The potential energy surfaces (PES) along the O-N and O-O bonds have been scanned at CCSD(T)/aug-cc-pVDZ level, respectively. The calculated results show that on the O-N PES, the O3-N4 bond length of the loose transition state is 2.82A^° and the corresponding energy barrier is 25.6 kcal/mol, while on the O-O PES, the loose transition state with of O2-O3 bond length of 2.35A^° has the energy barrier of 37.4 kcal/mol. Thus the primary reaction path for peroxynitric acid is the dissociation into HO2 and NO2.展开更多

By using the "stepwise revised method",the climate productive potential, light and temperature productive potential in the zone in recent 50 years were counted. The light and temperature productive potential of corn in Ningxia irrigated area, the central arid zone and the southern mountain area presented the linear increase trend. But when considered the climate productive potentials of light, temperature and water, the numerical value was very low because of the scarce rainfall, and no agriculture without the irrigation. The light and temperature productive potential, climate productive potential of winter wheat in the central arid zone had no significant trend, but the variation range of climate productive potential was very big. The light and temperature productive potential of winter wheat in the southern mountain area had no significant variation trend, and the climate productive potential presented the weak decline trend. It illustrated that the productive of winter wheat was greatly restricted by the water content. By using the meteorological factor data which were simulated by RegCM3-WOFOST/LINGRA coupled model, the future climate productive potentials of winter wheat in the central south of Ningxia was counted. They both presented the weak increase trend. It illustrated that the climate in Ningxia was favorable to improve the yield of winter wheat after returning farmland to forestland.展开更多

Borehole-surface electric potential measurements are able to detect a wide enough range but its resolution is limited, particularly for reservoirs with complex oil and water distribution or complicated structure. In this study, we attempt to accurately locate the 3-D reservoir water and oil distribution by combining borehole-surface and crosswell electric potentials. First, the distributions of oil and water in both vertical and horizontal directions are detected by the borehole-surface and erosswell electric potential methods, respectively, and then the measured crosswell potential result is used to calibrate the measured borehole-surface electric potential data to improve vertical resolution so that the residual oil distribution is determined in a lower half-space with three dimensions. The evaluation of residual oil distribution is obtained by investigation of differences between the simulation results of the reservoir with and without water flooding. The finite difference numerical simulation results prove that the spatial residual oil distribution can be effectively determined by combining the crosswell and borehole-surface electric potentials.展开更多

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution affects millions of people worldwide. Hundreds of thousands of deaths each year and a range of diseases, particularly among vulnerable groups (i.e., children, the elderly, and people with special medical conditions), are attributed to air pollution. These effects are not always caused by single pollutant in the air; rather, they are considered consequences of the multi-pollutants to which people are simultaneously exposed.展开更多

Results show that the distribution features of the two components were closely related to the development of a mesoscale cyclone as a rainstorm-causing weather system in the lower troposphere in such a way that the ambient atmosphere of which MPV1 > 0 and MPV2 < 0 with |MPV1| ≥ |MPV2| favored the genesis of conditional symmetric instability (CSI) and that, as indicated by calculations, a CSI sector was really existent in the lower troposphere during the heavy rain happening and contributed greatly to its development.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Patients with major depression(MD)exhibit conditional reasoning dysfunction;however,no studies on the event-related potential(ERP)characteristics of conditional reasoning in MD have been reported.AIM To investigate the ERP characteristics of conditional reasoning in MD patients and explore the neural mechanism of cognitive processing.METHODS Thirty-four patients with MD and 34 healthy controls(HCs)completed ERP measurements while performing the Wason selection task(WST).The clusterbased permutation test in FieldTrip was used to compare the differences in the mean amplitudes between the patients with MD and HCs on the ERP components under different experimental conditions.Behavioral data[accuracy(ACC)and reaction times(RTs)],the ERP P100 and late positive potentials(LPPs)were analyzed.RESULTS Although the mean ACC was greater and the mean of RTs was shorter in HCs than in MD patients, the differences were not statistically significant. However, across both groups, the ACC in the precautionary WST was greater than that in the other tasks, and the RTs in the abstract task were greater than those in the other tasks.Importantly, compared with that of HCs,the P100 of the left centroparietal sites was significantly increased, and the early LPP was attenuated at parietal sites and increased at left frontocentral sites;the medium LPP and late LPP were increased at the left frontocentral sites.CONCLUSION Patients with MD have conditional reasoning dysfunction and exhibit abnormal ERP characteristics evoked by the WST,which suggests neural correlates of abnormalities in conditional reasoning function in MD patients.

文摘BACKGROUND Research has consistently demonstrated that patients with major depressive disorder(MDD)exhibit attentional switching dysfunction, and the dual-task paradigm has emerged as a valuable tool for probing cognitive deficits. However, the neuroelectrophysiological mechanism underlying this deficit has not been clarified.AIM To investigate the event-related potential(ERP)characteristics of attentional switching dysfunction and further explore the neuroelectrophysiological mechanism of the cognitive processing deficits underlying attentional switching dysfunction in MDD.METHODS The participants included 29 MDD patients and 29 healthy controls(HCs).The ERPs of the participants were measured while they performed the dual-task para digm. The behavioral and ERP N100,P200,P300,and late positive potential(LPP)data were analyzed.RESULTS This study revealed greater accuracy in HCs and slower reaction times(RTs)in MDD patients.Angry facial pictures led to lower accuracy. The results also revealed shorter RTs for happy facial pictures and the longest RTs for the 500-ms stimulus onset asynchrony. With respect to ERP characteristics, happy facial pictures and neutral facial pictures evoked higher amplitudes. The N100,P200,P300,and LPP amplitudes at Pz were the highest.MDD patients had lower P200 mean amplitudes and LPP amplitudes than HCs did.CONCLUSION In conclusion,MDD patients exhibited abnormal ERP characteristics evoked by the dual-task paradigm, which could be the neural correlates of the known abnormalities in attentional switching in patients with MDD.These results provide valuable insights into the understanding of the neural mechanisms of attentional switching function and may guide targeted interventions in patients with MDD.

文摘The inherent asymmetry and diversity of the El Niño-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)pose substantial challenges to its prediction.Potential predictability measures the upper limit of predictability for a certain event.Assessing the potential predictability of ENSO across varying phases and intensities with sophisticated climate models is crucial for understanding the upper limits of forecasting capabilities and identifying room for future enhancement.Based on the hindcast dataset with a recently developed ensemble forecasting system(the community earth system model,CESM),this study comprehensively investigates potential predictability for ENSO across different phases and intensities. The findings reveal that La Niña events possess higher potential predictability relative to their El Niño counterparts.Strong events exhibit significantly higher potential predictability than weak events within the same phase. The potential predictability of distinct ENSO types is primarily influenced by the seasonal variation inherent to their predictability.Regardless of the event classification, the potential predictability is characterized by a rapid decline from spring onwards, with the apex of this decline occurring in summer. The intensity of the seasonal predictability barrier inversely correlates with the upper limit of potential predictability.Specifically,a weaker(stronger)seasonal barrier is associated with a higher(lower)potential predictability. In addition, there is significant interdecadal variability both in the predictability of warm and cold ENSO events. The potential predictability for La Niña events decreases more slowly with increasing lead months, particularly in recent decades, resulting in an overall higher upper limit of potential predictability for La Niña events than for El Niño events over the past century.Nevertheless,El Niño events have also maintained a high potential predictability. This suggests substantial potential for improvement in future prediction for both.

文摘In the urban environment, subsurface contamination is caused by municipal solid waste(MSW)and industrial and agricultural discharges.About 2.01 billion tons of MSW is generated globally each year, most of which is disposed of in landfills.Countries in Asia and Pacific regions account for 43%of global waste generation, while India and China account for 27.45%of global waste generation. Most of the landfills operated in South-Asian countries are non-sanitary,leading to the percolation of leachate in the subsurface.Conventional hydrogeological and geochemical methods are primary indicators and detect high levels of critical parameters near landfills, indicating subsurface contamination from leachate.

文摘By combining neuroevolution potential(NEP)with phonon Boltzmann transport theory,we systematically investigate the thermal transport properties of three two-dimensional(2D)narrow bandgap semiconductors:Ca_(3)N_(2),Ba_(3)P_(2),and Ba_(3)As_(2).The room-temperature lattice thermal conductivities(κ_(L))of Ca_(3)N_(2),Ba_(3)P_(2),and Ba_(3)As_(2)considering only three-phonon scattering are 6.60 W/m K,11.90 W/m K,and 8.88 W/m K,respectively. When taking into account the higherorder phonon(four-phonon)scattering processes, theκL of these three materials decrease to 6.12 W/m K,9.73 W/m K and6.77 W/m K,respectively.Among these systems,Ba_(3)As_(2)undergoes the most pronounced suppression with a reduction of 23.8%.This is mainly due to the greater scattering phase space which enhances the four-phonon scattering.Meanwhile,it is revealed that unlike the traditional evaluation using the P_(4)/P_(3)ratio as an indicator of the strength of four-phonon interactions, the thermal conductivity of Ba_(3)P_(2)exhibits weaker four-phonon suppression behavior compared to Ba_(3)As_(2),despite hosting a higher P_(4)/P_(3)ratio.That is to say,the strength of four-phonon scattering cannot be evaluated solely by the ratio of P_(4)/P_(3).These results presented in this work shed light on the thermal transport properties of such new 2D semiconductors with narrow bandgaps.

文摘The lowest energy structures of peroxynitric acid have been studied with B3LYP/6-311+ G(2d,2p) method. Thus the primary reaction path for peroxynitric acid is the dissociation into HO2 and NO2.

文摘The key zones of returning farmland to forestland and grassland in Ningxia were studied. It illustrated that the climate in Ningxia was favorable to improve the yield of winter wheat after returning farmland to forestland.
文摘Although high resolution can be provided by electrical logging, the measured electrical log range is narrow and is limited to near the well. The finite difference numerical simulation results prove that the spatial residual oil distribution can be effectively determined by combining the crosswell and borehole-surface electric potentials.

文摘Nanobubble flotation technology is an important research topic in the field of fine mineral particle separation. The basic characteristics of nanobubbles, including their size, concentration, surface zeta potential, and stability have a significant impact on the nanobubble flotation performance. In this paper, bulk nanobubbles generated based on the principle of hydrodynamic cavitation were investigated to determine the effects of different parameters(e.g.,surfactant(frother)dosage,air flow, air pressure, liquid flow rate, and solution pH value)on their size distribution and zeta potential,as measured using a nanoparticle analyzer. The results demonstrated that the nanobubble size decreased with increasing pH value, surfactant concentration, and cavitation-tube liquid flow rate but increased with increasing air pressure and increasing air flow rate. The magnitude of the negative surface charge of the nanobubbles was positively correlated with the pH value, and a certain relationship was observed between the zeta potential of the nanobubbles and their size. The structural parameters of the cavitation tube also strongly affected the characteristics of the nanobubbles. The results of this study offer certain guidance for optimizing the nanobubble flotation technology.

文摘Drylands are among those regions most sensitive to climate and environmental changes and human-induced perturbations. The most widely accepted definition of the term dryland is a ratio, called the Surface Wetness Index(SWI),of annual precipitation to potential evapotranspiration(PET)being below 0.65.PET is commonly estimated using the Thornthwaite(PET Th)and Penman–Monteith equations(PET PM).The present study compared spatiotemporal characteristics of global drylands based on the SWI with PET Th and PET PM.Results showed vast differences between PET Th and PET PM;however, the SWI derived from the two kinds of PET showed broadly similar characteristics in the interdecadal variability of global and continental drylands, except in North America, with high correlation coefficients ranging from 0.58 to 0.89.It was found that, during 1901–2014,global hyper-arid and semi-arid regions expanded, arid and dry sub-humid regions contracted, and drylands underwent interdecadal fluctuation. This was because precipitation variations made major contributions, whereas PET changes contributed to a much lesser degree. However, distinct differences in the interdecadal variability of semi-arid and dry sub-humid regions were found. This indicated that the influence of PET changes was comparable to that of precipitation variations in the global dry–wet transition zone.Additionally, the contribution of PET changes to the variations in global and continental drylands gradually enhanced with global warming, and the Thornthwaite method was found to be increasingly less applicable under climate change.
文摘Air pollution has environmental issue owing become a serious to its diverse harmful effects on the physical and biological environment. These effects are not always caused by single pollutant in the air; rather, they are considered consequences of the multi-pollutants to which people are simultaneously exposed.
文摘In the light of the theory on moist potential vorticity (MPV) investigation was undertaken of the 700 hPa vertical (horizontal) component MP1 (MPV2) for the heavy rain event occurring in July 5–6, 1991. Results show that the distribution features of the two components were closely related to the development of a mesoscale cyclone as a rainstorm-causing weather system in the lower troposphere in such a way that the ambient atmosphere of which MPV1 > 0 and MPV2 < 0 with |MPV1| ≥ |MPV2| favored the genesis of conditional symmetric instability (CSI) and that, as indicated by calculations, a CSI sector was really existent in the lower troposphere during the heavy rain happening and contributed greatly to its development.
