In order to maintain vibration performances within the limits of the design, a vibration-based feature extraction method for dynamic characteristic using empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and wavelet analysis was proposed. The proposed method was verified experimentally and numerically by implementing the scheme on engine block. In the implementation process, the following steps were identified to be important: 1) EMD technique in order to solve the feature extraction of vibration signals; 2) Vibration measurement for the purpose of confirming the structural weak regions of engine block in experiment; 3) Finite element modeling for the purpose of determining dynamic characteristic in time region and frequency region to affirm the comparability of response character corresponding to improvement schemes; 4) Adopting a feature index oflMF for structural improvement based on EMD and wavelet analysis. The obtained results show that IMF of signal is more sensitive to response character corresponding to improvement schemes. Finally, examination of the results confirms that the proposed vibration-based feature extraction method is very robust, and focuses on the relative merits of modification and full-scale structural optimization of engine, together with the creation of new low-vibration designs. 展开更多

Due to the small size,variety,and high degree of mixing of herbaceous vegetation,remote sensing-based identification of grassland types primarily focuses on extracting major grassland categories,lacking detailed depiction.This limitation significantly hampers the development of effective evaluation and fine supervision for the rational utilization of grassland resources.To address this issue,this study concentrates on the representative grassland of Zhenglan Banner in Inner Mongolia as the study area.It integrates the strengths of Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 active-passive synergistic observations and introduces innovative object-oriented techniques for grassland type classification,thereby enhancing the accuracy and refinement of grassland classification.The results demonstrate the following:(1)To meet the supervision requirements of grassland resources,we propose a grassland type classification system based on remote sensing and the vegetation-habitat classification method,specifically applicable to natural grasslands in northern China.(2)By utilizing the high-spatial-resolution Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)synthesized through the Spatial and Temporal Non-Local Filter-based Fusion Model(STNLFFM),we are able to capture the NDVI time profiles of grassland types,accurately extract vegetation phenological information within the year,and further enhance the temporal resolution.(3)The integration of multi-seasonal spectral,polarization,and phenological characteristics significantly improves the classification accuracy of grassland types.The overall accuracy reaches 82.61%,with a kappa coefficient of 0.79.Compared to using only multi-seasonal spectral features,the accuracy and kappa coefficient have improved by 15.94%and 0.19,respectively.Notably,the accuracy improvement of the gently sloping steppe is the highest,exceeding 38%.(4)Sandy grassland is the most widespread in the study area,and the growth season of grassland vegetation mainly occurs from May to September.The sandy meadow exhibits a longer growing season compared with typical grassland and meadow,and the distinct differences in phenological characteristics contribute to the accurate identification of various grassland types. 展开更多

It is revealed that there is a kind of abrupt nonlinear characteristic behaviour, which relates to rapid onset and intermittency of El Nino events, on the second order slow time scale due to the nonlinear interaction between a linear unstable low-frequency primary eigen component of ocean-atmosphere coupled Kelvin wave and its higher order harmonic components under a strong ocean-atmosphere coupling background. And, on the other hand, there is a kind of finite amplitude nonlinear characteristic behaviour on the second order slow time scale due to the nonlinear interaction between the linear unstable primary eigen component and its higher order harmonic components under a weak ocean-atmosphere coupling background in this model system. 展开更多

Plasma spark sources are widely used in high-resolution seismic exploration.However,research on the excitation mechanism and propagation characteristics of plasma spark sources is very limited.In this study,we elaborated on the excitation process of corona discharge plasma spark source based on indoor experimental data.The electrode spacing has a direct impact on the movement of bubbles.As the spacing between bubbles decreases,they collapsed and fused,thereby suppressing the secondary pulse process.Based on the premise of linear arrangement and equal energy synchronous excitation,the motion equation of multiple bubbles under these conditions was derived,and a calculation method for the near-field wavelet model of plasma spark source was established.We simulated the source signals received in different directions and constructed a spatial wavelet face spectrum.Compared with traditional far-field wavelets,the spatial wavelet facial feature representation method provides a more comprehensive display of the variation characteristics and propagation properties of source wavelets in three-dimensional space.The spatial wavelet variation process of the plasma spark source was analyzed,and the source depth and the virtual reflection path are the main factors affecting the wavelet.The high-frequency properties of plasma electric spark source wavelets lead to their sensitivity to factors such as wave fluctuations,position changes,and environmental noise.Minor changes in collection parameters may result in significant changes in the recorded waveform and final data resolution.So,the facial feature method provides more effective technical support for wavelet evaluation. 展开更多

Based on the 3 D seismic structure interpretation of Bohai Sea, combined with physical modeling of structure, structural style analysis and apatite fission track simulation, the structural characteristics and genetic mechanism of the Cenozoic strike-slip faults in Bohai Sea were investigated. The results show that Tanlu strike-slip fault experienced three stages of strike-slip activities in the Cenozoic,and the transition from left-lateral strike to right-lateral strike-slip was completed at the end of the fourth member of the Shahejie Formation. The strike-slip faults in the Bohai Sea have the characteristics of multi-stage and multi-strength stress superposition. According to the superimposed forms of different strengths, different properties and different ratios, they can be divided into three major genetic types,extension and strike-slip superimposition, extension and extrusion superimposition, extrusion and strike-slip superimposition, and fifteen typical structure patterns. Affected by multiple changes in the direction and rate of subduction of the Cenozoic Pacific plate, the difference between the Cenozoic extension and the strike-slip in the Bohai Sea area leads to the diversity of the fault system and the zoning of the depression structure. According to superimposition features of faults, the Bohai Sea area can be divided into the Liaoxi S-type weak strike-slip zone, Liaodong braided strong strike-slip zone, Boxi conjugated medium strike-slip zone, Bodong brush structure medium strike-slip zone and Bonan parallel strong strike-slip zone. Acoustic emission tests were performed using a split Hopkinson pressure bar system(SHPB) on 50-mm-diameter bars of granite, limestone, sandstone and skarn. The results show that the amplitude distribution of hits is not well centralized around 50 d B, and that some hits with large amplitudes, usually larger than 70 d B, occur in the early stages of each test, which is different from the findings from static and low-loading-rate tests. Furthermore, the dominant frequency range of the recorded acoustic emission waveforms is between 300 k Hz and 500 k Hz, and frequency components higher than 500 k Hz are not significant. The hit with the largest values of amplitude, counts, signal strength, and absolute energy in each test, displays a waveform with similar frequency characteristics and greater correlation with the waveform obtained from the elastic input bar of the split Hopkinson pressure bar system compared with the waveforms of the other hits. This indicates that the hit with the largest values of amplitude, counts, signal strength, and absolute energy is generated by elastic wave propagation instead of fracture within the rock specimen. 展开更多

Before occurrence of M S6.0 earthquakes the energy is released either in a continuously strengthened way or a sharply strengthened way, and before M S5.0 earthquakes the sequence frequency shows calm. The study on the focal mechanism solution of the strong earthquake swarm shows that the source faults are mainly in a right lateral, strike slip way and the faults have characteristics of tensor shear. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Endoscopy has rapidly developed in recent years and has enabled further investigation into the origin and features of intestinal tumors.The small size and concealed position of these tumors make it difficult to distinguish them from nonneoplastic polyps and carcinoma in adenoma(CIA).The invasive depth and metastatic potential determine the operation regimen,which in turn affects the overall survival and distant prognosis.The previous studies have confirmed the malignant features and clinicopathological features of de novo colorectal cancer(CRC).AIM To provide assistance for diagnosis and treatment,but the lack of a summary of endoscopic features and assessment of risk factors that differ from the CIA prompted us to conduct this retrospective study.METHODS In total,167 patients with small-sized CRCs diagnosed by endoscopy were reviewed.The patients diagnosed as advanced CRCs and other malignant cancers or chronic diseases that could affect distant outcomes were excluded.After screening,63 cases were excluded,including 33 de novo and 30 CIA cases.Patient information,including their follow-up information,was obtained from an electronic His-system.The characteristics between two group and risk factors for invasion depth were analyzed with SPSS 25.0 software.RESULTS Nearly half of the de novo CRCs were smaller than 1 cm(n=16,48.5%)and the majority were located in the distal colon(n=26,78.8%).The IIc type was the most common macroscopic type of de novo CRC.In a Pearson analysis,the differential degree,Sano,JNET,and Kudo types,surrounding mucosa,and chicken skin mucosa(CSM)were correlated with the invasion depth(P<0.001).CSM was a significant risk factor for deep invasion and disturbed judgment of endoscopic ultrasound.A high degree of tumor budding and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes are accompanied by malignancy.Finally,de novo CRCs have worse outcomes than CIA CRCs.CONCLUSION This is the first comprehensive study to analyze the features of de novo CRCs to distinguish them from nonneoplastic polyps.It is also the first study paying attention to CSM invasive depth measurement.This study emphasizes the high metastatic potential of de novo CRCs and highlights the need for more research on this tumor type. 展开更多

This paper presents a method for lane boundaries detection which is not affected by the shadows, illumination and un-even road conditions. This method is based upon processing grayscale images using local gradient features, characteris-tic spectrum of lanes, and linear prediction. Firstly, points on the adjacent right and left lane are recognized using the local gradient descriptors. A simple linear prediction model is deployed to predict the direction of lane markers. The contribution of this paper is the use of vertical gradient image without converting into binary image(using suitable thre-shold), and introduction of characteristic lane gradient spectrum within the local window to locate the preciselane marking points along the horizontal scan line over the image. Experimental results show that this method has greater tolerance to shadows and low illumination conditions. A comparison is drawn between this method and recent methods reported in the literature. 展开更多

According to the characteristics of remarkable monsoon and frequent typhoon, the influences of monsoon and tropical cyclone on the hydrological features and the seasonal structure over the South China Sea are analysed by using examples. It may be considered that in the perennial summer area over the South China Sea, it is summer all the year round, but it does not remain constant throughout the year. On the basis of index dates of developing stages for winter and summer monsoons as well as the seasonal characteristics of typhoon frequency,the perennial summer season over the South China Sea may be divided into four periods, namely, early summer, midsummer, sweltering summer and late summer. Lunar landforms are the results of geological and geomorphic processes on the lunar surface.It is very important to identify the types of lunar landforms.Geomorphology is the scientific study of the origin and evolution of morphological landforms on planetary surfaces.Elevation and relief amplitude are the most commonly used geomorphic indices in geomorphological classification studies.Previous studies have determined the elevation classification criteria of the lunar surface.In this paper,we focus on the classification criteria of the topographic relief amplitude of the lunar surface.To estimate the optimal window for calculating the relief amplitude of the lunar surface,we use the mean change-point method based on LOLA(Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter)Digital Elevation Model(DEM)data and SLDEM2015 DEM data combining observations from LOLA and SELenological and Engineering Explorer Terrain Camera(SELENE TC).The classification criterion of the lunar surface relief amplitude is then determined according to the statistical analysis of basic lunar landforms.Taking the topographic relief amplitudes of 100 m,200 m,300 m,700 m,1500 m and 2500 m as thresholds,the lunar surface is divided into seven geomorphic types,including minor microrelief plains(<100 m),minor microrelief platforms[100 m,200 m),microrelief landforms[200 m,300 m),small relief landforms[300 m,700 m),medium relief landforms[700 m,1500 m),large relief landforms[1500 m,2500 m)and extremely large relief landforms(≥2500 m).The minor microrelief plains are mainly distributed in the maria and the basalt filled floors of craters and basins,while the minor microrelief platforms are mainly in the transition regions between the maria and highlands.The microrelief landforms are mainly located in regions with relatively high topography,such as wrinkle ridges and sinuous rilles in the mare.The small relief landforms are mainly scattered in the central peak and floor fractures of craters.The medium relief landforms are mainly distributed in the transition regions between crater floors and crater walls,between crater walls and crater rims,between basin floors and basin walls,and between basin walls and basin rims.Large and extremely large relief landforms are mainly found along crater walls and basin walls.The classification criteria determination for assessing lunar surface relief amplitude described in this paper can provide important references for the construction of digital lunar surface geomorphology classification schemes. 展开更多

With the increasing application of germanium(Ge)elements in modern industry,military and medical health industries,especially with the growing demand for Ge-rich agricultural products,the study of Ge-rich soil has become particularly important,but the enrichment pattern and control factors of Ge-rich soil are still not well understood due to the high dispersion and high migration of Ge-rich soil.In this paper,495 surface soil(0-20 cm)and 149 deep soil(150-200 cm)samples were collected from the northern foothills of Dabie Mountain using a double-layer grid layout,and the spatial distribution and enrichment characteristics of Ge were studied by high-resolution method,and the controlling factors affecting the distribution of Ge-rich soil was analyzed by geo-statistics and spatial analogy.The results show an average Ge content of 1.34 mg/kg for the surface and 1.36 mg/kg for the deep soil.In the assessment grade classification of surface and deep soil for Ge,the abundant and sub-abundant grades account for 37.97%and 31.70%,respectively,covering 752 km2 and 634 km2.Surface Ge-rich regions are distributed in concentrated strips in the north-central part of the studied region,and there is no clear pattern in the spatial distribution of deep soils.In the areas under study,such as Fenlukou,Dingji,and Jiangjiadian,the surface soil is very rich in Ge and has a high enrichment factor,which is valuable for agricultural development.In surface soils,river deposits and shallow metamorphic rock parent materials have the highest content of Ge,while in deep soils,the highest content has been found in the parent material of moderately acidic rock.Both surface and deep soils have the highest Ge content in purple paddy soils and plain areas.The source of Ge in the soils of the study area is most influenced by the lithology of the soil-forming parent material,while the distribution of Ge in the surface soils is jointly influenced by pH,SiO_(2),TFe_(2)O_(3),and Al_(2)O_(3) in the soil.This study has implications for understanding the enrichment pattern of Ge in soil and its controlling factors as well as for the development of Ge-rich agricultural products. 展开更多

The published data indicate that these tumors, in contrast to their midgut counterparts, metastasize in approximately half of cases irrespective of primary tumor size. Therefore, radical excision in the form of pancreaticoduodenectomy is recommended regardless of tumor size. As with other gastrointestinal carcinoid tumors, biological treatment with octreotide analogues can be applied to symptomatic patients. Tumor-targeted radioactive therapy is a newly emerging treatment option. We here report case of a carcinoid tumor of the ampulla of Vater presenting as painless jaundice in a 65-year old man and review the relevant literature, giving special attention to the mor- phologic features, clinical characteristics, and treatment modalities associated with this disease process. 展开更多

As an essential property of frozen soils,change of unfrozen water content(UWC)with temperature,namely soil-freezing characteristic curve(SFCC),plays significant roles in numerous physical,hydraulic and mechanical processes in cold regions,including the heat and water transfer within soils and at the land–atmosphere interface,frost heave and thaw settlement,as well as the simulation of coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical interactions.Although various models have been proposed to estimate SFCC,their applicability remains limited due to their derivation from specific soil types,soil treatments,and test devices.Accordingly,this study proposes a novel data-driven model to predict the SFCC using an extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost)model.A systematic database for SFCC of frozen soils compiled from extensive experimental investigations via various testing methods was utilized to train the XGBoost model.The predicted soil freezing characteristic curves(SFCC,UWC as a function of temperature)from the well-trained XGBoost model were compared with original experimental data and three conventional models.The results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed XGBoost model over the traditional models in predicting SFCC.This study provides valuable insights for future investigations regarding the SFCC of frozen soils. 展开更多

Based on some influential definitions, and achievements made in sociology and anthropology, this paper makes an attempt to summarize and discuss some characteristics of culture. With regard to the categorization of culture, we put forward the idea that it is closely related to the definition and features of culture, and also that it is closely related with human cognition and different perspectives, and thus culture category is an open system just as culture in general. Cultural development as product of human evolution and development is both a need and reality, going on through cultural transmission. In the process, it is human nature to encounter cultural conflicts like culture shock, the solution of which partially depends on cultural studies, on a close relationship with the main school of culture or dominating culture and on seeking similarities and accepting differences, and in a word, on friendly and cordial contacts and understanding through linguistic communication. 展开更多

Based on the techniques of X-ray diffraction analysis, identification of the thin sections of core cast, phys- ical analysis and scanning electron microscopy analysis, this paper studied the reservoir characteristics of the Carboniferous strata in Donghe well No.1 of Tarim region. The results show that the reservoir lithology is mainly the fine-grained quartz sandstone with ferrocalcite and pyrite, mud cement-based, the permeability concentrated in 5-40 × 10-3 μm2, a small part of the high permeability up to 150-327 ×10-3 μm2 and porosity ranged from 10% to 20%. The most part of the reservoirs is low perme- ability with a small part of the layer in moderate-high permeability. The types of reservoir space include intergranular pores, intra particle-molding pores, micro-pores and cracks, which mainly are intergranular pores with the pore diameter of 15-200 μm, 95.5μm on average. And the types of the throats are comolex with the main tvne of constricted l:hroats in this area and large contribution to the permeability. 展开更多
