Our approach combines the prior knowledge of car styling and deformable curve network model to obtain an automatic modeling process. Firstly, we define the consistent parameterized curve template for 2D and 3D case respectivelyby analyzingthe characteristic lines for car styling. Then, a semi-automatic extraction from a side-view car image is adopted. Thirdly, statistic morphable model of 3D curve network isused to get the initial solution with sparse point constraints.Withonly afew post-processing operations, the optimized curve network models for creating surfaces are obtained. Finally, the styling surfaces are automatically generated using template-based parametric surface modeling method. More than 50 3D curve network models are constructed as the morphable database. We show that this intelligent modeling toolsimplifiesthe exhausted modeling task, and also demonstratemeaningful results of our approach.展开更多

Richly formatted documents,such as financial disclosures,scientific articles,government regulations,widely exist on Web.However,since most of these documents are only for public reading,the styling information inside ...Richly formatted documents,such as financial disclosures,scientific articles,government regulations,widely exist on Web.However,since most of these documents are only for public reading,the styling information inside them is usually missing,making them improper or even burdensome to be displayed and edited in different formats and platforms.In this study we formulate the task of document styling restoration as an optimization problem,which aims to identify the styling settings on the document elements,e.g.,lines,table cells,text,so that rendering with the output styling settings results in a document,where each element inside it holds the(closely)exact position with the one in the original document.Considering that each styling setting is a decision,this problem can be transformed as a multi-step decision-making task over all the document elements,and then be solved by reinforcement learning.Specifically,Monte-Carlo Tree Search(MCTS)is leveraged to explore the different styling settings,and the policy function is learnt under the supervision of the delayed rewards.As a case study,we restore the styling information inside tables,where structural and functional data in the documents are usually presented.Experiment shows that,our best reinforcement method successfully restores the stylings in 87.65%of the tables,with 25.75%absolute improvement over the greedymethod.We also discuss the tradeoff between the inference time and restoration success rate,and argue that although the reinforcement methods cannot be used in real-time scenarios,it is suitable for the offline tasks with high-quality requirement.Finally,this model has been applied in a PDF parser to support cross-format display.展开更多
Background:Bullying during adolescence is shaped by numerous psychosocial factors such as family dynamics,attachment,and peer relationships.This study aims to examine parental acceptance-rejection,attachment styles,an...Background:Bullying during adolescence is shaped by numerous psychosocial factors such as family dynamics,attachment,and peer relationships.This study aims to examine parental acceptance-rejection,attachment styles,and social exclusion factors as key psychosocial variables predicting bullying behavior in adolescents.Methods:In a cross-sectional study conducted with 349 high school students in Hakkari,Türkiye.Data were collected using the Olweus Bullying Scale,the Parental Acceptance-Rejection Scale,the Social Exclusion Scale,and the Three-Dimensional Attachment Styles Scale.Independent samples t-tests,one-way ANOVAs,Pearson correlations,and hierarchical regression analyses were performed.Results:Research findings reveal that peer bullying varies significantly according to gender,class level,parents’educational level,and socio-economic status.Furthermore,our findings indicate that social exclusion(β=0.506,p<0.01)and avoidant attachment(β=0.162,p<0.01)positively predict peer bullying,while secure attachment(β=−0.205,p<0.01),maternal(β=−0.385,p<0.01)and paternal(β=−0.217,p<0.01)acceptance/rejection negatively predict bullying.The final regression model explains approximately 55%of the variance in bullying.Conclusion:Our findings indicate that social exclusion,parental acceptance/rejection,and secure or avoidant attachment patterns may be associated with bullying behaviour in adolescents.These findings emphasise the necessity of family-and peer-focused interventions to combat bullying.展开更多

Background:Childhood leukemia,a malignant proliferative disorder of the hematopoietic system and the most common childhood cancer,poses a significant threat to the lives and health of affected children.For parents,a l...Background:Childhood leukemia,a malignant proliferative disorder of the hematopoietic system and the most common childhood cancer,poses a significant threat to the lives and health of affected children.For parents,a leukemia diagnosis in their child is a profoundly traumatic event.As primary caregivers,they endure immense psychological distress and caregiving stress throughout the prolonged and demanding treatment process,which can adversely affect their own well-being and caregiving capacity.However,the psychological mechanisms,such as the role of mindfulness,linking caregiver stress to parental coping strategies remain underexplored,and evidence-based interventions to support these parents are needed.Methods:In Study 1,we administered a cross-sectional survey to 242 parents of children with leukemia who were hospitalized at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University between January and August 2024.Participants completed measures assessing caregiver burden,mindful attention awareness,and parental coping style.In Study 2,we further evaluated the effects of a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction(MBSR)intervention.Results:The results of Study 1 revealed:(1)The caregiving stress significantly and negatively predicted coping style(β=−1.18,95%CI[−2.18,−0.18],p<0.01).(2)Caregiving stress also significantly and negatively predicted mindfulness(β=−1.90,95%CI[−2.43,−1.38],p<0.01).(3)Conversely,mindfulness significantly and positively predicted coping style(β=0.85,95%CI[0.62,1.07],p<0.01).These findings suggest that mindfulness mediates the relationship between caregiver burden and coping style.In Study 2,the experimental group showed a significant decrease in caregiver stress post-intervention(t=2.24,p<0.05),a significant increase in mindfulness(t=−4.61,p<0.001),and a significant improvement in coping style(t=−2.36,p<0.01).No significant changes were observed in the control group.Conclusion:MBSR can effectively enhance mindfulness and promote adaptive coping strategies,while reducing caregiver burden among parents of children with leukemia.展开更多
