Sunken Micro-Continents of the North Atlantic: Do the Sub-Basaltic Crust of the Faroe Islands and the Rockall Plateau Basement Represent One Single Micro-Continent?

Seafloor extension and associated rifting in the North Atlantic Area, which started in Early Paleogene (from −62 Ma), resulted in a few micro-continents being isolated and submerged below sea levels. Published isotopic data for sunken offshore continental materials (basement) in the North Atlantic area are quite sparse, but a few do exist for the Rockall Plateau, or more precisely the Rockall Bank. Isotopic data for Early Paleogene basaltic materials, covering basement rocks of the Rockall Plateau, have hitherto only been publicised for the NW margin of the Hatton bank. The Early Paleogene basaltic archipelago of the Faroe Islands, on which some isotopic data do exist, rests on an ancient sunken continental crust of unknown geochemical and isotopic compositions. The objective of this contribution is to assess potential lead isotopic relationships between the Rockall Plateau and the Faroese sub-basaltic basement, based on the sparse available isotopic data existing for the former and using available isotopic data for slightly contaminated Faroese basaltic rocks. The results reached in this contribution point to a likely association between the Faroese sub-basaltic basement and the basement of the Rockall Bank and hence the Rockall Plateau and potentially also between Faroese basaltic rocks and contemporaneous counterparts from the Hatton Bank. 展开更多

The sunken defects proposed in this paper is a w idth abnormity defect on the FPC trace,w hich w ould cause the latent open circuit defect and affect the electrical function of circuit. The problem of flexible deformation and w idth difference make the FPC trace detection harder. Therefore,this paper proposed a detection scheme combined w ith linear masks and circle distribution characteristic. Firstly,this scheme preprocessed the acquired FPC image,divided the trace into several sub-regions and obtained the line w idth values of each trace transverse section. Then the line w idth sequences w ere searched w ith the linear difference template of gray scale. Thus,the sunken defects alternative positions w ere located. Lastly,the circle distribution characteristic is defined to identify the real defect areas from the alternative regions acquired from the previous step. Thus,the detection of sunken defects on the FPC trace w as accomplished.The algorithm w as tested in the self-built image database,w hich show s the better detection performance than the other typical algorithms. 展开更多

Eyelid disorders and morphologies among older individuals:a cross-sectional survey in China

AIM:To investigate the prevalence and types of eyelid disorders among an elderly population in China,underscoring the significance of eyelid health for the aging demographic.METHODS:A cross-sectional epidemiological survey was conducted on 3038 individuals over the age of 50,all of whom were evaluated at the community health center.Each participant underwent routine ophthalmic examinations and eyelid morphology evaluations by an ophthalmologist.Eyelid disorders and morphology were assessed through slit-lamp examination and direct visual inspection.The study analyzed the characteristics of common eyelid disorders,including blepharoptosis,dermatochalasis,eyelid tumors,entropion,lower eyelid retraction(LER)and ectropion,as well as eyelid morphologies such as sunken and bulging eyelids.Descriptive statistics were used for demographic data,Chi-square test analyzed gender distribution differences,and logistic regression calculated odds ratios for blepharoptosis(P<0.05 considered significant).RESULTS:The study revealed that eyelid disorders were present in 1250(41%)individuals,with blepharoptosis being the most common disorder(25%),followed by severe dermatochalasis(16%),eyelid tumors(9.3%),LER and ectropion(11%),and entropion(1.2%).Sunken eyelids were more prevalent in men(26%)than in women(17%).The study found significant associations between the presence of blepharoptosis and sunken upper eyelids[P=0.01,odds ratio(OR)=1.33],as well as male gender(P=0.038,OR=1.22).Additionally,the prevalence of blepharoptosis increased with age.CONCLUSION:Eyelid disorders are highly prevalent in older people and increase steeply with age.This study highlights the need for increased awareness of eyelid health among older individuals at risk for eyelid disorders and the importance of ophthalmic examination for early diagnosis and management of these disorders. 展开更多

下沉式绿地在径流量与水质调控方面具有明显优点并得到广泛应用,但目前对其固碳能力了解不多。以南宁市那考河湿地公园为对象,采用样方调查与室内测试等方法,分析了下沉式(植草沟、雨水花园、净水梯田)与水平式(普通草坪、普通乔灌草复... 下沉式绿地在径流量与水质调控方面具有明显优点并得到广泛应用,但目前对其固碳能力了解不多。以南宁市那考河湿地公园为对象,采用样方调查与室内测试等方法,分析了下沉式(植草沟、雨水花园、净水梯田)与水平式(普通草坪、普通乔灌草复层绿地)城市绿地植被和土壤碳含量与碳储量。结果显示:(1)在乔灌草复层结构绿地中,下沉式绿地植被碳密度显著高于水平式绿地(P<0.05),雨水花园、净水梯田植被碳密度分别为2.42和1.43 kg·m^(-2),是普通乔灌草复层绿地的2.2和1.3倍;单层结构中,植草沟植被碳密度为0.15 kg·m^(-2),是普通草坪的1.2倍。(2)雨水花园、净水梯田0~20 cm土层土壤碳密度分别为5.39和2.15 kg·m^(-2),是普通乔灌草复层绿地的3.1和1.2倍;植草沟0~20 cm土层碳密度为2.40 kg·m^(-2),是普通草坪的2.5倍。(3)通过增大汇水面积汇集更多有机物和养分促进植物生长是下沉式绿地碳增汇的主要机制。本研究为深化对下沉式绿地生态系统固碳增汇效果及其机制的认知提供科学依据。 展开更多

基于多源卫星观测的矿区沉陷水体水位监测方法

东部高潜水位矿区是我国重要的矿粮复合产区,采用井工开采方式造成其地表发生不均匀沉降,形成大量小面积、破碎化的沉陷积水区,沉陷水位的动态变化严重影响着矿区的生态和生产安全。精准监测沉陷水位对于东部高潜水位矿区开展湿地生态... 东部高潜水位矿区是我国重要的矿粮复合产区,采用井工开采方式造成其地表发生不均匀沉降,形成大量小面积、破碎化的沉陷积水区,沉陷水位的动态变化严重影响着矿区的生态和生产安全。精准监测沉陷水位对于东部高潜水位矿区开展湿地生态治理和水灾风险预测等工作至关重要。为此,在现有卫星测高技术的基础上,提出了一种基于多源卫星观测的矿区破碎化沉陷水体水位监测方法。以兖州矿区为研究对象,深入分析ICESat-2(Ice,Cloud and land Elevation Satellite-2)和GEDI(Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation)卫星观测数据集之间的相关性,并建立回归模型,利用该模型对GEDI观测数据集进行校正,通过融合多源卫星的观测数据集,实现矿区沉陷水位更高密度和更高精度的监测。结果表明:①ICESat-2卫星高度计的水位监测精度更佳,可以作为评价和修正GEDI数据的基础,而GEDI在监测水体的数量方面具有更大的优势;②ICESat-2与GEDI观测数据集之间存在显著的相关性,而地表交叉观测点数量的不足对于回归关系的拟合影响较小,借助回归模型能够有效地校正GEDI卫星的水位观测数据,使其水位测量的平均误差、平均绝对误差和均方根误差与校正前相比分别降低了69.74%、56.58%、50.56%;③通过融合ICESat-2与GEDI观测数据集,在水位监测中,展现出了较高的覆盖率和监测精度,监测水体覆盖率达到总体的88.89%,水位测量的平均误差、平均绝对误差以及均方根误差分别为0.10、0.17、0.26 m。总体而言,基于多源卫星观测的矿区沉陷水体水位监测方法能够满足矿区小面积、零散分布的水体水位监测的需求,并在其他需要高密度测量的问题中也具有应用潜力。 展开更多

Aim:We investigated the clinical application of autologous chyle fat in the correction of sunken upper eyelid.Methods:From November 2020 to October 2021,89 cases of correction with autologous chyle fat to sunken upper eyelid were performed(with or without other cosmetic procedures related to the eyes).An appropriate amount of fat was extracted from the superficial layer of the patient’s thigh and processed to chyle fat.About 0.5-2.8 mL of fat was injected under the orbicularis oculi muscle(roof-retro orbicularis oculi fat)or in the area where the orbital septal fat exists from the outer orbital margin of the upper eyelid.Results:In total,59 patients were followed up for 1-11 months after surgery.No infection,necrosis,vascular embolism,upper eyelid lumpiness,fat calcification,or liquefaction occurred in all patients,while seven cases showed inadequate correction.The depression basically disappeared,the shape was relatively full,the youthfulness was greatly improved,and the satisfaction of patients was high during the follow-up period.Conclusion:The correction with autologous chyle fat to sunken upper eyelid showed little trauma,short recovery periods,and satisfactory results,and it is worthy of being popularized and applied more widely. 展开更多
