[Method] With in vivo as control, the simulating rumen fer- mentation effect in vitro culture system was evaluated. [Result] The simulation rumen fermentation test needed adaptive phase of 2-3 d, and the fermentation state was relatively stable within 3-9 d, with good effects. The test showed certain regularity variation with index value of rumen in vivo. [Conclusion] The continuous culture sys- tem of artificial rumen could be used as the ideal model to study the rumen fermen- tation in vivo.展开更多
Formation and evolution of rural settlement patterns in Lianzhou City,Guangdong Province were analyzed from the perspective of space and time,on the basis of its gazetteer and relevant historical data.The results show...Formation and evolution of rural settlement patterns in Lianzhou City,Guangdong Province were analyzed from the perspective of space and time,on the basis of its gazetteer and relevant historical data.The results show that Lianzhou was first founded in the sixth year of Yuanding Period of the Western Han Dynasty,and its development could be roughly classified into 6 stages according to the construction of south–north traffic lines and regional development progress,and it witnessed the fastest development in the Ming and Qing Dynasty.In terms of spatial distribution,rural settlements in the local area show spatial continuity,Lianzhou Town is the core of rural settlement growth in the city,and towns with the most concentrated rural settlements in all stages are located in central-west and northeast parts of the city,and those with lower density of rural settlements are mostly located in minority regions in the north and mountainous areas in the east.On the basis of the above facts,the paper studies the influence of natural geological conditions,immigrant,traffic,economic development and ethnic composition on the establishment and development of rural settlements in Lianzhou City.展开更多
In order to study the propagation mechanism of continuous rotating detonation wave,the H2/air continuous rotating detonation engine ignited by tangentially installed H2/O2pre-detonation tube is studied experimentally ...In order to study the propagation mechanism of continuous rotating detonation wave,the H2/air continuous rotating detonation engine ignited by tangentially installed H2/O2pre-detonation tube is studied experimentally using a tilt slot injector structure.The experimental results show that the stable rotating detonation wave can be gained successfully with the equivalent ratio of 0.93.The propagation frequency and velocity of rotating detonation wave range from 5200 to 5500 Hz and from 1518.5 to 1606.1 m/s,respectively.Three propagation modes,such as rotation,reversal and bifurcation,of detonation wave are verified through the analysis of propagation mechanism of rotating detonation wave.展开更多

Medications are beneficial for curing or managing acute and chronic illnesses. Medications typically have positive outcomes, although older people are prone to drug-related problems. Community-dwelling seniors are at ...Medications are beneficial for curing or managing acute and chronic illnesses. Medications typically have positive outcomes, although older people are prone to drug-related problems. Community-dwelling seniors are at particularly high risk of polypharmacy, as they tend to receive many prescriptions over time and from different care providers. Continuing-care facility admission presents an excellent opportunity for a comprehensive medication review. A research study was conducted to describe and compare medications taken by community-dwelling seniors prior to and following admission to a continuing-care facility. This pilot project involved data being gathered from the charts of deceased residents, as required by a University Health Research Ethics Board, who had been cared for at one large local continuing-care facility. The facility administrators also approved this study, in part to evaluate their policy to conduct a medication review for all new residents within six weeks of entry. This study revealed a slight but statistically significant reduction in the number of medications following this review. Other issues such as medication interactions and required dosage changes were addressed by this medication review. Although this study was confined to one continuing-care facility and a small number of residents, the findings suggest medication reviews would be beneficial upon admission to all continuing-care facilities, and annually perhaps through other means for older persons living in the community.展开更多
Objective To thoroughly investigate the genuine emotional experience of patients with idiopathic granulomatous mastitis(IGM)pre-and post-treatment.Methods A purposive sampling method was adopted to select 13 patients ...Objective To thoroughly investigate the genuine emotional experience of patients with idiopathic granulomatous mastitis(IGM)pre-and post-treatment.Methods A purposive sampling method was adopted to select 13 patients with idiopathic granulomatous mastitis(IGM)as study objects during Feb to Dec 2016 who were all from the Department of Breast Surgery,the first affiliated hospital of Xiamen University.In addition,hermeneutic phenomenological method was performed in different ways including face-to-face interview,semi-structured interview,indepth interview,live recording and subject analysis of these collected data in hermeneutics rota⁃tion principle.Results The genuine emotional experience of patients with idiopathic granuloma⁃tous mastitis(IGM)pre-and post-treatment could be summarized into six subjects,through the thoroughly analysis of interview data,including change of sleep state,fatigue,lack of knowledge of disease,difficult to adapt to treatment state,worries and fears,and positive views of prosthesis implantation.Conclusion Lifestyle change among patient was prevalent pre-idiopathic granulo⁃matous mastitis,and patient always suffered from negative emotions and lack of disease knowl⁃edge once developed it.Therefore,it would demand medical staff to be committed to health edu⁃cation,communication with patients,and discovery problems in the first time.Moreover,posi⁃tive pertinent measures were appealed to improve confidence to overcome the suffering,and to ease or eliminate the negative emotion for recovery promotion.展开更多
Objective To help China’s pharmaceutical enterprises better understand continuous manufacturing,and to promote the development of new technologies and innovation in the pharmaceutical industry.Methods The advantages ...Objective To help China’s pharmaceutical enterprises better understand continuous manufacturing,and to promote the development of new technologies and innovation in the pharmaceutical industry.Methods The advantages and challenges of continuous manufacturing were summarized through literature research.Then,a comprehensive comparative analysis was conducted on the application of continuous manufacturing of approved and listed varieties by querying the evaluation documents of Europe,the USA,Japan,and China.Results and Conclusion The issues that Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises should pay attention to when applying continuous manufacturing technique were discussed from four aspects:feasibility analysis,variety selection,process research,and communication with regulatory authorities.Continuous manufacturing is an innovative technique that can change the production of the pharmaceutical industry.However,the uncertainty of new technique and the various changes brought about by continuous manufacturing models pose many challenges to its application.Implementing continuous manufacturing requires enterprises to have technological knowledge in quality management,research and development,and regulatory aspects.Enterprises should take advantage of the opportunity period before and after the emergence of new technique to seize the breakthrough of innovation so that continuous manufacturing can be better implemented in China.展开更多
