The disease was first discovered in December 2019 in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. A few months later, the disease spread all over the world and became an epidemic. The infection for most people is mild to moderate but in Vulnerable groups, if they have the infections, they might experience severe COVID-19. Saudi Arabia initiated its response plan early, and all sectors and agencies worked in an integrated way to combat the disease. It has maintained proper communication during the pandemic and ensured community involvement, epidemiologic surveillance, and activation of rapid response teams. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected daily lives. Schools and daycares were closed, education was online, traveling stopped, work was suspended, gathering in social activities and practicing religious rituals, like praying or doing Umrah or Hajj, were banded. Changing lifestyles as a response to COVID-19 impacted whole communities with different categories of children, parents, and families. Women usually take the majority of daily responsibilities. The sudden change in lifestyle during COVID-19 put pressure on mothers, especially those who are working to balance work and family obligations. This study aims to identify the impact of Coronavirus disease 2019 on working mothers in Saudi Arabia. Method: Data of the study was collected through survey posted on social media and analyzed through Excel. It focuses on five aspects: health, lifestyle, social relations, work production and financial status. Our target population was working mothers in Saudi Arabia aged at least 25 years. Results: In this study, all factors affected working mothers categorized under two groups: Social Economic Status and Work suspension. For Social Economic Status factors, we find five factors which are monthly income, main breadwinner, number of children at school age, type of housing, and type of work. Almost all mothers include spiritual activities to their routine to cope with stress during this period. About half of our sample have negative impact on their mental health because they are the main breadwinner, and mothers with a smaller number of children at school age have more challenges to cope up. We found that mothers who own a house or work at governmental sector have better outcome of health. After analyzing data related to Work suspension, we found that mothers who have work support have better management for life circumstances, however their health outcomes were negatively affected. In addition, mothers working at education sector have the highest positive impact among other sectors. Our data shows that working mothers’ abilities to follow up with their children decreased. This study recommends that there is need to invest more in working mothers’ research and supportive programs and ensure collaboration globally to address working mothers’ needs and share experiences.展开更多

文摘Addressing the environmental issues of traditional vanadium extraction methods from vanadium-bearing shale,a highly efficient and clean suspension oxidation roasting-curing-leaching process was proposed and semi-industrial trials were conducted.Vanadium in raw ore mainly exists in sericite, roscoelite, and limonite, predominantly in the forms of V(Ⅲ)and V(Ⅳ).Under the conditions of a feed rate of 30 kg/h,an air flow rate of 28.0 m^(3)/h,an O_(2) flow rate of 4.0 m^(3)/h,and a temperature of 900℃ in both the suspension furnace and fluidized reactor, the vanadium-bearing mica underwent dehydroxylation and transformed into illite-montmorillonite.These changes disrupted the crystal structure of mica, facilitating vanadium extraction.Compared to direct acid leaching,curing-leaching demonstrates better performance in vanadium extraction.Under the conditions of curing temperature of 130℃,acid dosage of 40 wt.%,curing time of 6 h,and leaching time of 3 h,a V_(2)O_(5) leaching efficiency of 83.92% was achieved.

文摘BACKGROUND Ganglioneuroma is a rare,well-differentiated,slow-growing benign tumor of the peripheral nerves, with surgical resection being the only curative treatment.Surgical resection of ganglioneuromas encasing major blood vessels remains a substantial clinical challenge.Traditionally, these cases often require open abdominal surgery or combined organ resections, and in some instances, the tumors are considered unresectable.Currently,no reports have described the resection of such tumors via laparoscopy.CASE SUMMARY A 35-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital after the incidental discovery of a retroperitoneal space-occupying lesion.Imaging revealed a mass with the celiac axis and superior mesenteric artery passing through it.A neurogenic tumor was suspected, with ganglioneuroma being the most likely diagnosis.Following comprehensive preoperative preparation, the retroperitoneal tumor was resected using a three-dimensional laparoscopy combined with an organ suspension technique. The surgical approach involved incising the tumor along the vascular axis and conducting meticulous,vascular-preserving tumor excision. The operation lasted approximately 458 minutes, with an estimated blood loss of 50 mL.The patient was discharged on the 8th postoperative day.A transient liver injury occurred after surgery but improved rapidly. After 11 months of postoperative follow-up,no complications or tumor recurrence were observed.CONCLUSION This case illustrates the feasibility of minimally invasive laparoscopic resection for retroperitoneal ganglioneuromas encasing major blood vessels.
文摘Coronavirus is a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) caused by a novel coronavirus belonging to the family Coronaviridae. This study recommends that there is need to invest more in working mothers’ research and supportive programs and ensure collaboration globally to address working mothers’ needs and share experiences.

文摘Roasting bastnaesite concentrates is a crucial process in extracting rare earths. This study explored an efficient suspension roasting technology and investigated the bastnaesite pyrolysis and cerium(Ce)oxidation.Relevant analytical tests were applied to evaluate the phase and surface property variations of bastnaesite, and isothermal kinetic analysis of bastnaesite pyrolysis and Ce oxidation was performed. The results revealed that bastnaesite decomposed rapidly and accompanied by Ce oxidation, and the gas-solid products were identified as CO_(2),Ce_(7)O_(12),La_(2)O_(3),CeF_(3) and LaF_(3),with Ce oxidation restricted by bastnaesite pyrolysis. As roasting time prolonged, cracks and pores appeared on bastnaesite surface;the BET specific surface and pore diameter increased. In later roasting period, the pore diameter continued to increase but the specific surface decreased, assigned to particle fusion agglomeration and pore consolidation.Additionally, the surface C content reduced and Ce(Ⅳ)content increased gradually as roasting progressed. The reaction kinetics all followed Avrami-Erofeev equations, the reaction orders of bastnaesite pyrolysis and Ce oxidation decreased with decreasing reaction temperature. The calculated activation energies at lower temperatures were higher than those calculated at higher temperatures. This study analyzed the bastnaesite reaction mechanism to supply a reference for the application of suspension roasting technology in bastnaesite smelting.

文摘Oseltamivir phosphate(OP),renowned as one of the most effective drugs for influenza treatment, encounters several challenges, including poor stability, difficulty in swallowing, and a bitter taste, thereby limiting its compliance, particularly among children.Consequently, this study aimed to devise a novel sustained-release suspension of OP employing an ion exchange resin as a carrier to address these challenges. The OP-drug resin complex(OP-DRC)was synthesized utilizing ion exchange technology, while OP-coated microcapsules(OP-CM)were fabricated via the emulsion-evaporation method. The optimization of the formulation process for the OP sustained-release suspension was achieved through a combination of single-factor experimentation and orthogonal experimental design.Furthermore, the drug release kinetics and pharmacokinetic properties of the sustained-release suspension were thoroughly evaluated both in vitro and in vivo.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and attenuated total reflectance Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR)analyses confirmed the formation of drug-resin complexes via ionic bonding. The in vitro cumulative release rates were found to be 16%(1 h),53%(6 h),and 84%(24 h),respectively.Notably, the self-made sustained-release suspension exhibited an extended half-life(21.518 h),delayed time to peak concentration(T_(max))(6 h),and reduced maximum plasma concentration(C_(max))(0.397μg/mL)in comparison to commercial granules(half-life=8.466 h;T_(max)=2 h;C_(max)=0.631μg/mL).Additionally,the area under the curve(AUC)indicated that the bioavailability of the self-made OP suspension surpassed that of the commercial OP granules by 101%.These findings underscored the successful development of an oral OP sustained-release suspension characterized by stability, tastelessness, ease of swallowing, convenient administration, and sustained-release properties, thereby potentially enhancing drug compliance among children.

文摘To improve the accuracy of thermal response estimation and overcome the limitations of the linear regression model and Artificial Neural Network(ANN)model, this study introduces a deep learning estimation method specifically based on the Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)network,to predict temperature-induced girder end displacements of the Dasha Waterway Bridge,a suspension bridge in China.First,to enhance data quality and select target sensors, preprocessing based on the sigma rule and nearest neighbor interpolation is applied to the raw data.Furthermore,to eliminate the high-frequency components from the displacement signal, the wavelet transform is conducted.Subsequently, the linear regression model and ANN model are established, whose results do not meet the requirements and fail to address the time lag effect between temperature and displacements. The study proceeds to develop the LSTM network model and determine the optimal parameters through hyperparameter sensitivity analysis. Finally, the results of the LSTM network model are discussed by a comparative analysis against the linear regression model and ANN model, which indicates a higher accuracy in predicting temperatureinduced girder end displacements and the ability to mitigate the time-lag effect. To be more specific,in comparison between the linear regression model and LSTM network, the mean square error decreases from 6.5937 to 1.6808 and R^(2) increases from 0.683 to 0.930,which corresponds to a 74.51%decrease in MSE and a 36.14%improvement in R^(2).Compared to ANN,with an MSE of 4.6371 and an R^(2) of 0.807,LSTM shows a decrease in MSE of 63.75%and an increase in R^(2) of 13.23%,demonstrating a significant enhancement in predictive performance.
