Therefore, the present study was aimed to explore English teachers’ beliefs about Inner Mongolian university students’ multilingual awareness in L3 learning and their teaching practice in Chinese EFL context. One hundred English teachers from six universities in Inner Mongolia, China, participated in this investigation. The data was collected through a questionnaire and teacher interviews. The results indicate that English teachers hold positive attitudes to multilingual awareness in general;however, there are belief differences between Mongolian and Han teachers;there exist discrepancies between English teachers’ beliefs about multilingual awareness and their teaching practice, and social-cultural environment, family language policy,teacher identity, learning experience, teaching materials, and, more importantly, teachers’ lack of awareness of fostering learners’ multilingual awareness lead to the discrepancies. The present research highlights the necessity of raising teacher awareness of cultivating multilingual awareness in future teacher development and emphasizes the significance of exploring the potential cognitive advantages of multilingualism in promoting L3 learning and developing English learners’ multilingual competence in the EFL context in China.展开更多

The main objective was to study the motivational dimensions of Teaching Practice (TP), analyze trainees perception of the strength of their content courses (knowledge base) and pedagogy programme (psychology, teaching methods), and investigate the quality of TP orientation program supervision and assessment by faculty (teacher trainers). A survey was carried out to determine procedures and processes for minimizing anxieties and fears concerning TP and the relationship between faculty and trainees, mentoring and monitoring procedures, the giving of feedback and utilization of the views of students. Questionnaires were used to obtain information on the content courses or subjects which students found difficult, irrelevant or not adequately taught, what faculty should do to make TP experience better and rewarding to make them become professional teachers. Participants in the study found pedagogy courses relevant to their training and quite enjoyable. They also acknowledge that the courses help them to develop learner centered instructional skills and competence in classroom management. On the contrary, participants confessed they were weak in grammar and spoken English because these were not adequately taught, they also limited exposure to reading and writing. Focused group discussion with students revealed that TP Orientation Programs were too crowded and ill-organized to meet their needs and reduce their anxiety. The points of focus of the orientation-dress code, comportment in schools-were not as crucial as some issues-mentoring, relationship between faculty and students-which were left out. Respondents rated TP supervision and assessment very low because of inadequacies in the number of visits, lack of feedback and low level interaction with their trainers. Some of the students used peer interaction, self-development and self-study skills to improve their skills and cope with TP. The results suggest that knowledge base of students in ESL courses need to be strengthened and enriched. Orientation program should be geared towards trainee's needs. Also supervision and assessment require a lot of improvement while faculty should give prompt feedback and utilize trainees' opinions and views for meeting students' needs and improving TP.展开更多

Objective: to explore the application value of expanded teaching method in pediatric clinical teaching practice. Methods: 100 children's department interns received from the hospital from January 2016 to February ...Objective: to explore the application value of expanded teaching method in pediatric clinical teaching practice. Methods: 100 children's department interns received from the hospital from January 2016 to February 2020 were selected as the research object, and they were randomly divided into two groups, with 50 interns in each group. The control group implemented the conventional classroom explanation teaching method for pediatric clinical teaching, and the observation group adopted the exhibition teaching method for learning guidance, and during and after the teaching. The teaching effect, classroom easy memory rate and the improvement rate of clinical processing ability of the two groups were evaluated. Results: teaching results: the effective rate of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group. Easy memory rate of interns in class: the easy memory rate of students in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group. Improvement rate of clinical treatment ability: in clinic, the students in the observation group have stronger ability to deal with emergencies in clinic, and their clinical treatment ability is improved more significantly compared with the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups in three indexes (teaching efficiency, easy memory rate of interns in class and improvement rate of clinical processing ability) (P < 0.05). Conclusion: in the clinical teaching practice of pediatrics, the application of expansion teaching method can effectively improve the teaching efficiency, help interns remember relevant knowledge more quickly, and give more play to its application value in clinical practice teaching.展开更多

The so-called pre-listening stage is to guide students to prepare for listening before they officially start listening training, which can be simply understood as the upgraded version of pre-class preview activities;The listening stage naturally refers to the state in which the students focus on listening in the teaching form designed by the teachers in advance. This stage is mainly to help the students understand the general meaning of the listening materials and thus control the content they hear. As for the post-listening stage, it can be simply understood as more targeted after-class exercises. In this process, teachers need to combine the previous two stages to make corresponding post-listening activity teaching plan to help students better review and consolidate their knowledge.
文摘The present paper is a reflection on a teaching practice which employed second language acquisition(SLA) theories and teaching methodologies. The students taught were second-year non-English majors from X university and the course book used was New Horizon College English: Reading and Writing(3 rd edition). SLA theories involved include Input Hypothesis, Noticing Hypothesis and Comprehensible Output Hypothesis; teaching methodologies applied include Grammar-Translation Method,Communicative Language Teaching and Task Based Language Teaching(TBLT). After a semester-long teaching practice, the present reflection was completed after a deep discussion with the teacher. Students description, teaching process, and merits and demerits of this practice were illustrated.

On this basis, the goal of teaching and educating people in the art discipline has changed from taking art as a skill and a tool to aestheticization and human culture development. Under the background of cultivating the core accomplishment in the discipline, the aesthetic tendency and humanistic care of the core accomplishment have become the important objectives of the art teaching practice. For high school art, combining the cognitive characteristics of high school students with the curriculum progress, the cultivation of core literacy is integrated into the curriculum content. Besides cultivating students' artistic appreciation and painting ability, the relationship between knowledge and skills, sensibility and values is dialectically viewed, and it has become a general trend to cultivate students' art literacy from multiple perspectives. This paper mainly takes the folk lantern teaching as an example to provide some practical experience for the middle school art teaching under the core quality of art.
