Dear Editor,Tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)account for up to 50%of tumor mass and serve as key innate immune cells in the tumor microenvironment(Kzhyshkowska et al.,2024).TAMs are primarily M2-like phenotypes that contribute to tumor immunosuppression and promote immune escape by secreting anti-inflammatory fac tors, thereby supporting tumor growth, metastasis, and angiogenesis.TAMs can be reprogrammed into M1-like phenotypes by immunostimulatory signals, promoting pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-αand IL-12 that suppress tumor growth. 展开更多
