The flux-modulated compound-structure permanent magnet synchronous machine (CS-PMSM), composed of a brushless double rotor machine (DRM) and a conventional permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM), is a power split device for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. In this paper, its operating principle and mathematical model are introduced. A modified current controller with decoupled state feedback is proposed and verified. The system control strategy is simulated in Matlab, and the feasibility of the control system is proven. To improve fuel economy, an energy management strategy based on fuzzy logic controller is proposed and evaluated by the Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule (UDDS) drive cycle. The results show that the total energy consumption is similar to that of Prius 2012. 展开更多

Since the caisson foundation is quite close to nearby buildings, a system control model is established with source (sink) distribution and intensity being the object function, minimum requirements of settlement and deformation of surroundings caused by dewatering and dynamic water levels during different working procedures being constraints, and the design parameter of pumping wells being the variable,so as to lower the jeopardizing of surrounding buildings, which provides a new method for active control over settlement during dewatering. In this paper, a chaos system and proportional differential control are both used to detect the frequency of an unknown signal. In traditional methods the useful signal is obtained through the Duffing equation or other chaotic oscillators. But these methods are too complex because of using a lot of chaos oscillators. In this paper a new method is presented that uses the Rossler equation and proportional differential control to detect a weak signal frequency. Substituting the detected signal frequency into the RSssler equation leads the Rossler phase state to be considerably changed. The chaos state can be controlled through the proportional differential method. Through its phase diagram and spectrum analysis, the unknown frequency is obtained. The simulation results verify that the presented method is feasible and that the detection accuracy is higher than those of other methods. 展开更多

The Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) is the optimum operating point of a photovoltaic module. It plays a very important role to obtain the maximum power of a solar panel as it allows an optimal use of a photovoltaic system, regardless of irradiation and temperature variations. In this research, we present a novel technique to improve the control’s performances optimization of the system consisting of a photovoltaic panel, a buck converter and a load. Simulations of different parts of the system are developed under Matlab/Simulink, thus allowing a comparison between the performances of the three studied controllers: “Fuzzy TS”, “P&O” and “PSO”. The three algorithms of MPPT associated with these techniques are tested in different meteorological conditions. The obtained results, in different operating conditions, reveal a clear improvement of controlling performances of MPPT of a photovoltaic system when the PSO tracking technique is used. 展开更多

The design and realization of a videoconference system based on international recommendation are introduced in this paper, and the hardware implementation of video codec based on ITU-T H. 261 is briefly discussed. Furthermore, the buffer control method and the adaptive control strategy for quantization are proposed, which are adaptive and robust. This system can be operated under the transmission rate ranging from 128kb/s to 2Mb/s. With these strategies for the videoconference system, the high quality image is obtained. Based on systemic research on Fructus Trichosanthis which is common traditional Chinese medicine more than30 years,the concept of establishing process control system of Fructus Trichosanthis quality is proposed firstly in this paper. The research aims to find quality problems from 10 processes and links( plant variety,cultivation and propagation,field pest control,fruiting and maturity degree of fruit,storage,regulator,chemical ingredient,quality standard,limited index and circulation),and form feasible techniques and measures solving problems in each process and link,thereby systemically guaranteeing the quality of Fructus Trichosanthis medicinal material and decoction pieces. It guarantees and improves clinical efficacy of Fructus Trichosanthis in Chinese medicine,and could provide reference for establishing process control system of quality of other traditional Chinese medicines. 展开更多

It’s possible for malicious operators to seize hold of electrical control systems, for instance, the engine control unit of driverless vehicles, from various vectors, e.g. autonomic control system, remote vehicle access, or human drivers. To mitigate potential risks, this paper provides the inauguration study by proposing a theoretical framework in the physical, human and cyber triad. Its goal is to, at each time point, detect adversary control behaviors and protect control systems against malicious operations via integrating a variety of methods. This paper only proposes a theoretical framework which tries to indicate possible threats. With the support of the framework, the security system can lightly reduce the risk. The integration of artificial intelligence into the development and production of mechatronic products offers a substantial opportunity to enhance efficiency, adaptability, and system performance. This paper examines the utilization of reinforcement learning as a control strategy, with a particular focus on its deployment in pivotal stages of the product development lifecycle, specifically between system architecture and system integration and verification. A controller based on reinforcement learning was developed and evaluated in comparison to traditional proportional-integral controllers in dynamic and fault-prone environments. The results illustrate the superior adaptability, stability, and optimization potential of the reinforcement learning approach, particularly in addressing dynamic disturbances and ensuring robust performance. The study illustrates how reinforcement learning can facilitate the transition from conceptual design to implementation by automating optimization processes, enabling interface automation, and enhancing system-level testing. Based on the aforementioned findings, this paper presents future directions for research, which include the integration of domain-specific knowledge into the reinforcement learning process and the validation of this process in real-world environments. The results underscore the potential of artificial intelligence-driven methodologies to revolutionize the design and deployment of intelligent mechatronic systems. 展开更多

Cells represent the basic units of life and contain an intertwined network of signaling and regulatory circuitries that drive the processes of life.These processes include the mediation of mechano-sensation,onset of and protection against disease,inflammation,and others.In the network of bio-complex systems,each pathway interacts nonlinearly with others through different molecular intermediates.As a result,specific functionalities can not be simply linked to the cellular molecules in isolation.A complex system generally possesses very rich information content that can be characterized by the following features:(i)they contain a large number of building blocks;(ii)their interactions among building blocks and with their environment;(iii)they display organization without an external organizing principle being applied;and(iv)they exhibit adaptability and robustness.These properties account for the innate intelligence of biology and its ability to regulate its homeostatic behavior.However,this same complexity underlies,in cancer for example,challenges towards disease management,as the addressing of singular pathways with therapeutic compounds is not sufficient.Therefore,combinatorial therapy often serves as a key strategy towards tumor suppression.Because iterative searching for optimized therapeutic combinations is indeed a daunting,if not preclusive task,we introduce the feedback system control(FSC)scheme,which may serve as a clinically relevant approach,provided a translational approach towards drug delivery is employed.Due to their innate biocompatibility,which has been comprehensively observed,as well as their ability to delivery virtually any type of therapeutic in a sustained fashion due to their unique surface properties,nanodiamonds may serve as a foundation for nanoenabled combinatorial therapy. 展开更多

The PID gain parameters are optimized by the genetic algorithm (GA). The controller is verified on the new state-space model of servo-valves attached to the physical rotary actuator by SIMULINK program. The controller and the state-space model are verified experimentally. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the PID controller adaptive by GA to control the angular position of the rotary actuator as compared with the classical PID controller and the compensator controller. 展开更多

The attitude tracking control problem for a satellite with parameter uncertainties and external disturbances is considered in this paper. For this class of multi-input multi-output uncertain nonlinear systems, a design method of robust output tracking controllers is proposed based on the upper-bounds of the uncertainties. Using the input/output feedback linearization approach and Lyapunov method, a control law is designed, which guarantees that the system output exponentially tracks the given desired output. The proposed controller is easy to compute and complement. Simulation results show that, in the closed-loop system, precise attitude control is accomplished in spite of the uncertainties in the system. 展开更多

The paper proposes a novel H∞ load frequency control(LFC) design method for multi-area power systems based on an integral-based non-fragile distributed fixed-order dynamic output feedback(DOF) tracking-regulator control scheme. To this end, we consider a nonlinear interconnected model for multiarea power systems which also include uncertainties and timevarying communication delays. The design procedure is formulated using semi-definite programming and linear matrix inequality(LMI) method. The solution of the proposed LMIs returns necessary parameters for the tracking controllers such that the impact of model uncertainty and load disturbances are minimized. The proposed controllers are capable of receiving all or part of subsystems information, whereas the outputs of each controller are local. These controllers are designed such that the resilient stability of the overall closed-loop system is guaranteed. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Simulation results quantify that the distributed(and decentralized) controlled system behaves well in presence of large parameter perturbations and random disturbances on the power system. 展开更多
