Plasmonic microcavity formed by the M ¨obius strip

We propose a Mobius-strip-type plasmonic cavity with a silver Mobius strip sandwiched between dielectric layers. By brief theoretical and simulation analyses, we obtain that the Q factor of the cavity remains about 40 and the mode volume is ultrasmall (less than 1 μm3) which is more compact than that of the cylindric cavity. This Mobius-stfip-type plasmonic cavity supporting the propagation of surface plasrnon polaritons owns some unusual properties such as more effective volume and the spatial separation. More potential applications based on this cavity remain to be explored in future nanophotonics. 展开更多

This investigation was concerned to stude abetal occlusion of Yuean's skull inNeolithic Age's. The material for this study drawn from the collection in the ChangzhouNatural Museum aud Shanghai Natural Museum from 1972 to 1978. These skulls were de-termined with 14C by the Arcforolop Institute of the Academy of Social Scienceof China. The samples belong to hNeolitic Age (B.C 4750-3700) about 6000 years ago.The samples were tis individuals in all. Eighteen compete skull samples were selected inthe study . Observation of occlnd relationShips according to able's clasthetion wereed sudy of occlusal surface attrition were taken standard according to degree ofattrition in the 'Hand Book of Ha Measurements'. Some charaCteristics of dentalocclusion of Yuden's skull in Neolithic Age's were obtained:occlnd relationships ofYuden Neolithic Age's was edge to ease occlusion. Dental occlnd suUrface of NeolityicAge's exist excessive attrition which (dentinepoine or line was over ++ 66.6% of the to-tal) become SUrfaCe contact relation. In this paper, we have preliminarily studied the application of ARGO (Arrayfor Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography) data to the Global Ocean Data Assimilation System ofNational Climate Center of China (NCC-GODAS), which mainly contains 4 sub-systems such as datapreprocessing, real-time wind stress calculating, variational analysis and interpolating, and oceandynamic model. For the sake of using ARGO data, the relevant adjustment and improvement have beenmade at the corresponding aspects in the subsystems. Using the observation data from 1981 to 2003including the ARGO data of 2001 to July. 2003, we have performed a series of numerical experimentson this system. Comparing with the corresponding results of NCEP, It is illustrated that using ARGOdata can improve the results of NCC-GODAS in the region of the Middle Pacific, for instance SST,SSTA (SST anomalies), Nino index, sea sub-surface temperature, etc. Furthermore, it is obtained thatNCC-GODAS benefits from ARGO data in the other regions such as Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, andextratropical Pacific Ocean much more than in the tropical Pacific. 展开更多
