In this regard, ...Nonlinear solution of reinforced concrete structures, particularly complete load-deflection response, requires tracing of the equilibrium path and proper treatment of the limit and bifurcation points. In this regard, ordinary solution techniques lead to instability near the limit points and also have problems in case of snap-through and snap-back. Thus they fail to predict the complete load-displacement response. The arc-length method serves the purpose well in principle, received wide acceptance in finite element analysis, and has been used extensively. However modifications to the basic idea are vital to meet the particular needs of the analysis. This paper reviews some of the recent developments of the method in the last two decades, with particular emphasis on nonlinear finite element analysis of reinforced concrete structures.展开更多

The optimum stabilizer of the beverage is CMC-Na with 0.03% amount.展开更多
Birds play a vital role in monitoring ecosystem health and biodiversity because they are relatively easy to observe and have been extensively studied. However, ongoing threats such as habitat destruction, fragmentatio...Birds play a vital role in monitoring ecosystem health and biodiversity because they are relatively easy to observe and have been extensively studied. However, ongoing threats such as habitat destruction, fragmentation, and environmental changes have significantly impacted their populations and distribution patterns. This study focuses on assess the variety and relative richness of bird species at Eastern Al Dabasin Bridge in Khartoum, Sudan, as well as evaluating their current conservation status furthermore examines human activities impacting bird populations. Monthly surveys, conducted using the Point Counts method across wet and dry seasons between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., documented species counts and locations. Identification utilized visual characteristics such as size, color, and vocalizations. A total of 3708 birds, representing 80 species from 17 orders and 41 families, were recorded. The most frequently observed species were the House Sparrow, Spur-winged Lapwing, Greater Blue-eared Starling, Laughing Dove, and Black Kite. Bird abundance peaked in June and December, with richness affected by seasonal and environmental conditions. All species observed were classified as Least Concern, underscoring the importance of conservation and sustainable management to protect local biodiversity and safeguard the long-term viability of bird populations in the area, it is essential to adopt a holistic approach to environmental management. This should include measures for pollution reduction, habitat rehabilitation, and the promotion of community education on the importance of conservation.展开更多
This paper presents a solar-powered interleaved high-gain boost converter(IHGBC)that increases voltage gain with fewer ripples in the output voltage in comparison to existing DC-DC converters.The goal of this research...This paper presents a solar-powered interleaved high-gain boost converter(IHGBC)that increases voltage gain with fewer ripples in the output voltage in comparison to existing DC-DC converters.The goal of this research is to develop a hybrid-based maximum power point tracking(MPPT)approach with the combination of a flower pollination(FP)algorithm assisted with a perturb&observe(P&O)MPPT approach for solar photovoltaic(SPV)systems integrated with IHGBC.To ensure effective usage of both FP and P&O algorithms,this study incorporates and validates the hybrid-based MPPT approach.The proposed solar-powered IHGBC with a hybrid-based MPPT algorithm has been computationally modelled and simulated using MATLAB®and Simulink®for both uniform and non-uniform irradiation and analysed for voltage gain,ripples in the output waveforms and convergence time.The proposed hybrid-based MPPT is based on a number of flowers that forecast the initial global peak,assisted by P&O in the last stage for faster convergence to attain the maximum power point(MPP).As a result,the hybrid-based MPPT approach alleviates the computational issues encountered in P&O and FP-based MPP approaches.The proposed hybrid MPPT is compared with conventional MPPT for SPV and the results show that the solar-powered IHGBC using a hybrid-based MPPT technique has negligible oscillations of 0.14%with a high-voltage gain of 7.992 and a fast convergence rate of 0.05 seconds compared to individual P&O-based MPPT and FP-based MPPT techniques.The simulation results of the proposed MPPT with IHGBC outperform the conventional MPPT with high-gain converters.展开更多

It is numericallyverified that adaptive-manually technique is effective to generate more continuous, smoothand orthogonal Laplace grid system. Numerical results show that there exist vortices andlower pressure domains around the damaged zone, which strengthen the wear by solidparticle in the drilling nuid and induce the cavitation effect, finally causing the erosion anddecrease in the life of rock bit. The damage could be avoided by some modification of theinternal flow structure of rock bit.展开更多
