Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of Qinglong Bai Wei Zhen Fa (Green Dragon Shaking Tail Needling) in the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis. Methods: A total of 231 cases of scapulohumeral periarthritis patients were randomized into treatment group (n=123) and control group (n=108). In treatment and control groups, Jianyu (LI 15), Jianqian and Jianhou were used as the main acupoints and stimulated with Green Dragon Shaking Tail Needling and conventional needling separately. Additionally, in control group, Waiguan (TE 5) and Binao (LI 14) were supplemented. The treatment was given once daily, with 10 days being a therapeutic course, 2 courses altogether. Results: After the first course of treatment, in treatment and control groups, the cured, the markedly improved, the effective and ineffective cases were 49 and 12, 61 and 33, 11 and 40, 2 and 23, with the total effective rates being 98.4% and 78.7% respectively. There was a marked difference between two groups in the therapeutic effect (P<0.05). Following 2 courses of treatment, the cured, the markedly improved, the effective and ineffective cases were 66 and 21, 47 and 41, 10 and 39, 0 and 7, with the total effective rates being 100% and 93.5% separately. No significant difference between two groups in the total effective rates, but the cure rate of treatment group was strikingly higher than that of control group. Conclusion: Green Dragon Shaking Tail Needling is significantly superior to that of conventional needling in the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis. 展开更多

The effect of the valence band tail width on the open circuit voltage of P3HT:PCBM bulk heterojunction solar cell is investigated by using the AMPS-1D computer program. An effective medium model with exponential valence and conduction band tail states is used to simulate the photovoltaic cell. The simulation result shows that the open circuit voltage depends Iinearly on the logarithm of the generation rate and the slope depends on the width of the valence band tail. The open circuit voltage decreases with the increasing width of the band tail. The dark and light ideality factors increase with the width of the valence band tail. 展开更多

Tailings impoundments can potentially collapse due to damage caused by earthquakes,which has frequently occurred around the world.This study takes the proposed valley type tailings impoundment in Yunnan as the research object to analyze the dynamic response behavior under earthquake action with both numerical simulation and physical model test(1:300).The results of both tests show that the dynamic response of the valley type tailings impoundment is characterized by"medium stiffness effect",in other words,in a certain range,the"softer"the unsaturated tailings sand is,the more energy it can dissipate,which leads the decrease of the value of the acceleration amplification factor.In addition,the peak acceleration of the monitoring points increases with the vertical elevation,which indicates that the"elevation amplification effect"exists in the tailings impoundment dynamic response.The middle part of the outer side of the raised embankment reacts more sensitive than the crest,which is similar to the slope dynamic response.The starter dam reacts sensitively under the earthquake excitation,which should be given more attention during the seismic design.The dynamic response rules reflected by the numerical simulation are consistent with the results monitored on the physical model test,although there are some differences between their values.The dynamic response rules of the valley type tailings impoundment can provide basis for the design of the similar projects in this region. 展开更多

The“tailing”effect caused by residual non-aqueous phase liquids(NAPLs)in porous aquifers is one of the frontiers in pollution hydrogeology research.Based on the current knowledge that the residual NAPLs is mainly controlled by the pore structure of soil,this study established a method for evaluating the residual saturation of NAPLs by investigating the fractal dimension of porous media.In this study,the soil column experiments of residual light NAPLs(LNAPLs)in sandy aquifer with different ratios of sands and soil were carried out,and the correlation between the fractal dimension of the medium,the residual of LNAPLs and the soil structure parameters are statistically analyzed,and its formation mechanism and main control factors are discussed.The results show that:Under our experimental condition:(1)the fractal dimension of the medium has a positive correlation with the residual saturation of NAPLs generally,and the optimal fitting function can be described by a quadratic model:S_(R)=192.02 D2-890.73 D+1040.8;(2)the dominant formation mechanism is:Smaller pores in the medium is related to larger fractal dimension,which leads to higher residual saturation of NAPLs;stronger heterogeneity of the medium is related to larger fractal dimension,which also leads to higher residual saturation of NAPLs;(3)the micro capillary pores characterized by fine sand are the main controlling factors of the formation mechanism.It is concluded that both the theory and the method of using fractal dimension of the medium to evaluate the residual saturation of NAPLs are feasible.This study provides a new perspective for the research of“tailing”effect of NAPLs in porous media aquifer. 展开更多

Pasta has been one of the beloved foods for many years,and recently,attempts have been made in the industry to utilize 3D printing to create various designs of pasta noodles.This study investigated the effect of freeze-dried spinach powder on the quality of pasta dough used for 3D printing while focusing on improving the quality of 3D printing and post-processing characteristics and also the sauce adhesion capacity of pasta dough under various traditional Korean lattice infill patterns.Common durum wheat flour was substituted with 0,4,8,12 and 16 g/54 g freeze-dried spinach powder.As wheat flour was progressively substituted with spinach powder,the rheological behavior of the dough ink changed from a long paste to a short paste.Pasta dough containing 12%spinach powder exhibited good resolution in the printing test while maintaining a stable network structure due to appropriate starch gelatinization with spinach granules after drying and cooking,ultimately resulting in a high-quality product.However,exceeding a certain threshold(16%spinach content)leads to adverse effects.Wanjasal,Guigapsal,and Ttisal muntin units were used as patterns for spinach-containing pasta,and increased sauce viscosity correlated with a greater retention of sauce within pattern holes.By successfully enhancing the nutritional value and printing resolution of durum wheat pasta using spinach powder,this study provides quantitative guidelines for the development of 3D printable pasta. 展开更多

The beam tail effect of multi-bunches will influence the electron beam performance in a high intensity thermionic RF gun. Beam dynamic calculations that illustrate the working states of single beam tail and multi-pulse feed-in of a performance-enhanced EC-ITC (external cathode independent tunable cavity) RF gun for an FEL (free electron laser) injector are performed to estimate the extracted bunch properties. By using both Parmela and homemade MATLAB codes, the effects of a single beam tail as well as interactions of multi-pulses are analyzed, where a ring-based electron algorithm is adopted to calculated RF fields and the space-charge field. Furthermore, the procedure of unexpected deviated-energy particles mixed with an effective bunch head is described by the MATLAB code as well. As a result, the performance-enhanced EC-ITC RF gun is proved to have the capability to extract continual stable bunches suitable for a high requirement THz-FEL. 展开更多

Vortex ring state as a cause of a single-rotor helicopter unanticipated yaw

Single-rotor helicopters under certain conditions can enter the unanticipated yaw rotation,which often leads to the aviation accident.However,the causes of this flight mode have not been definitely determined yet.Typically,the main researcher’s proposal is that unanticipated yaw occurs,because helicopter tail rotor enters the vortex ring state.Authors of this paper decided to study the vortex ring state from the point of propeller thrust variation while being airflow blown.Experiments were carried out with a propeller in a wind tunnel,in which they varied the airflow velocity and angle between propeller axis of rotation and airflow velocity vector to imitate tail rotor side-blowing,while varying helicopter sideslip angle.Experiments results showed that at the vortex ring state there was a tail rotor thrust drop but it was not significant and thrust restored when the angle between propeller axis of rotation and airflow velocity vector exceeded 40°.But when propeller was axial blown in the direction against propeller thrust vector with airflow velocity 10 m/s the propeller thrust dropped by 80%relative to the thrust without blowing,which may lead to the occurrence of unanticipated yaw rotation.This suggests that helicopter wind blowing against tail rotor thrust vector is more dangerous than blowing in the opposite direction which leads to the vortex ring state. 展开更多
