As the power system transitions to a new green and low-carbon paradigm,the penetration of renewable energy in China’s power system is gradually increasing.However,the variability and uncertainty of renewable energy output limit its profitability in the electricity market and hinder its market-based integration.This paper first constructs a wind-solar-thermalmulti-energy complementary system,analyzes its external game relationships,and develops a bi-level market optimization model.Then,it considers the contribution levels of internal participants to establish a comprehensive internal distribution evaluation index system.Finally,simulation studies using the IEEE 30-bus system demonstrate that the multi-energy complementary system stabilizes nodal outputs,enhances the profitability of market participants,and promotes the market-based integration of renewable energy. 展开更多

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)represents a paradigmatic approach to personalized medicine,developed through the systematic accumulation and refinement of clinical empirical data over more than 2000 years,and now encompasses large-scale electronic medical records(EMR)and experimental molecular data.Artificial intelligence(AI)has demonstrated its utility in medicine through the development of various expert systems(e.g.,MYCIN)since the 1970s.With the emergence of deep learning and large language models(LLMs),AI’s potential in medicine shows considerable promise.Consequently,the integration of AI and TCM from both clinical and scientific perspectives presents a fundamental and promising research direction.This survey provides an insightful overview of TCM AI research,summarizing related research tasks from three perspectives:systems-level biological mechanism elucidation,real-world clinical evidence inference,and personalized clinical decision support.The review highlights representative AI methodologies alongside their applications in both TCM scientific inquiry and clinical practice.To critically assess the current state of the field,this work identifies major challenges and opportunities that constrain the development of robust research capabilities—particularly in the mechanistic understanding of TCM syndromes and herbal formulations,novel drug discovery,and the delivery of high-quality,patient-centered clinical care.The findings underscore that future advancements in AI-driven TCM research will rely on the development of high-quality,large-scale data repositories;the construction of comprehensive and domain-specific knowledge graphs(KGs);deeper insights into the biological mechanisms underpinning clinical efficacy;rigorous causal inference frameworks;and intelligent,personalized decision support systems. 展开更多

In this paper,a new technique is introduced to construct higher-order iterative methods for solving nonlinear systems.The order of convergence of some iterative methods can be improved by three at the cost of introducing only one additional evaluation of the function in each step.Furthermore,some new efficient methods with a higher-order of convergence are obtained by using only a single matrix inversion in each iteration.Analyses of convergence properties and computational efficiency of these new methods are made and testified by several numerical problems.By comparison,the new schemes are more efficient than the corresponding existing ones,particularly for large problem sizes. 展开更多

This research paper tackles the complexities of achieving global fuzzy consensus in leader-follower systems in robotic systems,focusing on robust control systems against an advanced signal attack that integrates sensor and actuator disturbances within the dynamics of follower robots.Each follower robot has unknown dynamics and control inputs,which expose it to the risks of both sensor and actuator attacks.The leader robot,described by a secondorder,time-varying nonlinear model,transmits its position,velocity,and acceleration information to follower robots through a wireless connection.To handle the complex setup and communication among robots in the network,we design a robust hybrid distributed adaptive control strategy combining the effect of sensor and actuator attack,which ensures asymptotic consensus,extending beyond conventional bounded consensus results.The proposed framework employs fuzzy logic systems(FLSs)as proactive controllers to estimate unknown nonlinear behaviors,while also effectively managing sensor and actuator attacks,ensuring stable consensus among all agents.To counter the impact of the combined signal attack on follower dynamics,a specialized robust control mechanism is designed,sustaining system stability and performance under adversarial conditions.The efficiency of this control strategy is demonstrated through simulations conducted across two different directed communication topologies,underscoring the protocol’s adaptability,resilience,and effectiveness in maintaining global consensus under complex attack scenarios. 展开更多

In this study,the design and development of a sensor made of low-cost parts to monitor inclination and acceleration are presented.Αmicro electro-mechanical systems,micro electro mechanical systems,sensor was housed in a robust enclosure and interfaced with a Raspberry Pi microcomputer with Internet connectivity into a proposed tilt and acceleration monitoring node.Online capabilities accessible by mobile phone such as real-time graph,early warning notification,and database logging were implemented using Python programming.The sensor response was calibrated for inherent bias and errors,and then tested thoroughly in the laboratory under static and dynamic loading conditions beside high-quality transducers.Satisfactory accuracy was achieved in real time using the Complementary Filter method,and it was further improved in LabVIEW using Kalman Filters with parameter tuning.A sensor interface with LabVIEW and a 600 MHz CPU microcontroller allowed real-time implementation of highspeed embedded filters,further optimizing sensor results.Kalman and embedded filtering results show agreement for the sensor,followed closely by the lowcomplexity complementary filter applied in real time.The sensor's dynamic response was also verified by shaking table tests,simulating past recorded seismic excitations or artificial vibrations,indicating negligible effect of external acceleration on measured tilt;sensor measurements were benchmarked using highquality tilt and acceleration measuring transducers.A preliminary field evaluation shows robustness of the sensor to harsh weather conditions. 展开更多

Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP)systems play a pivotal role in modern organizations by integrating business processes,enhancing operational efficiency,and supporting decision-making.Evaluating the success of ERP implementations remains a critical challenge for both researchers and practitioners.The DeLone&McLean(D&M)Information Systems(IS)Success Model has been widely adopted as a theoretical framework to assess ERP success,yet its application in dynamic and evolving technological landscapes requires further examination.This systematic review synthesizes empirical studies from 2017 to 2024 that apply the D&M Model to evaluate ERP system success.The study aims to:(1)identify key trends in the application of the D&M Model across different organizational and technological contexts,(2)analyze the most influential success factors-system quality,information quality,service quality,user satisfaction,use,and net benefits-and their interrelationships,and(3)highlight emerging challenges and opportunities for refining the model in ERP research.Findings reveal that while the D&M Model provides a robust foundation for assessing ERP success,contextual factors such as organizational climate,leadership support,and mandatory vs.voluntary usage significantly influence outcomes.Additionally,advancements in digital transformation,AI,and cloud-based ERP systems introduce new dimensions that the traditional model may not fully capture.The review also identifies gaps in longitudinal studies and cross-cultural validations of the D&M Model in ERP settings.Based on the analysis,this paper proposes an enhanced framework that integrates dynamic moderators and post-implementation metrics to better align the D&M Model with contemporary ERP environments.The study contributes to IS literature by offering a comprehensive evaluation of the D&M Model’s applicability and limitations in ERP research,while providing actionable insights for organizations seeking to optimize ERP success. 展开更多

With the continuous advancement of artificial intelligence(AI)technology,personalized learning systems are increasingly applied in higher education.Particularly within STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering,and Mathematics)education,AI demonstrates significant advantages through adaptive learning pathways,instant feedback,and individualized resource allocation.However,current research predominantly focuses on the technical architecture and application effectiveness of such systems,with insufficient exploration of how AI-enabled personalized learning systems influence university students’learning motivation and academic achievement through educational psychological mechanisms.This paper adopts an educational psychology perspective to construct a causal mechanism model linking“learning motivation-learning behavior-academic achievement.”Findings indicate that AI-powered personalized learning systems enhance learning autonomy,boost self-efficacy,and optimize feedback mechanisms.These effects collectively stimulate university students’learning motivation in STEM disciplines,thereby promoting academic achievement.Building upon empirical research,this paper proposes implications for educational practice and policy formulation,emphasizing the necessity of advancing higher education reform through the dual influence of technology and psychological mechanisms. 展开更多

Analysis of Two Irrigation Water Pumping Systems on the Taddis Valley Site: Solar Kit and Motor Pump Unit (GMP) in Tahoua (Niger)

Small-scale pumping irrigation is one of the most interesting uses of solar energy. The objective of this study is to carry out a comparative analysis of two dewatering pumping systems (Solar Kit and GMP) for water mobilization on a certain number of criteria such as sustainable use, economic aspect and performance. To achieve this, the adapted methodology consisted first of all in the development of a data collection tool in the field. Then flow measurements, estimation of fuel consumption, pressure height, etc., were carried out. Thus, the data collection involved a sample of 120 irrigators who had to use the two (2) types of pumping systems. The collected data were analyzed and processed with appropriate software. The results of the study show that the two pumping systems studied have strengths and constraints. Thus, the solar pumping system has a significant investment cost, very low maintenance and a low operating cost. On the other hand, the system with a generator has a relatively low investment cost (25 to 30 times less than solar), but a relatively high operating, upkeep and maintenance cost. He adds that these assets and constraints must be taken into consideration when an investment is made. This study shows that 74% of producers use GMP compared to 26% who use the Solar Kit. But in practice, the Solar Kit is more reliable for producers from the point of view of planted area, environmental management and investment costs, supply of fuel and lubricant. These results indicate better performance of the solar pumping system compared to GMP at the study sites. 展开更多

Effectiveness of various chemical leaching systems in the remediation of chromium-contaminated soil and their impact on chromium speciation

Chemical leaching techniques have been proven effective in removing heavymetal contaminants fromsoil using various leaching agents.Previous research has shown that both singleagent and composite leaching systems have been applied for the remediation of chromiumcontaminated soils,with varying degrees of success depending on soil type and contaminant form.However,the removal rate of total chromium(Cr)and hexavalent chromium(Cr(Ⅵ))often fluctuates based on the chemical composition of the leaching agents,as well as the soil’s physicochemical properties,such as pH and Cr speciation stability.Therefore,this study investigates the effectiveness of 20 composite leaching systems,including deionized water,lime water,calcium chloride,sodium carbonate,and sodium phosphate,through soil column leaching tests.The aim was to evaluate their impact on soil pH,total Cr,and Cr(Ⅵ)removal,and to examine the transformation of various Cr species during the leaching process.Results reveal that lime water and sodium phosphate were particularly effective in stabilizing Cr(Ⅵ)and neutralizing soil pH,while total Cr removal amount ranged from 197.4 mg/kg to 1671.6 mg/kg and Cr(Ⅵ)removal amount ranged from 113.2mg/kg to 316.8mg/kg.We also find that using 0.2 mol/L citric acid,0.1 mol/L hydrochloric acid,and 1.2 mL/g lime solution adjusted soil pH to 7.37,with average removal efficiencies of 34.6%.for total Cr and 72.7%for Cr(Ⅵ).Overall,our results suggest that the combined use of lime water and sodium phosphate is an effective strategy for remediating chromium-contaminated soil,particularly for stabilizing unleached Cr and adjusting soil pH. 展开更多

Objectives:Recently,the global esports industry has experienced remarkable growth,leading to an expansion in the scale and influence of professional player communities.However,despite this outward growth,systems to protect players’mental health remain inadequate.Comprehensive analysis of structural risk factors,including performance pressure,public evaluation,and career instability,remains insufficient.This study,aimed to explore stressors encountered by esports athletes,coping strategies,and the role of social support systems in safeguarding mental health.Using the transactional model of stress and coping,the job demands–resources model,and social support theory,the study adopts an integrated perspective to examine challenges faced by athletes in the competitive esports environment.Methods:A qualitative case study was conducted involving in-depth interviews and nonparticipant observations with 11 esports athletes who competed at national or international levels,as well as two team managers.Thematic analysis identified recurring patterns in the data,and credibility was ensured through triangulation and cross-review among researchers.Results:Esports athletes experience multiple interacting stressors,including performance demands,emotional strain duringmatches,and continuous evaluation on socialmedia.In response,they employed coping strategies—problem-focused,emotion-focused,and avoidance-based,which provided temporary relief but often led to burnout and self-regulation failure owing to absence of support systems.Social support networks had ambivalent effects:while offering comfort,they also intensified pressure through negative feedback and high expectations from fans and online communities.Conclusion:The findings show that mental health issues among esports athletes are not only related to individual factors but are closely linked to performance-driven structures,competitive environments,and social relationships.This study integrates the transactional model of stress and coping,the JobDemands–Resourcesmodel,and social support theoryto provide comprehensive analysis.It also offers practical recommendations,including psychological counseling,emotional labor programs,and improved communication with families and fan communities. 展开更多

With the development of integrated power and gas distribution systems(IPGS)incorporating renewable energy sources(RESs),coordinating the restoration processes of the power distribution system(PS)and the gas distribution system(GS)by utilizing the benefits of RESs enhances service restoration.In this context,this paper proposes a coordinated service restoration framework that considers the uncertainty in RESs and the bi-directional restoration interactions between the PS and GS.Additionally,a coordinated service restoration model is developed considering the two systems’interdependency and the GS’s dynamic characteristics.The objective is to maximize the system resilience index while adhering to operational,dynamic,restoration logic,and interdependency constraints.A method for managing uncertainties in RES output is employed,and convexification techniques are applied to address the nonlinear constraints arising from the physical laws of the IPGS,thereby reducing solution complexity.As a result,the service restoration optimization problem of the IPGS can be formulated as a computationally tractable mixed-integer second-order cone programming problem.The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed framework are demonstrated through numerical simulations conducted on the interdependent IEEE 13-bus PS and 9-node GS.The comparative results show that the proposed framework improves the system resilience index by at least 65.07%compared to traditional methods. 展开更多

This paper proposes a non-intrusive computational method for mechanical dynamic systems involving a large-scale of interval uncertain parameters,aiming to reduce the computational costs and improve accuracy in determining bounds of system response.The screening method is firstly used to reduce the scale of active uncertain parameters.The sequential high-order polynomials surrogate models are then used to approximate the dynamic system’s response at each time step.To reduce the sampling cost of constructing surrogate model,the interaction effect among uncertain parameters is gradually added to the surrogate model by sequentially incorporating samples from a candidate set,which is composed of vertices and inner grid points.Finally,the points that may produce the bounds of the system response at each time step are searched using the surrogate models.The optimization algorithm is used to locate extreme points,which contribute to determining the inner points producing system response bounds.Additionally,all vertices are also checked using the surrogate models.A vehicle nonlinear dynamic model with 72 uncertain parameters is presented to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed uncertain computational method. 展开更多

This study aims to examine the challenges and future directions of large-scale wooden construction education at universities in Japan and Finland.It compares the wooden construction curricula at universities and the architectural education initiatives undertaken by firms specializing in large-scale wood construction design in both countries.The target applications for large-scale wooden construction are residential,commercial,and public buildings.Comparing university education revealed many commonalities between the two countries,allowing them to be classified into two types:“seminar-centered”and“lecture-centered”.Japanese universities are categorized by building type and scale for educational purposes.Finnish universities focus their education on the properties and functions of wood.Based on these results,we infer that incorporating both Japan’s architecture-planning-focused education and Finland’s materials-focused education into teaching,using familiar housing buildings as a theme,will lead to the wider adoption of large-scale wooden construction. 展开更多

LOKIBASE is a non-linear isolator/dissipator device to protect pallet racking systems against the earthquake.LOKIBASE consists of the following main components:(1)two slider devices on which a rubber membrane is set up(LOKI devices).LOKI devices are linear displacement dependent ones;(2)a cylindrical beam damper(“CANDLE”device).The“CANDLE”device is a non-linear displacement dependent one;(3)two anti-lifting devices(“UP-LIFT”devices);(4)a fuse plug(see www.lokibasedevice.com).The main work which is the purpose of the paper,is the optimization of the behavior of an isolator/dissipator device to mitigate the seismic action on special structures,where the stiffness values are very different in the main cross-aisle and down-aisle directions.Under seismic action,in these structures it is very important to reduce the value of the forces at the Limit state for the safeguard of human life(SLV)in the down-aisle direction as much as possible and simultaneously to use the highest damping value allowed by the building rules to reduce the LOKIBASE displacement at the Limit state for collapse prevention(SLC)in the cross-aisle direction.The goal was achieved through a cylindrical device made of stainless steel(AISI304)with an optimized shape,under large displacement during seismic action. 展开更多

Urbanization’s impact on pre-monsoon extreme rainfall in the Greater Bay Area(GBA),coastal South China(SC),and its relation to different synoptic systems remains understudied.This research investigates urbanization effects on premonsoon rainfall using hourly station observations and Weather Research and Forecasting model with the Single Layer Urban Canopy Model(WRF-SLUCM)simulations.Observations show stronger pre-monsoon extreme rainfall in GBA cities than surrounding rural areas,with the urban heat island(UHI)intensifying the urban rainfall intensity and probability.Extreme cases were classified into frontal and shear-line warm-sector types.Enhanced urban rainfall due to UHI was more pronounced under shear-line and warm-sector systems.Four frontal and four shear-line cases were dynamically downscaled using WRF-SLUCM,and four parallel experiments were conducted:“Nourban”(urban areas replaced by cropland),“AH0”,“AH100”,and“AH300”[normal land use,with the diurnal maximum anthropogenic heat(AH)set to 0,100,and 300 W m^(−2)in SLUCM,respectively].In frontal cases,significantly reduced urban rainfall in AH0 is due to decreased(enhanced)surface evaporation(wind divergence)in cities compared to cropland.Strong northerly winds and cold-air intrusion suppress the UHI in AH0 and AH100 during the rainfall process;enhanced urban rainfall occurs only in AH300.In contrast,for shear-line cases,urban friction and UHI promote local convection and wind convergence,increasing urban rainfall significantly in all urban experiments compared to Nourban.Overall,urbanization’s influence on SC’s premonsoon extreme rainfall is highly sensitive to the type of synoptic systems,necessitating further investigation of urban rainfall in this season. 展开更多

The present review critically examines the role of neglected and underutilized crops(NUCs)in enhancing the resilience of South Asian cropping systems and diets in the context of climate change and nutritional challenges.This analysis reveals that integrating NUCs,such as millets,sorghums,amaranth,and indigenous legumes,into existing cropping systems can significantly improve the climate resilience,dietary diversity,and ecological sustainability of the food systems.These crops exhibit superior tolerance to abiotic stress and offer higher nutritional density compared to staple cereals,such as rice and wheat.However,their adoption faces challenges,including limited research investment,fragmented value chains,etc.We further identify that complementary cropping strategies and climate-smart agriculture(CSA)practices can optimize resource use while boosting smallholder farmers’income.NUCs are pivotal for the transformation of exist cropping systems towards nutrition-sensitive and climate-resilient agricultural and food systems.Strategic integration of NUCs can simultaneously address food insecurity,biodiversity loss,and rural poverty.Yet,unlocking their potential requires coordinated efforts in genetic improvement,market development,and policy frameworks tailored to regional contexts.This synthesis provides a comprehensive roadmap for policy-makers,researchers,and farmers to leverage NUCs as“Future Smart Food”.By bridging agronomic,nutritional,and socioeconomic perspectives,this study highlights the transformative potential of NUCs in achieving Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)across South Asian countries. 展开更多
