement are summarized,followed by a discussion on rock specimens for test apparatus,and data processing methods.Next,the method selection for UCS measurement is recommended.It reveals that the rock failure mechanism in the UCS testing methods can be divided into compression-shear,compression-tension,composite failure mode,and no obvious failure mode.The trends of these apparatuses are towards automation,digitization,precision,and multi-modal test.Two size correction methods are commonly used.One is to develop empirical correlation between the measured indices and the specimen size.The other is to use a standard specimen to calculate the size correction factor.Three to five input parameters are commonly utilized in soft computation models to predict the UCS of rocks.The selection of the test methods for the UCS measurement can be carried out according to the testing scenario and the specimen size.The engineers can gain a comprehensive understanding of the UCS testing methods and its potential developments in various rock engineering endeavors.展开更多

Our normalization study was conducted on 348 subjects (156 female and 192 male). The subjects were classified into four groups based on age (18 - 39 years, 40 - 59 years, 60 - 69 years and ≥70 years), and three groups based on educational level (3 - 6 years, 7 - 10 years and ≥11 years). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics through SPSS. The results displayed that increasing age and decreasing levels of education significantly result in a decreased performance on the Trail A, Moroccan Trail B and English Trail B. Only 229 bilingual subjects among the 348 initial subjects completed both versions of Trail B. There was no significant difference on performance between Moroccan Trail B and English Trail B for these subjects.展开更多

It is found that the universe may be opaque between the redshift regions 0.35 0.44, 0.44 0.57 and 0.6-0.73 since the best fit values of cosmic opacity in these regions are positive, while a transparent universe is favored in the redshift region 0.57-0.63. This work contributed to a detailed study on a better understanding of the Jominy test, adopted a proportion of study to create the Jominy test device, exhibited favorable conceptions for the development of a prototyp...This work contributed to a detailed study on a better understanding of the Jominy test, adopted a proportion of study to create the Jominy test device, exhibited favorable conceptions for the development of a prototype of the device, covering the four aspects of the project, being they: test device, test body heating system, test automation and instrumentation using embedded electronics and financial analysis for the elaboration of this project in Brazil. It was possible to observe in the results that the system is efficient, simple and functional, it was possible to obtain the first test carried out in the controlled environment the temperature data in degrees centigrade, the recorded data were automatically launched in Microsoft Excel by the PLX DAQ software, making the acquisition of the data. In the matter of preparing the test device, the drawings are presented in the 3D modeling software, cost tables of the materials used for assembly in Brazil. In terms of the heating system, a heating system was adopted that uses electromagnetic induction, the cost of materials related to the heating system design was also presented. Another relevant factor that contributes to the research and improvement of the prototype is the municipality, located in the Paraiba Valley region, located in the state of <span style="white-space:nowrap;">São </span>Paulo, consisting of a fertile and relevant scenario of regional, national, international and multinational statistics, thus concluding the effectiveness for the mainly metallurgical industries. The results obtained were satisfactory and consistent, when they were created for the Jominy test device with the ability to submit small pieces for testing and mainly essential in the didactic point of view for a higher education institution of engineering and technology.展开更多

The multifaceted nature of these influences makes the surveillance of mass movements a highly intricate task, requiring an understanding of numerous interdependent variables. Recent years have seen an emergence in scholarly research aimed at integrating geophysical and geotechnical methodologies. The conjoint examination of geophysical and geotechnical data offers an enhanced perspective into subsurface structures. Within this work, a methodology is proposed for the synchronous analysis of electrical resistivity geophysical data and geotechnical data, specifically those extracted from the Light Dynamic Penetrometer (DPL) and Standard Penetration Test (SPT). This study involved a linear fitting process to correlate resistivity with N10/SPT N-values from DPL/SPT soundings, culminating in a 2D profile of N10/SPT N-values predicated on electrical profiles. The findings of this research furnish invaluable insights into slope stability by allowing for a two-dimensional representation of penetration resistance properties. Through the synthesis of geophysical and geotechnical data, this project aims to augment the comprehension of subsurface conditions, with potential implications for refining landslide risk evaluations. The analyzed tube system parameters include tube length, inside diameter, curvature, deflection angle, thickness, material, restrictor length,restrictor inside diameter, and restrictor place. It is found that all the tube system parameters mentioned above except tube curvature have non-negligible effects on fluctuating pressure. Based on the research results, test methods were presented for the fluctuating pressure measurement in low-speed wind tunnel, which can obviously improve the data accuracy but not lose test efficiency. The effectiveness of the method is verified by the wind tunnel test.展开更多

The grey relation coefficient of displacement curvature is defined and used to locate damage in the structure, and an iterative estimation scheme for solving nonlinear optimization programming problems based on the quadratic programming technique is used to identify the damage magnitude. A numerical example of a cantilever beam with single or multiple damages is used to examine the capability of the proposed grey-theory-based method to localize and identify damages. The factors of meas-urement noise and incomplete test data are also discussed. The numerical results showed that the damage in the structure can be localized correctly through using the grey-related coefficient of displacement curvature, and the damage magnitude can be iden-tified with a high degree of accuracy, regardless of the number of measured displacement nodes. This proposed method only requires limited static test data, which is easily available in practice, and has wide applications in structural damage detection.展开更多

A goodness-of-fit test based on Rosenblatt's transformation was mathematically expanded from two dimensions to three dimensions and procedures of a bootstrap version of the test were provided. Through stochastic copula simulation, an empirical application of historical drought data at the Lintong Gauge Station shows that the goodness-of-fit tests perform well, revealing that both trivariate Gaussian and Student t copulas are acceptable for modeling the dependence structures of the observed drought duration, severity, and peak. The goodness-of-fit tests for multi-dimensional copulas can provide further support and help a lot in the potential applications of a wider range of copulas to describe the associations of correlated hydrological variables. However, for the application of copulas with the number of dimensions larger than three, more complicated computational efforts as well as exploration and parameterization of corresponding copulas are required.展开更多

The asymptotic variance-covariance matrix and the approximate confidence intervals are obtained based on normal approximation to the asymptotic distribution of MLEs of model parameters. Moreover,two bootstrap confidence intervals are constructed by using the parametric bootstrap method. The optimal time of changing stress levels is determined under D-optimality and A-optimality criteria.Finally, the Monte Carlo simulation study is carried out to illustrate the proposed procedures.展开更多

The linear predicate functions on a given path was directly used to construct a linear constrain system for input variables. Only when the predicate function is nonlinear, does the linear arithmetic representation need to be computed. If the entire predicate functions on the given path are linear, either the desired test data or the guarantee that the path is infeasible can be gotten from the solution of the constrain system. Otherwise, the iterative refining for the input is required to obtain the desired test data. Theoretical analysis and test results show that the approach is simple and effective, and takes less computation. The scheme can also be used to generate path-based test data for the programs with arrays and loops.展开更多

This non-linearity is most marked at lower stress levels, the failure envelope being of quasi-parabolic shape. It is not easy to calibrate these nonlinear failure envelopes from triaxial test data. Currently only the power-type failure envelope has been studied with an established formal procedure for its determination from triaxial test data. In this paper, a simplified procedure is evolved for the development of four different types of nonlinear envelopes. These are of invaluable assistance in the evaluation of true factors of safety in problems of slope stability and correct computation of lateral earth pressure and bearing capacity. The use of the Mohr-Coulomb failure envelopes leads to an overestimation of the factors of safety and other geotechnical quantities.展开更多

A variety of faulty radar echoes may cause serious problems with radar data applications,especially radar data assimilation and quantitative precipitation estimates.In this study,"test pattern" caused by test signal...A variety of faulty radar echoes may cause serious problems with radar data applications,especially radar data assimilation and quantitative precipitation estimates.In this study,"test pattern" caused by test signal or radar hardware failures in CINRAD (China New Generation Weather Radar) SA and SB radar operational observations are investigated.In order to distinguish the test pattern from other types of radar echoes,such as precipitation,clear air and other non-meteorological echoes,five feature parameters including the effective reflectivity data percentage (Rz),velocity RF (range folding) data percentage (RRF),missing velocity data percentage (RM),averaged along-azimuth reflectivity fluctuation (RNr,z) and averaged along-beam reflectivity fluctuation (RNa,z) are proposed.Based on the fuzzy logic method,a test pattern identification algorithm is developed,and the statistical results from all the different kinds of radar echoes indicate the performance of the algorithm.Analysis of two typical cases with heavy precipitation echoes located inside the test pattern are performed.The statistical results show that the test pattern identification algorithm performs well,since the test pattern is recognized in most cases.Besides,the algorithm can effectively remove the test pattern signal and retain strong precipitation echoes in heavy rainfall events.展开更多

Different characters of damping force, air rebound force and friction force can be applied to seperate each force from others. A massive produced air filling shock absorber is adopted for the validation. The statistic test is used to get the displacement-force curves. The data are used as the input of separation calculation. Then the tests are carried out again to obtain the force data without air rebound force. The force without air rebound is compared to the data derived from the former tests with the separation method. The result shows that this method can separate the damping force and the air elastic force.展开更多

Compres- sion software of water vapor monitoring system by Beidou satellite can be designed into three components: real-time compression software, check compression software and manual compression software, which respectively completes the compression tasks under real-time receiving, in-time check and separate compression, thereby forming a perfect compression system. Taking the design of manual compression software as guide,and using c language to develop,compression test of original receiving data is conducted. Test result proves that the system can carry out batch auto- matic compression, and compression rate can reach 30% ,which can reach the target of saving space in a degree.展开更多

This study involved a linear fitting process to correlate resistivity with N10/SPT N-values from DPL/SPT soundings, culminating in a 2D profile of N10/SPT N-values predicated on electrical profiles. The findings of this research furnish invaluable insights into slope stability by allowing for a two-dimensional representation of penetration resistance properties. Through the synthesis of geophysical and geotechnical data, this project aims to augment the comprehension of subsurface conditions, with potential implications for refining landslide risk evaluations. This endeavor offers insight into the formulation of more effective and precise slope management protocols and disaster prevention strategies.
文摘In the era of big data,traditional statistical inference methods are faced with great challenges.Taking the two-sample distribution test scenario of big data as an example,this paper proposes the BB-KS test based on m out of n bootstrap for solving a single-machine memory and computing constraints.It is verified to the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed test method through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.The results show that the BB-KS test can improve the calculation efficiency of the test to a certain extent in the single machine scenario.

文摘The accuracy of fluctuating pressure test in wind tunnel is affected by the tube system. By employing contradistinctive experimental method, systematic study was conducted to investigate the effects of the tube system on fluctuating pressure. The analyzed tube system parameters include tube length, inside diameter, curvature, deflection angle, thickness, material, restrictor length,restrictor inside diameter, and restrictor place. It is found that all the tube system parameters mentioned above except tube curvature have non-negligible effects on fluctuating pressure. Based on the research results, test methods were presented for the fluctuating pressure measurement in low-speed wind tunnel, which can obviously improve the data accuracy but not lose test efficiency. The effectiveness of the method is verified by the wind tunnel test.

文摘A new structural damage identification method using limited test static displacement based on grey system theory is proposed in this paper. The grey relation coefficient of displacement curvature is defined and used to locate damage in the structure, and an iterative estimation scheme for solving nonlinear optimization programming problems based on the quadratic programming technique is used to identify the damage magnitude. A numerical example of a cantilever beam with single or multiple damages is used to examine the capability of the proposed grey-theory-based method to localize and identify damages. The factors of meas-urement noise and incomplete test data are also discussed. The numerical results showed that the damage in the structure can be localized correctly through using the grey-related coefficient of displacement curvature, and the damage magnitude can be iden-tified with a high degree of accuracy, regardless of the number of measured displacement nodes. This proposed method only requires limited static test data, which is easily available in practice, and has wide applications in structural damage detection.

文摘In this paper, it is discussed that two tests for varying dispersion of binomial data in the framework of nonlinear logistic models with random effects, which are widely used in analyzing longitudinal binomial data. One is the individual test and power calculation for varying dispersion through testing the randomness of cluster effects, which is extensions of Dean(1992) and Commenges et al (1994). The second test is the composite test for varying dispersion through simultaneously testing the randomness of cluster effects and the equality of random-effect means. The score test statistics are constructed and expressed in simple, easy to use, matrix formulas. The authors illustrate their test methods using the insecticide data (Giltinan, Capizzi & Malani (1988)).

文摘The question of how to choose a copula model that best fits a given dataset is a predominant limitation of the copula approach, and the present study aims to investigate the techniques of goodness-of-fit tests for multi-dimensional copulas. A goodness-of-fit test based on Rosenblatt's transformation was mathematically expanded from two dimensions to three dimensions and procedures of a bootstrap version of the test were provided. Through stochastic copula simulation, an empirical application of historical drought data at the Lintong Gauge Station shows that the goodness-of-fit tests perform well, revealing that both trivariate Gaussian and Student t copulas are acceptable for modeling the dependence structures of the observed drought duration, severity, and peak. The goodness-of-fit tests for multi-dimensional copulas can provide further support and help a lot in the potential applications of a wider range of copulas to describe the associations of correlated hydrological variables. However, for the application of copulas with the number of dimensions larger than three, more complicated computational efforts as well as exploration and parameterization of corresponding copulas are required.

文摘Under Type-Ⅱ progressively hybrid censoring, this paper discusses statistical inference and optimal design on stepstress partially accelerated life test for hybrid system in presence of masked data. It is assumed that the lifetime of the component in hybrid systems follows independent and identical modified Weibull distributions. The maximum likelihood estimations(MLEs)of the unknown parameters, acceleration factor and reliability indexes are derived by using the Newton-Raphson algorithm. The asymptotic variance-covariance matrix and the approximate confidence intervals are obtained based on normal approximation to the asymptotic distribution of MLEs of model parameters. Moreover,two bootstrap confidence intervals are constructed by using the parametric bootstrap method. The optimal time of changing stress levels is determined under D-optimality and A-optimality criteria.Finally, the Monte Carlo simulation study is carried out to illustrate the proposed procedures.

Taking Big Data platform of garlic industry chain as the core, using themethods of correlation analysis, smoothness test, co-integration test, and Grangercausality test, this paper analyzes the correlation, dynamic, and causality between garlicprice and young garlic shoot price. According to the current situation of garlic industry,the garlic industry service based on Big Data is put forward. It is concluded that there is apositive correlation between garlic price and young garlic shoot price, and there is a longtermstable dynamic equilibrium relationship between young garlic shoot price and garlicprice fluctuation, and young garlic shoot price can affect garlic price. Finally, it isproposed to strengthen the infrastructure construction of garlic Big Data, increase thetechnological innovation and application of garlic Big Data technology, and promote thesafety and security ability of the whole industry to promote the development of garlicindustry.
文摘By analyzing some existing test data generation methods, a new automated test data generation approach was presented. The linear predicate functions on a given path was directly used to construct a linear constrain system for input variables. Only when the predicate function is nonlinear, does the linear arithmetic representation need to be computed. If the entire predicate functions on the given path are linear, either the desired test data or the guarantee that the path is infeasible can be gotten from the solution of the constrain system. Otherwise, the iterative refining for the input is required to obtain the desired test data. Theoretical analysis and test results show that the approach is simple and effective, and takes less computation. The scheme can also be used to generate path-based test data for the programs with arrays and loops.
文摘It is now recognized that many geomaterials have nonlinear failure envelopes. This non-linearity is most marked at lower stress levels, the failure envelope being of quasi-parabolic shape. It is not easy to calibrate these nonlinear failure envelopes from triaxial test data. Currently only the power-type failure envelope has been studied with an established formal procedure for its determination from triaxial test data. In this paper, a simplified procedure is evolved for the development of four different types of nonlinear envelopes. These are of invaluable assistance in the evaluation of true factors of safety in problems of slope stability and correct computation of lateral earth pressure and bearing capacity. The use of the Mohr-Coulomb failure envelopes leads to an overestimation of the factors of safety and other geotechnical quantities.

文摘The characteristics of USB data acquisition system NI cDAQ and its control software LabVIEW are briefed.The methods for controlling GDS pressure and volume controller by LabVIEW through serial port communication are presented.A practical data sharing method among geotechnical testing systems is illustrated.As an application case on a modified conventional soil triaxial testing system,the automatic triaxial testing system is designed by LabVIEW.Based on the control panel,the cell pressure and back pressure can be controlled independently and the testing data can be recorded automatically.

文摘A variety of faulty radar echoes may cause serious problems with radar data applications,especially radar data assimilation and quantitative precipitation estimates.In this study,"test pattern" caused by test signal or radar hardware failures in CINRAD (China New Generation Weather Radar) SA and SB radar operational observations are investigated.In order to distinguish the test pattern from other types of radar echoes,such as precipitation,clear air and other non-meteorological echoes,five feature parameters including the effective reflectivity data percentage (Rz),velocity RF (range folding) data percentage (RRF),missing velocity data percentage (RM),averaged along-azimuth reflectivity fluctuation (RNr,z) and averaged along-beam reflectivity fluctuation (RNa,z) are proposed.Based on the fuzzy logic method,a test pattern identification algorithm is developed,and the statistical results from all the different kinds of radar echoes indicate the performance of the algorithm.Analysis of two typical cases with heavy precipitation echoes located inside the test pattern are performed.The statistical results show that the test pattern identification algorithm performs well,since the test pattern is recognized in most cases.Besides,the algorithm can effectively remove the test pattern signal and retain strong precipitation echoes in heavy rainfall events.

文摘In this study, the two-sided Empirical Bayes test (EBT) rules for the parameter of continuous one-parameter exponential family with contaminated data (errors in variables) are constructed by a deconvolution kernel method. The asymptotically optimal uniformly over a class of prior distributions and uniform rates of convergence, which depends on two types of the error distribu- tions for the proposed EBT rules, are obtained under suitable con- ditions. Finally, an example about the main results of this paper is given.
文摘A separation method is proposed to design and improve shock absorber according to the characteristics of each force. The method is validated by rig test. The force data measured during rig test is the resultant force of damping force, rebound force produced by pressed air, and friction force. Different characters of damping force, air rebound force and friction force can be applied to seperate each force from others. A massive produced air filling shock absorber is adopted for the validation. The statistic test is used to get the displacement-force curves. The data are used as the input of separation calculation. Then the tests are carried out again to obtain the force data without air rebound force. The force without air rebound is compared to the data derived from the former tests with the separation method. The result shows that this method can separate the damping force and the air elastic force.
文摘Water vapor monitoring system by Beidou satellite is a new detection system in meteorological department, which makes receiving amount of detected data and data storage and transmission pressure increase. Here, we try to use data compression to relieve pressure. Compres- sion software of water vapor monitoring system by Beidou satellite can be designed into three components: real-time compression software, check compression software and manual compression software, which respectively completes the compression tasks under real-time receiving, in-time check and separate compression, thereby forming a perfect compression system. Taking the design of manual compression software as guide,and using c language to develop,compression test of original receiving data is conducted. Test result proves that the system can carry out batch auto- matic compression, and compression rate can reach 30% ,which can reach the target of saving space in a degree.
