Topological Corner States due to Boundary Defects

In conventional higher-order topological insulators(HOTIs),the emergence of topological states can be explained by using the nonzero bulk polarization index.However,corner states emerge in HOTIs with incomplete boundary unit cells(i.e.,boundary defects)even though the bulk polarization is zero,which challenges the conventional understanding of HOTIs.Here,based on a Kekul´e-distorted honeycomb lattice with incomplete unit cells,we reveal that incomplete unit cells exhibit fractional charges through the analysis of Wannier centers by developing a compensation method and creating the concept of Wannier center domain(WCD)which is the smallest region that one Wannier center occupies.This method compensates for the missing parts of these boundary incomplete unit cells with additional WCDs to make them complete.The compensated WCDs automatically carry the corresponding charge,and this charge together with that of the incomplete unit cell constitutes the total charge of the complete unit cell after compensation.We conclude that the emergence of corner states is attributed to the filling anomaly,which is a fundamental mechanism.Our results refresh the understanding of HOTIs,especially those with structural discontinuities,and provide a novel design for topological states which have application value in producing optical functional devices. 展开更多

To understand the specific behaviors of coastal coral sand slope foundations,discrete element method(DEM)was employed to examine the effect of breakable particle corners on the performance of coral sand slope foundations under a strip footing,from macro to micro scales.The results demonstrate that the bearing characteristics of coral sand slope foundations can be successfully modeled by utilizing breakable corner particles in simulations.The dual effects of interlocking and breakage of corners well explained the specific shallower load transmission and narrower shear stress zones in breakable corner particle slopes.Additionally,the study revealed the significant influence of breakable corners on soil behaviors on slopes.Furthermore,progressive corner breakage within slip bands was successfully identified as the underling mechanism in determining the unique bearing characteristics and the distinct failure patterns of breakable corner particle slopes.This study provides a new perspective to clarify the behaviors of slope foundations composed of breakable corner particle materials. 展开更多

An improved criterion for predicting corner stall in axial compressors with varying dihedral angles

Currently,the design of advanced compressor blades has reached the full ThreeDimensional(3D)modeling stage.When analyzing the reasons for the failure of popular corner stall prediction criteria for axial compressors to predict the corner flow state in modern compressor3D blades with end-bend and composite bend-sweep characteristics,it is believed that,in addition to the dihedral angle factor in the corner,the variation of the dihedral angle along the flow path is an important factor that has not been considered to date.In light of this,this study first uses the characteristic effects of the diffuser on the deceleration and pressure increase in airflow to design a series of physical models of varying dihedral angle diffusers that are equivalent to compressors.Based on these models,a quantization parameter is established to characterize the development speed of the intersection of boundary layers at the corner under varying dihedral angle and adverse pressure gradient conditions.After combining this with the effects of secondary flow,a Modified diffusion factor DJ(MDJ)is developed to describe the development of corner flow from the leading edge of the blade to its trailing edge under varying dihedral angle conditions.Finally,based on a compressor cascade database,an improved criterion for predicting corner stall in axial compressors using the MDJ diffusion factor is proposed.The validation results,based on extensive experimental data of compressor blades,reveal that this improved criterion can significantly enhance the accuracy of corner stall predictions in the 3D blades of modern compressors compared to currently used prediction criteria,by taking into account the effects of variations in the dihedral angle. 展开更多

The intelligent vehicle corner module system,which integrates four-wheel independent drive,independent steering,independent braking and active suspension,can accurately and efficiently perform vehicle driving tasks and is the best carrier of intelligent vehicles.Nevertheless,too many angle/torque control inputs make control difficult and non-real-time.In this paper,a hierarchical real-time motion control framework for corner module configuration intelligent electric vehicles is proposed.In the trajectory planning module,an improved driving risk field is designed to describe the surrounding environment’s driving risk.Combined with the kinematic vehicle-road model,model predictive control(MPC)method,spline curve method,the local reference trajectory of safety,comfort and smoothness is planned in real time.The optimal steering angle is determined using MPC method in path tracking module.In the motion control module,a feedforward-feedback controller assigns the optimal steering angle to the front/rear axles,and an angle allocation controller distributes the target angles of the front/rear axles to four steered wheels.Finally,the PreScan-Simulink-CarSim joint simulation environment is established for conducting the human-in-the-loop emergency obstacle avoidance experiment.It took only 0.005 s for the hierarchical motion control system to determine its average solution time.This proves the effectiveness of the hierarchical motion control system. 展开更多

The topic of improving the mechanical stability of external cavity diode lasers(ECDLs)has recently attracted widespread attention and interest.The use of corner-cube-array(CCA)-based resonators provides a potential solution for this purpose,although continuous oscillation at super large incident angle remains challenging.In this work,we employ the CCA resonator to generate continuous oscillation within±20°angular misalignment of cavity mirror in experiment.On the basis of retroreflection theory,the retroreflectivity of a CCA is analyzed by using optical simulation software.Notably,the experiment verifies the advantage of using a CCA over a plane mirror in laser resonator,thereby providing a promising approach for ECDLs.The threshold characteristic curves measured at different incident angles in the experiment verify that the CCA possesses an obvious anti-angle misalignment performance.This research introduces an alternative solution of using CCA resonator instead of parallel plane cavity,thereby realizing an adjustment-free ECDL with enhanced mechanical stability. 展开更多

We study the topological states(TSs)of all-dielectric honeycomb valley photonic crystals(VPCs).Breaking the space inversion symmetry of the honeycomb lattice by varying the filling ratio of materials for circular ring dielectric columns in the unit cell,which triggers topological phase transitions and thus achieves topological edge states(TESs)and topological corner states(TCSs).The results demonstrate that this structure has efficient photon transmission characteristics and anti-scattering robustness.In particular,we have found that changing the type of edge splicing between VPCs with different topological properties produces a change in the frequency of TCSs,and then based on this phenomenon,we have used a new method of adjusting only the type of edge splicing of the structure to design a novel TCSs combiner that can integrate four TCSs with different frequencies.This work not only expands the variety and number of unexplored TCSs that may exist in a fixed photonic band gap and can be rationalized to be selectively excited in the fixed configuration.Our study provides a feasible pathway for the design of integrated optical devices in which multiple TSs coexist in a single photonic system. 展开更多

基于改进SIFT-Harris的图像配准算法

针对现有Harris与尺度空间结合算法存在复杂度高、准确度低、实时性差的问题,提出一种改进算法。建立尺度不变特征转换(SIFT)图像金字塔,在其上检测Harris特征点,以32维向量作为特征描述符。利用向量相似性匹配特征点。改进了经典K-mean... 针对现有Harris与尺度空间结合算法存在复杂度高、准确度低、实时性差的问题,提出一种改进算法。建立尺度不变特征转换(SIFT)图像金字塔,在其上检测Harris特征点,以32维向量作为特征描述符。利用向量相似性匹配特征点。改进了经典K-means算法,不设固定初始值,以距离大、相关性小的候选初始类中心点为初始类中心点,特征点归入距离最小类中。从2幅图像的各类特征点中随机抽取3对匹配点,组成一对三角形,利用三角形相似性进一步筛选匹配点。令改进的RANSAC算法根据匹配点误差距离,分别为所有的匹配点赋值,令所有的匹配点共同评估变换模型,选出最优解。实验结果表明,该算法比SIFT算法、Harris算法提取的特征点减少了约22%,匹配正确率提高了约13%,运算时间减少了约4.7%。 展开更多

枝叶的大小和数量关系表征了植物应对环境胁迫的水力结构特征,当前,对其在微生境间的变化规律不太清楚。该研究在浙江天童常绿阔叶林中,按照地形的凸凹差异,各选择了10个群落,采用标准化主轴估计方法,分别比较了植物枝大小(横截面积)-... 枝叶的大小和数量关系表征了植物应对环境胁迫的水力结构特征,当前,对其在微生境间的变化规律不太清楚。该研究在浙江天童常绿阔叶林中,按照地形的凸凹差异,各选择了10个群落,采用标准化主轴估计方法,分别比较了植物枝大小(横截面积)-叶大小(总叶面积)关系、枝大小(横截面积)-枝数量(枝稠密度)关系和叶大小(单叶面积)-叶数量(生叶强度)关系在两类生境的变化。结果发现:1)在两类生境中,枝横截面积和总叶面积显著异速正相关(p<0.001),存在显著大于1的共斜率;其回归方程截距在凹型生境显著大于凸型生境,表明在一定枝大小下,凹型生境比凸型生境的植物枝条支撑更大的叶面积;2)枝横截面积与枝稠密度显著负相关(p<0.001),且在两生境间存在显著小于–1的共斜率;回归方程截距在生境间无显著差异(p>0.05),表明凹型与凸型生境的植物在单位大小枝条配置的分枝数相同;3)单叶面积与生叶强度显著负相关(p<0.001),且也在生境间存在显著小于–1的共斜率;回归方程的截距在凹型生境显著大于凸型生境,表明在叶片大小相同时,凹型比凸型生境的植物在单位大小枝条上支撑的叶片数更多。综上,与凸型生境相比,凹型生境植物单位大小枝条更倾向于支持数量较多的大叶片。本研究证明,植物Corner法则和叶大小-叶数量的权衡在局域尺度也具普适性。枝叶大小和叶数量配置的调整体现了植物水力结构对凸凹生境不同水分供应的选择偏好。 展开更多

双关节模组是由2个单关节模组进行集成改进得到的,其误差相互耦合并具有相关性。现有的关节模组误差模型无法直接应用于双关节模组的误差建模。因此,根据设计的双关节模组的结构组成和工作原理,并结合实际工况建立了双关节模组测量模型... 双关节模组是由2个单关节模组进行集成改进得到的,其误差相互耦合并具有相关性。现有的关节模组误差模型无法直接应用于双关节模组的误差建模。因此,根据设计的双关节模组的结构组成和工作原理,并结合实际工况建立了双关节模组测量模型。分析双关节模组的动静态误差来源及误差之间相关性影响,建立双关节模组等效杆长误差模型、转角误差模型和相关性误差模型,分别对等效杆长误差、相关性误差进行理论计算与静态仿真。理论与仿真对比结果表明,双关节模组等效杆长误差为0.88%,最大相关弯曲误差和最大相关扭转误差分别相差0.86%和2.9%。搭建了双关节模组转角误差标定实验平台,实验结果表明,转角误差的仿真与实验结果均呈周期性变化趋势,实验误差范围为[43.29″,91.86″],为后续误差补偿提供了理论依据。 展开更多

为深入探究燃料组件边角栅元的临界热流密度(CHF)特性,以及典型栅元和冷壁栅元试验所获CHF关系式对边角栅元的适用性,在中广核研究院大型热工试验装置(LATHY)上开展边角栅元CHF试验。试验装置由25根5×5排列的轴向均匀加热棒构成,... 为深入探究燃料组件边角栅元的临界热流密度(CHF)特性,以及典型栅元和冷壁栅元试验所获CHF关系式对边角栅元的适用性,在中广核研究院大型热工试验装置(LATHY)上开展边角栅元CHF试验。试验装置由25根5×5排列的轴向均匀加热棒构成,其中外围19根为低功率冷棒,中心6根为高功率热棒,功率比1∶0.8,加热棒内壁沿轴向布置热电偶监测温度。试验条件覆盖的压力范围为10~17 MPa(a),入口温度范围为140~300℃,入口质量流量范围为1 300~4 100 kg/(m^(2)·s),共获取10个数据。对比分析设计与实际工况运行参数后,发现试验参数偏差控制在小范围内,表明试验高度的可控性。计算结果表明,CHF实测值与预测值偏差控制在20%以内,且CHF预测位置与实测位置一致,验证预测模型准确性。典型栅元和冷壁栅元试验所得CHF关系式基本适用于边角栅元。 展开更多

We present a novel incremental algorithm for non-slicing floorplans based on the corner block list representation. The horizontal and vertical adjacency graphs are derived from the packing of the initial floorplanning results. Based on the critical path and the accumulated slack distances we define,we choose the best position for insertion and do a series of operations incrementally, such as deleting modules, adding modules, and resizing modules quickly. This incremental floorplanning algorithm has a very high speed less than 1μm,which is one of the most important measures in this research. The algorithm preserves the original good performances on area and wire length. It can also supply other tools with good physical estimates for area, wire length, and other performance guidelines. 展开更多

Milling force at the sharp corner rises momentarily due to the increase of the cutter contact length, thus shortening the tool life and leading to machine chatter, even cutter breakage. Then a tool path improvement method by inserting biarc transition segments in the contour-parallel tool path is proposed for milling the pocket. Using the method, the cutter moves along the biarc transition tool path. And the corner material is removed. The improved tool path is continuous for clearing residual materials at the sharp corner. A new corner detection algorithm in planar curves is proposed. Firstly, from the human perception, two key characteristics are given as an amendment of the traditional corner properties. Based on the two properties, the concept of the fuzzy set is introduced into a detection. Secondly, the extracted-formulae of three groups including the features of the corner subject degree are derived. Through synthesizing the features of three groups, the judgments of the corner detection, location, and optimization are obtained. Finally, by using the algorithm the detection results of several examples and feature curves for some interested parts, as well as the detection results for the test images history in references are given. Results show that the algorithm is easily realized after adopting the fuzzy set, and the detection effect is very ideal. 展开更多

For calibrating the laser plane to implement 3D shape measurement, an algorithm for extracting the laser stripe with sub-pixel accuracy is proposed. The proposed algorithm mainly consists of two stages: two-side edge detection and center line extraction. First, the two-side edge of laser stripe is detected using the principal component angle-based progressive probabilistic Hough transform and its width is calculated through the distance between these two edges. Secondly, the center line of laser strip is extracted with 2D Taylor expansion at a sub-pixel level and the laser plane is calibrated with the 3D reconstructed coordinates from the extracted 2D sub-pixel ones. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can not only extract the laser stripe at a high speed, nearly average 78 ms/frame, but also calibrate the coplanar laser stripes at a low error, limited to 0.3 mm. The proposed algorithm can satisfy the system requirement of two-side edge detection and center line extraction, and rapid speed, high precision, as well as strong anti-jamming. 展开更多

角反射器是海面战场上重要的无源干扰装备,对角反射器散射特性的准确认知是无源干扰对抗博弈的基础。针对组合角反射器雷达散射截面积(radar cross section,RCS)和极化散射特性认知不足等问题,提出一种基于物理光学法的组合角反射体RCS... 角反射器是海面战场上重要的无源干扰装备,对角反射器散射特性的准确认知是无源干扰对抗博弈的基础。针对组合角反射器雷达散射截面积(radar cross section,RCS)和极化散射特性认知不足等问题,提出一种基于物理光学法的组合角反射体RCS模型。在此基础上,重点分析二十面体的极化特性,推导偏离奇次散射特性情况下方位角与俯仰角的解析表达式,并提出立体保极化角域的计算方法,分析二十面角反射体和舰船目标的差异。通过与电磁仿真软件结果的对比分析可知,所提RCS模型得到的八面体和二十面体RCS均值误差分别为3.2 dBsm和7.1 dBsm,所提极化散射特性模型得到的二次散射对应角度与仿真结果基本一致。所提方法可用于快速分析复杂组合角反射器的散射特性,为后续角反鉴别应用提供基础。 展开更多
