Because of the particularity of students in sports schools, the proportion of students with learning difficulties in mathematics is higher than that in ordinary schools, and the effective transformation of students with learning difficulties is also more difficult. It is related to the all-round development of students in sports schools and the long-term development of sports schools. This paper studies and discusses the causes and corresponding transformation strategies of students with mathematics learning difficulties in sports schools, and points out that short-term or long-term absenteeism, lack of motivation, weak will and lack of thinking are the main reasons for students with mathematics learning difficulties in sports schools The effective transformation can be realized by organizing absent tuition in time, cultivating students' interest in mathematics and good study habits, and establishing self-confidence in learning mathematics well.展开更多

Methods: Nursing students were instructed on the basics of active learning prior to the initiation of their clinical experience. The participants were divided into 5groups of nursing students ( n = 56) across three levels (years 2-4) in a public academic institute of a bachelor degree program in Macao. Final clinical evaluation was averaged and compared between groups with and without intervention. Results: These nursing students were given higher appraisals in verbal and written comments than previous students without interventian. The groups with the invention achieved higher clinical assessment and evaluation scores on average than comparable groups without the active learning intervention. One group of sophomore nursing students (year 2) did not receive as high of evaluations as the other groups, receiving an average score of above 80. Conclusions" Nursing students must engage in active learning to demonstrate that they are willing to gain knowledge of theory, nursing skills and communication skills during the clinical practicum.展开更多

In most cases, student learning is analyzed only within the context of an academic program using survey methods which do not accurately quantify overall student learning. Contrary to this condition, construction management programs increasingly require students to take level lofthe nationally administered CQE (constructor qualification exam) upon graduation. However, little or no analysis of this data is conducted beyond basic interpretation of the national and program averages provided by the testing agency. Providing a statistical approach to analyze this data and to propose recommended strategies for its improvement, this research develops and investigates statistical methods to analyze the national test data as a program assessment tool for student learning. Specifically, this work seeks to develop performance standards and expectations for students when taking the CQE exam, to define correlations between student GPA (grade point average) and student performance on the CQE exam. Likewise, this work presents methods to identify program weakness and strategies for improvement by comparing the CQE Level 1 exam with ACCE (American council for construction education) accreditation standards.展开更多

Concerns have been expressed about the impact of virtual learning on student performance and grades. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of remote learning on student performance and grades, as well as to investigate the obstacles and benefits of this new educational paradigm. The study will examine current literature on the subject, analyze data from surveys and interviews with students and educators, and investigate potential solutions to improve student performance and participation in virtual classrooms. The study’s findings will provide insights into the effectiveness of remote learning and inform ideas to improve student learning and achievement in an educational virtual world. The purpose of this article is to investigate the influence of remote learning on both students and educational institutions. The project will examine existing literature on the subject and collect data from students, instructors, and administrators through questionnaires and interviews. The paper will look at the challenges and opportunities that remote learning presents, such as the effect on student involvement, motivation, and academic achievement, as well as changes in teaching styles and technology. The outcomes of this study will provide insights into the effectiveness of remote learning and will affect future decisions about the usage of virtual learning environments in education. The research will also investigate potential solutions to improve the quality of remote education and handle any issues that occur.展开更多

This opportunity not only opened a door by providing a much-needed community service but also afforded students an enriching opportunity to enhance their clinical skills in a venue not always recognized as an available or accessible resource. A COVID Vaccine Clinic was planned in collaboration with the School of Nursing, University Health Services, and the County Health Department to provide COVID vaccines to the Middle Tennessee area. A multidisciplinary committee met weekly to organize the COVID Vaccine Clinic opening this opportunity to the community two days per week. During the initial COVID Vaccine Clinic planning committee meetings, a variety of roles and responsibilities were identified to ensure the clinic would be planned, coordinated, and organized as efficiently as possible. When the clinic opened, weekly meetings continued to identify issues such as supply distribution problems, procedures related to various aspects of care, and debriefings describing the activities of each clinic day to note any areas in need of improvements. The School of Nursing Lobby, located on the MTSU campus, was the designated area chosen for the clinic. Many faculty and students along with numerous campus volunteers worked together enabling thousands of members of the community to receive vaccinations. The interdisciplinary experience was a success and served to bring positive learning outcomes to all members of the faculty and students involved.展开更多

It highlights that school teachers need to acknowledge students' preferred learning methods, especially those of minority backgrounds like the Samoan participants in this investigation. A detailed exploration of the experiences of students in two HSGs finds that while students and their families place a high priority on learning, their cultural practices are not compatible with standard Western learning approaches. The HSGs provided a social space in which students could ask the teacher questions without fear of appearing foolish, in which they could apply themselves to study. It provided a physical study space away from the demands some Samoan families place on their young people, and it provided a cultural space in which the students could learn according to fa'aSamoa (traditional values and beliefs). This research makes a contribution to an understanding of the motivations of Melbourne-based Samoan students to learn, of what concerns them, and of impediments to their educational success. It also offers insight into the benefits that set up a specific space for students offers, when its specific intent is influencing the merging of Samoan and Western ideas to further learning.展开更多
