Time bias compensation model considering multi-layer sound speed perturbation for underwater acoustic positioning

Spatio-temporal variation of sound speed,in seafloor geodetic precise positioning,can always be attributed to the time error.Firstly,this paper analyzes the existing error compensation model,i.e.,the time ratio model,which is expressed by the recorded time multiplying a ratio coefficient.And then a time split model is proposed by expressing the acoustic ray traveling time as the recorded time pluses a perturbation time error.The theoretical differences between the proposed time bias compensation model and the time ratio model are analyzed.Under the new framework,sound speed perturbation models with optimal single-layer spatial gradient and multi-layer spatial gradients are developed to compensate for sound speed error in the complex cases.Numerical computation shows that the simple time split model keeps the same accuracy as some complicated models while considering the distribution of random error.Furthermore,multi-layer model can improve the positioning accuracy without putting the pressure on parametrization. 展开更多

Objective:To study the application effect of the multi-role positioning service model in hypertensive patients in the health examination center.Methods:A total of 152 hypertensive patients admitted to the hospital’s health examination center from January 2024 to January 2025 were selected as the subjects.They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method.The control group(76 cases)received conventional physical examination service mode,while the observation group(76 cases)adopted the multi-role positioning service model.The nurse proficiency and physical examination quality were compared between the two groups.Results:The nurse proficiency scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The physical examination quality scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The adoption of the multi-role positioning service model for hypertensive patients in the health examination center can improve nurse proficiency and physical examination quality. 展开更多

To address the problem that a general augmented state Kalman filter or a two-stage Kalman filter cannot achieve satisfactory positioning performance when facing uncertain noise of the micro-electro-mechanical system(MEMS) inertial sensors, a novel interacting multiple model-based two-stage Kalman filter(IMM-TSKF) is proposed to adapt to the uncertain inertial sensor noise. Three bias filters are developed based on different noise characteristics to cover a wide range of noise levels. Then, an accurate estimation of biases is calculated by the interacting multiple model algorithm to correct the bias-free filter. Thus, the vehicle positioning system can achieve good performance when suffering from uncertain inertial sensor noise. The experimental results indicate that the average position error of the proposed IMMTSKF is 25% lower than that of the general TSKF. 展开更多

First, a linear low-frequency motion model with three degrees of freedom was established in the context of a semi-submersible platform. Second, a model predictive controller was designed based on a model which took the constraints of the system into account. Third, simulation was carried out to demonstrate the feasibility of the controller. A rock-drilling jumbo is the main piece of tunneling equipment used in the energy and infrastructure industries in various countries.The positioning accuracy of its drilling boom greatly affects tunneling efficiency and section-forming quality of mine roadways and engineering tunnels.In order to improve the drilling-positioning accuracy of a three-boom drilling jumbo,we established a kinematics model of the multi-degree-of-freedom(multi-DOF)multi-boom system,using the improved Denavit-Hartenberg(D-H)method,and obtained the mapping relationship between the end position and the amount of motion of each joint.The error of the inverse kinematics calculation for the drilling boom is estimated by an analytical method and a global search algorithm based on particle swarm optimization(PSO)for a straight blasting hole and an inclined blasting hole.On this basis,we propose a back-propagation(BP)neural network optimized by an improved sparrow search algorithm(ISSA)to predict the positioning error of the drilling booms of a three-boom drilling jumbo.In order to verify the accuracy of the proposed error compensation model,we built an automatic-control test platform for the boom,and carried out a positioning error compensation test on the boom.The results show that the average drilling-positioning error was reduced from 9.79 to 5.92 cm,and the error was reduced by 39.5%.Therefore,the proposed method effectively reduces the positioning error of the drilling boom,and improves the accuracy and efficiency of rock drilling. 展开更多

This paper addresses the problem of assessing and optimizing the acoustic positioning system for underwater target localization with range measurement.We present a new three-dimensional assessment model to evaluate the optimal geometric beacon formation whether meets user requirements.For mathematical tractability,it is assumed that the measurements of the range between the target and beacons are corrupted with white Gaussian noise with variance,which is distance-dependent.Then,the relationship between DOP parameters and positioning accuracy can be derived by adopting dilution of precision(DOP)parameters in the assessment model.In addition,the optimal geometric beacon formation yielding the best performance can be achieved via minimizing the values of geometric dilution of precision(GDOP)in the case where the target position is known and fixed.Next,in order to ensure that the estimated positioning accuracy on the region of interest satisfies the precision required by the user,geometric positioning accuracy(GPA),horizontal positioning accuracy(HPA)and vertical positioning accuracy(VPA)are utilized to assess the optimal geometric beacon formation.Simulation examples are designed to illustrate the exactness of the conclusion.Unlike other work that only uses GDOP to optimize the formation and cannot assess the performance of the specified size,this new three-dimensional assessment model can evaluate the optimal geometric beacon formation for each dimension of any point in three-dimensional space,which can provide guidance to optimize the performance of each specified dimension. 展开更多

Single SAR image direct positioning is to determine the ground coordinate for each pixel in the SAR image assisted with a reference DEM.During this procedure,an iterative procedure is essentially needed to solve the uncertainty in elevation of each pixel in the SAR image.However,such an iterative procedure may suffer from the problem of divergence in shaded and serious layover areas.To investigate this problem,we performed a theoretical analysis on the convergence conditions that has not been intensively studied till now.The Range-Doppler(RD)model was simplified and then the general surface is degenerated into a planar surface.Mathematical deduction was then carried out to derive the convergence conditions and the impact factors for the convergence speed were evaluated.The theoretical findings were validated by experiments for both simulated and real scenarios. 展开更多

In order to meet the requirements of high-precision vehicle positioning in complex scenes,an observation noise adaptive robust GNSS/MIMU tight fusion model based on the gain matrix is proposed considering static zero speed,non-integrity,attitude,and odometer constraint models.In this model,the robust equivalent gain matrix is constructed by the IGG-Ⅲmethod to weaken the influence of gross error,and the on-line adaptive update of observation noise matrix is carried out according to the change of actual observation environment,so as to improve the solution performance of filtering system and realize high-precision position,attitude and velocity measurement when GNSS signal is unlocked.A real test on a road over 600 km demonstrates that,in about 100 km shaded environment,the fixed rate of GNSS ambiguity resolution in the shaded road is 10%higher than that of GNSS only ambiguity resolution.For all the test,the positioning accuracy can reach the centimeter level in an open environment,better than 0.6 m in the tree shaded environment,better than 1.5 m in the three-dimensional traffic environment,and can still maintain a positioning accuracy of 0.1 m within 10 s when the satellite is unlocked in the tunnel scene.The proposal and verification of the algorithm model show that low-cost MIMU equipment can still achieve high-precision positioning when there are scene feature constraints,which can meet the problem of high-precision vehicle navigation and location in the urban complex environment. 展开更多

This paper focus on solving the problem of seafloor control point absolute positioning with low vertical accuracy based on the survey ship sailing circle. The method of dealing with the systematic error based on a semi-parametric adjustment model was proposed. Firstly, the influence of sound velocity change on ranging error is analyzed. Secondly, a semi-parametric adjustment model for determining three-dimensional coordinates of seafloor control points was established. And respectively proposed solutions under two different conditions, the observation duration is an integral multiple or non-integer multiple of the long-period term of the ranging error. The simulation experiment shows that this method can obviously improve the accuracy of vertical solution of seafloor control point compared with the difference technique and the least-squares method when internal waves exist and observation duration is less than an integer multiple of the long-period term of the ranging error. 展开更多

Artificial intelligence(AI)models are promising to improve the accuracy of wireless positioning systems,particularly in indoor environments where unpredictable radio propagation channel is a great challenge.Although great efforts have been made to explore the effectiveness of different AI models,it is still an open problem whether these models,trained with the data collected from all base stations(BSs),could work when some BSs are unavailable.In this paper,we make the first effort to enhance the generalization ability of AI wireless positioning model to adapt to the scenario where only partial BSs work.Particularly,a Siamese Network based Wireless Positioning Model(SNWPM)is proposed to predict the location of mobile user equipment from channel state information(CSI)collected from 5G BSs.Furthermore,a Feature Aware Attention Module(FAAM)is introduced to reinforce the capability of feature extraction from CSI data.Experiments are conducted on the 2022 Wireless Communication AI Competition(WAIC)dataset.The proposed SNWPM achieves decimeter-level positioning accuracy even if the data of partial BSs are unavailable.Compared with other AI models,the proposed SNWPM can reduce the positioning error by nearly 50%to more than 60%while using less parameters and lower computation resources. 展开更多

The influence derived from atmosphere transmitting of radar wave, in the application of high-resolution airborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) stereo positioning, may produce some phase errors, and eventually be introduced into positioning model. This paper described the principle of airborne SAR stereo positioning and the error sources of stereo positioning accuracy that arose from atmosphere transmitting, established a corresponding assess- ment model of atmosphere transmitting influence, and testified the model and the assessment principle taking the 1-m resolution airborne SAR images of Zigong City, Sichuan Province in China, as the test dataset. The test result has proved that the assessment model is reliable and reasonable. And, it has shown that the phase error arisen from time delay is the main error source during the atmosphere transmitting, which has much more influences on cross-track di- rection and introduces a stereo positioning error of about eight meters, but less on the along-track direction. 展开更多

To solve low precision and poor stability of the extended Kalman filter (EKF) in the vehicle integrated positioning system owing to acceleration, deceleration and turning (hereinafter referred to as maneuvering) , the paper presents an adaptive filter algorithm that combines interacting multiple model (IMM) and non linear Kalman filter. The algorithm describes the motion mode of vehicle by using three state spacemode]s. At first, the parallel filter of each model is realized by using multiple nonlinear filters. Then the weight integration of filtering result is carried out by using the model matching likelihood function so as to get the system positioning information. The method has advantages of nonlinear system filter and overcomes disadvantages of single model of filtering algorithm that has poor effects on positioning the maneuvering target. At last, the paper uses IMM and EKF methods to simulate the global positioning system (OPS)/inertial navigation system (INS)/dead reckoning (DR) integrated positioning system, respectively. The results indicate that the IMM algorithm is obviously superior to EKF filter used in the integrated positioning system at present. Moreover, it can greatly enhance the stability and positioning precision of integrated positioning system. 展开更多

Software fault positioning is one of the most effective activities in program debugging. In this paper, we propose a model-based fault positioning method to detect the faults of embedded program without source code. The system takes the machine code of embedded software as input and translates the code into high-level language C with the software reverse engineering program. Then, the static analysis on the high-level program is taken to obtain a control flow graph(CFG), which is denoted as a node-tree and each node is a basic block. According to the faults found by the field testing, we construct a fault model by extracting the features of the faulty code obtained by ranking the Ochiai coefficient of basic blocks. The model can be effectively used to locate the faults of the embedded program. Our method is evaluated on ST chips of the smart meter with the corresponding source code. The experiment shows that the proposed method has an effectiveness about 87% on the fault detection. 展开更多

This paper presents a new random weighting estimation method for dynamic navigation positioning. This method adopts the concept of random weighting estimation to estimate the covariance matrices of system state noises and observation noises for controlling the disturbances of singular observations and the kinematic model errors. It satisfies the practical requirements of the residual vector and innovation vector to sufficiently utilize observation information, thus weakening the disturbing effect of the kinematic model error and observation model error on the state parameter estimation. Theories and algorithms of random weighting estimation are established for estimating the covariance matrices of observation residual vectors and innovation vec- tors. This random weighting estimation method provides an effective solution for improving the positioning accuracy in dynamic navigation. Experimental results show that compared with the Kalman filtering, the extended Kalman filtering and the adaptive windowing filtering, the proposed method can adaptively determine the covariance matrices of observation error and state error, effectively resist the disturbances caused by system error and observation error, and significantly improve the positioning accu- racy for dynamic navigation. 展开更多

High-mass fraction silicon aluminium composite(Si/Al composite) has unique properties of high specific strength, low thermal expansion coefficient, excellent wear resistance and weldability. It has attracted many applications in terms of radar communication, aerospace and automobile industry. However, rapid tool wear resulted from high cutting force and hard abrasion, and damaged machined surfaces are the main problem in machining Si/Al composite. This work aims to reveal the mechanisms of milling-induced damages of 70wt% Si/Al composites. A cutting force analytical model considering the characteristics of both the primary silicon particles and the cutting-edge radius was established. Milling experiments were conducted to verify the validity of the model. The results show that the analytical model exhibits a good consistency with the experimental results, and the error is about 10%. The cutting-edge radius has significant effects on the cutting force, surface roughness and damage formation. With the increase in the cutting-edge radius, both the cutting force and the surface roughness decrease firstly and then increase. When the cutting-edge radius is 27 μm, the surface roughness(Sa) reaches the minimum of 2.3 μm.Milling-induced surface damages mainly contain cracks, pits, scratches, matrix coating and burrs.The damage formation is dominated by the failure mode of primary silicon particles, which includes compressive breakage, intragranular fracture, particle pull-out, and interface debonding. In addition, the high ductility of aluminium matrix leads to matrix coating. This work provides guidance for tool selection and damage inhibition in high-efficiency and high-precision machining of high mass fraction Si/Al composites. 展开更多

In order to improve the low positioning accuracy and execution efficiency of the robot binocular vision,a binocular vision positioning method based on coarse-fine stereo matching is proposed to achieve object positioning.The random fern is used in the coarse matching to identify objects in the left and right images,and the pixel coordinates of the object center points in the two images are calculated to complete the center matching.In the fine matching,the right center point is viewed as an estimated value to set the search range of the right image,in which the region matching is implemented to find the best matched point of the left center point.Then,the similar triangle principle of the binocular vision model is used to calculate the 3D coordinates of the center point,achieving fast and accurate object positioning.Finally,the proposed method is applied to the object scene images and the robotic arm grasping platform.The experimental results show that the average absolute positioning error and average relative positioning error of the proposed method are 8.22 mm and 1.96%respectively when the object's depth distance is within 600 mm,the time consumption is less than 1.029s.The method can meet the needs of the robot grasping system,and has better accuracy and robustness. 展开更多
