Research framework for integrated geography:Composite driving-system evolution-coupling mechanism-synergistic regulation

Amid ongoing global environmental change and the critical pursuit of sustainable development,human-environment systems are exhibiting increasingly complex dynamic evolutions and spatial relationships,underscoring an urgent need for innovative research frameworks.Integrated geography synthesizes physical geography,human geography,and geographic information science,providing key frameworks for understanding complex human-environment systems.This editorial proposes an emerging research framework for integrated geography—“Composite driving-System evolution-Coupling mechanism-Synergistic regulation(CSCS)”—based on key issues such as climate change,biodiversity loss,resource scarcity,and social-ecological interactions,which have been highlighted in both recent critical literature on human-environment systems and UN assessment reports.The framework starts with diverse composite driving forces,extends to the evolution of human-environment system structures,processes,and functions that these drivers induce,explores couplings within human-environment systems,and calls for regulation aimed at sustainable development in synergies.Major research frontiers include understanding the cascading“evolution-coupling”effects of shocks;measuring system resilience,thresholds,and safe and just operating space boundaries;clarifying linkage mechanisms across scales;and achieving synergistic outcomes for multi-objective sustainability.This framework will help promote the interdisciplinary integration and development of integrated geography,and provide geographical solutions for the global sustainable development agenda. 展开更多

The vehicle-road coupling dynamics problem is a prominent issue in transportation,drawing significant attention in recent years.These dynamic equations are characterized by high-dimensionality,coupling,and time-varying dynamics,making the exact solutions challenging to obtain.As a result,numerical integration methods are typically employed.However,conventional methods often suffer from low computational efficiency.To address this,this paper explores the application of the parameter freezing precise exponential integrator to vehicle-road coupling models.The model accounts for road roughness irregularities,incorporating all terms unrelated to the linear part into the algorithm's inhomogeneous vector.The general construction process of the algorithm is detailed.The validity of numerical results is verified through approximate analytical solutions(AASs),and the advantages of this method over traditional numerical integration methods are demonstrated.Multiple parameter freezing precise exponential integrator schemes are constructed based on the Runge-Kutta framework,with the fourth-order four-stage scheme identified as the optimal one.The study indicates that this method can quickly and accurately capture the dynamic system's vibration response,offering a new,efficient approach for numerical studies of high-dimensional vehicle-road coupling systems. 展开更多

The governing equations of the interaction system are established first, and the solution procedure and assembly method of the coupling element are demonstrated. Finally, the accuracy, efficiency and function of the integrated coupling element are tested using two numerical examples. Synchronization errors directly deteriorate the machining accuracy of metal parts and the existed method cannot keep high synchronization precision because of external disturbances. A new double position servo synchronous driving scheme based on semi-closed-loop cross- coupling integrated feedforward control is proposed. The scheme comprises a position error cross-coupling feedfor-ward control and a load torque identification with feed- forward control. A digital integrated simulation system for the dual servo synchronous drive system is established. Using a 20 t servo broacher, performance analysis of the scheme is conducted based on this simulation system and the simulation results show that systems with traditional parallel or single control have problems when the work- table works with an unbalanced load. However, the system with proposed scheme shows good synchronous perfor- mance and positional accuracy. Broaching tests are performed and the experimental results show that the maximum dual axis synchronization error of the system is only 8μm during acceleration and deceleration processes and the error between the actual running position and the given position is almost zero. A double position servo synchronous driving scheme is presented based on crosscoupled integrated feedforward compensation control, which can improve the synchronization precision. 展开更多

A robust low-carbon economic optimal scheduling method that considers source-load uncertainty and hydrogen energy utilization is developed.The proposed method overcomes the challenge of source-load random fluctuations in integrated energy systems(IESs)in the operation scheduling problem of integrated energy production units(IEPUs).First,to solve the problem of inaccurate prediction of renewable energy output,an improved robust kernel density estimation method is proposed to construct a data-driven uncertainty output set of renewable energy sources statistically and build a typical scenario of load uncertainty using stochastic scenario reduction.Subsequently,to resolve the problem of insufficient utilization of hydrogen energy in existing IEPUs,a robust low-carbon economic optimal scheduling model of the source-load interaction of an IES with a hydrogen energy system is established.The system considers the further utilization of energy using hydrogen energy coupling equipment(such as hydrogen storage devices and fuel cells)and the comprehensive demand response of load-side schedulable resources.The simulation results show that the proposed robust stochastic optimization model driven by data can effectively reduce carbon dioxide emissions,improve the source-load interaction of the IES,realize the efficient use of hydrogen energy,and improve system robustness. 展开更多

Through field sampling survey of 18 villages over coal resources in 3 townships and towns in Zezhou County,Jincheng City,Shanxi Province,this paper analyzed the favorable conditions and obstacles for villages over coal resources to carry out farmland scale management.On this basis,combined with the integrated land consolidation measures in villages over coal resources and their effectiveness,and using the principles of system dynamics,it studied the coupling relationship between integrated land consolidation in villages over coal resources and farmland scale management and built a coupling model.It found that the integrated land consolidation system of villages over coal resources has a coupling relationship with the external and internal conditions of the farmland scale management system at the regional and project scales.The two systems interact with and influence each other through the"bridge"of"agricultural modernization condition".The study indicates that at the same time of integrated land consolidation of villages over coal resources caring about the improvement of internal conditions,it is also necessary to improve the external conditions of farmland scale management through regional scale measures such as laws and policies,to support the implementation of land consolidation projects,and realize farmland scale management. 展开更多

Finally, an expanding loop algebra ~FM of the loop algebra ~X is presented. Based on the ~FM, the multi-component integrable coupling system of the multi-component Dirac equation hierarchy is investigated. A constitutive model of unsaturated soils with coupling capillary hystere- sis and skeleton deformation is developed and implemented in a fully coupled transient hydro-mechanical finite-element model (computer code U-DYSAC2). The obtained re- sults are compared with experimental results, showing that the proposed constitutive model can simulate the main mechanical and hydraulic behavior of unsaturated soils in a unified framework. The non-lineaxity of the soil-water characteristic relation is treated in a similar way of elastoplasticity. Two constitutive relations axe integrated by an implicit return-mapping scheme similar to that developed for saturated soils. A consistent tan- gential modulus is derived to preserve the asymptotic rate of the quadratic convergence of Newton's iteration. Combined with the integration of the constitutive model, a complete finite-element formulation of coupling hydro-mechanical problems for unsaturated soils is presented. A number of practical problems with different given initial and boundary conditions are analyzed to illustrate the performance and capabilities of the finite-element model. 展开更多

Inspired by the integrated guidance and control design for endo-atmospheric aircraft,the integrated position and attitude control of spacecraft has attracted increasing attention and gradually induced a wide variety of study results in last over two decades,fully incorporating control requirements and actuator characteristics of space missions.This paper presents a novel and comprehensive survey to the coupled position and attitude motions of spacecraft from the perspective of dynamics and control.To this end,a systematic analysis is firstly conducted in details to show the position and attitude mutual couplings of spacecraft.Particularly,in terms of the time discrepancy between spacecraft position and attitude motions,space missions can be categorized into two types:space proximity operation and space orbital maneuver.Based on this classification,the studies on the coupled dynamic modeling and the integrated control design for position and attitude motions of spacecraft are sequentially summarized and analyzed.On the one hand,various coupled position and dynamic formulations of spacecraft based on various mathematical tools are reviewed and compared from five aspects,including mission applicability,modeling simplicity,physical clearance,information matching and expansibility.On the other hand,the development of the integrated position and attitude control of spacecraft is analyzed for two space missions,and especially,five distinctive development trends are captured for space operation missions.Finally,insightful prospects on future development of the integrated position and attitude control technology of spacecraft are proposed,pointing out current primary technical issues and possible feasible solutions. 展开更多
