文摘Objectives:Positive family functioning(FF)is critical for adolescent development, yet only a few studies have examined this developmental trajectory pathway. This study aimed to identify different types of FF development trajectories during junior high school students, investigate their influence on social avoidance(SA),and further examine the mediating role of preference for solitude(PS)between them. Methods:A three-wave longitudinal study was used with six-month intervals.Questionnaire data were collected from 436 junior high school students in Jiangxi Province,China.Participants ranged in age from 11 to 14 years old(Mean=12.89 years,SD=1.08;50.2%male).Results:Four heterogeneous types of FF trajectories were identified:(1)a high and increasing group(14.7%);(2)a consistently high group(36.24%);(3)a consistently moderate group(45.86%);and(4)a rapid growth group(3.2%).The developmental trajectories of FF among junior high students significantly varied in their levels of SA(F(3,432)=32.03,p<0.001).Compared to the high and increasing groups, the consistently high, consistently medium, and rapid growth groups exhibited higher levels of SA.PS mediated the association between the developmental trajectory of FF and SA.Conclusion:There was a close relationship between the developmental trajectory of FF and SA.Interventions focusing on family system optimization and solitary preference management could effectively mitigate SA behaviors. These findings are important for promoting healthy socialization in adolescents.
文摘BACKGROUND Functional gastrointestinal disorders(FGIDs)in children present with chronic symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, and constipation without identifiable structural abnormalities. These disorders are closely linked to gut-brain axis dysfunction, altered gut microbiota, and psychosocial stress, leading to psychia-tric comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.Under-standing this bidirectional relationship is crucial for developing effective, holistic management strategies that address physical and mental health.AIM To examine the psychiatric impacts of FGIDs in children, focusing on anxiety and depression and their association with other neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood, such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, emphasizing the role of the gut-brain axis, emotional dysregulation, and psychosocial stress.Key mechanisms explored include neurotransmitter dysregulation, microbiota imbalance, central sensitization, heightening stress reactivity, emotional dysregulation, and symptom perception. The review also evaluates the role of family dynamics and coping strategies in exacerbating FGID symptoms and contributing to psychiatric conditions.METHODS A narrative review was conducted using 328 studies sourced from PubMed,Scopus, and Google Scholar, covering research published over the past 20 years.Inclusion criteria focused on studies examining FGID diagnosis,gut-brain mechanisms, psychiatric comorbidities, and psychosocial factors in pediatric populations.FGIDs commonly affecting children, including functional constipation, abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux, and cyclic vomiting syndrome, were analyzed concerning their psychological impacts.RESULTS The review highlights a strong connection between FGIDs and psychiatric symptoms, mediated by gut-brain axis dysfunction, dysregulated microbiota, and central sensitization. These physiological disruptions increase children’s vulnerability to anxiety and depression, while psychosocial factors-such as chronic stress,early-life trauma, maladaptive family dynamics, and ineffective coping strategies-intensify the cycle of gastrointestinal and emotional distress.CONCLUSION Effective management of FGIDs requires a biopsychosocial approach integrating medical, psychological, and dietary interventions.Parental education, early intervention, and multidisciplinary care coordination are critical in mitigating long-term psychological impacts and improving both gastrointestinal and mental health outcomes in children with FGIDs.
文摘BACKGROUND Acute ischemic stroke(AIS)is a leading global cause of disability and mortality, with post-stroke cognitive impairment(PSCI)affecting 20%-40%of survivors.PSCI ranges from mild cognitive decline to dementia, severely hindering functional recovery, increasing healthcare costs, and elevating risks of recurrent stroke and death. While nutritional support aids neuronal repair and reduces oxidative damage, and social support alleviates psychological distress, existing studies often evaluate these interventions in isolation. This study investigates the combined effects of standardized nutritional intervention and structured social support on cognitive function, psychological status, and quality of life(QoL)in AIS patients with cognitive dysfunction, aiming to establish an integrated rehabilitation model.AIM To explore the effects of nutritional intervention and social support on the cognitive function and psychological status in patients with acute cerebral infarction complicated by cognitive dysfunction.METHODS A retrospective study was conducted.A total of 59 patients with acute cerebral infarction complicated by cognitive dysfunction from January 2023 to December 2023 were selected as the control group.Another 59 patients with the same condition were selected as the research group. The research group received standardized nutritional intervention and regular social support, including dietary guidance, nutritional supplementation, psychological counseling, and family support plans. The control group received routine medical care.Cognitive function, anxiety, depression,QoL,sleep quality, nutritional status, and family satisfaction were compared between the two groups.RESULTS The Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)and Mini-Mental State Examination differences(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that increases in serum albumin(Alb),prealbumin(PAB),and hemoglobin(Hb)were all highly and significantly associated with improvements in MMSE and MoCA scores(P<0.05).The Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and Self-Rating Depression Scale scores of the research group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The scores of QoL dimensions in the research group were higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores and total score of the research group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The serum Alb,PAB,and Hb levels in the research group were higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The Social Disability Screening Schedule scores of the research group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The family satisfaction of the research group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Nutritional intervention and social support significantly improved the cognitive function, psychological status, and QoL in patients with acute cerebral infarction complicated by cognitive dysfunction. These interventions reduced anxiety and depression symptoms, improved sleep and nutritional status, and enhanced the social adaptability of patients as well as family satisfaction.

文摘Gauss radial basis functions(GRBF)are frequently employed in data fitting and machine learning.Their linear independence property can theoretically guarantee the avoidance of data redundancy. In this paper, one of the main contributions is proving this property using linear algebra instead of profound knowledge. This makes it easy to read and understand this fundamental fact. The proof of linear independence of a set of Gauss functions relies on the constructing method for one-dimensional space and on the deducing method for higher dimensions.Additionally, under the condition of preserving the same moments between the original function and interpolating function, both the interpolating existence and uniqueness are proven for GRBF in one-dimensional space. The final work demonstrates the application of the GRBF method to locate lunar olivine.By combining preprocessed data using GRBF with the removing envelope curve method,a program is created to find the position of lunar olivine based on spectrum data, and the numerical experiment shows that it is an effective scheme.

文摘Saikosaponins are the major pharmacologically active components in Bupleurum genus and exhibit significant application potential in multiple fields such as immune regulation and anti-tumor activity. To elucidate the biosynthetic pathway of saikosaponins,we identified two cytochrome P450 monooxygenases,CYP716A41 and CYP716Y4,in Bupleurum chinense. These enzymes catalyze the C-28 oxidation and C-16 hydroxylation of oleanane-type triterpene skeletons, respectively. The catalytic efficiency of CYP716A41 from a southern B.chinense variety was significantly higher than that from a northern variety.Molecular docking and mutagenesis experiments revealed that amino acid residues at sites 9 and 35 may contribute to this difference in catalytic efficiency.Additionally, under cold stress, the expression levels of both CYP450 genes and the saikosaponin contents in the leaves of southern varieties were significantly higher compared to those in northern varieties. The variation in the catalytic efficiency of CYP716A41 and the differential expression of the two CYP450 genes under cold stress during winter are associated with the differences in saikosaponin biosynthesis in the leaves of southern and northern B.chinense varieties. This is consistent with the distinct medicinal usage practices observed between southern and northern China.

文摘Spinal cord injury represents a severe form of central nervous system trauma for which effective treatments remain limited.Microglia is the resident immune cells of the central nervous system, play a critical role in spinal cord injury.Previous studies have shown that microglia can promote neuronal survival by phagocytosing dead cells and debris and by releasing neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory factors. However, excessive activation of microglia can lead to persistent inflammation and contribute to the formation of glial scars, which hinder axonal regeneration.Despite this, the precise role and mechanisms of microglia during the acute phase of spinal cord injury remain controversial and poorly understood. To elucidate the role of microglia in spinal cord injury,we employed the colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor inhibitor PLX5622 to deplete microglia. We observed that sustained depletion of microglia resulted in an expansion of the lesion area, downregulation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor, and impaired functional recovery after spinal cord injury.Next,we generated a transgenic mouse line with conditional overexpression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor specifically in microglia. We found that brain-derived neurotrophic factor overexpression in microglia increased angiogenesis and blood flow following spinal cord injury and facilitated the recovery of hindlimb motor function.Additionally,brain-derived neurotrophic factor overexpression in microglia reduced inflammation and neuronal apoptosis during the acute phase of spinal cord injury.Furthermore, through using specific transgenic mouse lines,TMEM119,and the colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor inhibitor PLX73086,we demonstrated that the neuroprotective effects were predominantly due to brain-derived neurotrophic factor overexpression in microglia rather than macrophages. In conclusion, our findings suggest the critical role of microglia in the formation of protective glial scars.Depleting microglia is detrimental to recovery of spinal cord injury, whereas targeting brain-derived neurotrophic factor overexpression in microglia represents a promising and novel therapeutic strategy to enhance motor function recovery in patients with spinal cord injury.

文摘Background:Amid the global rise in adolescent sedentary behavior and psychological distress, extant research has largely focused on variable-level associations, neglecting symptom-level interactions. This study applies network analysis, aims to delineate the interconnections among sedentary time, social support, social exclusion, and psychological distress in Chinese students, and to identify core and bridge symptoms to inform targeted interventions. Methods:This study employed a cross-sectional design to investigate the complex relationships among sedentary behavior, social support, social exclusion, and psychological distress among Chinese students. The research involved 459 high school and university students, using network analysis and mediation models to examine these relationships. Results:Network analysis revealed that the network had a density of 58.33%and an average edge weight of 0.11.In terms of centrality, stress had the highest expected influence(EI=1.135),acting as the core amplifier in the network.Sedentary behavior demonstrated the highest bridging expected influence, functioning as a critical bridge for cross-community transmission.Conversely, friend support showed the lowest bridging EI with a negative value, indicating its effectiveness in blocking cross-community diffusion and alleviating symptoms. Conclusion:With stress acting as the most influential“core engine”within the symptom network and sedentary behavior serving as the key“bridge”for cross-community transmission, interventions should first target stress to weaken the overall symptom cascade, followed by reducing sedentary behavior or enhancing friend support to disrupt cross-community pathways, thereby achieving a core-bridge dual blockade.
文摘This study investigated the effects of parental involvement, parenting stress, and social support on the social skills of school-aged children(6-18 years old)with intellectual disabilities(ID).Data were collected from 280 Chinese parents(mothers=70.0%,fathers=30.0%)of children with ID through purposive sampling and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling(PLS-SEM).The results indicated that parental involvement not only directly enhanced children’s social skills but also indirectly improved them by alleviating parenting stress, which acted as a partial mediator.Contrary to the stress-buffering hypothesis, social support did not moderate the negative impact of parenting stress on social skills.Theoretically, this study contributes by validating ecological systems theory through a shift in focus from individual deficits to family systems, while also challenging the conventional view of stress-buffering theory.Accordingly,parent-support programs should integrate practical involvement training with systematic stress reduction and provide tailored assistance such as behavior-management training and respite care.

文摘Background:In the Chinese context, the impact of short video applications on the psychological well-being of older adults is contested. While often examined through a pathological lens of addiction, this perspective may overlook paradoxical,context-dependent positive outcomes. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to challenge the traditional Compensatory Internet Use Theory by proposing and testing a chained mediation model that explores a paradoxical pathway from social support to life satisfaction via problematic social media use. Methods:Data were collected between July and August 2025 via the Credamo online survey platform, yielding 384 valid responses from Chinese older adults aged 60 and above.Key constructs were assessed using the Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale(BSMAS),Simplified UCLA Loneliness Scale, and Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS).A chained mediation model was tested using stepwise regression and non-parametric bootstrapping(5000 resamples),controlling for age, gender, household income, and health status. Results:The analysis revealed a paradoxical pathway, which was clarified by a key statistical suppression effect.Social support significantly and positively predicted problematic usage(β=0.157,p=0.002).After controlling for the suppressor effect of social support, problematic usage in turn negatively predicted social connectedness(β=−0.177,p<0.001).Finally,reduced social connectedness—reflecting a state of solitude—positively predicted life satisfaction(β=−0.227,p<0.001).Conclusion:The findings suggest that for older adults with sufficient offline social support, these resources may serve a“social empowerment”function. This empowerment allows behaviors measured as“problematic usage”to be theoretically reframed as a form of“deep immersive entertainment”.This immersion appears to occur alongside a state of“high-quality solitude”,which ultimately is associated with higher life satisfaction. This study provides a novel,non-pathological theoretical perspective on the consequences of high engagement with emerging social media, offering empirical grounds for non-abstinence-based intervention strategies.
