The experiment showed that the dominant EOF modes remained the same. A numerical experiment is conducted to quantitatively compare the performance of the four rules in judging whether a coupled mode of SVD is significant as parameters such as the sample size, the number of grid points, and the signal-to-noise ratio vary. The results show that the four rules perform better with lower ratio of the number of grid points to sample size. Modified parallel analysis and nonparametric bootstrap perform best to abandon the spurious coupled modes, but the latter is better than the former to retain the significant coupled modes when the sample size is not much larger than the number of grid points. Parallel analysis and random-phase test are robust to abandon the spurious coupled modes only when either (1) the observations at the grid points are spatially uncorrelated, or (2) the coupled signal is very strong for parallel analysis and is not weak for random-phase test. The reasons affecting the accuracy of the test rules are discussed.展开更多
To examine the influence of the structural parameters and working parameters of a double-drum regeneration mixing station on its mixing uniformity,the influence of the discrete element method and response surface meth...To examine the influence of the structural parameters and working parameters of a double-drum regeneration mixing station on its mixing uniformity,the influence of the discrete element method and response surface method on the uniformity of the aggregate mixing when the interaction between two different factors was analyzed.A mathematical model of the influence of various factors and interactions on the coefficient of variation of the aggregates was established.The matching of each parameter was optimized with the goal of minimizing the coefficient of variation.The results show that when the aggregate particle size is different,the significance of each parameter affecting its mixing uniformity is also different.Moreover,increasing the speed and reducing the axial installation angle of the blade can reduce the coefficient of variation of the three aggregates.To obtain a good mixing uniformity,the mixing-arm phase angle when the drum inclination angle is large should be smaller than the phase angle when the drum inclination angle is small,and the mixing of large particles should not be arranged with a large mixing-arm phase angle.With a blade radial installation angle of 38°,a blade axial installation angle of 35°,a drum inclination angle of 6°,a drum rotation speed of 10 r/min,and a mixing-arm phase angle of 32°,the aggregate as a whole can exhibit the best mixing uniformity.展开更多

Two different types of natural fibers reinforced plastics (NFRP) laminate were incorporated into the new sandwich panel as an intermediate layer. The significance analysis in this research has been carried out using analysis of variance (ANOVA). As the aim of the analysis is to select the most appropriate natural fiber composites for the intermediate layer, the experiments were arranged as a single factor experiment in which 3 levels of a factor have been examined. The factor refers to the type of intermediate layer used in the sandwich panel. The result of this study shows that the incorporation of intermediate layer has significantly enhanced the load carrying capacity of the sandwich panels.展开更多

However, small sample sizes limit the clinical significance of...Background: Studies of gastrointestinal (GIT) cancers have shown that circZFR could be involved in the development and progression of various GIT cancers. However, small sample sizes limit the clinical significance of these studies. Here, a meta-analysis was conducted to ascertain the actual involvement of circZFR in the development and prognosis of GIT cancers. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library were searched up to December 31, 2023. Hazard ratios (HRs) or odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were pooled to evaluate the association between circZFR expression and overall survival (OS). Publication bias was measured using the funnel plot and Egger’s test. Results: 10 studies having 659 participants were enrolled for meta-analysis. High circZFR expression was associated with poor OS (HR = 1.4, 95% CI: 1.20, 1.70). High circZFR expression also predicted larger tumor size (OR = 4.38, 95% CI 2.65, 7.25), advanced clinical stage (OR = 5.33, 95% CI 3.10, 9.16), and tendency for distant metastasis (OR = 2.89, 95% CI: 1.62, 5.11), but was not related to age, gender, and histological grade. Conclusions: In summary, high circZFR expression was associated with poor OS, larger tumor size, advanced stage cancer and tendency for distant metastasis. These findings suggested that circZFR could be a prognostic marker for GIT cancers.展开更多
The evolution process and petroleum significance of two groups of fault structures,the NW-SE trending and near EW trending ones in the Cenozoic of Dongping-Niuzhong area of the Altyn slope,Qaidam Basin,were investigat...The evolution process and petroleum significance of two groups of fault structures,the NW-SE trending and near EW trending ones in the Cenozoic of Dongping-Niuzhong area of the Altyn slope,Qaidam Basin,were investigated using high precision 3-D seismic data.The NW-SE faults were generated in Oligocene,causing the formation of a series of folds related to transpression faults in the Niuzhong and Dongping area.After the Miocene,with the continuous extension of the Altyn Tagh strike-slip fault zone,the EW trending faults began to develop massively in Altyn slope.The activity of near EW trending faults and large-scale uplift of the bedrock in the northern Niuzhong area shared most of the compression torsion in Niuzhong and Dongping area,consequently,the activity of NW-SE trending faults weakened significantly after the Miocene.Then good hydrocarbon source rocks developed in the inherited Jurassic sags.The faults were effective pathways for oil and gas migration in Dongping and Niuzhong areas,and the oil and gas charging time matched well with the formation period of the NW-SE trending faults and their related structures,making the fault-related anticlines favorable targets for oil and gas accumulation.The Niuzhong area has been less affected by the Cenozoic movement after the Miocene,and thus has better conditions for gas reservoir preservation.展开更多

This phenomenon was initially confirmed to be due to seismic liquefaction. Many microscopic seismic relics,such as load structure,flow structure,cutoff plane and flotation of organic matter were found in the directional microscopic analysis of deformation. These discoveries and cognitions prove that there were two earthquake events taking place in the Western Zhou Dynasty-Late Spring and Autumn Period in this area. Above-mentioned works enrich and develop the research methods to identify prehistoric earthquake event in eastern China area to a certain extent.展开更多

Background: Significant portal hypertension(SPH) is a relative contraindication for patients with resectable hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). However, increasing evidence indicates that liver resection is feasible for H...Background: Significant portal hypertension(SPH) is a relative contraindication for patients with resectable hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). However, increasing evidence indicates that liver resection is feasible for HCC patients with SPH. Methods: HCC patients with cirrhosis who underwent laparoscopic liver resection(LLR) in two centers from January 2013 to April 2018 were included. Surgical and survival outcomes were analyzed to explore potential prognostic factors. Propensity score matching(PSM) analysis was performed to minimize bias. Results: A total of 165 patients were divided into two groups based on the presence(SPH, n = 76) or absence(non-SPH, n = 89) of SPH. Patients in the SPH group had longer operative time, more blood loss, and more advanced TNM stage than patients in the non-SPH group( P < 0.05). However, there were no significant differences in the postoperative 90-day mortality rate( n = 0), overall postoperative complications(47.4% vs. 41.6%, P = 0.455), Clavien-Dindo classification( P = 0.347), conversion to open surgery(9.2% vs. 6.7%, P = 0.557), or length of hospitalization(16 vs. 15 days, P = 0.203) between the SPH and non-SPH groups before PSM. Similar results were obtained after PSM. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival(OS) and recurrence-free survival rates in the SPH group were not significantly different from those in the non-SPH group both before and after PSM(log-rank P > 0.05). After PSM, alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) ≥ 400 μg/L [hazard ratio(HR) = 4.71, 95% confidence interval(CI): 2.69-8.25], ascites(HR = 2.18, 95% CI: 1.30-3.66), American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA) classification(Ⅲ vs. Ⅱ)(HR = 2.13, 95% CI: 1.11-4.07) and tumor diameter > 5 cm(HR = 3.91, 95% CI: 2.02-7.56) independently predicted worse OS. Conclusions: LLR for patients with HCC complicated with SPH appears feasible at the price of increasing operative time and blood loss. AFP, ascites, ASA classification and tumor diameter may predict the prognosis of HCC complicated with SPH after LLR.展开更多

The traditional methods of determining the design wave heights for planning marine structures use data only from the site of interest. Regional frequency analysis gives a new approach to estimate quantile by use of the homogeneous neighborhood informatian. A regional frequency analysis based on L-moments with a case study of the California coast is presented. The significant wave height data for the California coast is offered by NDBC. A 6-site region without 46023 is considered to be a homogeneous region, whose optimal regional distribution is Pearson Ⅲ. The test is conducted by a simulation process. The regional quantile is compared with the at-site quantile, and it is shown that efficient neighborhood information can be used via regional frequency analysis to give a reasonable estimation of the site without enough historical data.展开更多

For the purpose of mining CRC metastasis-associated genes, an integrated analysis of mJcroa...Objective: Identification of colorectal cancer (CRC) metastasis genes is one of the most important issues in CRC research. For the purpose of mining CRC metastasis-associated genes, an integrated analysis of mJcroarray data was presented, by combined with evidence acquired from comparative genornic hybridization (CGH) data. Methods: Gene expression profile data of CRC samples were obtained at Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) website. The 15 important chromosomal aberration sites detected by using CGH technology were used for integrated genomic and transcriptomic analysis. Significant Analysis of Microarray (SAM) was used to detect significantly differentially expressed genes across the whole genome. The overlapping genes were selected in their corresponding chromosomal aberration regions, and analyzed by using the Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery (DAVID). Finally, SVM-T-RFE gene selection algorithm was applied to identify ted genes in CRC. Results: A minimum gene set was obtained with the minimum number [14] of genes, and the highest classification accuracy (100%) in both PRI and META datasets. A fraction of selected genes are associated with CRC or its metastasis. Conclusions- Our results demonstrated that integration analysis is an effective strategy for mining cancer- associated genes.展开更多

Since the occurrence of the earthquake, there have been a huge number of research reports on the seismogenic structure and earthquake mechanism, but rare reports on the seismic landslides. As the largest earthquake recorded in the Qujiang fault zone, the study on the coseismic landslides triggered by this earthquake are of great significance to the prevention and mitigation of earthquake-induced landslides in this region. In this study, we established a coseismic landslide inventory for the VⅢ–X seismic intensity areas of the Ms 7.7 Tonghai earthquake, and conducted spatial analysis on the coseismic landslides, mainly having analyzed the effect of the topographic factors, geological factors, and seismic factors on the development of the coseismic landslides. To enhance the understanding of this earthquake, we converted the earthquake epicenter and magnitude with empirical formulas based on the distributions and areas of the coseismic landslides. Comparing with coseismic landslides in other earthquake-hit areas, we found the capability that this earthquake could induce landslides is low. This study provides a useful supplement to the global coseismic landslide inventories and could be the basic data for seismic landslide assessment in this earthquake-prone region.展开更多

Allium is a complicated genus that includes approximately 1000 species.Although its morphology is well studied,the taxonomic importance of many morphological traits,including floral traits,are poorly understood.Here,w...Allium is a complicated genus that includes approximately 1000 species.Although its morphology is well studied,the taxonomic importance of many morphological traits,including floral traits,are poorly understood.Here,we examined and measured the floral characteristics of 87 accessions of 74 Allium taxa(belonging to 30 sections and nine subgenera)from Central to Eastern Asian countries.We then examined the taxonomic relationships between select flower characteristics and a phylogenetic tree based on ITS sequences.Our results confirm that floral morphology provides key taxonomic information to assess species delimitation in Allium.We found that perianth color is an important characteristic within the subg.Melanocrommyum,Polyprason,and Reticulatobulbosa.In subg.Allium,Cepa,and Rhizirideum,significant characteristics include ovary shape,perianth shape,and inner tepal apex.For species in subg.Angunium,the key taxonomic character is ovule number(only one ovule in per locule).In the subg.Allium,Cepa,Polyprason,and Reticulatobulbosa,which belong to the third evolutionary line of Allium,hood-like appendages occur in the ovary,although these do not occur in subg.Rhizirideum.Our results also indicated that the flower morphology of several species in some sections are not clearly distinguished,e.g.,sect.Sacculiferum(subg.Cepa)and sect.Tenuissima(subg.Rhizirideum).This study provides detailed photographs and descriptions of floral characteristics and information on general distributions,habitats,and phenology of the studied taxa.展开更多
Advances in technology are enabling gene mutations in papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC)to be analyzed and clinical outcomes,such as recurrence,to be predicted.To date,the most common genetic mutation in PTC is in BRAF ...Advances in technology are enabling gene mutations in papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC)to be analyzed and clinical outcomes,such as recurrence,to be predicted.To date,the most common genetic mutation in PTC is in BRAF kinase(BRAF).However,whether mutations in other genes coincide with those in BRAF remains to be clarified.The aim of this study was to find mutations in other genes that co-exist with mutated BRAF,and to analyze their frequency and clinical relevance in PTC.Clinical and genetic data were collected from 213 PTC patients with a total of 36,572 mutation sites in 735 genes.After matching with genes from PTC entries in a global database(NCBI Gene),69 genes with mutations in coding regions were chosen for further study.Through frequency-based analysis,we identified commonly mutated genes co-existing with mutated BRAF and,using the mutation count correlation matrix(MCCM)method,analyzed their incidence according to age and gender.We designed Chord diagrams to reveal gene relationships concerning age and gender,and found that mutations in ALK,ATM,COL1A1,MSTIR,PRKCA,and WNK1 most commonly coincide with mutated BRAF,followed by APC,AURKA,and AURKB.These findings provide further insight into the genetic profile of PTC.展开更多

文摘To examine the influence of the structural parameters and working parameters of a double-drum regeneration mixing station on its mixing uniformity,the influence of the discrete element method and response surface method on the uniformity of the aggregate mixing when the interaction between two different factors was analyzed.A mathematical model of the influence of various factors and interactions on the coefficient of variation of the aggregates was established.The matching of each parameter was optimized with the goal of minimizing the coefficient of variation.The results show that when the aggregate particle size is different,the significance of each parameter affecting its mixing uniformity is also different.Moreover,increasing the speed and reducing the axial installation angle of the blade can reduce the coefficient of variation of the three aggregates.To obtain a good mixing uniformity,the mixing-arm phase angle when the drum inclination angle is large should be smaller than the phase angle when the drum inclination angle is small,and the mixing of large particles should not be arranged with a large mixing-arm phase angle.With a blade radial installation angle of 38°,a blade axial installation angle of 35°,a drum inclination angle of 6°,a drum rotation speed of 10 r/min,and a mixing-arm phase angle of 32°,the aggregate as a whole can exhibit the best mixing uniformity.
文摘This paper presents the significance analysis of a new type of hybrid composite sandwich wall panel which can be manufactured as modular panelised system. Two different types of natural fibers reinforced plastics (NFRP) laminate were incorporated into the new sandwich panel as an intermediate layer. The significance analysis in this research has been carried out using analysis of variance (ANOVA). As the aim of the analysis is to select the most appropriate natural fiber composites for the intermediate layer, the experiments were arranged as a single factor experiment in which 3 levels of a factor have been examined. The factor refers to the type of intermediate layer used in the sandwich panel. The result of this study shows that the incorporation of intermediate layer has significantly enhanced the load carrying capacity of the sandwich panels.
文摘Background: Studies of gastrointestinal (GIT) cancers have shown that circZFR could be involved in the development and progression of various GIT cancers. However, small sample sizes limit the clinical significance of these studies. Here, a meta-analysis was conducted to ascertain the actual involvement of circZFR in the development and prognosis of GIT cancers. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library were searched up to December 31, 2023. Hazard ratios (HRs) or odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were pooled to evaluate the association between circZFR expression and overall survival (OS). Publication bias was measured using the funnel plot and Egger’s test. Results: 10 studies having 659 participants were enrolled for meta-analysis. High circZFR expression was associated with poor OS (HR = 1.4, 95% CI: 1.20, 1.70). High circZFR expression also predicted larger tumor size (OR = 4.38, 95% CI 2.65, 7.25), advanced clinical stage (OR = 5.33, 95% CI 3.10, 9.16), and tendency for distant metastasis (OR = 2.89, 95% CI: 1.62, 5.11), but was not related to age, gender, and histological grade. Conclusions: In summary, high circZFR expression was associated with poor OS, larger tumor size, advanced stage cancer and tendency for distant metastasis. These findings suggested that circZFR could be a prognostic marker for GIT cancers.

文摘The evolution process and petroleum significance of two groups of fault structures,the NW-SE trending and near EW trending ones in the Cenozoic of Dongping-Niuzhong area of the Altyn slope,Qaidam Basin,were investigated using high precision 3-D seismic data.The NW-SE faults were generated in Oligocene,causing the formation of a series of folds related to transpression faults in the Niuzhong and Dongping area.After the Miocene,with the continuous extension of the Altyn Tagh strike-slip fault zone,the EW trending faults began to develop massively in Altyn slope.The activity of near EW trending faults and large-scale uplift of the bedrock in the northern Niuzhong area shared most of the compression torsion in Niuzhong and Dongping area,consequently,the activity of NW-SE trending faults weakened significantly after the Miocene.Then good hydrocarbon source rocks developed in the inherited Jurassic sags.The faults were effective pathways for oil and gas migration in Dongping and Niuzhong areas,and the oil and gas charging time matched well with the formation period of the NW-SE trending faults and their related structures,making the fault-related anticlines favorable targets for oil and gas accumulation.The Niuzhong area has been less affected by the Cenozoic movement after the Miocene,and thus has better conditions for gas reservoir preservation.

文摘During an excavation survey to the Daijiayuan vestige of the Western Zhou Dynasty-Late Spring and Autumn Period at Huoshan in Western Anhui,a ground crack related to tectonic movement and filled with silty fine sand was found. This phenomenon was initially confirmed to be due to seismic liquefaction. Many microscopic seismic relics,such as load structure,flow structure,cutoff plane and flotation of organic matter were found in the directional microscopic analysis of deformation. These discoveries and cognitions prove that there were two earthquake events taking place in the Western Zhou Dynasty-Late Spring and Autumn Period in this area. Above-mentioned works enrich and develop the research methods to identify prehistoric earthquake event in eastern China area to a certain extent.

文摘Background: Significant portal hypertension(SPH) is a relative contraindication for patients with resectable hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). However, increasing evidence indicates that liver resection is feasible for HCC patients with SPH. Methods: HCC patients with cirrhosis who underwent laparoscopic liver resection(LLR) in two centers from January 2013 to April 2018 were included. Surgical and survival outcomes were analyzed to explore potential prognostic factors. Propensity score matching(PSM) analysis was performed to minimize bias. Results: A total of 165 patients were divided into two groups based on the presence(SPH, n = 76) or absence(non-SPH, n = 89) of SPH. Patients in the SPH group had longer operative time, more blood loss, and more advanced TNM stage than patients in the non-SPH group( P < 0.05). However, there were no significant differences in the postoperative 90-day mortality rate( n = 0), overall postoperative complications(47.4% vs. 41.6%, P = 0.455), Clavien-Dindo classification( P = 0.347), conversion to open surgery(9.2% vs. 6.7%, P = 0.557), or length of hospitalization(16 vs. 15 days, P = 0.203) between the SPH and non-SPH groups before PSM. Similar results were obtained after PSM. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival(OS) and recurrence-free survival rates in the SPH group were not significantly different from those in the non-SPH group both before and after PSM(log-rank P > 0.05). After PSM, alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) ≥ 400 μg/L [hazard ratio(HR) = 4.71, 95% confidence interval(CI): 2.69-8.25], ascites(HR = 2.18, 95% CI: 1.30-3.66), American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA) classification(Ⅲ vs. Ⅱ)(HR = 2.13, 95% CI: 1.11-4.07) and tumor diameter > 5 cm(HR = 3.91, 95% CI: 2.02-7.56) independently predicted worse OS. Conclusions: LLR for patients with HCC complicated with SPH appears feasible at the price of increasing operative time and blood loss. AFP, ascites, ASA classification and tumor diameter may predict the prognosis of HCC complicated with SPH after LLR.

文摘Phytochemical investigation of the branches of Viburnum awabuki K.Koch led to the isolation of thirteen known compounds,including five lignans(1-5),one phytosterol(6),two phenylpropanoids(7-8),one chromone derivative(9),three pentacyclic triterpenoids(10-12),and one glyceride(13).The structures of these compounds were elucidated through extensive spectroscopic analyses and comparison of experimental data with literature data.Additionally,the chemotaxonomic significance of the isolated secondary metabolites was also discussed.

文摘L-moments are defined as linear combinations of probability-weighted moments, They are, virtually unbiased for small samples, and perform well in parameter estimation, choice of the distribution type and regional analysis. The traditional methods of determining the design wave heights for planning marine structures use data only from the site of interest. Regional frequency analysis gives a new approach to estimate quantile by use of the homogeneous neighborhood informatian. A regional frequency analysis based on L-moments with a case study of the California coast is presented. The significant wave height data for the California coast is offered by NDBC. A 6-site region without 46023 is considered to be a homogeneous region, whose optimal regional distribution is Pearson Ⅲ. The test is conducted by a simulation process. The regional quantile is compared with the at-site quantile, and it is shown that efficient neighborhood information can be used via regional frequency analysis to give a reasonable estimation of the site without enough historical data.

文摘Thin-walled aluminum alloy tube numerical control(NC)bending with small bending radius is a complex process with multi-factor coupling effects and multi-die constraints.A significance-based optimization method of the parameters was proposed based on the finite element(FE)simulation,and the significance analysis of the processing parameters on the forming quality in terms of the maximum wall thinning ratio and the maximum cross section distortion degree was implemented using the fractional factorial design.The optimum value of the significant parameter,the clearance between the tube and the wiper die,was obtained,and the values of the other parameters,including the friction coefficients and the clearances between the tube and the dies,the mandrel extension length and the boost velocity were estimated.The results are applied to aluminum alloy tube NC bending d50 mm×1 mm×75 mm and d70 mm×1.5 mm×105 mm(initial tube outside diameter D0×initial tube wall thickness t0×bending radius R),and qualified tubes are produced.

文摘Objective: Identification of colorectal cancer (CRC) metastasis genes is one of the most important issues in CRC research. For the purpose of mining CRC metastasis-associated genes, an integrated analysis of mJcroarray data was presented, by combined with evidence acquired from comparative genornic hybridization (CGH) data. Methods: Gene expression profile data of CRC samples were obtained at Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) website. The 15 important chromosomal aberration sites detected by using CGH technology were used for integrated genomic and transcriptomic analysis. Significant Analysis of Microarray (SAM) was used to detect significantly differentially expressed genes across the whole genome. The overlapping genes were selected in their corresponding chromosomal aberration regions, and analyzed by using the Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery (DAVID). Finally, SVM-T-RFE gene selection algorithm was applied to identify ted genes in CRC. Results: A minimum gene set was obtained with the minimum number [14] of genes, and the highest classification accuracy (100%) in both PRI and META datasets. A fraction of selected genes are associated with CRC or its metastasis. Conclusions- Our results demonstrated that integration analysis is an effective strategy for mining cancer- associated genes.

文摘The 1970 Tonghai earthquake, which occurred on January 5, 1970, in Tonghai County, Yunnan Province, China, triggered a large number of landslides. Since the occurrence of the earthquake, there have been a huge number of research reports on the seismogenic structure and earthquake mechanism, but rare reports on the seismic landslides. As the largest earthquake recorded in the Qujiang fault zone, the study on the coseismic landslides triggered by this earthquake are of great significance to the prevention and mitigation of earthquake-induced landslides in this region. In this study, we established a coseismic landslide inventory for the VⅢ–X seismic intensity areas of the Ms 7.7 Tonghai earthquake, and conducted spatial analysis on the coseismic landslides, mainly having analyzed the effect of the topographic factors, geological factors, and seismic factors on the development of the coseismic landslides. To enhance the understanding of this earthquake, we converted the earthquake epicenter and magnitude with empirical formulas based on the distributions and areas of the coseismic landslides. Comparing with coseismic landslides in other earthquake-hit areas, we found the capability that this earthquake could induce landslides is low. This study provides a useful supplement to the global coseismic landslide inventories and could be the basic data for seismic landslide assessment in this earthquake-prone region.

文摘As a result of rapid urbanization in China, urban sprawl has increased rapidly, and land-use regulation and smart urban growth are equally important. Spatial function regionalization can provide the scientific groundwork for the regulation of land use and protection. This paper probes the system of evaluation indices and applies the methods of spatial analysis and classification clustering to the calculation of the ecologically significant value and economically significant value in each evaluation unit. After use of a classification matrix integrated by the two significant values, city space can be divided into four functional types, namely, feasible development area, moderate development area, moderate conservation area and prohibited exploiting area, and these are the basis for spatial development and control.

文摘Allium is a complicated genus that includes approximately 1000 species.Although its morphology is well studied,the taxonomic importance of many morphological traits,including floral traits,are poorly understood.Here,we examined and measured the floral characteristics of 87 accessions of 74 Allium taxa(belonging to 30 sections and nine subgenera)from Central to Eastern Asian countries.We then examined the taxonomic relationships between select flower characteristics and a phylogenetic tree based on ITS sequences.Our results confirm that floral morphology provides key taxonomic information to assess species delimitation in Allium.We found that perianth color is an important characteristic within the subg.Melanocrommyum,Polyprason,and Reticulatobulbosa.In subg.Allium,Cepa,and Rhizirideum,significant characteristics include ovary shape,perianth shape,and inner tepal apex.For species in subg.Angunium,the key taxonomic character is ovule number(only one ovule in per locule).In the subg.Allium,Cepa,Polyprason,and Reticulatobulbosa,which belong to the third evolutionary line of Allium,hood-like appendages occur in the ovary,although these do not occur in subg.Rhizirideum.Our results also indicated that the flower morphology of several species in some sections are not clearly distinguished,e.g.,sect.Sacculiferum(subg.Cepa)and sect.Tenuissima(subg.Rhizirideum).This study provides detailed photographs and descriptions of floral characteristics and information on general distributions,habitats,and phenology of the studied taxa.

文摘Advances in technology are enabling gene mutations in papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC)to be analyzed and clinical outcomes,such as recurrence,to be predicted.To date,the most common genetic mutation in PTC is in BRAF kinase(BRAF).However,whether mutations in other genes coincide with those in BRAF remains to be clarified.The aim of this study was to find mutations in other genes that co-exist with mutated BRAF,and to analyze their frequency and clinical relevance in PTC.Clinical and genetic data were collected from 213 PTC patients with a total of 36,572 mutation sites in 735 genes.After matching with genes from PTC entries in a global database(NCBI Gene),69 genes with mutations in coding regions were chosen for further study.Through frequency-based analysis,we identified commonly mutated genes co-existing with mutated BRAF and,using the mutation count correlation matrix(MCCM)method,analyzed their incidence according to age and gender.We designed Chord diagrams to reveal gene relationships concerning age and gender,and found that mutations in ALK,ATM,COL1A1,MSTIR,PRKCA,and WNK1 most commonly coincide with mutated BRAF,followed by APC,AURKA,and AURKB.These findings provide further insight into the genetic profile of PTC.
