Background:The mental health challenges faced by police officers due to high-stress work environments necessitate effective interventions.Cognitive-behavioral therapy(CBT)has shown promise in addressing mental health ...Background:The mental health challenges faced by police officers due to high-stress work environments necessitate effective interventions.Cognitive-behavioral therapy(CBT)has shown promise in addressing mental health issues,and this study aims to evaluate the efficacy of smartphone-based cognitive-behavioral therapy(SCBT)in improving mental health outcomes among police officers.This intervention could provide a reference for enhancing mental health literacy and resilience in this population.Methods:A randomized controlled trial(RCT)design was employed,involving 291 police officers who were randomly assigned to either the SCBT intervention group(n=145)or the control group(n=146).Participants completed pre-and post-intervention assessments using the Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90),which measures multiple psychological symptoms including somatization,obsessive-compulsiveness,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,hostility,phobic anxiety,paranoid ideation,and psychoticism.Statistical analyses were conducted to examine group differences in symptom severity and effect sizes.Results:Post-intervention results indicated significant reductions in somatization,obsessivecompulsiveness,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,hostility,phobic anxiety,paranoid ideation,and psychoticism,with large effect sizes observed in the intervention group.Notably,the intervention group showed significantly greater improvements compared to the control group,particularly in overall psychological distress as measured by the total SCL-90 score.However,significant reductions in interpersonal sensitivity and paranoid ideation were also observed in the control group,suggesting external factors may have influenced these dimensions.Conclusion:SCBT demonstrated efficacy in reducing psychological distress among police officers,offering a flexible and accessible mental health intervention.However,challenges such as high dropout rates and the complex,dynamic nature of mental health warrant further investigation.Future studies should explore targeted interventions for specific behavioral issues and consider SCBT as a supplementary tool alongside traditional psychotherapy.展开更多

The purpose of the paper is to analyse the effectiveness of a solution known as road condition tool(RCT)based on data crowdsourcing from smartphones users in the transport system.The tool developed by the author of th...The purpose of the paper is to analyse the effectiveness of a solution known as road condition tool(RCT)based on data crowdsourcing from smartphones users in the transport system.The tool developed by the author of the paper,enabling identification and assessment of road pavement defects by analysing the dynamics of vehicle motion in the road network.Transport system users equipped with a smartphone with the RCT mobile application on board record data of linear accelerations,speed,and vehicle location,and then,without any intervention,send them to the RCT server database in an aggregated form.The aggregated data are processed in the combined time and location criterion,and the road pavement condition assessment index is estimated for fixed 10 m long measuring sections.The measuring sections correspond to the sections of roads defined in the pavement management systems(PMS)used by municipal road infrastructure administration bodies.Both the research in question and the results obtained by the method proposed for purposes of the road pavement condition assessment were compared with a set of reference data of the road infrastructure administration body which conducted surveys using highly specialised measuring equipment.The results of this comparison,performed using binary classifiers,confirm the potential RCT solution proposed by the author.This solution makes it possible to global monitor the road infrastructure condition on a continuous basis via numerous users of the transport system,which guarantees that such an assessment is kept up to date.展开更多
Histopathology plays a great role in diagnosing various diseases,which is considered as a golden standard for tumor identification.The tissue constituents must be stained by visible labels for microscopic analysis by ...Histopathology plays a great role in diagnosing various diseases,which is considered as a golden standard for tumor identification.The tissue constituents must be stained by visible labels for microscopic analysis by medical experts.However,this process is time-consuming,labor-intensive,and expensive,which requires rapid pathological approaches for diagnosis in the operating room.Here,we present an easy-to-process and high-performance perovskite biological probes for rapid and visual pathological diagnosis of glioma.Perovskite quantum dots can be encapsulated by the copolymer into nanocrystals(PNCs)with a diameter of 100 nm,which is modified with chlorotoxin to achieve the specific recognition of glioma.Benefiting from the super photoluminescence quantum yield(above 93%)of EVA@PNCs aqueous solution,the glioma can be clearly imaged and captured via a smartphone under the excitation of a handheld UV lamp.To demonstrate the visualization and efficiency of PNC probes,different malignant grades of brain tumor sections can be distinguished in no more than 5 min.This strategy provides a general auxiliary diagnosis platform for achieving the histopathology analysis near the operating bed,which is currently not feasible with standard histochemical staining methods.展开更多
