To address the challenges of high-precision optical surface defect detection,we propose a novel design for a wide-field and broadband light field camera in this work.The proposed system can achieve a 50°field of view and operates at both visible and near-infrared wavelengths.Using the principles of light field imaging,the proposed design enables 3D reconstruction of optical surfaces,thus enabling vertical surface height measurements with enhanced accuracy.Using Zemax-based simulations,we evaluate the system’s modulation transfer function,its optical aberrations,and its tolerance to shape variations through Zernike coefficient adjustments.The results demonstrate that this camera can achieve the required spatial resolution while also maintaining high imaging quality and thus offers a promising solution for advanced optical surface defect inspection. 展开更多

Space-based optical(SBO)space surveillance has attracted widespread interest in the last two decades due to its considerable value in space situation awareness(SSA).SBO observation strategy,which is related to the performance of space surveillance,is the top-level design in SSA missions reviewed.The recognized real programs about SBO SAA proposed by the institutions in the U.S.,Canada,Europe,etc.,are summarized firstly,from which an insight of the development trend of SBO SAA can be obtained.According to the aim of the SBO SSA,the missions can be divided into general surveillance and space object tracking.Thus,there are two major categories for SBO SSA strategies.Existing general surveillance strategies for observing low earth orbit(LEO)objects and beyond-LEO objects are summarized and compared in terms of coverage rate,revisit time,visibility period,and image processing.Then,the SBO space object tracking strategies,which has experienced from tracking an object with a single satellite to tracking an object with multiple satellites cooperatively,are also summarized.Finally,this paper looks into the development trend in the future and points out several problems that challenges the SBO SSA. 展开更多

Because of its characteristics of simple algorithm and hardware, optical flow-based motion estimation has become a hot research field, especially in GPS-denied environment. Optical flow could be used to obtain the aircraft motion information, but the six-(degree of freedom)(6-DOF) motion still couldn't be accurately estimated by existing methods. The purpose of this work is to provide a motion estimation method based on optical flow from forward and down looking cameras, which doesn't rely on the assumption of level flight. First, the distribution and decoupling method of optical flow from forward camera are utilized to get attitude. Then, the resulted angular velocities are utilized to obtain the translational optical flow of the down camera, which can eliminate the influence of rotational motion on velocity estimation. Besides, the translational motion estimation equation is simplified by establishing the relation between the depths of feature points and the aircraft altitude. Finally, simulation results show that the method presented is accurate and robust. 展开更多

Although optical camera communication(OCC) is gaining increasing attention in research, developing a practical OCC system to increase data rate and transmission distance is still an issue. The rolling shutter can increase data rate, but it also limits the transmission distance at the same time. When the transmission distance is long, the thresholding method will become difficult and the block sequence number(BSN) is easy to be wrong due to bit errors, which will make it impossible to reorder the frame sequences. In this paper, in order to increase the transmission distance, we propose the efficient thresholding method which transforms partial mean gray values of per column nonlinearly to increase the contrast between light and dark bands. In addition, this method takes the frame image of the camera as the basic unit to adjust the threshold for the environment in which each frame of the image is located. Experimental results show that this method is better than the polynomial regression. Moreover, we perform the error correction of BSN by using its continuity to specify the legal BSNs and the illegal BSNs. 展开更多

Demand for precise vehicle positioning(VP)increases as autonomous vehicles have recently been drawing attention.This paper proposes a scheme for positioning vehicles on the move based on optical camera communication(OCC)technology in the vehicle-to-infrastructure(V2I)environment.Light-emitting diode(LED)streetlights and vehicle cameras are used as transmitters and receivers respectively.Regions of streetlights are detected and traced by examining images that are obtained from cameras of vehicles.Then,a scheme for analyzing visible light data extracted from the images is proposed.The proposed vehicle positioning scheme uses information on angles between vectors that are formed under the collinearity conditions between the absolute coordinates of at least three received streetlights,and the coordinates of an image sensor.The experiments are performed under stationary state and moving state at a speed of 5 and 20 km/h.To verify the reliability of the proposed scheme,a comparison is made between the actual and estimated location of the camera in the stationary state.In addition,the path of a moving vehicle and the estimated path of the vehicle are compared to check the performance of the scheme.The performance of the proposed technique is analyzed and experimental demonstration confirms that the proposed OCC-based VP scheme achieves positioning accuracy of under 1 m. 展开更多

Aiming to solve the problem that it is difficult to accurately measure UV cut-off transmittance of xenon quartz glass by using present spectrophotometer in China SG III project. Through the analysis, we believe that its reason was that the xenon quartz glass was nonplanar so the outgoing beam geometry from under-test was different from that from standard sample. A method of transmittance measurement based on focal-plane-array camera was proposed in this article. The effects of camera uniformity and spot sampling on transmittance measurement were analyzed theoretically. This method, which can reduce the effect of beam geometry on transmittance measurement and eliminate the cutting error occurring during light transmission by monitoring the completeness of incident beam in real-time, is verified from experiments. The random standard uncertainty of this method here is 0.035% or less. It is particularly useful in the transmittance measurement of nonplanar optical. 展开更多

This paper designs and implements a single-camera 360°panoramic imaging system based on motor-driven fisheye rotation.The system utilizes a stepper motor for precise angular control,enabling the camera to rotate around its optical center to capture multi-view images,thereby avoiding the parallax and geometric mismatch problems inherent in traditional multi-camera configurations.To address the strong distortion characteristics of fisheye images,an equidistant projection model is adopted for distortion correction.On this basis,a brightness normalization method combining global linear brightness correction and local illumination compensation is proposed to enhance stitching consistency.By establishing a geometry model constrained by camera rotation and integrating cylindrical projection with cosine-weighted blending,the system achieves high-precision panoramic stitching and seamless visual transitions. 展开更多

为满足数字图像的远距离传输需求,设计用于传输Camera Link接口数字图像的光纤通讯系统。系统分为发送和接收两个部分,分别负责Camera Link数字图像到光信号的转化以及相应的逆变换过程。采用Cyclone I EP1C12 FPGA作为发送和接收板卡... 为满足数字图像的远距离传输需求,设计用于传输Camera Link接口数字图像的光纤通讯系统。系统分为发送和接收两个部分,分别负责Camera Link数字图像到光信号的转化以及相应的逆变换过程。采用Cyclone I EP1C12 FPGA作为发送和接收板卡的逻辑控制核心。在发送板卡的FPGA内设计逻辑控制模块,操纵两个异步FIFO(先入先出队列),将接收到的数字图像缓存,用本地时钟读取后再进行串行化转换。在不改变数字图像时序关系的前提下,用本地时钟替换原有的像素时钟,消除像素时钟不稳定性对后续传输影响。实验表明,利用该技术可以有效提升光纤传输系统的适应性、稳定性,改善、消除由像素时钟抖动造成的传输图像抖动现象。 展开更多

月球南极已成为月球探测下一阶段的热点,而光学遥感成像是获取月球极地科学信息的一个重要手段。由于月球极地复杂的光照环境,能够动态调整积分级数的时间延迟积分相机是未来月球极地探测的重要光学载荷。基于后向路径追踪方法,结合时... 月球南极已成为月球探测下一阶段的热点,而光学遥感成像是获取月球极地科学信息的一个重要手段。由于月球极地复杂的光照环境,能够动态调整积分级数的时间延迟积分相机是未来月球极地探测的重要光学载荷。基于后向路径追踪方法,结合时间延迟积分相机参数、环绕器轨道、月球极地三维结构、月球极地附近光照情况,构建出了光学遥感的全链路成像模型,模拟出不同参数下的成像结果。所提出的仿真方法不仅适用于月球极地的直接光照区域,也适用于仅能通过二次散射光照明的永久阴影区域。经过与Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter(LRO)上搭载的线阵推扫相机的实拍图像对比,对于直接光照区域仿真图像的平均相对误差在10%以内,并且验证了时间延迟积分相机在永久阴影区域的高分辨成像能力。为以后的月球南极光学遥感探测提供了一种可行的模拟框架,便于辅助研究人员在实际工程中选择合适的参数,具有较高的参考价值。 展开更多

光场相机可以在成像后进行重聚焦,并且一次曝光就可以同时获取目标的位置信息和方向信息,基于光场相机的三维成像技术是集前端光学系统与后端信息处理为一体的计算成像技术,目前的研究工作主要集中于后端信息处理算法,对前端光学系统的... 光场相机可以在成像后进行重聚焦,并且一次曝光就可以同时获取目标的位置信息和方向信息,基于光场相机的三维成像技术是集前端光学系统与后端信息处理为一体的计算成像技术,目前的研究工作主要集中于后端信息处理算法,对前端光学系统的研究鲜有报道,因此文中对光场相机的成像和深度解算的原理进行阐述,在视差法的基础上,分析光场相机参数对深度测量精度的影响。首先,建立基于多目视觉光场相机深度分辨率计算模型并分析焦距、F#等光学系统性能参数对物方深度分辨率的影响;然后,设计了一款用于千米级三维成像的光场相机,主物镜焦距为900 mm,F#=6.4,全视场MTF在78 lp/mm处优于0.5;最后,研制光场相机并开展相关实验,其中微透镜阵列六边形排布焦距为1.4 mm,距探测器0.7 mm,配合1/10 pixel的亚像元识别精度的算法开展千米级成像实验,实验结果中纵向分辨率精度为4.8 m@0.64 km、10.39 m@1.07 km。 展开更多

In order to conquer the defect in low precision and small range for measuring optic axial angle based on conoscopic interference method, interference fringe method is proposed. It is not the distance deviating from melatope but fringe numbers to decide optic axial angle. Fringe numbers are divided into integer portion and decimal fraction portion, the decimal fraction portion is calculated by non-linear interpolation method and integer portion is determined by the relative placement of interference fringes in the principal section. Extremum arithmetic of digit image is proposed and can be used to determine the interference fringes conveniently and precisely. After different niobate crystals were measured, the result shows that measurement range of optic axial angle is increased efficiently and measurement error is reduced to 0.1°. 展开更多
