An approach is proposed for modeling and anal- yses of rigid multibody systems with frictional translation joints and driving constraints. The geometric constraints of translational joints with small clearance are treated as bilat- eral constraints by neglecting the impact between sliders and guides. Firstly, the normal forces acting on sliders, the driv- ing constraint forces (or moments) and the constraint forces of smooth revolute joints are all described by complementary conditions. The frictional contacts are characterized by a set- valued force law of Coulomb's dry friction. Combined with the theory of the horizontal linear complementarity problem (HLCP), an event-driven scheme is used to detect the transi- tions of the contact situation between sliders and guides, and the stick-slip transitions of sliders, respectively. And then, all constraint forces in the system can be computed easily. Secondly, the dynamic equations of multibody systems are written at the acceleration-force level by the Lagrange multiplier technique, and the Baumgarte stabilization method is used to reduce the constraint drift. Finally, a numerical example is given to show some non-smooth dynamical behaviors of the studied system. The obtained results validate the feasibility of algorithm and the effect of constraint stabilization. 展开更多

The definition and the criterion of Mei symmetry for Nielsen equations in the holonomic systems with unilateral constraints under the infinitesimal transformations of Lie group are also given. The expressions of the structural equation and a type of new conserved quantity of Mei symmetry for Nielsen equations in the holonomic system with unilateral constraints are obtained. The definition and properties of canonical coordinates are introduced. The relation between Lie point symmetries and the canonical coordinates of the constraint mechanical system are expressed. By this re-lation, the canonical coordinates can be obtained. Properties of the canonical coordinates and the Lie symmetry theory are used to seek the first integrals of constraint mechanical system. The paper investigates decentralized event-triggered average consensus problem for multi-agent systems in cyberphysical systems (CPSs) with communication constraints. To reduce communication burden and improve the communication efficiency of multi-agent systems in CPSs, event-trigger is distributed at subsystem/agent level. A multi-agent system is then modeled as a reduced dimension hybrid system by taking into account decentralized event-triggered mechanism, communication delays and data dropouts within one framework. Some sufficient conditions for average consensus of each agent and an upper bound of communication delay and maximal allowable number of successive data dropouts (MANSD) are obtained, which can conveniently provide the relationship between the triggering parameters, communication constraints and the system stability. Specially, the quantitative relationship between the triggering parameters, MANSD and the system stability is derived. Finally, simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation. 展开更多

Moreover, a so called zero extension technique was presented to keep the algorithm always convergent to the needed result for any randomly chosen initial data. The latter is released from rest. As it falls under gravity’s pull, it drags the one on the table. It is the interest of this investigation to analyze the kinematics of the system. Because of the holonomic constraint of the system, analysis of the problem encounters complicated super nonlinear coupled differential equations. Utilizing Mathematica we solve the equations numerically. Applying the solutions we quantify numerous kinematic quantities;most interestingly we evaluate the run-time, and the trajectory of the falling block. In this study, we consider the generation of optimal persistent formations for heterogeneous multi-agent systems, with the leader constraint that only specific agents can act as leaders. We analyze three modes to control the optimal persistent formations in two-dimensional space, thereby establishing a model for their constrained generation. Then, we propose an algorithm for generating the optimal persistent formation for heterogeneous multi-agent systems with a leader constraint (LC-HMAS-OPFGA), which is the exact solution algorithm of the model, and we theoretically prove its validity. This algorithm includes two kernel sub-algorithms, which are optimal persistent graph generating algorithm based on a minimum cost arborescence and the shortest path (MCA-SP-OPGGA), and the optimal persistent graph adjusting algorithm based on the shortest path (SP-OPGAA). Under a given agent formation shape and leader constraint, LC-HMAS-OPFGA first generates the network topology and its optimal rigid graph corresponding to this formation shape. Then, LC-HMAS- OPFGA uses MCA-SP-OPGGA to direct the optimal rigid graph to generate the optimal persistent graph. Finally, LC- HMAS-OPFGA uses SP-OPGAA to adjust the optimal persistent graph until it satisfies the leader constraint. We also demonstrate the algorithm, LC-HMAS-OPFGA, with an example and verify its effectiveness. 展开更多

The aim of this paper is to present a finite element modeling of the dynamic motion of a turbine rotor and its controller design with the mass unbalance under a crack on a rotating shaft. This process is an advanced method to the mathematical description of a system including an influence of a mass unbalance and a crack on the rotor shaft. As the first step, the shaft is physically modeled with a finite element method and the dynamic mathematical model is derived by using the Hamilton principle;thus, the system is represented by various subsystems. The equation of motion of a shaft with a mass unbalance and a crack is established by adapting the local mass unbalance and stiffness change through breathing and gaping from the existence of a crack. This is a reference system for the given system. Based on a fictitious model for transient behavior induced from vibration phenomena measured at the bearings, an elementary estimator is designed for the safety control and detection of a mass unbalance on the shaft. Using the state estimator, a bank of an estimator is established to get the diagnosis and the system data for a controller. 展开更多
