Compared with other schemes, our scheme has lower computational complexity and has a simpler decoder. In the case of three or four transmitter antennas, our scheme has a higher rate a higher coding gain and a lower bit error rate for a given rate. Then we made simulations for space-time block codes as well as group codes in the case of two, three, four and five transmit antennas. The simulations prove that using two transmit antennas, one receive antenna and code rate of 4 bits/s/Hz, the differential STBC method outperform the differential group codes method by 4 dB. Useing three, four and five transmit antennas, one receive antenna, and code rate of 3 bits/s/Hz are adopted, the differential STBC method outperform the differential group codes method by 5 dB, 6. 5 dB and 7 dB, respectively. In other words, the differential modulation scheme based on space-time block code is better than the corresponding differential modulation scheme展开更多

A new detection scheme consisting of two steps is proposed for the differential unitary space-time modulation (DUSTM) system. In the first step, the data sequence is estimated by conventional unitary space-time demodulation (DUSTD) and differentially encoded again to produce an initial estimate of the transmitted symbol stream. In the second step, the initial estimate of the symbol stream is utilized to initialize an expectation maximization (EM)-based iterative detector. In each iteration, the most recent detected symbol stream is employed to estimate the channel, which is then used to implement coherent sequence detection to refine the symbol stream. Simulation results show that the proposed detection scheme performs much better than the conventional DUSTD after several iterations.展开更多

Firstly, the sub-channel capacities of MLCM systems is analyzed and discussed, based on which the optimal component code rate can be obtained. Secondly, an extrinsic information transfer chart based two-stage searching algorithm is proposed to find the good irregular QC-LDPC code ensembles with optimal component code rates for their corresponding sub-channels. In the BICGSM-ID scheme, the information bits conveyed by the signal-domain(SiD) symbols and the spatial-domain(SpD) light emitting diode(LED)-index patterns are coded by a protograph low-density parity-check(P-LDPC) code. Specifically, we propose a signal-domain symbol expanding and re-allocating(SSER) method for constructing a type of novel generalized spatial modulation(GSM) constellations, referred to as SSERGSM constellations, so as to boost the performance of the BICGSM-ID MIMO-VLC systems. Moreover, by applying a modified PEXIT(MPEXIT) algorithm, we further design a family of rate-compatible P-LDPC codes, referred to as enhanced accumulate-repeat-accumulate(EARA) codes, which possess both excellent decoding thresholds and linear-minimum-distance-growth property. Both analysis and simulation results illustrate that the proposed SSERGSM constellations and P-LDPC codes can remarkably improve the convergence and decoding performance of MIMO-VLC systems. Therefore, the proposed P-LDPC-coded SSERGSM-mapped BICGSMID configuration is envisioned as a promising transmission solution to satisfy the high-throughput requirement of MIMO-VLC applications.展开更多

Transmission over an ergodic Rayleigh fading channel is assumed throughout this work. Various constellations and mapping techniques are considered in this work to maximize the capacity difference between the main channel and the eavesdropper channel, rather than to opti- mize the capacity of both channels. We show that in terms of achievable secrecy rate, Gray and Quasi-Gray mappings only perform Well at low SNR but outperformed by other mapping techniques when SNR increases. The proper design of signal mapping can significantly enhance the achievable secrecy rate in BICM schemes. It is indicated that the key parameter to the secrecy rate of a BICM system is the distance spectrum of Euclidean distances for mappings.展开更多

Among existing schemes, differential modulation is always performed in the time domain and suffers performance degradations in frequency-selective fading channels. In order to combat the fast time and frequency-selective fading, a novel time-frequency differential space-time (TF-DST) modulation scheme, which adopts differential modulation in both time and frequency domains, is proposed for multi-antenna orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. A corresponding suboptimal yet low-complexity non-coherent detection approach is also proposed. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed system is robust for time and frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels.展开更多

In particular, a set of signal subspaces, every one of which is spanned by the space-time vector channels of an individual user, are also obtained. From these signal subspaces, the space-time channels of multiple users are estimated using the subspace method. Computer simulations illustrate both the validity and the overall performance of the proposed scheme.展开更多

The results show that adaptive turbo coded modulation is very sensitive to time delay. In order to meet the target BER requirement, the total time delay should be less than 0 001/f D.
文摘We study the impact of various modulation mapping strategies and signal constellation shapes on the se- crecy rates achievable with bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) schemes. It is indicated that the key parameter to the secrecy rate of a BICM system is the distance spectrum of Euclidean distances for mappings.

文摘Previously proposed differential modulation schemes for time-varying channels may not achieve the full transmit diversity and the maximum Doppler diversity simultaneously. Based on an existing basis expansion model, a new differential space-time code, which wisely combines interleaver/de-interleaver with traditonal space-time transmitting technique to overcome such limitation, .is presented. Two noncoherent differential decoders, named decision-feedback differential detector (DF-DD) and Viterbi-algorithmbased multiple-symbol-detection differential detector ( MSD-DD), are also derived. We show that our design may recover data symbols with full antenna diversity and the maximum Doppler diversity at high signal-to-noise ratio. System performance is evaluated with simulations.

文摘A new space-time(ST)code design is proposed based on the design criteria of space-time codes, which is applied to the MIMO systems with fewer receive antennas than transmit antennas. The space-time codes, referred to as full diversity lossless capacity(FDLLC)ST code, achieve full transmit diversity and lossless equivalent channel capacity for ST precoded systems.Combined FDLLC-ST codes with channel codes,ST bit interleaved coded modulation(ST-BICM)system is constructed and an iterative detector/decoder is employed at the receiver.Simulations are presented. It is proved that the proposed design has good performance compared with other ST precoded MIMO systems.
文摘Differential space-time (DST) modulation has been proposed recently for multiple-antenna systems over Rayleigh fading channels, where neither the transmitter nor the receiver knows the fading coefficients. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed system is robust for time and frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels.

文摘Multiple antenna wireless systems can provide larger channel capacity and enable spatial diversity to combat fading. In this paper we conduct an investigation into the design of coded space-time system obtained by serially concatenating channel code module and space-time code module with an interleaver in between. As an example, the system is constructed by employing low decoding complexity turbo-SPC (single parity check) code as outer module and linear complex field space-time code as inner module, which achieves full diversity and lossless equivalent channel capacity. Simulation results prove that our designed system performs well and it only loses 0.8 dB from multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) capacity at BER = 10^-5 in the case of information bit length 6048. Compared with turbo code-based systems, it also has lower error floor.

文摘To provide reliability in distributed systems, combination property(CP)is desired, where k original packets are encoded into n≥k packets and arbitrary k are sufficient to reconstruct all the original packets.Shift-and-add(SA)encoding combined with zigzag decoding(ZD)obtains the CP-ZD,which is promising to reap low computational complexity in the encoding/decoding process of these systems. As densely coded modulation is difficult to achieve CP-ZD,research attentions are paid to sparse coded modulation. The drawback of existing sparse CP-ZD coded modulation lies in high overhead, especially in widely deployed setting m<k,where m≜n−k.For this scenario, namely,m<k,a sparse reverseorder shift(Rev-Shift)CP-ZD coded modulation is designed. The proof that Rev-Shift possesses CP-ZD is provided.A lower bound for the overhead,as far as we know is the first for sparse CP-ZD coded modulation,is derived. The bound is found tight in certain scenarios, which shows the code optimality.Extensive numerical studies show that compared to existing sparse CP-ZD coded modulation, the overhead of Rev-Shift reduces significantly, and the derived lower bound is tight when k or m approaches 0.

文摘This paper proposes a closed-form joint space-time channel and Direction Of Arrival (DOA) blind estimation algorithm for space-thne coded Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) systems equipped with a Uniform Linear Array (ULA) at the base station in frequency-selective fading environments. The algorithm uses an ESPRIT-like method to separate multiple co-channel users with different impinging DOAs. As a result, the DOAs for multiple users are obtained. In particular, a set of signal subspaces, every one of which is spanned by the space-time vector channels of an individual user, are also obtained. From these signal subspaces, the space-time channels of multiple users are estimated using the subspace method. Computer simulations illustrate both the validity and the overall performance of the proposed scheme.
