Amethod for real-time moving object detection is described. Anew background model is proposed to handle the illumination varition problem. With optical flow technology and background subtraction, a moving object is extracted quickly and accurately. An effective shadow elimination algorithm based on color features is used to refine the moving obj ects. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can update the background exactly and quickly along with the varition of illumination, and the shadow can be eliminated effectively. The proposed algorithm is a real-time one which the foundation for further object recognition and understanding of video mum'toting systems.展开更多

Pei'ai 64S has stronger fertility restoring (Rf) genes for CMS-lines and its TGMS trait is governed by 2 pairs of independent recessive genes; The TGMS trait of 6311S is governed by a single recessive gene with weaker Rf-gene in 6311S and the TGMS trait of 360S is governed by a single recessive gene with no Rf-gene in 360S. The investigation on the fertility of F1 plants between 5 CMS-lines and 4 TGMS generations selected from F2 plants of 4 CMS-lines x 6311S confirmed that the expression of TGMS-gene was controlled by Rf-gene in the genetic background of cytoplasm of CMS-lines, but not affected by Rf-gene in the genetic background of normal fertile cytoplasm. The potential breeding strategies of TGMS-lines with cytoplasm of CMS-lines and CMS-lines with the nucleus of TGMS-genes were discussed.展开更多

The principle of the new information priority in the grey system theory and the rationality of the initial item in the original GM(1,1) model are ful y expressed through the improvement of the initial item in the proposed time response function. A numerical example is employed to il ustrate that the proposed method is able to simulate and predict sequences of raw data with the unbiased exponential distribution and has better simulation performance and prediction precision than the original GM(1,1) model relatively.展开更多
In order to improve the efficiency of the Ocean Variational Assimilation System (OVALS), which has been widely used in various applications, an improved OVALS (OVALS2) is developed based on the recursive filter ...In order to improve the efficiency of the Ocean Variational Assimilation System (OVALS), which has been widely used in various applications, an improved OVALS (OVALS2) is developed based on the recursive filter (RF) algorithm. The first advantage of OVALS2 is that memory storage can be substantially reduced in practice because it implicitly computes the background error covariance matrix; the second advantage is that there is no inversion of the background error covariance by preconditioning the control variable. For comparing the effectiveness between OVALS2 and OVALS, a set of experiments was implemented by assimilating expendable bathythermograph (XBT) and ARGO data into the Tropical Pacific circulation model. The results show that the efficiency of OVALS2 is much higher than that of OVALS. The computational time and the computer storage in the assimilation process were reduced by 83% and 77%, respectively. Additionally, the corresponding results produced by the RF are almost as good as those obtained by OVALS. These results prove that OVALS2 is suitable for operational numerical oceanic forecasting.展开更多

This paper presents a fast and adaptive background subtraction algorithm and the motion tracking process using this algorithm. The algorithm uses only luminance components of sampled image sequence pixels and models every pixel in a statistical model. The algorithm is characterized by its ability of real time detecting sudden lighting changes, and extracting and tracking motion objects faster. It is shown that our algorithm can be realized with lower time and space complexity and adjustable object detection error rate with comparison to other background subtraction algorithms. Making use of the algorithm, an indoor monitoring system is also worked out and the motion tracking process is presented in this paper. Experimental results testify the algorithm's good performances when used in an indoor monitoring system.展开更多
利用高分辨率卫星的云顶黑体亮温(Black Body Temperature,TBB)资料,对2010~2022年暖季(5~9月)四川及其周边地区(25°N~35°N,96°E~110°E)中尺度对流系统(Mesoscale Convection Systems,MCSs)进行识别、追踪和分类。...利用高分辨率卫星的云顶黑体亮温(Black Body Temperature,TBB)资料,对2010~2022年暖季(5~9月)四川及其周边地区(25°N~35°N,96°E~110°E)中尺度对流系统(Mesoscale Convection Systems,MCSs)进行识别、追踪和分类。重点关注了4类MCS(即MCC、PECS、MβCCS和MβECS)的时空分布、活动特征及其对局部降水(夜间/白天)的贡献,并探讨了有利于MCS生成的大尺度环流条件。主要结论如下:β中尺度圆形的对流系统在该地区暖季最为常见。MCS分布较为分散,川西高原、四川盆地东部和南部是对流活动的活跃区,其中南部对流的夜发性显著。MCS的生成在7月最多,5月最少,而6月的对流发展最为旺盛。α中尺度圆形和β中尺度带状的MCS在成熟时具有更大的平均面积、更低的最低云顶温度和更长的生命史。4类MCS表现出发展慢、消亡快的特征,生成的峰值时段集中在午后17:00(北京时间,下同)至18:00。与MCS有关的降水占总降水量的25%以上,对夜间降水的贡献明显高于日间;对流层高空西风急流和反气旋性环流、对流层中低空浅槽、正相对涡度带和气旋性切变以及来自孟加拉湾的水汽为MCS的生成和维持提供了有利条件。展开更多
