First, the traffic wave method is used to analyze the formation and dispersion of the vehicle queue. Cumulative curves for road entrances and exits are established. Based on the cumulative curves, the travel time of the one-lane road under stable flow input is derived. And then, the multi-lane road is decomposed into a series of single-lane links based on its topological characteristics. Hence, the travel time function for the basic road is obtained. The travel time is a function of road length, flow and control parameters. Numerical analyses show that the travel time depends on the supply-demand condition, and it has high sensitivity during peak hours.展开更多

The controller is capable of controlling the po- sition and attitude of both the satellite base and the payload grasped by the manipulator end effectors. The equations of motion in reduced-order form for the constrained system are derived by incorporating the constraint equations in terms of accelerations into Kane's equations of the unconstrained system. Nonlinear dynamic inversion is used to design the baseline attitude controller and derive the desired moment increment. Furthermore, it lost the sustained acceleration cues of high-and mid-frequency in cross-over(tilt-coordination) channel, and the acceleration of cross-over frequency was also limited by angular velocity limiter, so the false cues in flight simulation process were clearly perceived by pilots. The paper studied the characteristics of the classical washout algorithm and flight simulator motion platform, tried to redesign the source of cross-over acceleration channel and translation acceleration channel, and transferred the part of cross-over acceleration that was unsimulated sustained acceleration to translation acceleration channel. Comparisons were mainly made between classical washout algorithm and revised algorithm in a longitudinal/pitch direction. The evaluation was based on the implementation of human vestibular perception system. The results demonstrated that the revised algorithm could significantly reduce the phase lag, and improved the spikes tracking performance. Furthermore, sensory angular velocity and the error of sensory acceleration were strictly controlled within the threshold of human perception system, and the displacement was a little broader than the classical washout algorithm. Therefore, it was proved that the new algorithm could diminish the filters parameters and heighten the self-adaptability for the washout algorithm. In addition, the magnitude of false cues was remarkably reduced during flight simulator, and the workspace utilization of the motion platform was developed by "closed-loop" control system.展开更多

It has been suggested that Notch signaling can regulate Sox9 transcription, although how this occurs at the molecular level in chondrocytes and whether this transcriptional regulation mediates Notch control of chondrocyte hypertrophy and cartilage development is unknown or controversial. Here we have provided conclusive genetic evidence linking RBPjk-dependent Notch signaling to the regulation of Sox9 expression and chondrocyte hypertrophy by examining tissuespecific Rbpjk mutant(Prx1Cre;Rbpjkf/f), Rbpjk mutant/Sox9 haploinsufficient(Prx1Cre;Rbpjkf/f;Sox9f/1),and control embryos for alterations in SOX9 expression and chondrocyte hypertrophy during cartilage development. These studies demonstrate that Notch signaling regulates the onset of chondrocyte maturation in a SOX9-dependent manner, while Notch-mediated regulation of terminal chondrocyte maturation likely functions independently of SOX9. Furthermore, our in vitro molecular analyses of the Sox9 promoter and Notch-mediated regulation of Sox9 gene expression in chondrogenic cells identified the ability of Notch to induce Sox9 expression directly in the acute setting, but suppresses Sox9 transcription with prolonged Notch signaling that requires protein synthesis of secondary effectors.展开更多

To cope with the requirements for high response and precision, advanced feedforward controllers such as gravity compensator, Coriolis/centrifugal force compensator and friction compensators have been built in the controller. Generally, it causes heavy computational load when calculating the compensating value within a short sampling period. In this paper, integrated recurrent neural networks are applied as a feedforward controller for PUMA560 manipulator. The feedforward controller works instead of gravity and Coriolis/centrifugal force compensators. In the learning process of the neural network by using back propagation algorithm, the learning coefficient and gain of sigmoid function are tuned intuitively and empirically according to teaching signals. The tuning is complicated because it is being conducted by trial and error. Especially, when the scale of teaching signal is large, the problem becomes crucial. To cope with the problem which concerns the learning performance, a simple and adaptive learning technique for large scale teaching signals is proposed. The learning techniques and control effectiveness are evaluated through simulations using the dynamic model of PUMA560 manipulator.展开更多

A closed-loop particle swarm optimization (CLPSO) algorithm is proposed by mapping PSO elements into the closed-loop system based on control theories. At each time step, a proportional integral (PI) controller is used to calculate an updated inertia weight for each particle in swarms from its last fitness. With this modification, limitations caused by a uniform inertia weight for the whole population are avoided, and the particles have enough diversity. After the effectiveness, efficiency and robustness are tested by benchmark functions, CLPSO is applied to design a multivariable proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller for a solvent dehydration tower in a chemical plant and has improved its performances.展开更多

Abnormal osteoblast differentiation leads to a broad range of devastating craniofacial diseases. Here we have investigated intramembranous ossification during cranial bone development in mouse models of skeletal genetic diseases that exhibit craniofacial bone defects. The GNAS gene encodes Gαs that transduces GPCR signaling. GNAS activation or loss-of-function mutations in humans cause fibrous dysplasia(FD) or progressive osseous heteroplasia(POH) that shows craniofacial hyperostosis or craniosynostosis, respectively. We find here that, while Hh ligand-dependent Hh signaling is essential for endochondral ossification, it is dispensable for intramembranous ossification, where Gαsregulates Hh signaling in a ligand-independent manner. We further show that Gαscontrols intramembranous ossification by regulating both Hh and Wnt/β-catenin signaling. In addition, Gαsactivation in the developing cranial bone leads to reduced ossification but increased cartilage presence due to reduced cartilage dissolution, not cell fate switch. Small molecule inhibitors of Hh and Wnt signaling can effectively ameliorate cranial bone phenotypes in mice caused by loss or gain of Gnas function mutations, respectively. Our work shows that studies of genetic diseases provide invaluable insights in both pathological bone defects and normal bone development, understanding both leads to better diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of bone diseases.展开更多

文摘The classical washout algorithm had fixed gains and manually constructed filters, so that it led to poor adaptability. In addition, the magnitude of false cues was remarkably reduced during flight simulator, and the workspace utilization of the motion platform was developed by "closed-loop" control system.

文摘This paper presents a study on bioinspired closed-loop Central Pattern Generator(CPG)based control of a robot fish for obstacle avoidance and direction tracking. The biomimetic robot fish is made of a rigid head with a pair of pectoral fins,a wire-driven active body covered with soft skin, and a compliant tail. The CPG model consists of four input parameters:the flapping amplitude, the flapping angular velocity, the flapping offset, and the time ratio between the beat phase and the restore phase in flapping. The robot fish is equipped with three infrared sensors mounted on the left, front and right of the robot fish,as well as an inertial measurement unit, from which the surrounding obstacles and moving direction can be sensed.Based on these sensor signals, the closed-loop CPG-based control can drive the robot fish to avoid obstacles and to track designated directions.Four sets of experiments are presented, including avoiding a static obstacle, avoiding a moving obstacle, tracking a designated direction and tracking a designated direction with an obstacle in the path. The experiment results indicated that the presented control strategy worked well and the robot fish can accomplish the obstacle avoidance and direction tracking effectively.

文摘RBPjk-dependent Notch signaling regulates both the onset of chondrocyte hypertrophy and the progression to terminal chondrocyte maturation during endochondral ossification. Furthermore, our in vitro molecular analyses of the Sox9 promoter and Notch-mediated regulation of Sox9 gene expression in chondrogenic cells identified the ability of Notch to induce Sox9 expression directly in the acute setting, but suppresses Sox9 transcription with prolonged Notch signaling that requires protein synthesis of secondary effectors.

文摘Recently, various control methods represented by proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control are used for robotic control. The learning techniques and control effectiveness are evaluated through simulations using the dynamic model of PUMA560 manipulator.
文摘Design of general multivariable process controllers is an attractive and practical alternative to optimizing design by evolutionary algorithms (EAs) since it can be formulated as an optimization problem. After the effectiveness, efficiency and robustness are tested by benchmark functions, CLPSO is applied to design a multivariable proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller for a solvent dehydration tower in a chemical plant and has improved its performances.
文摘Autonomous vehicle technology will transform fundamentally urban traffic systems. To better enhance the coming era of connected and autonomous vehicles, effective control strategies that interact wisely with these intelligent vehicles for signalized at-grade intersections are indispensable.Vehicle-to-infrastructure communication technology offers unprecedented clues to reduce the delay at signalized intersections by innovative information-based control strategies. This paper proposes a new dynamic control strategy for signalized intersections with vehicle-to-signal information. The proposed strategy is called periodic vehicle holding(PVH)strategy while the traffic signal can provide information for the vehicles that are approaching an intersection.Under preliminary autonomous vehicle(PAV)environment,left-turning and through-moving vehicles will be sorted based on different information they receive. The paper shows how PVH reorganizes traffic to increase the capacity of an intersection without causing severe spillback to the upstream intersection. Results show that PVH can reduce the delay by approximately 15%at a signalized intersection under relatively high traffic demand.

文摘How osteoblast cells are induced is a central question for understanding skeletal formation. Our work shows that studies of genetic diseases provide invaluable insights in both pathological bone defects and normal bone development, understanding both leads to better diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of bone diseases.
