This qualitative research study addresses the research question of how the environmental sustainability initiative of 7G (Seventh Generation), a product design, marketing, and distribution company in the household a...This qualitative research study addresses the research question of how the environmental sustainability initiative of 7G (Seventh Generation), a product design, marketing, and distribution company in the household and personal care products, could be understood within its supply chain context using Tornatzky and Fleischer's TOE (Technology-Organization-Environment) framework. Content analysis, a research technique for making valid inferences from text following a set of procedures, was used and applied to secondary data materials on 7G. The findings reveal that the environmental, organizational, and technological contexts, which are key elements of the TOE framework, are useful in analyzing and comprehending the business practices and business processes adopted by 7G to pursue its sustainability initiative. Of particular interest are those business processes that were included by 7G's EMS (Environment Management System) and enabled by green IS (Information Systems). Both the strengths and weaknesses of 7G's efforts are discussed and suggestions are presented for modifying certain phases of the systems development life cycle methodology when implementing green IS.展开更多
This study aims to identify the key factors influencing the adoption of generative AI(GenAI)by Vietnamese banks and highlight the challenges and opportunities in digital transformation.It extends the technology-organi...This study aims to identify the key factors influencing the adoption of generative AI(GenAI)by Vietnamese banks and highlight the challenges and opportunities in digital transformation.It extends the technology-organization-environment(TOE)framework to incorporate GenAI-specific factors in the Vietnamese banking sector,characterized by rapid digitization and stringent regulations.A survey yielded 236 valid responses.The data were analyzed via partial least squares structural equation modeling(PLSSEM).The key factors identified include organizational readiness(OR),compatibility(CPT),competitive pressure(CP),complexity(CPL),relative advantage(RA),firm size(FS),and government support(GS).OR emerged as the most influential factor because of a robust IT infrastructure and skilled personnel.CPT and CP were also significant,driving banks to adopt GenAI for a competitive edge.However,CPL presents challenges,requiring simpler AI solutions and clear risk mitigation policies.This study enhances the understanding of GenAI adoption within the Vietnamese banking sector,emphasizing the importance of tailored strategies for different bank sizes and the critical role of technology readiness for effective integration.The findings provide actionable insights into banks navigating their digital transformation journeys.展开更多

Effective resource allocation and accountability are critical for public services in countries facing a crisis,to ensure minimum inequality and even save lives.Administrative innovation is introduced as public sector ...Effective resource allocation and accountability are critical for public services in countries facing a crisis,to ensure minimum inequality and even save lives.Administrative innovation is introduced as public sector reform to improve the performance and accountability of public sector organizations.Despite the said benefit,little has been done to study public administrative innovation in countries under crisis.This study extends the literature by examining the attitude of civil service managers to the administrative innovation in the Yemeni government representing a country in crisis from an integrated perspective of technology-organization-environment(TOE)and diffusion of innovation(DOI)theory.Data was collected from a survey of 200 civil service managers of the Yemeni central government.The result shows that the attitude of managers to private sector management style is scored the highest representing the key tool of the public administrative innovation.On the other hand,the downsizing elements were ranked the least significant as public sector reform elements.The explanatory model highlights the use of information technology,quality of human resources,and budget management orientation as significant factors for the applicability of public administrative innovation in the Yemeni central government.展开更多
The hospital is one of the commercial buildings with the most complex and challenging operational management stage,and digital twin has been an important tool to improve the efficiency and quality of hospital operatio...The hospital is one of the commercial buildings with the most complex and challenging operational management stage,and digital twin has been an important tool to improve the efficiency and quality of hospital operation management(HOM).As the largest developing country in the world,China has realized the potential of digital twin adoption in HOM,but the existing studies lack the systematic analysis of the determinants and the clarifying of their interrelationship.To fill these knowledge gaps,this paper employed Technology-Organization-Environment framework to sort out 12 determinants,and used DEMATEL-ISM method to analyze the interrelationships of determinants.The results showed that government policy was the determinant with the highest centrality degree and had the highest positive causality degree,while reliability was had lowest negative causality degree.User requirement was the only determinant at the root level,while the other three determinants under the environment dimension were at the deep and middle levels.The determinants under organizational dimension were located in the middle level and shallow level,and the determinants under technical dimension were all located in shallow level.Finally,three implications were put forward,including investigating user requirements for digital twin,leveraging support in the external environment and improving adoption readiness within the hospital.This study would not only enrich the academic framework in the field of HOM,but also provide the guidance for adopting digital twin in HOM in China and other similar economies around the world.展开更多
