The proposed switched system is composed of stable subsystems and unstable subsystems, which not only involves state delay and norm-bounded time-varying parameter uncertainties, but also contains the impulsive switching effects between the subsystems. Based on the extension of the system dimension and the concept of average dwell time, a kind of practically useful switching rule is presented which guarantees the desired robust exponential stability. In this paper, we study the integrability and linearization of a class of quadratic quasi-analytic switching systems. We improve an existing method to compute the focus values and periodic constants of quasianalytic switching systems. In particular, with our method, we demonstrate that the dynamical behaviors of quasi-analytic switching systems are more complex than those of continuous quasi-analytic systems, by showing the existence of six and seven limit cycles in the neighborhood of the origin and infinity, respectively, in a quadratic quasi-analytic switching system. Moreover, explicit conditions are obtained for classifying the centers and isochronous centers of the system. 展开更多

With dynamic programming and viscosity solution theory we show that the switching lower-value function is a viscosity solution of the appropriate systems of quasi-variational inequalities(the appropriate generalization of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation in this context) and that the minimal such switching-storage function is equal to the continuous switching lower-value for the game. The influence of the random time-delay is combined into reconstructing the switching signal of overall closed-loop system and changes the distribution property of switching points. Therefore,based on the asymptotical behaviors of Poisson processes and Wiener processes,the almost surely exponential stability conditions are established. A guaranteed cost control problem for a class of linear discrete-time switched systems with norm-bounded uncertainties is considered in this article. The purpose is to construct a switching rule and design a state feedback control law, such that, the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and the closed-loop cost function value is not more than a specified upper bound for all admissible uncertainties under the constructed switching rule. A sufficient condition for the existence of guaranteed cost controllers and switching rules is derived based on the Lyapunov theory together with the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. Furthermore, a convex optimization problem with LMI constraints is formulated to select the suboptimal guaranteed cost controller. A numerical example demonstrates the validity of the proposed design approach. 展开更多

The robust controller design problem for switched polytopic systems under asynchronous switching is addressed.These systems exist in many aviation applications,such as dynamical systems involving rapid variations.A switched polytopic system is established to describe the highly maneuverable technology vehicle within the full flight envelope and a robust dynamic output feedback control method is designed for the switched polytopic system.Combining the Lyapunov-like function method and the average dwell time method,a sufficient condition is derived for the switched polytopic system with asynchronous switching and data dropout to be globally,uniformly and asymptotically stable in terms of linear matrix inequality.The robust dynamic output feedback controller is then applied to the highly maneuverable technology vehicle to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.The simulation results show that the angle of attack tracking performance is acceptable over the time history and the control surface responses are all satisfying along the full flight trajectory. 展开更多

In this paper, the problems of stability for a class of switched positive descriptor systems(SPDSs)with average dwell time(ADT) switching are investigated. First, based on the equivalent switched system and the properties of the projector matrix, sufficient stabilities are given for the underlying systems in both continuoustime and discrete-time contexts. Then, a sufficient stability condition for the SPDS with both stable and unstable subsystems is obtained. The stability results for the SPDSs are represented in terms of a set of linear programmings(LPs) by the multiple linear co-positive Lyapunov function(MLCLF) approach. Finally, three numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results. 展开更多

Each subsystem has a storage function to describe the "energy" stored in the subsystem. The passivity property of a switched system is given in terms of multiple storage functions. Each storage function is allowed to grow on the "switched on" time sequence but the total growth is bounded by a certain function. Stability is inferred from passivity and asymptotic stability is achieved under further assumptions of a detectivity property of a local form and boundedness of the total change of some storage function on its inactive intervals. The proposed control strategy is composed of a linear adaptive controller, a neural network(NN) based nonlinear adaptive controller and a switching mechanism. An incremental model is derived to represent the considered system and an improved robust adaptive law is chosen to update the parameters of the linear adaptive controller. A new performance criterion of the switching mechanism is designed to select the proper controller. Using this control scheme, all the signals in the system are proved to be bounded. The leader-following asymptotic consensus problem for general discrete-time linear multi-agent systems over jointly con-nected switching networks was solved about a decade ago.Recently,the leader-following exponential consensus was further established using the so-called Krasovskii-LaSalle theorem for a class of discrete-time linear switched systems.But this method involves some advanced concepts such as the weak zero-state detectability of some limiting system.In this paper,we offer a simpler solution to the leader-following exponential consensus problem for general discrete-time linear multi-agent systems over jointly connected switching networks.After converting the solvability of the problem to the establishment of the exponential stability for a class of discrete-time linear switched systems,we first show that this class of linear switched systems is uniformly completely observable.Then,we further conclude that the uniform complete observability for this class of linear switched systems implies the exponential stability for the same class of linear switched systems,thus leading to the solution of the leader-following exponential consensus problem.Moreover,our approach also gives rise to an explicit characterization of the exponential convergence rate of the leader-following consensus problem. 展开更多

In the low layer, a state-dependent switching rule with a dwell time constraint to exponentially stabilize switched linear systems is given; in the high layer, supervisory conditions on the mismatched switching frequency and the mismatched switching ratio are presented, under which the closed-loop switched system is still exponentially stable in case of the candidate controller switches delay with respect to the subsystems. Different from the traditional switching rule, the two-layer switching architecture and switching rule have robustness, which in some extend permit mismatched switching between switched subsystems and their candidate controllers. 展开更多

Switched systems play an imperative role in modeling many real industrial systems with abrupt changes.Due to possible exposure to unreliable and complex physical environments,switching dynamics may simultaneously face multiple faults,including the unexpected controller disconnect,the temporary mismatch between subsystems and desired corresponding controllers,and the intermittent disordering of mode transitions.These commonly arising faults may result in severe and detrimental impacts on the reliability and convergence of the closed-loop solution,thereby bringing significant yet challenging issues to be tackled.This paper provides the first attempt to investigate the stabilization problem for a class of constrained switched linear systems with multiple faults under mode-dependent dwell time(MDT).From a set-theory perspective,we demonstrate a critical necessary and sufficient stability condition for switched systems without uncertainties.Moreover,the non-conservative stability criterion is further extended to the perturbed switched systems with rigorous proof.A switching communication network example verifies the validity of the theoretical result and demonstrates their advantages. 展开更多
