Characteristics of gas−liquid flow in double-side-blown systems computed by CFD

A CFD-based numerical model was employed to quantitatively analyze the flow characteristics of double-side-blown gas−liquid flow.Key parameters were extracted,and Spearman correlation analysis was used to quantify the relationships among bubble behavior,circulating flow,and liquid oscillations.The results show that periodic bubble behavior under steady injection drives the circulating flow of the liquid on both sides.The asynchronism of bubble behavior on both sides results in the alternation of circulating intensity,which significantly enhances gas−liquid mixing efficiency at certain liquid levels of 200 and 220 mm.Flow patterns of the double-side-blown process are classified into weak circulation,strong−weak alternating circulation,and strong circulation modes based on the influence of circulating flows on the penetration depth.The penetration depth in the strong−weak alternating circulation mode is generally greater than that in the single-side-blown process.The imbalance of circulating intensities on both sides primarily leads to the stable fluctuation in the injecting direction,which reveals the appearance of periodic oscillations in the molten bath.The effect of control parameters such as liquid level and gas flow rate on the liquid oscillations were discussed. 展开更多

Influence of land use on spatial distribution of primary productivity in aquatic environment in the Weihe River Basin, China

Increasing concerns regarding aquatic ecological health and eutrophication driven by urbanization and human activities have highlighted the need to understand primary productivity(PP)dynamics in aquatic ecosystems. This study investigated the spatial distribution of PP across the Weihe River Basin, China using inverse distance weighting and analyzed the influence of different land uses and water physical-chemical parameters on PP using Mantel test and Spearman analysis. Significantly spatial heterogeneity in PP concentrations, ranging from 0.458 to 3262.807 mg C/(m^(2)·d), was observed with high-PP sites clustered in the middle-lower reaches dominated by farmland-construction land mosaics.Core drivers included light availability(Secchi depth and sunlight duration) and phytoplankton biomass(chlorophyll-a(Chl-a)), while water temperature exhibited threshold-dependent effects. Total organic carbon played dual roles, promoting PP concentrations in low-Chl-a regions, but suppressing it under high-Chl-a regions. Dual-scale buffer analysis(500 and 1000 m buffer zones) revealed PP heterogeneity stemed from interactive land use configurations, rather than isolated types. Balanced construction land-to-farmland ratio(0.467–2.890) elevated PP concentrations in human-dominated basins(the main stem of the Weihe River and Jinghe River), whereas excessive agricultural homogenization reduced PP likely due to fertilizer saturation and algal self-shading. Ecologically sensitive basins(the Beiluohe River Basin) demonstrated distinct patterns, in which PP concentration was regulated through natural-agricultural synergies. These results deepened the understanding of land use effects on aquatic PP,providing a theoretical basis for optimizing land use strategies to reconcile eutrophication control with ecological productivity in human-stressed basins. 展开更多

Correlation between serum PLVAP levels and metabolism-related fatty liver disease in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Objective To investigate the correlation between serum plasmamembranevesicle-associated protein(PLVAP)levels and metabolism-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)in patients with T2DM.Methods A total of 255 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)treated in Gansu Provincial Hospital from September 2023 to March 2024 were selected in this study,and were divided into T2DM alone group(n=141)and the T2DM combined with MAFLD group(n=114)according to whether they were combined with MAFLD or not.Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between serum PLVAP and other indexes,multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of serum PLVAP,and Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of MAFLD in T2DM patients.The early diagnostic value of serum PLVAP on MAFLD in patients with T2DM by analyzing the receiver's operating characteristics(ROC)curve.Results Compared with the MAFLD group,BMI,WC,FPG,C-P,HOMA-IR,TG,AST,ALT,GGT,hepatic steatosis index(HSI)and phytohaemagglutinin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor 1(LOX-1)were decreased in the T2DM group(P<0.05).DM duration,,HDL-C,AST/ALT and PLVAP were elevated(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that PLVAP was positively correlated with AST/ALT(P<0.05)and negatively correlated with WC,DBP,C-P,ALT,GGT and HSI(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that WC was an influencing factor for PLVAP.Logistic regression analysis showed that DM duration,WC,TG,PLVAP,LOX-1 were influencing factors for MAFLD.Analysis of the subjects'work characteristics(ROC)curve showed that the area under the ROC curve was 0.785,with a sensitivity of 81.6%and a specificity of 67.4%.Conclusion Reduced PLVAP is a risk factor for comorbid MAFLD in patients with T2DM and is important for predicting the co-existence of MAFLD in patients with T2DM. 展开更多

An index system for evaluation of agriculture green development at county level in China

Agriculture green development(AGD)has become an unavoidable choice to address the unique national circumstances of China.This study established a county-level AGD evaluation index system,comprised three dimensions,food production,ecological environment and socioeconomic development,using 20 indicators.The assessment delved into historical trend and current situation,utilizing Spearman rank correlation analysis to analyze trade-off and synergy relationships,using Quzhou County,Hebei Province as a case study.The main findings were in four areas.Firstly,the index for AGD in Quzhou County increased by 58.9%from 1978 to 2019.The major contribution were the social economy(65.8%)and food production(53.5%),whereas the ecological environment was found to have had a negative impact.Secondly,in 2019,the AGD index was only 56.4,indicating substantial potential for improvement relative to the target value.A notable difference in scores existed between the three dimensions,with the order being ecological environment(66.3)>food production(61.7)>socioeconomic(41.3).Also,90%of the indicators did not reach the target value.Thirdly,relationship analysis of the indicators revealed that the synergistic effect exceeded the trade-off effect.Specifically,46.3%of the indicators had no significant relationship,35.3%had a synergistic relationship,and 18.4%had a trade-off relationship.Finally,interdimensional indicator relationships exhibited a trade-off effect between the ecological environment and both food production and socioeconomic dimensions.However,a positive trend of synergy between production and ecology has emerged since 2015.In conclusion,the quantitative evaluation index system exposed the unbalanced development and significant potential relative to the target value of AGD in Quzhou County,despite notable progress. 展开更多
