The proposed model employs the combination of a two-ring model and a multiple confocal ellipses model, where the signal is sum of the line-of-sight(Lo S) component, single-bounced(SB) rays, and double-bounced(DB) rays. Based on the reference model, we derive some expressions of channel statistical properties, including space-time correlation function(STCF), Doppler spectral power density(DPSD), envelope level crossing rate(LCR) and average fade duration(AFD). In addition, corresponding deterministic and stochastic simulation models are developed based on the reference model. Moreover, we compare the statistical properties of the reference model and the two simulation models in different scenarios and investigate the impact of different vehicular traffic densities(VTDs) on the channel statistical properties of the proposed model. Finally, the great agreement between simulation models and the reference model demonstrates not only the utility of simulation models, but also the correctness of theoretical derivations and simulations.展开更多

The shallow gassy soils significantly affect the construction of underground projects. Proper characterization of spatial distribution of shallow gassy soils is indispensable prior to construction of underground projects in the area. Due to the costly conditions required in the site investigation for gassy soils, only a limited number of gas pressure data can be obtained in engineering practice, which leads to the uncertainty in characterizing spatial distribution of gassy soils. Determining the number of boreholes for investigating gassy soils and their corresponding locations is pivotal to reducing construction risk induced by gassy soils. However, this primarily relies on the engineering experience in the current site investigation practice. This study develops a probabilistic site investigation optimization method for planning investigation schemes (including the number and locations of boreholes) of gassy soils based on the conditional random field and Monte Carlo simulation. The proposed method aims to provide an optimal investigation scheme before the site investigation based on prior knowledge. Finally, the proposed approach is illustrated using a case study.展开更多

文摘In this paper, we consider a novel two-dimensional(2D) geometry-based stochastic model(GBSM) for multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V) wideband fading channels. Finally, the great agreement between simulation models and the reference model demonstrates not only the utility of simulation models, but also the correctness of theoretical derivations and simulations.

文摘Recent progress in microwave absorption materials stimulates the extensive exploration of rare earth oxide materials.Herein,we report the synthesis of a hollow sphere-based carbon material compounded with rare earth oxides.Hollow N-doped carbon nano-spheres loaded ceria composites(H-NC@CeO_(2))were designed and prepared by the template method, combined with in-situ coating, pyrolysis and chemical etching.By controlling the loading content of H-NC@CeO_(2)and adjusting the impedance matching of the material, the H-NC@CeO_(2)/PS(polystyrene)composite exhibited a minimum reflection loss(RL)of-50.8 dB and an effective absorption band-width(EAB)of 4.64 GHz at a filler ratio of 20wt%and a thickness of 2 mm.In accordance with measured electromagnetic parameters, simulations using the high frequency structure simulator(HFSS)software were conducted to investigate the impact of the honeycomb structure on the electromagnetic wave performance of H-NC@CeO_(2)/PS.By calculating the surface electric field and the material’s bulk loss density, the mechanism of electromagnetic loss for the honeycomb structure was elaborated.A method for structural design and man-ufacturing of broadband absorbing devices was proposed and a broadband absorber with an EAB of 11.9 GHz was prepared. This study presents an innovative approach to designing advanced electromagnetic(EM)wave absorbing materials with broad absorption band-widths.

文摘The uplift resistance of the soil overlying shield tunnels significantly impacts their anti-floating stability. However, research on uplift resistance concerning special-shaped shield tunnels is limited. This study combines numerical simulation with machine learning techniques to explore this issue. It presents a summary of special-shaped tunnel geometries and introduces a shape coefficient.Through the finite element software,Plaxis3D,the study simulates six key parameters—shape coefficient, burial depth ratio, tunnel’s longest horizontal length, internal friction angle, cohesion, and soil submerged bulk density—that impact uplift resistance across different conditions.Employing XGBoost and ANN methods, the feature importance of each parameter was analyzed based on the numerical simulation results. The findings demonstrate that a tunnel shape more closely resembling a circle leads to reduced uplift resistance in the overlying soil, whereas other parameters exhibit the contrary effects.Furthermore, the study reveals a diminishing trend in the feature importance of buried depth ratio, internal friction angle, tunnel longest horizontal length, cohesion, soil submerged bulk density, and shape coefficient in influencing uplift resistance.
文摘Most existing path planning approaches rely on discrete expansions or localized heuristics that can lead to extended re-planning,inefficient detours, and limited adaptability to complex obstacle distributions. These issues are particularly pronounced when navigating cluttered or large-scale environments that demand both global coverage and smooth trajectory generation. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a Wave Water Simulator(WWS)algorithm, leveraging a physically motivated wave equation to achieve inherently smooth, globally consistent path planning. In WWS,wavefront expansions naturally identify safe corridors while seamlessly avoiding local minima, and selective corridor focusing reduces computational overhead in large or dense maps.Comprehensive simulations and real-world validations-encompassing both indoor and outdoor scenarios-demonstrate that WWS reduces path length by 2%-13%compared to conventional methods, while preserving gentle curvature and robust obstacle clearance.Furthermore,WWS requires minimal parameter tuning across diverse domains, underscoring its broad applicability to warehouse robotics, field operations, and autonomous service vehicles. These findings confirm that the proposed wave-based framework not only bridges the gap between local heuristics and global coverage but also sets a promising direction for future extensions toward dynamic obstacle scenarios and multi-agent coordination.

文摘Using GNSS-R technology for remote sensing of surface parameters has become a new trend in the field of remote sensing. With the rapid development of GNSS-R technology,GNSS-R simulation has become one of the new hot spots. Now the researches of the GNSS-R simulation are all the simulations that consider a single star or a single frequency point, and in actual applications, the signal captured by the receiver is often the reflected signals of multiple stars. In view of this situation, from the perspective of multi-satellite simulation, this paper gives the model of GNSS-R multi-satellite ocean simulation on the basis of analyzing the remote sensing principle, reflection signal model and simulation principle of GNSS-R technology.Based on the GNSS-R multi-satellite ocean simulation model and the fast parallel computing capability of GPU,the GNSS-R multi-satellite ocean simulator was designed. Finally, the direct and reflected signals generated by the GNSS-R multi-satellite simulator were tested and verified. The results show that the positioning result of the direct signal meets the positioning accuracy requirements; The delay-related power results obtained from the simulated two-satellite reflected signals processing are in good agreement with the theoretical model, and the correlation coefficients are all above 0.99;The generated signals are used for GNSS-R height measurement technology, the height measurement error is about 1.4~1.8 m,which is in line with the accuracy of the C/A code ranging receiver; And the parallel operation of the GPU for multi-satellite simulation calculation is 800—900 times higher than the traditional CPU calculation. It proves that the proposed model and the designed simulator are feasible and accurate.

文摘In recent years,train-tail swaying of 160 km/h electric multiple units(EMUs)inside single-line tunnels has been heavily researched, because the issue needs to be solved urgently. In this paper,a co-simulation model of vortex-induced vibration(VIV)of the tail car body is established, and the aerodynamics of train-tail swaying is studied. The simulation results were confirmed through a field test of operating EMUs.Furthermore, the influence mechanism of train-tail swaying on the wake flow field is studied in detail through a wind-tunnel experiment and a simulation of a reduced-scaled train model. The results demonstrate that the aerodynamic force frequency(i.e.,vortex-induced frequency)of the train tail increases linearly with train speed. When the train runs at 130 km/h,with a small amplitude of train-tail swaying(within 10 mm),the vortex-induced frequency is 1.7 Hz,which primarily depends on the nose shape of the train tail. After the tail car body nose is extended, the vortex-induced frequency is decreased. As the swaying amplitude of the train tail increases(exceeding 25 mm),the separation point of the high-intensity vortex in the train wake shifts downstream to the nose tip,and the vortex-induced frequency shifts from 1.7 Hz to the nearby car body hunting(i.e.,the primary hunting)frequency of 1.3 Hz,which leads to the frequency-locking phenomenon of VIV,and the resonance intensifies train-tail swaying. For the motor vehicle of the train tail, optimization of the yaw damper to improve its primary hunting stability can effectively alleviate train-tail swaying inside single-line tunnels.Optimization of the tail car body nose shape reduces the amplitude of the vortex-induced force, thereby weakening the aerodynamic effect and solving the problem of train-tail swaying inside the single-line tunnels.
文摘Gassy soils are distributed in relatively shallow layers the Quaternary deposit in Hangzhou Bay area. Finally, the proposed approach is illustrated using a case study.
文摘During the propagation of high-power lasers within internal channels, the laser beam heats the propagation medium, causing the thermal blooming effect that degrades the beam quality at the output. The intricate configuration of the optical path within the internal channel necessitates complex and time-consuming efforts to assess the impact of thermal blooming effect on the optical path.To meet the engineering need for rapid evaluation of thermal blooming effect in optical paths, this study proposed a rapid simulation method for the thermal blooming effect in internal optical paths based on the finite element method. This method discretized the fluid region into infinitesimal elements and employed finite element method for flow field analysis.A simplified analytical model of the flow field region in complex internal channels was established, and regions with similar thermal blooming effect were divided within this model.Based on the calculated optical path differences within these regions, numerical simulations of phase distortion caused by thermal blooming were conducted. The calculated result were compared with those obtained using the existing methods. The findings reveal that for complex optical paths, the discrepancy between the two approaches is less than 3.6%,with similar phase distortion patterns observed. For L-type units, this method and the existing methods identify the same primary factors influencing aberrations and exhibit consistent trends in their variation. This method was used to analyze the impact of thermal blooming effect in a straight channel under different gravity directions. The results show that phase distortion varies with changes in the direction of gravity, and the magnitude of the phase difference is strongly correlated with the component of gravity perpendicular to the optical axis.Compared to the existing methods, this approach offers greater flexibility, obviates the need for complex custom analysis programming. The analytical results of this method enable a rapid assessment of the thermal blooming effect in optical paths within the internal channel. This is especially useful during the engineering design. These results also provide crucial references for developing strategies to suppress thermal blooming effect.

文摘UHMWPE fibers exhibit impressive modulus and strength, but they have not reached their theoretical limits.Researchers focus on molecular weight, orientation, and crystallinity of UHMWPE,yet their contributions to mechanical properties are unclear.Molecular dynamics simulations are valuable but often limited by computational constraints. Our aim is to simulate higher molecular weights to better represent real UHMWPE fibers. We used Packmol and Polyply methodologies to construct PE systems, with Polyply reproducing more reasonable properties of UHMWPE fibers.Additionally, tensile simulations showed that orientation and crystallinity greatly impact Young's modulus more than molecular weight.Energy decomposition indicated that higher molecular weights lead to covalent bonds that can withstand more energy during stretching, thus increasing breaking strength.Combining simulations with machine learning,we found that orientation has the most significant impact on Young's modulus, contributing 60%,and molecular weight plays the most crucial role in determining the breaking strength, accounting for 65%.This study provides a theoretical basis and guidelines for enhancing UHMWPE's modulus and strength.
文摘Objective:While technical operating skills and clinical knowledge are often the goals of surgical training, for overall competency, the required skill set goes far beyond these.Social and cognitive abilities in the form of non-technical skills(NTS)are indispensable competencies that complement a surgeon’s procedural efficiency and contribute towards patient safety. The NTS are classified into three unique groups:cognitive(decision-making and situational awareness),social(leadership, teamwork, and communication),and personal resource factors(an individual’s ability to manage fatigue and stress).Inadequacy in the aforementioned is often the underlying cause of detrimental operating room outcomes and surgical errors universally. Methods:This review looks at various components of NTS and evaluation tools currently in use, their importance in urological training, and the need to introduce a formal programme. This would not only complement technical skills, but also serve as an integral and mandatory part of training years for all grades of urologists. Results:Assessment of NTS through comprehensively validated rating tools allows for the evaluation of skills and therefore finds room for improvement in competencies.Commonly used systems include the Non-Technical Skills for Surgeons(NOTSS),Non-Technical Skills(NOTECHS),and Observational Teamwork Assessment for Surgery(OTAS).Conclusion:The significance of associating team culture with the safety of surgery is increasingly recognised, given that human error is unavoidable and hard to eradicate.Whilst we now have a clear definition of the NTS and their importance in surgery and the operating theatre, there is still a lack of a validated and standardised NTS training programme directed at urologists, and that is applicable to all levels, whether they be trainees or consultants.Simulation-based learning is an excellent avenue for progressing surgical education and should be taken advantage of in developing a curriculum that is mandatory for NTS training in urology.
