This study investigates the current status,challenges,and strategies for enhancing international cooperation and exchange at Jiangxi University of Technology.Through in-depth interviews and questionnaire surveys,the r...This study investigates the current status,challenges,and strategies for enhancing international cooperation and exchange at Jiangxi University of Technology.Through in-depth interviews and questionnaire surveys,the research identifies key issues such as low participation rates,lack of funding,insufficient publicity,and the need for a more robust international faculty team.The findings reveal significant challenges in policy implementation,resource allocation,and faculty development.To address these challenges,the study proposes a series of countermeasures,including the formulation of a comprehensive internationalization strategy,enhanced publicity and promotion of international projects,increased financial support,and the development of an internationalized faculty and management team.The study concludes that implementing these strategies can enhance the university’s internationalization efforts and improve its overall capacity for international cooperation and exchange.展开更多

An improved approach is presented in this paper to implement highly constrained cooperative guidance to attack a stationary target.The problem with time-varying Proportional Navigation(PN)gain is first formulated as a...An improved approach is presented in this paper to implement highly constrained cooperative guidance to attack a stationary target.The problem with time-varying Proportional Navigation(PN)gain is first formulated as a nonlinear optimal control problem,which is difficult to solve due to the existence of nonlinear kinematics and nonconvex constraints.After convexification treatments and discretization,the solution to the original problem can be approximately obtained by solving a sequence of Second-Order Cone Programming(SOCP)problems,which can be readily solved by state-of-the-art Interior-Point Methods(IPMs).To mitigate the sensibility of the algorithm on the user-provided initial profile,a Two-Stage Sequential Convex Programming(TSSCP)method is presented in detail.Furthermore,numerical simulations under different mission scenarios are conducted to show the superiority of the proposed method in solving the cooperative guidance problem.The research indicated that the TSSCP method is more tractable and reliable than the traditional methods and has great potential for real-time processing and on-board implementation.展开更多

A qualitative case study method was used to understand the GI system used by Ch...This study investigated the application and the effect of Group Investigation(GI) in the College English Program in a Chinese University. A qualitative case study method was used to understand the GI system used by Chinese instructors as well as the achievements acquired and challenges met by the participants. Three instructors and fifteen second-year-undergraduates taking a course titled Sources of European Culture participated. Interviews, observations, and documents were used to collect the data. Data analysis showed Chinese instructors applied a GI technique similar to that discussed by Johnson and Johnson(1999); however, GI in the Chinese context demanded more effort from the teacher for designing tasks and provided help in modeling uses of English and in preparing visual, especially Power Point, presentations. Although participants used their mother tongue at some stages, their autonomy over English learning was activated, and horizons in the course content were broadened.展开更多
