To understand the smoke level and NO_(x)emission characteristics of in-use construction machinery in Beijing,we selected 905 construction machines in Beijing from August 2022 to April 2023 to monitor the emission leve...To understand the smoke level and NO_(x)emission characteristics of in-use construction machinery in Beijing,we selected 905 construction machines in Beijing from August 2022 to April 2023 to monitor the emission level of smoke and NO_(x).The exhaust smoke level and excessive emission situation of different machinery types were identified,and their NO_(x)emission levels were monitored according to the free acceleration method.We investigated the correlation of NO_(x)and smoke emission,and proposed suggestions for controlling pollution discharge from construction machinery in the future.The results show that the exhaust smoke level was 0–2.62 m^(−1),followed a log-normal distribution(μ=-1.73,δ=1.09,R^(2)=0.99),with a 5.64%exceedance rate.Differenceswere observed amongmachinery types,with low-power engine forklifts showing higher smoke levels.The NO_(x)emission range was 71–1516 ppm,followed a normal distribution(μ=565.54,δ=309.51,R^(2)=0.83).Differences among machinery types were relatively small.Engine rated net power had the most significant impact on NO_(x)emissions.Thus,NO_(x)emissions from construction machinery need further attention.Furthermore,we found a weak negative correlation(p<0.05)between the emission level of smoke and NO_(x),that is the synergic emission reduction effect is poor,emphasizing the need for NO_(x)emission limits.In the future,the oversight in Beijing should prioritize phasing out ChinaⅠand ChinaⅡmachinery,and monitor emissions from highpower engine ChinaⅢmachinery.展开更多

BACKGROUND Depression is one of the most common mental disorders,with high rates of disability,particularly among women.AIM To explore the effects of suggestion therapy on anxiety,mood,and sleep-quality in middle-aged...BACKGROUND Depression is one of the most common mental disorders,with high rates of disability,particularly among women.AIM To explore the effects of suggestion therapy on anxiety,mood,and sleep-quality in middle-aged women with depression treated with escitalopram.METHODS Overall,102 female patients with depression aged 35-49 years were divided into control and experimental groups.The control group received oral escitalopram therapy,starting at a dose of 5 mg/day,which was gradually increased to 10-20 mg/day after 1 week for a total of 8 weeks.The experimental group received the suggested therapy based on the control group.The Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Profile of Mood States-Short Form,and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)were used to assess depression,anxiety,mood status,and sleep quality.RESULTS Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the SDS,SAS,Profile of Mood States,and PSQI scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,compared to the control group and baseline,the SDS,SAS,tension-anxiety,depression-dejection,and confusion-bewilderment scores in the experimental group significantly decreased(P<0.05),whereas sleep efficiency,sleep disturbance,hypnotics,and PSQI scores significantly increased(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Suggestion therapy combined with escitalopram treatment can reduce the severity of depression and anxiety,change mood status,and improve sleep quality in middle-aged women with depression.展开更多
Objective To explore the current state of biopharmaceutical innovation in Africa by analyzing patent data related to biopharmaceutical products in African countries.Methods Based on patent data,simple descriptive stat...Objective To explore the current state of biopharmaceutical innovation in Africa by analyzing patent data related to biopharmaceutical products in African countries.Methods Based on patent data,simple descriptive statistical methods were used to analyze the trend of patent applications,the geographical distribution of patents,and the distribution of applicants in the pharmaceutical field in Africa.Besides,Excel software was used to draw charts to visualize statistical information.Results and Conclusion According to the result,a large number of patents has been granted in these countries and the number is steadily rising each year.From the figure below,we can see that the largest number of patents was granted to Morocco in 2014 with a total number of 613 patents followed by Tunisia with 315 patents,the African Intellectual Property Organization(OAPI)with 124 patents,South Africa with 106 and Mozambique with 1 patent based on data availability(IncoPat Global Patent Search Database).It was observed that,as patents were granted,the number of applications filed on this continent increased.The largest number of patents has been recorded by Morocco,Tunisia and South Africa.Patent applications in Morocco increased fast with an average annual growth of 7.3%.The increase in patent applications is due to improved research infrastructure and enhanced research activities,which shows the importance of biopharmaceutical innovation in the continent.展开更多

文摘Due to the coexistence of compressibility,viscosity,and threedimensional effects,laminar flow is difficult to maintain for high-speed boundary layer on complex geometries.The unstable disturbance waves in the boundary layer are excited and rapidly increase during the receptivity process,so sufficiently large Reynolds stress causes the basic flow velocity profile to change,and the formation of turbulence is inevitable.
文摘This paper analyzes the advantages of legal digital currencies and explores their impact on bank big data practices.By combining bank big data collection and processing,it clarifies that legal digital currencies can enhance the efficiency of bank data processing,enrich data types,and strengthen data analysis and application capabilities.In response to future development needs,it is necessary to strengthen data collection management,enhance data processing capabilities,innovate big data application models,and provide references for bank big data practices,promoting the transformation and upgrading of the banking industry in the context of legal digital currencies.
文摘As the Editor-in-Chief of the World Journal of Gastroenterology,I carefully review all articles every week before a new issue’s online publication,including the title,clinical and research importance,originality,novelty,and ratings by the peer reviewers.Based on this review,I select the papers of choice and suggest pertinent changes(e.g.,in the title or text)to the company editors responsible for publication.This process,while time-consuming,is essential for assuring the quality of publications and highlighting important articles that readers may revisit.
