Utilizing an engineering case from a gold mine in Dandong, China, a laboratory-based similar test is conducted to extract the actual roof characteristic curve. This test continues until the mining stope collapses due to a U-shaped failure. Concurrently, a semi-theoretical method for obtaining the roof characteristic curve is proposed and verified against the actual curve. The semi-theoretical method calculated that the support force and vertical displacement at the demarcation point between the elastic and plastic zones of the roof characteristic curve are 5.0 MPa and 8.20 mm, respectively, corroborating well with the laboratory-based similar test results of 0.22 MPa and 0.730 mm. The weakening factor for the plastic zone in the roof characteristic curve was semi-theoretically estimated to be 0.75. The intersection between the actual roof characteristic curve and the support characteristic curves of expandable props, natural pillars, and concrete props indicates that the expandable prop is the most effective “yielding support” for the stope roof in room-and-pillar mining. That is, the deformation and failure of the stope roof can be effectively controlled with proper release of roof stress. This study provides practical insights for optimizing support strategies in room-and-pillar mining, enhancing the safety and efficiency of mining operations.展开更多

Understanding the interaction between supports and the surrounding rock is necessary for effective rockburst control. In this study, the squeezing behavior of the surrounding rock is analyzed in rockburst roadways, and a mechanical model of rockbursts is established considering the dynamic support stress, thus deriving formulas and providing characteristic curves for describing the interaction between the support and surrounding rock. Design principles and parameters of supports for rockburst control are proposed. The results show that only when the geostress magnitude exceeds a critical value can it drive the formation of rockburst conditions. The main factors influencing the convergence response and rockburst occurrence around roadways are geostress, rock brittleness, uniaxial compressive strength, and roadway excavation size. Roadway support devices can play a role in controlling rockburst by suppressing the squeezing evolution of the surrounding rock towards instability points of rockburst. Further, the higher the strength and the longer the impact stroke of support devices with constant resistance, the more easily multiple balance points can be formed with the surrounding rock to control rockburst occurrence. Supports with long impact stroke allow adaptation to varying geostress levels around the roadway, aiding in rockburst control. The results offer a quantitative method for designing support systems for rockburst-prone roadways. The design criterion of supports is determined by the intersection between the convergence curve of the surrounding rock and the squeezing deformation curve of the support devices.展开更多

文摘Intervention strategies to control non-point source nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)pollution in agriculture are expensive and there is a trade-off between engineering cost and treatment effectiveness.Implementing strategies often result in unsatisfactory outcomes and massive engineering costs when managing diffusive pollution in agricultural catchments. To address this issue, this paper proposes a robust, handy, catchment N&P decision support system(CNPDSS),an Android-based smartphone system integrated with a web-based geographic information system(GIS).The CNPDSS aims to provide artificial intelligence-driven decisions that minimize N&P loadings and engineering costs for mitigating pollution in agricultural catchments. It consists of four components:a general user interface(GUI),GIS,N&P pollution modeling(NPPM),and a DSS.The CNPDSS simplifies the GUI and integrates GIS modules to create a user-friendly interface, enabling non-professional users to operate the system easily through intuitive actions. The NPPM uses straightforward empirical models to predict N&P loadings, enhancing efficiency by avoiding excessive parameters.Taking into account the N&P movement pathway in the catchment, the DSS incorporates three control measures:source reduction in farmland(before migration stage),process retention by ecological ditch(midway transport stage),and down-end purification by constructed wetland(waterbody discharge stage),to formulate a comprehensive ternary controlling strategy. To optimize the cost-effectiveness of any proposed N&P control strategies for sub-catchments,a differential evolution algorithm(DEA)is employed in CNPDSS to carry out a dual-objective decision-making optimization computation. In this study, the CNPDSS is applied to a case study in an agricultural catchment in Central China to develop the most cost-effective ternary N&P control strategies that ensure the catchment water quality within Criterion Ⅲ of the Chinese Surface Water Quality Standard GB3838-2002 is met(total N concentration≤1.0 mg L^(-1)and total P concentration≤0.2 mg L^(-1)).Our results demonstrate that the CNPDSS is feasible and also possesses an adaptive design and flexible architecture to enable its generalization and extension to support strong hands-on applications in other catchments.

文摘Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a debilitating neurological disorder affecting over 10 million people worldwide.PD classification models using voice signals as input are common in the literature. It is believed that using deep learning algorithms further enhances performance;nevertheless,it is challenging due to the nature of small-scale and imbalanced PD datasets. This paper proposed a convolutional neural network-based deep support vector machine(CNN-DSVM)to automate the feature extraction process using CNN and extend the conventional SVM to a DSVM for better classification performance in small-scale PD datasets.A customized kernel function reduces the impact of biased classification towards the majority class(healthy candidates in our consideration). An improved generative adversarial network(IGAN)was designed to generate additional training data to enhance the model’s performance. For performance evaluation, the proposed algorithm achieves a sensitivity of 97.6%and a specificity of 97.3%.The performance comparison is evaluated from five perspectives, including comparisons with different data generation algorithms, feature extraction techniques, kernel functions, and existing works. Results reveal the effectiveness of the IGAN algorithm, which improves the sensitivity and specificity by 4.05%–4.72%and 4.96%–5.86%,respectively;and the effectiveness of the CNN-DSVM algorithm, which improves the sensitivity by 1.24%–57.4%and specificity by 1.04%–163%and reduces biased detection towards the majority class. The ablation experiments confirm the effectiveness of individual components. Two future research directions have also been suggested.

文摘Catalyst–support interaction plays a crucial role in improving the catalytic activity of oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Here we modulate the catalyst–support interaction in polyaniline-supported Ni_(3)Fe oxide(Ni_(3)Fe oxide/PANI)with a robust hetero-interface,which significantly improves oxygen evolution activities with an overpotential of 270 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2)and specific activity of 2.08 mA cm_(ECSA)^(-2)at overpotential of 300 mV,3.84-fold that of Ni_(3)Fe oxide. It is revealed that the catalyst–support interaction between Ni_(3)Fe oxide and PANI support enhances the Ni–O covalency via the interfacial Ni–N bond, thus promoting the charge and mass transfer on Ni_(3)Fe oxide.Considering the excellent activity and stability, rechargeable Zn-air batteries with optimum Ni_(3)Fe oxide/PANI are assembled, delivering a low charge voltage of 1.95 V to cycle for 400 h at 10 mA cm^(-2).The regulation of the effect of catalyst–support interaction on catalytic activity provides new possibilities for the future design of highly efficient OER catalysts.

文摘This study is to determine the support mechanism of pre-stressed expandable props for the stope roof in room- and-pillar mining, which is crucial for maintaining stability and preventing roof collapse in mines. This study provides practical insights for optimizing support strategies in room-and-pillar mining, enhancing the safety and efficiency of mining operations.

文摘This review explored the application and effectiveness of and research gaps in integrative psychological support in patients undergoing cardiac surgery during the perioperative period. These patients often encounter psychological issues such as anxiety and depression, which affect their postoperative recovery and quality of life.Previous research indicated that preoperative psychological assessments and interventions significantly enhance patients’psychological states and posto-perative outcomes.Interventions, including preoperative education,mindfulness-based stress reduction, and cognitive training, have proven effective in reducing the incidence of postoperative delirium and anxiety.Intraoperative environment optimization(e.g.,music therapy)and postoperative psychological support(e.g.,family visits and psychological interventions in intensive care unit psychological interventions)positively influence patient recovery.Furthermore,theory-based nursing interventions and digital health tools(e.g.,remote monitoring applica-tions)offer new directions for psychological support.However,challenges,inclu-ding fragmented psychological support, insufficient cross-stage integration, and inadequate training, remain in current nursing practices.Future research should focus on developing standardized psychological support pathways, enhancing multidisciplinary collaboration, and verifying the long-term effects of digital the-rapeutics.

文摘The total nitrogen(TN)is a major factor contributing to eutrophication and is a crucial parameter in assessing surface water quality.Accurate and rapid methods are crucial for determining the TN content in water.Herein,a fast, highly sensitive, and pollution-free approach is proposed, which combines ultraviolet(UV)absorption spectroscopy with Bayesian optimized least squares support vector machine(LSSVM)for detecting TN content in water.Water samples collected from sampling points near the Yangtze River basin in Chongqing of China were analyzed using national standard methods to measure TN content as reference values. The prediction of TN content in water was achieved by integrating the UV absorption spectra of water samples with LSSVM.To make the model quickly and accurately select the optimal parameters to improve the accuracy of the prediction model, the Bayesian optimization(BO)algorithm was used to optimize the parameters of the LSSVM.Results show that the prediction model performs well in predicting TN concentration, with a high coefficient of prediction determination(R^(2)=0.9413)and a low root mean square error of prediction(RMSE=0.0779 mg/L).Comparative analysis with previous studies indicates that the model used in this paper achieves lower prediction errors and superior predictive performance.

文摘Maintaining high metal dispersion of supported metal catalysts to achieve superior reactivity under harsh conditions poses one of the main challenges for their practical applications.Constructing and regulating the strong metal-support interactions(SMSI)by diverse methodologies has emerged as one of the promising approaches to fabricating robust supported metal catalysts. In this study,we report an L-ascorbic acid(AA)-inducing strategy to generate SMSI on a titania-supported gold(Au)catalyst after high-temperature treatment in an inert atmosphere(600℃,N_(2)).The AA-induced SMSI can efficiently stabilize Au nanoparticles(NPs)and preserve their catalytic performance. The detailed study reveals that the key to realizing this SMSI is the generation of oxygen vacancies within the TiO_(2) support induced by the adsorbed AA,which drives the formation of the Ti Oxpermeable layer onto the Au NPs.The strategy could be extended to TiO_(2)-supported Au catalysts with different crystal phases and platinum group metals, such as Pt,Pd,and Rh.This work offers a promising novel route to design stable and efficient supported noble metal catalysts by constructing SMSI using simple reducing organic adsorbent.

文摘As mines go deeper, mine designs become more fragile and effective rock support becomes a strategic element for ground control to facilitate timely construction and cost-effective access for uninterrupted production. This article focuses on the design of integrated support systems for brittle ground when large displacements due to gradual bulking of stress-fractured rock or sudden violent bulking during rockbursts are induced by static and dynamic loading. It provides an overview of support design principles for a rational approach to ground control in deep mines when large deformations are anticipated near excavations.Such designs must not only account for load equilibrium but also for deformation compatibility. Most importantly, the design approach must account for the fact that the support’s displacement capacity is being consumed as it is deformed after support installation. It is therefore necessary to design for the remnant support capacity,i.e.the capacity remaining when the support is needed.Furthermore,if the support capacity can be consumed,it can also be restored by means of preventive support maintenance(PSM).The PSM concept for cost-effective ground control is introduced and illustrated by quantitative and operational evidence.Contrary to other design approaches, the deformation-based support design(DBSD)approach provides the capacity of an integrated support system as a function of imposed displacements.Reduction in this support capacity due to mininginduced deformation renders excavations increasingly more vulnerable if located within the influence of active mining and seismic activity.Because deformation measurements are robust indicators of the decay in support capacity, scanning and other displacement monitoring technologies enable measurements to verify the DBSD approach,to assess the remnant safety margin of the deformed support, and to make operational support maintenance decisions.

文摘Accurately estimating the State of Health(SOH)and Remaining Useful Life(RUL)of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is crucial for the continuous and stable operation of battery management systems. However, due to the complex internal chemical systems of LIBs and the nonlinear degradation of their performance, direct measurement of SOH and RUL is challenging. To address these issues, the Twin Support Vector Machine(TWSVM)method is proposed to predict SOH and RUL.Initially, the constant current charging time of the lithium battery is extracted as a health indicator(HI),decomposed using Variational Modal Decomposition(VMD),and feature correlations are computed using Importance of Random Forest Features(RF)to maximize the extraction of critical factors influencing battery performance degradation.Furthermore,to enhance the global search capability of the Convolution Optimization Algorithm(COA),improvements are made using Good Point Set theory and the Differential Evolution method. The Improved Convolution Optimization Algorithm(ICOA)is employed to optimize TWSVM parameters for constructing SOH and RUL prediction models. Finally, the proposed models are validated using NASA and CALCE lithium-ion battery datasets.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed models achieve an RMSE not exceeding 0.007 and an MAPE not exceeding 0.0082 for SOH and RUL prediction, with a relative error in RUL prediction within the range of[-1.8%,2%].Compared to other models, the proposed model not only exhibits superior fitting capability but also demonstrates robust performance.

文摘Rockbursts, which mainly affect mining roadways, are dynamic disasters arising from the surrounding rock under high stress. The design criterion of supports is determined by the intersection between the convergence curve of the surrounding rock and the squeezing deformation curve of the support devices.
文摘BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma ranks among the most prevalent malignant neoplasms.Surgical intervention constitutes a critical therapeutic approach for this condition.Nonetheless, postoperative recovery is frequently influenced by the patient's nutritional status and the quality of nursing care provided.AIM To examine the comprehensive impact of personalized nutritional support and nursing strategies on the postoperative rehabilitation of patients with liver cancer.METHODS In this study,a retrospective comparative analysis was conducted involving 60 post-operative liver cancer patients. The subjects were selected as subjects and divided into two groups based on differing nursing interventions, with each group comprising 30 patients. The control group received standard nutritional support and care, whereas the experimental group received individualized nutritional support and nursing strategies. The study aimed to evaluate the impact of individualized nutrition by comparing the rehabilitation indices, nutritional status, quality of life(QoL),and complication rates between the two groups.RESULTS The results showed that the recovery index of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group 2 weeks after surgery, and the average liver function recovery index of the experimental group was 85.significantly higher than that of the control group(73.67±7.19).In terms of nutritional status, the serum albumin level and body weight stabilization rate of the experimental group were also significantly higher than those of the control group, which were 42.33±2.4 g/L and 93.3%,respectively,compared with 36.01±3.85 g/L and 76.7%of the control group. In addition, the average QoL score of the experimental group was 84.66±3.7 points, which was significantly higher than that of the control group(70.92±4.28 points). At the psychological level, the average anxiety score of the experimental group was 1.17±0.29,and the average depression score was 1.47±0.4,which were significantly lower than the 2.26±0.42 and 2.57±0.45 of the control group. This showed that patients in the experimental group were better relieved of anxiety and depression under the individualized nutrition support and nursing strategy.More importantly, the complication rate in the experimental group was only 10%,much lower than the 33.3%in the control group.CONCLUSION Personalized nutritional support and tailored nursing strategies significantly enhance the postoperative rehabilitation of liver cancer patients.Consequently,it is recommended to implement and advocate for these individualized approaches to improve both the recovery outcomes and QoL for these patients.

文摘Structural regulation of Pd-based electrocatalytic hydrodechlorination(EHDC)catalyst for constructing high-efficient cathode materials with low noble metal content and high atom utilization is crucial but still challenging.Herein,a support electron inductive effect of Pd-Mn/Ni foam catalyst was proposed via in-situ Mn doping to optimize the electronic structure of the Ni foam(NF),which can inductive regulation of Pd for improving the EHDC performance. The mass activity and current efficiency of Pd-Mn/NF catalyst are 2.91 and 1.34 times superior to that of Pd/NF with 2,4-dichlorophenol as model compound, respectively. The Mn-doped interlayer optimized the electronic structure of Pd by bringing the d-state closer to the Fermi level than Pd on the NF surface, which optimizied the binding of EHDC intermediates.Additionally, the Mn-doped interlayer acted as a promoter for generating H∗and accelerating the EHDC reaction. This work presents a simple and effective regulation strategy for constructing high-efficient cathode catalyst for the EHDC of chlorinated organic compounds.
