The digital-intelligent era presents both opportunities and challenges for specialized course education in universities.Based on the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education,this study takes the course“Design and Guidance of Science Play Performance Activities”as an example to explore practical pathways for integrating ideological and political education into specialized courses within a digital-intelligent context.Employing literature review and action research methodologies,the study constructs a digital-intelligent teaching model,develops digital ideological and political resources,innovates teaching methods,and systematically identifies and deeply integrates ideological and political elements into the curriculum.Through practical validation,the research summarizes a curriculum design framework grounded in Tyler’s principles and a digital-intelligent teaching model based on BOPPPS,providing transferable pathways for ideological and political education in specialized courses.Furthermore,it offers theoretical support and practical references for the deep integration and innovative application of digital-intelligent technologies in education. 展开更多

At present,the education of specialized courses in science and engineering still focuses on imparting specialized knowledge,which seriously lacks the embodiment of educating students.Taking the specialized course“Solid Luminescent Materials”as an example,the new mode of ideological/political teaching is integrated into the specialized course,giving full play to the role of the main position of the specialized class,so as to realize the aim of teaching specialized knowledge in cooperation with educating students and imperceptibly influencing the ideological/political teaching.In this paper,the design of ideological/political knowledge points and the integration of ideological/political cases are carried out from the aspects of teaching concepts,teaching contents and teaching cases.By adhering to the cooperation between moral and financial classroom and specialized education,the educational function of university specialized courses can be effectively brought into play,which is expected to guide students to enhance their awareness of energy conservation,environmental protection,innovation and patriotism. 展开更多

In the context of the COVID-19 outbreak,online teaching has spread rapidly.However,the existing research on moral and self-cultivation teaching methods for online courses remains inadequate.This paper proposes an“independence+integration”moral and self-cultivation teaching method for online courses.The method divides the targets of moral and self-cultivation teaching into independent and integrated ones,and fits them both explicitly and implicitly into the online teaching of specialized courses in higher education.When this method was employed to teach engineering mechanics to industrial design students at a college in China,it effectively increased the students’acceptance of online courses as well as their understanding of moral and self-cultivation knowledge and the course itself,and improved the quality of online teaching.The method provides a new way of thinking about online moral and self-cultivation teaching. 展开更多

A Probe on the Influential Factors in Content-Based ESP Courses Design

Recent years, problems of the current college English courses, such as test-oriented teaching, wasteful duplication of language skills teaching, etc., have been criticized by educators and students in China. Thus, turning skill-based English courses into content-based ESP (English for Special Purposes) courses has become a tendency at colleges and universities in China. The purpose of this paper is to analyze factors influencing the design of such courses through the means of questionnaire, individual interviews, data survey (e.g., educational plans) etc.. We found the following factors throw light on the questions relating to curriculum design of ESP courses: (1) the learners' learning needs; (2) the social needs (esp. labor market needs); and (3) the academic needs from the university. The analysis serves to reveal the gap between the school system and actual social and students needs. With these factors in mind, designers of such courses can adjust goals, contents, approaches, and assessments in the practical teaching. And thus these factors would enable content-based ESP courses to reflect learners' needs better and lead to more effective langrage learning in college English teaching field. 展开更多

With the vigorous development of Sino-foreign cooperative education,English teaching for specialized courses has become a crucial link in cultivating internationalized professionals.This paper takes the Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering(Sino-German Cooperation)major of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology as the research object,and deeply analyzes the dilemmas faced by English teaching in this major,such as significant differences in students’English foundations,poor adaptability of teaching resources,and insufficient cultivation of cross-cultural communication skills.Based on this,a series of teaching reform strategies are proposed,covering aspects,such as optimizing teaching objectives,innovating curriculum settings,changing teaching methods,strengthening the construction of the teaching staff,and improving the teaching evaluation system.Specific teaching reform cases are also incorporated,aiming to improve the quality of English teaching for specialized courses and cultivate internationalized talents with solid professional knowledge and excellent English capabilities. 展开更多
