Objective The study of medicine formulas is a core component of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),yet traditional learning methods often lack interactivity and contextual understanding,making it challenging for beginn...Objective The study of medicine formulas is a core component of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),yet traditional learning methods often lack interactivity and contextual understanding,making it challenging for beginners to grasp the intricate composition rules of formulas.To address this gap,we introduce Formula-S,a situated visualization method for TCM formula learning in augmented reality(AR)and evaluate its performance.This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Formula-S in enhancing TCM formula learning for beginners by comparing it with traditional text-based formula learning and web-based visualization.Methods Formula-S is an interactive AR tool designed for TCM formula learning,featuring three modes(3D,Web,and Table).The dataset included TCM formulas and herb properties extracted from authoritative references,including textbook and the SymMap database.In Formula-S,the hierarchical visualization of the formulas as herbal medicine compositions,is linked to the multidimensional herb attribute visualization and embedded in the real world,where real herb samples are presented.To evaluate its effectiveness,a controlled study(n=30)was conducted.Participants who had no formal TCM knowledge were tasked with herbal medicine identification,formula composition,and recognition.In the study,participants interacted with the AR tool through HoloLens 2.Data were collected on both task performance(accuracy and response time)and user experience,with a focus on task efficiency,accuracy,and user preference across the different learning modes.Results The situated visualization method of Formula-S had comparable accuracy to other methods but shorter response time for herbal formula learning tasks.Regarding user experience,our new approach demonstrated the highest system usability and lowest task load,effectively reducing cognitive load and allowing users to complete tasks with greater ease and efficiency.Participants reported that Formula-S enhanced their learning experience through its intuitive interface and immersive AR environment,suggesting this approach offers usability advantages for TCM education.Conclusions The situated visualization method in Formula-S offers more efficient and accurate searching capabilities compared to traditional and web-based methods.Additionally,it provides superior contextual understanding of TCM formulas,making it a promising new solution for TCM learning.展开更多

From the study, it is found that most of the students showed their positive attitudes towards situated learning approach applied in their interpretation course and enjoyed their learning in such learning enviroment. However, there is still a long way to go to achieve their satisfaction. Previous studies observedassociations between features of emerging adulthood and PA levels, while the potential psychological mechanisms that mightexplain this phenomenon are not fully understood. In this context, there is some evidence that situated decisions towardphysical activity (SDPA) and exercise-intensity tolerance might influence PA level. To provide empirical support for thisassumption, the current study investigated whether (i) features of emerging adulthood are linked to SDPA, which, in turn,might affect PA engagement;(ii) exercise-intensity tolerance moderate the relationship between SDPA and PA level;and (iii)SDPA is a mediator of the relationship between features of emerging adulthood and PA levels under the prerequisite thatexercise-intensity tolerance moderates the link between SDPA and PA engagement. In this study a group of 1,706 Chinesecollege students was recruited and asked to complete a set of questionnaires assessing their SDPA, PA levels, exercise-intensitytolerance, and features associated with emerging adulthood, namely Self-exploration, Instability, and Possibility. Our resultsindicated that SDPA positively predicted PA levels and this relationship became stronger when exercise-intensity tolerance wasused as a moderator. Furthermore, it was observed that individuals with a higher level of Instability and a lower level ofPossibility during emerging adulthood exhibited a lower level of SDPA. According to Lave and Wenger （1991）, learning should not be viewed as simply the transmission of abstract and decontextualised knowledge from one individual to another, but a social process whereby knowledge is co-constructed. The exposure to spoken language and cultural elements of foreign language is the best way of teaching the language itself rather than grammatical patterns and rules of the language. In this study, we aim to review ＂situational learning approach＂ in context with its role and efficiency of teaching spoken language. An experimental study was conducted on the university students in the preparatory classes at the School of Tourism of Erzincan University. Twelve male and 11 female students in the control group and 14 male and 10 female students in the experimental group took part in the research. The language levels of the students were determined by a language proficiency test which is used as pre-test of the study. Language proficiency test composed of mainly dialogues including spoken language patterns. After eight weeks of lectures with authentic sketches which were used as reading materials in experimental group and classical reading materials in control group, the students were given the same language proficiency test as post-test. When pre- and post-test results were evaluated, significant difference was found between the pre- and post-test results of the subjects on behalf of the students in the experimental group. It is concluded that spoken language can be achieved by authentic sketches which are designed to serve as a situated learning setting.展开更多

In the information age, the innovative technologies of mobile devices make the dramatical changes in ways of teaching and learning （Atkinson, 2011; Bierstaker, Janvrin ＆ Lowe, 2014, Pittaway, 2012; Yang ＆ Che, 2015）. The focus of this study aims to examine ESP college students＇ English learning performance by using Context Aware Mobile Situated Learning （CAMSL） in Tourism and Hospitality Management field and other majors. The mixed research method is conducted for data collection and analysis. The quantitative data are collected by examining students＇ learning performance; the qualitative data are allowed to understand the students＇ perspective toward their role in using the CAMSL with Tourism related content. Eight-three students are randomly selected and divided into two groups： 42 students are assigned in the experimental group A （CAMSL）, and 41 students are assigned in control group. Two groups of students receive pretest and posttest to examine their English performance. Besides, twenty students from group A and B are selected for online survey. The survey is mailed directly to students＇ email account. Results represented by using CAMSL show the significant improvement on students＇ learning performance. In addition, the survey data indicate the benefits of using the CAMSL help students enhance their academic discourse, develop their learned knowledge to represent their profession, use English properly to speak themselves up, and provide the effectiveness of obtain domain knowledge in future workplace.展开更多

Norms regulate the actions of human actors based on the dynamics of the environment in which they are situated. This dynamics results from both environment evolution and actors' actions. Our objective is to situate norms in the environment in order to provide a context-aware crisis regulation. However, this coupling must be a loose one to keep both levels independent and easyto-change in order to face the complex and changing crisis situations. To that aim, we introduce a constitutive level between environmental and normative states providing a loose coupling of normative regulation with environment evolution. Norms are thus no more referring to environmental facts but to status functions, i.e., the institutional interpretation of environmental facts through constitutive rules. We present how this declarative and distinct SAI modelling succeeds in managing the crisis with a context-aware crisis regulation.展开更多

The survey is mailed directly to students＇ email account. Results represented by using CAMSL show the significant improvement on students＇ learning performance. In addition, the survey data indicate the benefits of using the CAMSL help students enhance their academic discourse, develop their learned knowledge to represent their profession, use English properly to speak themselves up, and provide the effectiveness of obtain domain knowledge in future workplace.

文摘Situated learning method in western educational culture holds that effective education requires learning that is embedded in authentic contexts of practice,wherein students engage in increasingly more complex tasks within social communities.One of the Chinese situated learing methods,hich had been proposed and practiced by Li has high similarities with counterpartners on knowledge acquisition.In this essay,the researcher compared the situated learning method in west and its development in China based on Li’s exploration,contrasting participatory and acquisitive learning models as they apply in classroom settings.The dialogue indicates that no matter in west and in Chinese classroom,situated learning is one of effective methods.This study emphysizes the fact that teacher acts as a provider,facilitator,and mediator of knowledge;students are able to learn from that knowledge and practice it in group activities.In turn,students arrive at a new level of knowledge and understanding based on their experience as a real practitioner in the group or community.The different norms and values attached to participation and acquisition complement one another,and either one alone would be insufficient.The researcher then assess Chinese literacy education in Li’s situated learning methods.It suggests that a blend of participatory and acquisitive learning models may be the most effective approach to classroom instruction.
文摘In response to the growing demand for data-driven competencies in the digital economy,this study develops and implements the“E-commerce Operations and Statistical Analysis Virtual Simula-tion Experiment”under the framework of China’s“New Business Disciplines”initiative.Built on a B2B2C high-fidelity architecture,the platform integrates business operations with statistical modeling through a closed-loop“operate generate analyze decide”data sandbox.Grounded in situated learning and Legitimate Peripheral Participation(LPP),it establishes a digital apprenticeship pathway that guides students from peripheral operational tasks toward central roles as data-driven strategists.A dual-phase design combining case-based and project-based learning provides scaf-folding for this progression.Mixed-methods evaluation demonstrates significant improvements in students’data literacy,model application,and strategic interpretation skills,with both process and outcome assessments showing strong results.The study contributes a replicable simulation analysis integration paradigm that effectively bridges the gap between academic theory and practical indus-try requirements.It offers a scalable pedagogical model for digital curriculum reform and industry university collaboration,providing robust evidence for cultivating data-fluent business professionals in the era of digital transformation.
文摘In this paper, we propose a behaviorbased path planner that can self learn in anunknown environment. A situated learning algorithm is designed which allows therobot to learn to coordinate several concurrent behaviors and improve its performanceby interacting with the environmellt. Behaviors are implemented using CMAC neuralnetworks. A simulation environment is set up and some simulation experiments arecarried out to rest our learning algorithm.

文摘This paper highlights the use of situated artificial institution(SAI) within a hybrid, interactive,normative multi-agent system to regulate human collaboration in crisis management. Norms regulate the actions of human actors based on the dynamics of the environment in which they are situated. This dynamics results from both environment evolution and actors' actions. Our objective is to situate norms in the environment in order to provide a context-aware crisis regulation. However, this coupling must be a loose one to keep both levels independent and easyto-change in order to face the complex and changing crisis situations. To that aim, we introduce a constitutive level between environmental and normative states providing a loose coupling of normative regulation with environment evolution. Norms are thus no more referring to environmental facts but to status functions, i.e., the institutional interpretation of environmental facts through constitutive rules. We present how this declarative and distinct SAI modelling succeeds in managing the crisis with a context-aware crisis regulation.
文摘BACKGROUND Systematic review focuses on the visual patient avatar(VPA)technology,a tool designed to enhance situational awareness in anesthesia by transforming traditional numerical data into intuitive visual displays.AIM To explore how VPA can improve perceptual performance,reduce cognitive load,and increase user acceptance,potentially leading to better patient outcomes.METHODS The review is based on 14 studies conducted between 2018 and 2023 in five different hospitals across Europe.RESULTS These studies demonstrate that VPA allows clinicians to perceive and recall vital signs more efficiently than conventional monitoring methods.The technology’s intuitive design helps reduce cognitive workload,indicating less mental effort required for patient monitoring.Users’feedback on VPA was generally positive,highlighting its potential to enhance monitoring and decision-making in highstress environments.However,some users noted the need for further development,particularly in visualization design and data integration.CONCLUSION Review concludes that VPA technology represents a significant advancement in patient monitoring,promoting better situational awareness and potentially improving safety in perioperative care.
文摘Battlefield situation awareness is equivalent to the observation and orientation part of the Observation-Orientation-Decision-Action(OODA)loop.It is the key to transforming information advantage into decision-making advantages and an essential support for agile command decision-making.With the rapid rise and widespread application of various advanced intelligent technologies and model algorithms in the military field,traditional situation awareness technology and capacity building are facing great challenges.Relying solely on manual processing of battlefield situational data is no longer sufficient to meet the changing needs of the battlefield,nor can it provide commanders with real-time,accurate,efficient,and reliable situational information.Therefore,it is necessary to use highperformance hardware facilities and artificial intelligence technology to process massive battlefield data and provide an important reference basis for commanders to implement decision-making behaviors.

文摘With the accelerating urbanization process,issues related to the urban ecological environment have become increasingly prominent.Among these,greenway optimization is regarded as one of the key approaches to improving urban ecological quality.As the capital of Anhui Province,Hefei is striving to build a comprehensive greenway network in line with its“Park City”strategy.However,the current development of Hefei’s greenways faces challenges such as delayed planning,limited functions,inadequate facilities,and weak operation and maintenance management.In this study,comparative analysis and literature review were combined to comprehensively summarize the current characteristics of greenway development in Hefei,and improvement suggestions were proposed in areas such as ecological restoration,functional expansion,facility establishment,and long-term management.It is suggested that Hefei should enhance the systematic and synergistic nature of its greenway system,create a city green space network with regional characteristics,and optimize the city’s environmental carrying capacity,so as to meet the diverse needs of the public and thereby provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the sustainable development of Hefei’s greenway system.
文摘Wireless networks support numerous terminals,manage large data volumes,and provide diverse services,but the vulnerability to environmental changes leads to increased complexity and costs.Situational awareness has been widely applied in network management,but existing methods fail to find optimal solutions due to the high heterogeneity of base stations,numerous metrics,and complex intercell dependencies.To address this gap,this paper proposes a specialized framework for wireless networks,integrating an evaluation model and control approach.The framework expands the indicator set into four key areas,introduces an evaluation method,and proposes the indicator perturbation greedy(IPG)algorithm and the adjustment scheme selection method based on damping coefficient(DCSS)for effective network optimization.A case study in an urban area demonstrates the framework’s ability to balance and improve network performance,enhancing situational awareness and operational efficiency under dynamic conditions.
文摘Starting from the issues related to the construction and management of customs supervision places for railway and water transportation,this paper systematically analyzes the problems and challenges in the facility layout of customs operation places,the construction of a public platform for customs and port logistics monitoring,the utilization of information and data,and the intensity of technological innovation.Based on in-depth research,this paper attempts to propose improvement strategies and suggestions in terms of scientifically planning the layout of customs supervision places for railway and water transportation,improving the operation of the logistics monitoring public platform,developing and utilizing the information and data system,building a smart customs,and innovating the supervision mode.This aims to further optimize the customs supervision process,improve supervision efficiency and accuracy,and provide a reference for the facilitation and safe development of international trade.
