Background Evidence on the effects of different exercise interventions on cognitive function is insufficient.Aims To evaluate the feasibility and effects of remotely supervised aerobic exercise(AE)and resistance exerc...Background Evidence on the effects of different exercise interventions on cognitive function is insufficient.Aims To evaluate the feasibility and effects of remotely supervised aerobic exercise(AE)and resistance exercise(RE)interventions in older adults with mild cognitive impairment(MCI).Methods This study is a 6-month pilot three-arm randomised controlled trial.Eligible participants(n=108)were recruited and randomised to the AE group,RE group or control(CON)group with a 1:1:1 ratio.Interventions were delivered at home with remote supervision.We evaluated participants’global cognition,memory,executive function,attention,physical activity levels,physical performance and muscle strength of limbs at baseline,3 months(T1)and 6 months(T2)after randomisation.A linear mixed-effects model was adopted for data analyses after controlling for covariates.Tukey’s method was used for adjusting for multiple comparisons.Sensitivity analyses were performed after excluding individuals with low compliance rates.Results 15(13.89%)participants dropped out.The median compliance rates in the AE group and RE group were 67.31%and 93.27%,respectively.After adjusting for covariates,the scores of the Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale-Cognitive subscale in the AE group decreased by 2.04(95%confidence interval(CI)−3.41 to−0.67,t=−2.94,p=0.004)and 1.53(95%CI−2.88 to−0.17,t=−2.22,p=0.028)points more than those in the CON group at T1 and T2,respectively.The effects of AE were still significant at T1(estimate=−1.70,95%CI−3.20 to−0.21,t=−2.69,p=0.021),but lost statistical significance at T2 after adjusting for multiple comparisons.As for executive function,the Stroop time interference in the RE group decreased by 11.76 s(95%CI−21.62 to−1.90,t=−2.81,p=0.015)more than that in the AE group at T2 after Tukey’s adjustment.No other significant effects on cognitive functions were found.Conclusions Both remotely supervised AE and RE programmes are feasible in older adults with MCI.AE has positive effects on global cognition,and RE improves executive function.展开更多

Stochastic resonance can utilize the energy of noise to enhance weak frequency characteristic.This paper proposes an adaptive multi-stable stochastic resonance method assisted by the neural network(NN)and physics supe...Stochastic resonance can utilize the energy of noise to enhance weak frequency characteristic.This paper proposes an adaptive multi-stable stochastic resonance method assisted by the neural network(NN)and physics supervision(directly numerical simulation of the physical system).Different from traditional adaptive algorithm,the evaluation of the objective function(i.e.,fitness function)in iteration process of adaptive algorithm is through a trained neural network instead of the numerical simulation.It will bring a dramatically reduction in computation time.Considering predictive bias from the neural network,a secondary correction procedure is introduced to the reevaluate the top performers and then resort them in iteration process through physics supervision.Though it may increase the computing cost,the accuracy will be enhanced.Two examples are given to illustrate the proposed method.For a classical multi-stable stochastic resonance system,the results show that the proposed method not only amplifies weak signals effectively but also significantly reduces computing time.For the detection of weak signal from outer ring in bearings,by introducing a variable scale coefficient,the proposed method can also give a satisfactory result,and the characteristic frequency of the fault signal can be extracted correctly.展开更多

Background Zonal application maps are designed to represent field variability using key variables that can be translated into tailored management practices.For cotton,zonal maps for crop growth regulator(CGR)applicati...Background Zonal application maps are designed to represent field variability using key variables that can be translated into tailored management practices.For cotton,zonal maps for crop growth regulator(CGR)applications under variable-rate(VR)strategies are commonly based exclusively on vegetation indices(VIs)variability.However,VIs often saturate in dense crop vegetation areas,limiting their effectiveness in distinguishing variability in crop growth.This study aimed to compare unsupervised framework(UF)and supervised framework(SUF)approaches for generat-ing zonal application maps for CGR under VR conditions.During 2022-2023 agricultural seasons,an UF was employed to generate zonal maps based on locally collected field data on plant height of cotton,satellite imagery,soil texture,and phenology data.Subsequently,a SUF(based on historical data between 2020-2021 to 2022-2023 agricultural seasons)was developed to predict plant height using remote sensing and phenology data,aiming to replicate same zonal maps but without relying on direct field measurements of plant height.Both approaches were tested in three fields and on two different dates per field.Results The predictive model for plant height of SUF performed well,as indicated by the model metrics.However,when comparing zonal application maps for specific field-date combinations,the predicted plant height exhibited lower variability compared with field measurements.This led to variable compatibility between SUF maps,which utilized the model predictions,and the UF maps,which were based on the real field data.Fields characterized by much pronounced soil texture variability yielded the highest compatibility between the zonal application maps produced by both SUF and UF approaches.This was predominantly due to the greater consistency in estimating plant development patterns within these heterogeneous field environments.While VR application approach can facilitate product savings during the application operation,other key factors must be considered.These include the availability of specialized machinery required for this type of applications,as well as the inherent operational costs associated with applying a single CGR product which differs from the typical uniform rate applications that often integrate multi-ple inputs.Conclusion Predictive modeling shows promise for assisting in the creation of zonal application maps for VR of CGR applications.However,the degree of agreement with the actual variability in crop growth found in the field should be evaluated on a field-by-field basis.The SUF approach,which is based on plant heigh prediction,demonstrated potential for supporting the development of zonal application maps for VR of CGR applications.However,the degree to which this approach aligns itself with the actual variability in crop growth observed in the field may vary,necessi-tating field-by-field evaluation.展开更多
Patients in intensive care units(ICUs)require rapid critical decision making.Modern ICUs are data rich,where information streams from diverse sources.Machine learning(ML)and neural networks(NN)can leverage the rich da...Patients in intensive care units(ICUs)require rapid critical decision making.Modern ICUs are data rich,where information streams from diverse sources.Machine learning(ML)and neural networks(NN)can leverage the rich data for prognostication and clinical care.They can handle complex nonlinear relation-ships in medical data and have advantages over traditional predictive methods.A number of models are used:(1)Feedforward networks;and(2)Recurrent NN and convolutional NN to predict key outcomes such as mortality,length of stay in the ICU and the likelihood of complications.Current NN models exist in silos;their integration into clinical workflow requires greater transparency on data that are analyzed.Most models that are accurate enough for use in clinical care operate as‘black-boxes’in which the logic behind their decision making is opaque.Advan-ces have occurred to see through the opacity and peer into the processing of the black-box.In the near future ML is positioned to help in clinical decision making far beyond what is currently possible.Transparency is the first step toward vali-dation which is followed by clinical trust and adoption.In summary,NNs have the transformative ability to enhance predictive accuracy and improve patient management in ICUs.The concept should soon be turning into reality.展开更多
The emergence of Artificial Intelligence(AI)continues to disrupt the traditionally established processes in higher education institutions,including thesis supervision.While the challenges and benefits of AI use in aca...The emergence of Artificial Intelligence(AI)continues to disrupt the traditionally established processes in higher education institutions,including thesis supervision.While the challenges and benefits of AI use in academic contexts have been well documented,a knowledge gap exists in our understanding of how AI has changed students’approach to thesis writing and supervisor feedback.This study contributes to the knowledge of the AI-motivated issues in thesis supervision with insights from in-depth interviews with eight EFL thesis students at an English-medium-instruction university with a compulsory thesis component.Findings suggest that the traditional expectations of thesis supervision have changed due to AI use.As lower-order issues can be addressed with AI,students now expect content and research process-related guidance.While AI poses considerable challenges due to interaction patterns,information relevance,and accuracy,students are learning to successfully navigate these challenges while taking full advantage of editing and language instruction functions that AI provides,thus significantly reducing their and their supervisors’workload and logistics.Since these skills take time to develop,universities are advised to actively incorporate AI instruction in the Writing Center operations.Further suggestions on AI integration in the supervision process are provided.展开更多

Laser speckle contrast imaging(LSCI)is a noninvasive,label-free technique that allows real-time investigation of the microcirculation situation of biological tissue.High-quality microvascular segmentation is critical ...Laser speckle contrast imaging(LSCI)is a noninvasive,label-free technique that allows real-time investigation of the microcirculation situation of biological tissue.High-quality microvascular segmentation is critical for analyzing and evaluating vascular morphology and blood flow dynamics.However,achieving high-quality vessel segmentation has always been a challenge due to the cost and complexity of label data acquisition and the irregular vascular morphology.In addition,supervised learning methods heavily rely on high-quality labels for accurate segmentation results,which often necessitate extensive labeling efforts.Here,we propose a novel approach LSWDP for high-performance real-time vessel segmentation that utilizes low-quality pseudo-labels for nonmatched training without relying on a substantial number of intricate labels and image pairing.Furthermore,we demonstrate that our method is more robust and effective in mitigating performance degradation than traditional segmentation approaches on diverse style data sets,even when confronted with unfamiliar data.Importantly,the dice similarity coefficient exceeded 85%in a rat experiment.Our study has the potential to efficiently segment and evaluate blood vessels in both normal and disease situations.This would greatly benefit future research in life and medicine.展开更多

Background The potential of exercise as a concurrent therapy for actively treated primary tumors has been suggested by emerging preclinical and observational studies.However,clinical trials regarding this question are...Background The potential of exercise as a concurrent therapy for actively treated primary tumors has been suggested by emerging preclinical and observational studies.However,clinical trials regarding this question are scarce.Therefore,we conducted a randomized controlled trial investigating the effects of aerobic or resistance exercise concomitant to neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT)on tumor size.Methods In the BENEFIT study(German title:Bewegung bei neoadjuvanter chemotherapie zur verbesserung der fitness),patients with breast cancer scheduled for NACT were randomly assigned to supervised resistance training(RT,n=60)or aerobic training(AT,n=60)twice weekly during NACT or to a waitlist control group(WCG,n=60).The primary outcome,“change in tumor size”,as well as the secondary clinical outcomes pathologic complete response(pCR),type of surgery(breast conserving/mastectomy),axillary lymph node dissection(ALND,yes/no),premature discontinuation of chemotherapy(yes/no),and relative dose intensity(RDI)were derived from clinical records.Due to the highly skewed distribution,the primary outcome was categorized.Multiple(ordinal)logistic regression analyses were performed.Results Overall,there was no significant difference in post-intervention tumor size between RT or AT and WCG.However,there was a significant effect modification by hormone receptor(HR)status(P_(interaction)=0.030).Among patients with HR+tumors,results suggest a beneficial effect of AT on tumor shrinkage(odds ratio(OR)=2.37,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.97‒5.78),on pCR(OR=3.21,95%CI:0.97‒10.61);and on ALND(OR=3.76,95%CI:0.78‒18.06)compared to WCG.The effects of RT were slightly less pronounced.For HR−subtypes,beneficial effects on RDI were found for AT(OR=3.71,95%CI:1.20‒11.50)and similarly for RT(OR=2.58,95%CI:0.88‒7.59).Both AT and RT had favorable effects on premature discontinuation of chemotherapy(OR(no vs.yes)=2.34,95%CI:1.10‒5.06),irrespective of tumor receptor status.Conclusion While there was no significant effect on the primary outcome in the overall group,aerobic and resistance exercise concomitant to NACT seem to beneficially affect tumor shrinkage and pCR,reduce the need for ALND among patients with HR+breast cancers,and prevent low RDI among patients with HR–breast cancers.These results warrant confirmation in further trials.展开更多
Non-technical losses(NTL)of electric power are a serious problem for electric distribution companies.The solution determines the cost,stability,reliability,and quality of the supplied electricity.The widespread use of...Non-technical losses(NTL)of electric power are a serious problem for electric distribution companies.The solution determines the cost,stability,reliability,and quality of the supplied electricity.The widespread use of advanced metering infrastructure(AMI)and Smart Grid allows all participants in the distribution grid to store and track electricity consumption.During the research,a machine learning model is developed that allows analyzing and predicting the probability of NTL for each consumer of the distribution grid based on daily electricity consumption readings.This model is an ensemble meta-algorithm(stacking)that generalizes the algorithms of random forest,LightGBM,and a homogeneous ensemble of artificial neural networks.The best accuracy of the proposed meta-algorithm in comparison to basic classifiers is experimentally confirmed on the test sample.Such a model,due to good accuracy indicators(ROC-AUC-0.88),can be used as a methodological basis for a decision support system,the purpose of which is to form a sample of suspected NTL sources.The use of such a sample will allow the top management of electric distribution companies to increase the efficiency of raids by performers,making them targeted and accurate,which should contribute to the fight against NTL and the sustainable development of the electric power industry.展开更多
The study examined work engagement and coping strategies in the relationship between abusive supervision and helping behaviors among hospitality employees.Participants were 386 frontline hospitality employees(50.8%fem...The study examined work engagement and coping strategies in the relationship between abusive supervision and helping behaviors among hospitality employees.Participants were 386 frontline hospitality employees(50.8%females;38.9%with 1–5 years of experience;78.3%in the 18–40 age range).They self-reported coping strategies,abusive supervision,work engagement,and helping behaviors.Structural equation model results showed that abusive supervision to be associated with lower employee helping behaviors.Work engagement was higher with employees’helping behaviors.Engaged employees would unleash helping behaviors.Work engagement mediated the relationship between abusive supervision and helping behaviors,lowering the abusive supervision risk.Finally,avoidance of contact exacerbated the moderated abusive supervision–work engagement relationship for lower work engagement,while support-seeking and reframing exerted no moderation role.Findings suggest that avoiding an immediate supervisor exacerbates abusive supervision.Hence,applying behavior-based interviews when hiring supervisors would be of strategic advantage to employees’productivity.展开更多

文摘Background Evidence on the effects of different exercise interventions on cognitive function is insufficient.Aims To evaluate the feasibility and effects of remotely supervised aerobic exercise(AE)and resistance exercise(RE)interventions in older adults with mild cognitive impairment(MCI).Methods This study is a 6-month pilot three-arm randomised controlled trial.Eligible participants(n=108)were recruited and randomised to the AE group,RE group or control(CON)group with a 1:1:1 ratio.Interventions were delivered at home with remote supervision.We evaluated participants’global cognition,memory,executive function,attention,physical activity levels,physical performance and muscle strength of limbs at baseline,3 months(T1)and 6 months(T2)after randomisation.A linear mixed-effects model was adopted for data analyses after controlling for covariates.Tukey’s method was used for adjusting for multiple comparisons.Sensitivity analyses were performed after excluding individuals with low compliance rates.Results 15(13.89%)participants dropped out.The median compliance rates in the AE group and RE group were 67.31%and 93.27%,respectively.After adjusting for covariates,the scores of the Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale-Cognitive subscale in the AE group decreased by 2.04(95%confidence interval(CI)−3.41 to−0.67,t=−2.94,p=0.004)and 1.53(95%CI−2.88 to−0.17,t=−2.22,p=0.028)points more than those in the CON group at T1 and T2,respectively.The effects of AE were still significant at T1(estimate=−1.70,95%CI−3.20 to−0.21,t=−2.69,p=0.021),but lost statistical significance at T2 after adjusting for multiple comparisons.As for executive function,the Stroop time interference in the RE group decreased by 11.76 s(95%CI−21.62 to−1.90,t=−2.81,p=0.015)more than that in the AE group at T2 after Tukey’s adjustment.No other significant effects on cognitive functions were found.Conclusions Both remotely supervised AE and RE programmes are feasible in older adults with MCI.AE has positive effects on global cognition,and RE improves executive function.

文摘Teaching quality is the core guarantee for universities to achieve their talent cultivation goals,and teaching supervision,as an important means of monitoring teaching quality,runs through the entire process of teaching management.Based on the teaching quality report of School A at University Z for the autumn semester of 2024,this paper systematically analyzes the current situation,problems,and causes of the teaching supervision mechanism through multi-dimensional data analysis of expert classroom observation,peer evaluation,and classroom feedback.On this basis,combined with the application prospects of artificial intelligence technology,it proposes paths to optimize the teaching supervision mechanism,including improving the classroom observation feedback mechanism,increasing supervision coverage,and strengthening the linkage between feedback and teaching reform,providing practical experience and theoretical support for improving teaching quality in universities.
文摘Stochastic resonance can utilize the energy of noise to enhance weak frequency characteristic.This paper proposes an adaptive multi-stable stochastic resonance method assisted by the neural network(NN)and physics supervision(directly numerical simulation of the physical system).Different from traditional adaptive algorithm,the evaluation of the objective function(i.e.,fitness function)in iteration process of adaptive algorithm is through a trained neural network instead of the numerical simulation.It will bring a dramatically reduction in computation time.Considering predictive bias from the neural network,a secondary correction procedure is introduced to the reevaluate the top performers and then resort them in iteration process through physics supervision.Though it may increase the computing cost,the accuracy will be enhanced.Two examples are given to illustrate the proposed method.For a classical multi-stable stochastic resonance system,the results show that the proposed method not only amplifies weak signals effectively but also significantly reduces computing time.For the detection of weak signal from outer ring in bearings,by introducing a variable scale coefficient,the proposed method can also give a satisfactory result,and the characteristic frequency of the fault signal can be extracted correctly.
文摘Starting from the issues related to the construction and management of customs supervision places for railway and water transportation,this paper systematically analyzes the problems and challenges in the facility layout of customs operation places,the construction of a public platform for customs and port logistics monitoring,the utilization of information and data,and the intensity of technological innovation.Based on in-depth research,this paper attempts to propose improvement strategies and suggestions in terms of scientifically planning the layout of customs supervision places for railway and water transportation,improving the operation of the logistics monitoring public platform,developing and utilizing the information and data system,building a smart customs,and innovating the supervision mode.This aims to further optimize the customs supervision process,improve supervision efficiency and accuracy,and provide a reference for the facilitation and safe development of international trade.
文摘Drawing upon self-determination theory,this study examines the effects of vicarious abusive supervision on third-party’s self-efficacy and task performance within organizational contexts.Data were collected via surveys from 337 employees across diverse organizations.The results indicate that vicarious abusive supervision significantly undermines both self-efficacy and task performance among employees who are indirectly exposed to such behavior but not directly targeted.Furthermore,self-efficacy serves as a mediator between vicarious abusive supervision and task performance;however,this mediating effect is attenuated for employees with a high promotion focus.These findings provide valuable theoretical and practical insights,particularly in the domain of organizational behavior,by emphasizing the critical role of promotion focus in mitigating the negative effects of vicarious abusive supervision.This research contributes to the organizational behavior literature by shifting the focus from the traditional supervisor-subordinate dynamic to a third-party perspective,thereby enriching our understanding of how vicarious abusive supervision impacts employees within organizational settings.The study underscores the importance of self-efficacy and promotion focus as key factors in unethical leadership contexts.

文摘Background Zonal application maps are designed to represent field variability using key variables that can be translated into tailored management practices.For cotton,zonal maps for crop growth regulator(CGR)applications under variable-rate(VR)strategies are commonly based exclusively on vegetation indices(VIs)variability.However,VIs often saturate in dense crop vegetation areas,limiting their effectiveness in distinguishing variability in crop growth.This study aimed to compare unsupervised framework(UF)and supervised framework(SUF)approaches for generat-ing zonal application maps for CGR under VR conditions.During 2022-2023 agricultural seasons,an UF was employed to generate zonal maps based on locally collected field data on plant height of cotton,satellite imagery,soil texture,and phenology data.Subsequently,a SUF(based on historical data between 2020-2021 to 2022-2023 agricultural seasons)was developed to predict plant height using remote sensing and phenology data,aiming to replicate same zonal maps but without relying on direct field measurements of plant height.Both approaches were tested in three fields and on two different dates per field.Results The predictive model for plant height of SUF performed well,as indicated by the model metrics.However,when comparing zonal application maps for specific field-date combinations,the predicted plant height exhibited lower variability compared with field measurements.This led to variable compatibility between SUF maps,which utilized the model predictions,and the UF maps,which were based on the real field data.Fields characterized by much pronounced soil texture variability yielded the highest compatibility between the zonal application maps produced by both SUF and UF approaches.This was predominantly due to the greater consistency in estimating plant development patterns within these heterogeneous field environments.While VR application approach can facilitate product savings during the application operation,other key factors must be considered.These include the availability of specialized machinery required for this type of applications,as well as the inherent operational costs associated with applying a single CGR product which differs from the typical uniform rate applications that often integrate multi-ple inputs.Conclusion Predictive modeling shows promise for assisting in the creation of zonal application maps for VR of CGR applications.However,the degree of agreement with the actual variability in crop growth found in the field should be evaluated on a field-by-field basis.The SUF approach,which is based on plant heigh prediction,demonstrated potential for supporting the development of zonal application maps for VR of CGR applications.However,the degree to which this approach aligns itself with the actual variability in crop growth observed in the field may vary,necessi-tating field-by-field evaluation.
文摘Patients in intensive care units(ICUs)require rapid critical decision making.Modern ICUs are data rich,where information streams from diverse sources.Machine learning(ML)and neural networks(NN)can leverage the rich data for prognostication and clinical care.They can handle complex nonlinear relation-ships in medical data and have advantages over traditional predictive methods.A number of models are used:(1)Feedforward networks;and(2)Recurrent NN and convolutional NN to predict key outcomes such as mortality,length of stay in the ICU and the likelihood of complications.Current NN models exist in silos;their integration into clinical workflow requires greater transparency on data that are analyzed.Most models that are accurate enough for use in clinical care operate as‘black-boxes’in which the logic behind their decision making is opaque.Advan-ces have occurred to see through the opacity and peer into the processing of the black-box.In the near future ML is positioned to help in clinical decision making far beyond what is currently possible.Transparency is the first step toward vali-dation which is followed by clinical trust and adoption.In summary,NNs have the transformative ability to enhance predictive accuracy and improve patient management in ICUs.The concept should soon be turning into reality.
文摘The emergence of Artificial Intelligence(AI)continues to disrupt the traditionally established processes in higher education institutions,including thesis supervision.While the challenges and benefits of AI use in academic contexts have been well documented,a knowledge gap exists in our understanding of how AI has changed students’approach to thesis writing and supervisor feedback.This study contributes to the knowledge of the AI-motivated issues in thesis supervision with insights from in-depth interviews with eight EFL thesis students at an English-medium-instruction university with a compulsory thesis component.Findings suggest that the traditional expectations of thesis supervision have changed due to AI use.As lower-order issues can be addressed with AI,students now expect content and research process-related guidance.While AI poses considerable challenges due to interaction patterns,information relevance,and accuracy,students are learning to successfully navigate these challenges while taking full advantage of editing and language instruction functions that AI provides,thus significantly reducing their and their supervisors’workload and logistics.Since these skills take time to develop,universities are advised to actively incorporate AI instruction in the Writing Center operations.Further suggestions on AI integration in the supervision process are provided.

文摘Laser speckle contrast imaging(LSCI)is a noninvasive,label-free technique that allows real-time investigation of the microcirculation situation of biological tissue.High-quality microvascular segmentation is critical for analyzing and evaluating vascular morphology and blood flow dynamics.However,achieving high-quality vessel segmentation has always been a challenge due to the cost and complexity of label data acquisition and the irregular vascular morphology.In addition,supervised learning methods heavily rely on high-quality labels for accurate segmentation results,which often necessitate extensive labeling efforts.Here,we propose a novel approach LSWDP for high-performance real-time vessel segmentation that utilizes low-quality pseudo-labels for nonmatched training without relying on a substantial number of intricate labels and image pairing.Furthermore,we demonstrate that our method is more robust and effective in mitigating performance degradation than traditional segmentation approaches on diverse style data sets,even when confronted with unfamiliar data.Importantly,the dice similarity coefficient exceeded 85%in a rat experiment.Our study has the potential to efficiently segment and evaluate blood vessels in both normal and disease situations.This would greatly benefit future research in life and medicine.

文摘Background The potential of exercise as a concurrent therapy for actively treated primary tumors has been suggested by emerging preclinical and observational studies.However,clinical trials regarding this question are scarce.Therefore,we conducted a randomized controlled trial investigating the effects of aerobic or resistance exercise concomitant to neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT)on tumor size.Methods In the BENEFIT study(German title:Bewegung bei neoadjuvanter chemotherapie zur verbesserung der fitness),patients with breast cancer scheduled for NACT were randomly assigned to supervised resistance training(RT,n=60)or aerobic training(AT,n=60)twice weekly during NACT or to a waitlist control group(WCG,n=60).The primary outcome,“change in tumor size”,as well as the secondary clinical outcomes pathologic complete response(pCR),type of surgery(breast conserving/mastectomy),axillary lymph node dissection(ALND,yes/no),premature discontinuation of chemotherapy(yes/no),and relative dose intensity(RDI)were derived from clinical records.Due to the highly skewed distribution,the primary outcome was categorized.Multiple(ordinal)logistic regression analyses were performed.Results Overall,there was no significant difference in post-intervention tumor size between RT or AT and WCG.However,there was a significant effect modification by hormone receptor(HR)status(P_(interaction)=0.030).Among patients with HR+tumors,results suggest a beneficial effect of AT on tumor shrinkage(odds ratio(OR)=2.37,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.97‒5.78),on pCR(OR=3.21,95%CI:0.97‒10.61);and on ALND(OR=3.76,95%CI:0.78‒18.06)compared to WCG.The effects of RT were slightly less pronounced.For HR−subtypes,beneficial effects on RDI were found for AT(OR=3.71,95%CI:1.20‒11.50)and similarly for RT(OR=2.58,95%CI:0.88‒7.59).Both AT and RT had favorable effects on premature discontinuation of chemotherapy(OR(no vs.yes)=2.34,95%CI:1.10‒5.06),irrespective of tumor receptor status.Conclusion While there was no significant effect on the primary outcome in the overall group,aerobic and resistance exercise concomitant to NACT seem to beneficially affect tumor shrinkage and pCR,reduce the need for ALND among patients with HR+breast cancers,and prevent low RDI among patients with HR–breast cancers.These results warrant confirmation in further trials.
文摘Non-technical losses(NTL)of electric power are a serious problem for electric distribution companies.The solution determines the cost,stability,reliability,and quality of the supplied electricity.The widespread use of advanced metering infrastructure(AMI)and Smart Grid allows all participants in the distribution grid to store and track electricity consumption.During the research,a machine learning model is developed that allows analyzing and predicting the probability of NTL for each consumer of the distribution grid based on daily electricity consumption readings.This model is an ensemble meta-algorithm(stacking)that generalizes the algorithms of random forest,LightGBM,and a homogeneous ensemble of artificial neural networks.The best accuracy of the proposed meta-algorithm in comparison to basic classifiers is experimentally confirmed on the test sample.Such a model,due to good accuracy indicators(ROC-AUC-0.88),can be used as a methodological basis for a decision support system,the purpose of which is to form a sample of suspected NTL sources.The use of such a sample will allow the top management of electric distribution companies to increase the efficiency of raids by performers,making them targeted and accurate,which should contribute to the fight against NTL and the sustainable development of the electric power industry.
文摘The study examined work engagement and coping strategies in the relationship between abusive supervision and helping behaviors among hospitality employees.Participants were 386 frontline hospitality employees(50.8%females;38.9%with 1–5 years of experience;78.3%in the 18–40 age range).They self-reported coping strategies,abusive supervision,work engagement,and helping behaviors.Structural equation model results showed that abusive supervision to be associated with lower employee helping behaviors.Work engagement was higher with employees’helping behaviors.Engaged employees would unleash helping behaviors.Work engagement mediated the relationship between abusive supervision and helping behaviors,lowering the abusive supervision risk.Finally,avoidance of contact exacerbated the moderated abusive supervision–work engagement relationship for lower work engagement,while support-seeking and reframing exerted no moderation role.Findings suggest that avoiding an immediate supervisor exacerbates abusive supervision.Hence,applying behavior-based interviews when hiring supervisors would be of strategic advantage to employees’productivity.
