Forty-three patients with chronic spinal cord injury for over 6 months were transplanted with bryonic olfactory ensheathing cells, 2-4 × 106, into multiple sites in the injured area under the sur-gical microscope. The sympathetic skin response in patients was measured with an electromyo-graphy/evoked potential instrument 1 day before transplantation and 3-8 weeks after trans-tion. Spinal nerve function of patients was assessed using the American Spinal Injury Association impairment scale. The sympathetic skin response was elicited in 32 cases before olfactory en-sheathing celltransplantation, while it was observed in 34 cases after transplantation. tantly, sympathetic skin response latency decreased significantly and amplitude increased cantly after transplantation. Transplantation of olfactory ensheathing cells also improved American Spinal Injury Association scores for movement, pain and light touch. Our findings indicate that factory ensheathing celltransplantation improves motor, sensory and autonomic nerve functions in patients with chronic spinal cord injury. 展开更多

The normalization condition of the Kraus operators is proved. The matrix representation for these solutions is obtained, which is incongruous with the result in the book completed by Nielsen and Chuang [Quan- tum Computation and Quantum Information, Cambridge University Press, 2000]. As especial cases, we also present the Kraus operator solutions to master equations for describing the amplitude-decay model and the diffusion process at finite temperature. 展开更多

In imaging on moving target, it is easy to get space- variant blurred image. In order to recover the image and gain recognizable target, an approach to recover the space-variant blurred image is presented based on image segmentation. Be- cause of motion blur's convolution process, the pixels of observed image's target and background will be displaced and piled up to produce two superposition regions. As a result, the neighbor- ing pixels in the superposition regions will have similar grey level change. According to the pixel's motion-blur character, the target's blurred edge of superposition region could be detected. Canny operator can be recurred to detect the target edge which parallels the motion blur direction. Then in the segmentation process, the whole target image which has the character of integral convolution between motion blur and real target image can be obtained. At last, the target image is restored by deconvolution algorithms with adding zeros. The restoration result indicates that the approach can effectively solve the kind of problem of space-variant motion blurred image restoration. 展开更多

The extreme summer precipitation over East China during 1982-2007 was simulated using the LASG/IAP regional climate model CREM(the Climate version of a Regional Eta-coordinate Model).The results show that the probability density functions(PDFs) of precipitation intensities are reasonably simulated,except that the PDFs of light and moderate rain are underestimated and that the PDFs of heavy rain are overestimated.The extreme precipitation amount(R95p) and the percent contribution of extreme precipitation to the total precipitation(R95pt) are also reasonably reproduced by the CREM.However,the R95p and R95pt over most of East China are generally overestimated,while the R95p along the coastal area of South China(SC) is underestimated.The bias of R95pt is consistent with the bias of precipitation intensity on wet days(SDII).The interannual variation for R95p anomalies(PC1) is well simulated,but that of R95pt anomalies(PC2) is poorly simulated.The skill of the model in simulating PC1(PC2) increases(decreases) from north to south.The bias of water vapor transport associated with the 95th percentile of summer daily precipitation(WVTr95) explains well the bias of the simulated extreme precipitation. 展开更多

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) are multipotent and self-renewing cells that reside essentially in the bone marrow as a non-hematopoietic cell population, but may also be isolated from the connective tissues of most organs. MSCs represent a heterogeneous population of adult, fibroblast-like cells characterized by their ability to differentiate into tissues of mesodermal lineages including adipocytes, chondrocytes and osteocytes. For several years now, MSCs have been evaluated for their in vivo and in vitro immunomodulatory and &#x02018;tissue reconstruction&#x02019; properties, which could make them interesting in various clinical settings, and particularly in organ transplantation. This paper aims to review current knowledge on the properties of MSCs and their use in pre-clinical and clinical studies in solid organ transplantation, and particularly in the field of liver transplantation. The first available clinical data seem to show that MSCs are safe to use, at least in the medium-term, but more time is needed to evaluate the potential adverse effects of long-term use. Many issues must be resolved on the correct use of MSCs. Intensive in vitro and pre-clinical research are the keys to a better understanding of the way that MSCs act, and to eventually lead to clinical success. 展开更多

We cast vehicle recognition as problem of feature representation and classification, and introduce a sparse learning based framework for vehicle recognition and classification in this paper. After objects captured with a GMM background subtraction program, images are labeled with vehicle type for dictionary learning and decompose the images with sparse coding (SC), a linear SVM trained with the SC feature for vehicle classification. A simple but efficient active learning stategy is adopted by adding the false positive samples into previous training set for dictionary and SVM model retraining. Compared with traditional feature representation and classification realized with SVM, SC method achieves dramatically improvement on classification accuracy and exhibits strong robustness. The work is also validated on real-world surveillance video. 展开更多

A new method for speeding up the state augment operations involved in the compressed extended Kalman filter-based simultaneous localization and mapping (CEKF-SLAM) algorithm was proposed. State augment usually requires a fully-updated state eovariance so as to append the information of newly observed landmarks, thus computational volume increases quadratically with the number of landmarks in the whole map. It was proved that state augment can also be achieved by augmenting just one auxiliary coefficient ma- trix. This method can yield identical estimation results as those using EKF-SLAM algorithm, and computa- tional amount grows only linearly with number of increased landmarks in the local map. The efficiency of this quick state augment for CEKF-SLAM algorithm has been validated by a sophisticated simulation project. 展开更多

The reaction cross section is considered as the only scalar property in this work at four different collision energies. Furthermore the vector properties including two polarization-dependent differential cross sections (PDDCSs), the angular distributions of product' rotational momentum are discussed at one fixed collision energy. Ab initio Calculations of Electron-Impact Excitation Cross Sections for N_2 Molecule

One of the great difficulties in understanding nitrogen plasma elementary processes is the lack of an available database of the cross-sections of electron-impact excitations and radiations. Ab initio calculations of vibrational excitation cross sections for electron collisions with nitrogen molecules in low-lying states using similarity function approach, such as a-a', a-w, B-B' and B-W transition systems, are reported here for the first time. In the meantime, the average excitation energies of neighboring levels of these systems have been calculated. In order to obtain the cross sections, accurate spectroscopic constants and transition dipole moments have been investigated. Potential energy curves and other electronic transition dipole moments for the low-lying states of N2 have been re-evaluated using complete active space self-consistent field (CASSCF) approach with aug-cc-pVqZ basis set. The calculated cross-sections could provide a database for studying the elementary processes and the properties in N2 plasma. 展开更多

Endogenous aspergillus endophthalmitis(EAE) after kidney transplant is a rare but important clinical problem due to potentially devastating consequences. Early diagnosis of EAE, timely removal of affected vitreous by vitrectomy, proper anti-fungal treatment, all contributed to the successful control of the disease. Therapeutic success of EAE in post-transplant patients depends largely on prompt diagnosis. Definite diagnosis of EAE is based on positive culture results of vitreous specimen, while fundoscopy and B scan ultrasound may aid early diagnosis. In terms of anti-fungal medicine, amphotericin B has long been the first choice, but its systemic applicaiton has severe adverse reactions, especially for patients with impaired renal function. Herein, we report the treatment modality of EAE after kidney transplant with vitrectomy, systemic administration of micafungin plus voriconazole, topical application of fluconazol and amphotercin B. 展开更多

Background: Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is the major cause of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Some HBV mutants and dysregulation of phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) may promote the development of HCC synergistically. We aimed to test the effects of PTEN genetic polymorphisms and their interactions with important HBV mutations on the development of HCC in HBV-infected subjects. Methods: Quantitative po[ymerase chain reaction was applied to genotype PTEN polymorphisms (rs1234220, rs2299939, rsl234213) in 1012 healthy controls, 302 natural clearance subjects, and 2011 chronic H BV-infected subjects including 1021 HCC patients. HBV mutations were determined by sequencing. The associations of PTEN polymorphisms and their interactions with HBV mutations with HCC risk were assessed using multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results: Rs1234220 C allele was significantly associated with HCC risk compared to healthy controls (adjusted odds ratio [AOR] = 1.35, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1,07-1.69) and HCC-free HBV-infected subjects (AOR = 1.27, 95% CI = 1.01-1 .57). rsl234220 C allele was significantly associated with increased frequencies of HCC-risk A 1652G, C 1673T, and C 1730G mutations in genotype B H BV-in fected subjects. Rs2299939 GT genotype was inversely associated with HCC risk in HBV-infected patients (AOR 0.75, 95% CI 0.62-0.92). The interaction of rs2299939 variant genotypes (GT+TT) with A3054T mutation significantly increased HCC risk (AOR = 2.41, 95% CI = 1.08-5.35); whereas its interaction with C3116T mutation significantly reduced HCC risk (AOR = 0.34, 95% CI 0.18-0.66). These significant effects were only evident in males alter stratification. Conclusions: PTEN polymorphisms and their interactions with HBV mutations may contribute to hepatocarcinogenesis in males. The host-virus interactions are important in identifying HBV-infected subjects who are more likely to develop HCC. 展开更多

For mid-latitude cities, higher summer temperatures due to climate change are a cause for concern because they aggravate the urban heat island phenomenon and reduce thermal comfort inside buildings. By acquiring the appropriate knowledge and skills, architects and urban designers can become key actors in adaptation to climate change. Two workshops bringing together architects and urban designers provided evidence of deficiencies in this area. We hypothesize that a design support tool (DST) focused on the issue of adaptation of mid- latitude cities to rising summer temperatures could help improve knowledge and skills of professionals in the field. The first section presents the results taken from a review and classification of DSTs, which highlight the toots' features that are LikeLy to reach this goal Toots of the "hybrid" category seem most appropriate. To verify this, seven DSTs were selected and tested by fourteen students enrolled in a graduate-level architecture design studio. The second section presents the results from this test, including an analysis of the final projects, a web- based questionnaire and two focus groups. The relevance of hybrid approaches is established, but the results bring into question the capacity of a single DST to meet the individual and multiple needs of professionals. 展开更多

On day 3 of gestation, one uterine horn of fe-male pregnant mouse was injected intraluminally with 5 mL 0.1 mg/mL lactacystin, a specific inhibitor of ubiquitin-pro- teasome pathway (UPP), while the contralateral horn served as control. Animals were sacrificed by cervical dislocation on day 5, 6, 7 of gestation, respectively. Then the number of implanted embryos in each uterine horn was calculated, and the expression of VEGF and its receptors was examined. The data showed that the number of implanted embryos was decreased significantly after treatment with lactacystin. The results of RT-PCR and Western blot indicated that expres-sion of VEGF and its receptors at mRNA and protein levels was significantly decreased in the treated uterus, meanwhile, the expression of HIF-1a (the a subunit of HIF, a transcrip-tional factor of VEGF) was reduced at both mRNA and pro-tein levels. These data suggested that the effect of UPP on VEGF expression was realized through regulating HIF-1a expression. In addition, UPP is likely to take part in the modulation of VEGF receptors expression. These changes may be one of the reasons for the reduction of implanted embryos. 展开更多

目的探讨基于精准护理的梯度管理在血管性痴呆患者认知康复训练中的应用效果。方法选取2023年9月至2024年5月无锡市人民医院神经内科收治的脑卒中后血管性痴呆患者,采用简易精神状态量表(MMSE)筛查出符合入组要求的60例为研究对象。其中... 目的探讨基于精准护理的梯度管理在血管性痴呆患者认知康复训练中的应用效果。方法选取2023年9月至2024年5月无锡市人民医院神经内科收治的脑卒中后血管性痴呆患者,采用简易精神状态量表(MMSE)筛查出符合入组要求的60例为研究对象。其中2023年9月至12月收治的30例为对照组,在优质护理基础上实施精准认知康复护理。2024年1月至5月收治的30例为干预组,在系统治疗基础上实施基于精准护理的梯度管理。比较两组患者干预前后康复训练的依从性、MMSE评分、心理期望值及卒中后抑郁等情况。结果观察组患者在干预6个月时的康复依从性高于对照组,计算力和注意力评分方面高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。观察组患者干预后6个月的希望水平评分高于对照组,卒中后抑郁评分低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论基于精准护理的梯度管理能够提高血管性痴呆患者认知康复训练的依从性,促进患者计算力和注意力的恢复,提高希望水平,减轻卒中后抑郁情绪。 展开更多

目的观察注射用鼠神经生长因子治疗孤独症谱系障碍(ASD)儿童的临床疗效。方法选取符合纳入标准的ASD儿童50例作为研究对象,按照随机数字表法分为观察组和对照组,每组25例。观察组采取注射用鼠神经生长因子治疗,18μg/次,与2 mL注射用生... 目的观察注射用鼠神经生长因子治疗孤独症谱系障碍(ASD)儿童的临床疗效。方法选取符合纳入标准的ASD儿童50例作为研究对象,按照随机数字表法分为观察组和对照组,每组25例。观察组采取注射用鼠神经生长因子治疗,18μg/次,与2 mL注射用生理盐水混合后,肌内注射,1次/d,1个疗程为10次,2疗程间停药5 d,共3个疗程。对照组用计算机智能康复训练系统进行康复训练,每周5次,连续6周。分别在治疗前及治疗后4、12周利用孤独症行为量表(Autism Behavior Checklist,ABC)、儿童孤独症评定量表(Childhood Autism Rating Scale,CARS)评估患儿情况。结果干预后观察组患儿评分远高于对照组[ABC(t=-7.356,P<0.0001)、CARS(t=-2.555,P=0.014),4周ABC(t=-8.383,P<0.0001)、CARS(t=-2.336,P=0.009),12周ABC(t=-9.337,P<0.0001)、CARS(t=-2.366,P=0.022)],差异均有统计学意义;组内比较,干预后各时间节点评分均明显优于治疗前(P<0.05)。结论注射用鼠神经生长因子治疗ASD儿童具有较好的即时及迁移疗效,能够改善ASD患儿情况,值得临床推广应用。 展开更多

目的了解老年良性前列腺增生手术患者感知医患沟通质量现状及影响因素,为制订针对性的医患沟通干预策略提供参考。方法以便利抽样法选取老年良性前列腺增生手术患者208例,采用一般资料调查表、蒙特利尔认知评估量表、应对适应量表、FRAI... 目的了解老年良性前列腺增生手术患者感知医患沟通质量现状及影响因素,为制订针对性的医患沟通干预策略提供参考。方法以便利抽样法选取老年良性前列腺增生手术患者208例,采用一般资料调查表、蒙特利尔认知评估量表、应对适应量表、FRAIL疲乏量表、医院焦虑抑郁量表于术前1~2 d进行调查;采用自行研制的医患沟通质量问卷于患者出院后2~4周进行电话随访。结果48.08%的老年良性前列腺增生手术患者报告医患沟通质量偏低。logistic回归分析显示,应对适应水平、认知功能、ASA分级和居住地是该类患者感知医患沟通质量的影响因素(均P<0.05)。结论感知医患沟通质量低的老年良性前列腺增生手术患者占比较多,医护人员可根据老年患者不同的认知功能、应对适应水平等制订针对性的干预策略,以提高老年患者感知医患沟通质量。 展开更多
