Statistical models for stream temperature prediction have been widely used because they are computationally simple, involve few parameters, and because of their relatively good accuracy. However, these models have not been evaluated in Peruvian Andean rivers. This work evaluates the main water temperature statistical models from the literature and fits them with data recorded in the Ichu River experimental watershed, Huancavelica-Peru. Three well-known models were reviewed: the Stefan & Preud’homme linear regression model and the Mohseni & Stefan 3- and 4-parameter logistic regression models. Ichu river water temperatures were simulated using the SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) hydrometeorological model, which defaults to the Stefan & Preud’homme model. Modifications and adjustment of coefficients of the evaluated models were configured in the SWAT code using the “Latin Hypercube Sampling” technique. The evaluated models showed poor performance in predicting the water temperature in the Ichu River with NSE (Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency) values ranging from -2.6 to 0.49, while the modified models showed NSE values of 0.72 in all three cases. Findings suggest that the statistical models shown in the literature should be validated for Andean rivers.展开更多

Here the estimations of the initial condition, boundary condition and model parameters are performed simultaneously in the framework of variational data assimilation. To overcome the difficulty of ill-posedness, especially for the model parameters distributed in space and time, an additional term is added into the cost functional as a stabilized functional. Numerical experiments show that even with noisy observations the initial conditions and model parameters are recovered to an acceptable degree of accuracy.展开更多

By analyzing the mechanism of LF thermal system, a thermal model with partial linear structure is obtained. Subsequently, modified ELM, named as partial linear extreme learning machine (PLELM), is developed to estimate the unknown coefficients and undefined function of the thermal model. Finally, a pruning Bagging method is pro- posed to establish the aggregated prediction model for the sake of overcoming the limitation of individual predictor and further improving the prediction performance. In the pruning procedure, AdaBoost is adopted to modify the ag- gregation order of the original Bagging ensembles, and a novel early stopping rule is designed to terminate the aggre- gation earlier. As a result, an optimal pruned Bagging ensemble is achieved, which is able to retain Bagging's ro- bustness against highly influential points, reduce the storage needs as well as speed up the computing time. The pro- posed prediction model is examined by practical data, and comparisons with other methods demonstrate that the new ensemble predictor can improve prediction accuracy, and is usually consisted compactly.展开更多

In order to prepare well-structured ribbons, the model of temperature field for single-roller melt-spinning process was constructed in this work. The heat conduction in this process was simplified as one dimensional heat conduction problem. It was shown by modeling that, the temperature field in the melt-spinning before solidification in this model could be described as this equa-tionT(x,t)=Tmoexp[-k(x-x0)-k2αt]+T0. The temperatureT(x,t) of the alloy melts decreased with increased positionx and cooling timet exponentially from the wheel-free surface to the wheel-side surface. The constantk determined the decrease speed of alloy tempera-tureT(x,t), which was proportional to the interfacial heat transfer coefficienth and the interfacial area of heat conductionA0, but in-versely proportional to the thermal conductivityK.x0 was the thickness of the alloy melt. With increasedx0, the temperature differ-ence between wheel-free surface and the wheel-side surface became larger, which would lead to larger difference in grain size. In ex-periments, the influence of melt-spinning process parameters on the temperature field model was discussed, such as cooling roller materials, wheel speed, and so on. Melt-spun ribbons prepared by single-roller melt spinning at different wheel speed were investi-gated and magnetic properties of die-upset magnets from melt-spun ribbons on different cooling roller were analyzed. The variation of grain size in the depth direction consisted with temperature field model. This model provided directions for the preparation of melt-spun ribbons with uniformly distributed fine grains, which were very necessary for producing hot-deformed magnets with high magnetic performance.展开更多

Because bond-breaking is indifferent to either means, there is a kind of equivalence between heat energy and strain energy. Based on this equivalence, we assume the existence of a constant maximum storage of energy that includes both the strain energy and the corresponding equivalent heat energy. A temperaturedependent fracture strength model is then developed for ultrahigh temperature ceramics (UHTCs). Model predictions for UHTCs, HfB2, TiC and ZrB2, are presented and compared with the experimental results. These predictions are found to be largely consistent with experimental results.展开更多

In order to remove systematic biases of the model climatological fields, interaction variables between atmosphere and ocean are also corrected simultaneously. The experiments show that the simulation results can be improved effectively if these interaction variables are corrected in spite of the fact that there always exist systematic biases in independent numerical simulations of atmospheric part and oceanic part within CGCM. The basic characteristics of the observed Pacific SSTA in September and October 1988 have been simulated by using the correction scheme, such as the negative SSTA domain in the whole E-quatorial Pacific east to 150°E and the positive SSTA domain in the Western Pacific, the northern subtropical Pacific and nearly the whole Southern Pacific. Further numerical simulations show that the model can simulate not only the SSTA in the Pacific and its seasonal variations but also its interannual changes (for example, La Nino event in the Equatorial Pacific terminated after May 1989) to a certain degree. Furthermore, some problems existing in experiment processes and what we shoud do in the following stage are also discussed and analysed in this paper.展开更多

文摘A dedicated weak current measurement system was designed to measure the weak currents generated by the neutron ionization chamber. This system incorporates a second-order low-pass filter circuit and the Kalman filtering algorithm to effectively filter out noise and minimize interference in the measurement results.Testing conducted under normal temperature conditions has demonstrated the system's high precision performance. However,it was observed that temperature variations can affect the measurement performance.Data were collected across temperatures ranging from -20 to 70℃,and a temperature correction model was established through linear regression fitting to address this issue. The feasibility of the temperature correction model was confirmed at temperatures of -5 and 40℃,where relative errors remained below 0.1% after applying the temperature correction. The research indicates that the designed measurement system exhibits excellent temperature adaptability and high precision, making it particularly suitable for measuring weak currents.

文摘Breaking down the entire structure of a material implies severing all the bonds between its atoms either by applying work or by heat transfer. These predictions are found to be largely consistent with experimental results.
文摘In cutting tool temperature experiment, a large number of related data could be available. In order to define the relationship among the experiment data, the nonlinear regressive curve of cutting tool temperature must be constructed based on the data. This paper proposes the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm for estimating the parameters such a curve. The PSO algorithm is an evolutional method based on a very simple concept. Comparison of PSO results with those of GA and LS methods showed that the PSO algorithm is more effective for estimating the parameters of the above curve.

文摘Metal organic chenlical vapor deposition (AIOCVD) growth systems arc one of the. main types of equipment used for growing single crystal materials, such as GaN. To obtain fihn epitaxial materials with uniform performanee, the flow field and ternperature field in a GaN-MOCVD reactor are investigated by modeling and simulating. To make the simulation results more consistent with the actual situation, the gases in the reactor are considered to be compressible, making it possible to investigate the distributions of gas density and pressure in the reactor. The computational fluid dynamics method is used to stud,v the effects of inlet gas flow velocity, pressure in the reactor, rotational speed of graphite susceptor, and gases used in the growth, which has great guiding~ significance for the growth of GaN fihn materials.
文摘In order to balance the contradiction between the demand of high precision and that of short time interval of model computing for the power plant simulator, a set of simulated mathematical models are constructed. The model describes the cylinder wall temperature located at four key positions of the high pressure cylinder. The simulated model is confirmed to be not only simple but also precise via comparison between the simulated results and the autoptic data of a power plant.
文摘In this paper, by analyzing the data of sea temperature in the Equatorial Western Pacific (EWP), we found that the sea temperature at sensitive district (WSST) (about at 6° N, depth of 125-150 m) is correlated negatively to the sea temperature in the Equatorial Eastern Pacific (EEP). On the basis of basic characteristics of Equatorial Pacific atmosphere and ocean, we designed a simple air-sea coupled model. Using this model,an ocean circulation was simulated. The east-west oscillation of sea temperature in Equatorial Pacific is related to this ocean circulation.
文摘By using the atmosphere-ocean coupled model (CGCM) which is composed of a 2-level global atmospheric general circulation model and a 4-layer Pacific oceanic general circulation model developed in the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and two model climatological fields got from the two independent models' numerical integrations respectively, the Pacific sea surface temperature anomalies (SSTA) from 1988 to 1989 are simulated in this paper with observed atmospheric general circulation data and sea surface temperature fields as initial conditions and monthly coupling scheme. Furthermore, some problems existing in experiment processes and what we shoud do in the following stage are also discussed and analysed in this paper.
