Ice loads on a ship hull affect the safety of the hull structure and the ship maneuvering performance in ice-covered regions. Ice loads on a ship hull affect the safety of the hull structure and the ship maneuvering performance in ice-covered regions. A discrete element method (DEM) is used to simulate the interaction between drifting ice floes and a moving ship. The pancake ice floes are modelled with three-dimensional (3-D) dilated disk elements considering the buoyancy, drag force and additional mass induced by the current. The ship hull is modelled with 3D disks with overlaps. Ice loads on the ship hull are determined through the contact detection between ice floe element and ship hull element and the contact force calculation. The influences of different ice conditions (current velocities and directions, ice thicknesses, concentrations and ice floe sizes) and ship speeds are also examined on the dynamic ice force. The simulated results are compared qualitatively well with the existing field data and other numerical results. This work can be helpful in the shil3 structure design and the navigation securitv in ice-covered fields. 展开更多

By applying an actual ship parameter and its accurate propeller J' -KT' and J' - Kp' curve data, functional experiments based on the simulation system were carried out. The experiment results showed that the system can correctly emulate the propeller characteristics, produce the dynamic and steady performances of the propeller under different navigation modes, and present actual load torque for electric propulsion motor. 展开更多

A frequency domain analysis method based on the three-dimensional translating-pulsating (3DTP) source Green function is developed to investigate wave loads and free motions of two ships advancing on parallel course in waves. Two experiments are carried out respectively to mea- sure the wave loads and the free motions for a pair of side-by- side arranged ship models advancing with an identical speed in head regular waves. For comparison, each model is also tested alone. Predictions obtained by the present solution are found in favorable agreement with the model tests and are more accurate than the traditional method based on the three dimensional pulsating (3DP) source Green function. Numer- ical resonances and peak shift can be found in the 3DP pre- dictions, which result from the wave energy trapped in the gap between two ships and the extremely inhomogeneous wave load distribution on each hull. However, they can be eliminated by 3DTP, in which the speed affects the free sur- face and most of the wave energy can be escaped from the gap. Both the experiment and the present prediction show that hydrodynamic interaction effects on wave loads and free motions are significant. The present solver may serve as a validated tool to predict wave loads and motions of two ves- sels under replenishment at sea, and may help to evaluate the hydrodynamic interaction effects on the ships safety in replenishment operation. 展开更多

The added mass matrix is calculated with finite element method (FEM) by 8-node acoustic fluid elements. The vibration characteristics of the structure in the finite fluid domain are calculated combining structure FEM mass matrix. By writing relevant programs, the numerical analysis on vibration characteristics of a submerged cantilever rectangular plate in finite fluid domain and loaded ship model is performed. A modal identification experiment for the loaded ship model in air and in water is conducted and the experiment results verify the reliability of the numerical analysis. The numerical method can be used for further research on vibration characteristics and acoustic radiation problems of the structure in the finite fluid domain. 展开更多

This procedure claculates the stress at the sliding surface by the finite element method (FEM) and takes the dynamic properties of clay into account. With this procedure, the stability of a Bohai oil-drilling ship is analyzed. The calculated safety factor is much smaller than 1, indicating that this oil-drilling ship would fail just as what had happened to it. 展开更多

This is one of the important reasons for overturn of ro-ro ships. The multibody system with a floating base is composed of ro-ro ship and slipping vehicles. Takes the rolling angle of the ship and the transverse displacements of the slipping vehicles on desk as freedoms. Making use of the analysis of apparent gravitation and apparent buoyancy, the wave rolling moment is derived. By means of dynamic method of multibody system, dynamic equations of the system are established. Taking a certain channel ferry as an example, a set of numerical calculation have been carried out for rolling response of the multibody system with a floating base of a ro-ro ship and displacements response of the slipping vehicles under common effect of free slipping vehicles and wave, and a conclusion has been drawn that the motion of the numerous free slipping heavy loads will trend to be synchronous under restraining of the side-wall bulkhead with time because of repeated collision. 展开更多

Based on the data of pitting corrosion recorded,the concept of pitting corrosion characteristic element matrix was proposed to describe the distribution and the forms of pitting. Moreover,the model of sensitivity calculation was established to analyse the sensitivity of pitting corrosion characteristic elements for the ultimate bearing capacity of ship structural plate. A new approach was proposed to calculate the ultimate strength of pitting damaged ship structural plate under combined loads based on the factor of rigidity reduction. Simultaneously this new approach was proven to be validated by finite element simulation. Finally,formula of ultimate strength of pitting damaged ship hull plate was established by series of numerical calculations based on the approach,and the reliability of the formula was validated as well. 展开更多

This paper reviews the extensive work done on ice loads on ships, including: (a) Ice pressure and local load determination based on field and model tests; (b) Global ice loads on ships from full-scale field observations, model tests and numerical models under different ice conditions (level ice and pack ice) and ship operations (maneuvering and mooring). Spe- cial attention is paid to the discrete element simulation of global ice loads on ships; and (c) Analytical solutions and numerical models of impact loads of icebergs on ships for polar navigation. Conducting model experiments is an effective and reliable way in the investigation of ship hydrodynamic and hydroelastic behaviors. A survey of model testing techniques for ship hydroelasticity and its prospect are presented in this paper. The research highlights with respect to ship hydroelasticity and key points in model testing are summarized at first. Then testing techniques including laboratory tank test and full-scale sea trial are reviewed, and both their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed comprehensively. Based on the conventional testing approaches, a state-of-the-art testing approach which includes performing tests using large-scale model at sea is proposed. Furthermore, recommendations towards the further development of ship hydroelasticity tests are forecasted and discussed. 展开更多

Re-floating the ship need full understanding of the impact of ground reaction (R) on the ship buoyancy and stability. Re-floating the ship has different phases and there are several immediate actions that should be taken by ship's crew; one of these phases is re-calculation of ship stability conditions. In this paper, a guide to understanding the effect of the ground reaction (R), determines the amount of ground pressure and its location. With consideration of the seabed form whether symmetric of asymmetric. 受海洋经济繁荣、船舶大型化趋势等因素影响,泊位能力提升成为诸多码头的选择.为有效了解码头潜力,针对当前保有量较大的高桩码头,综合考虑船舶-结构-土体的相互作用,采用ANSYS/LS-DYNA大型有限元软件建立仿真数值模型.引入JHC模型和线... 受海洋经济繁荣、船舶大型化趋势等因素影响,泊位能力提升成为诸多码头的选择.为有效了解码头潜力,针对当前保有量较大的高桩码头,综合考虑船舶-结构-土体的相互作用,采用ANSYS/LS-DYNA大型有限元软件建立仿真数值模型.引入JHC模型和线性强化模型来描述码头与船体在不同船舶荷载作用下的非线性变形及破坏情况,设计15种不同船舶质量和撞击速度的组合工况,展开超限撞击下撞击力、码头结构应力和码头损伤评价等方面的研究.研究表明,撞击力峰值与船舶质量和撞击速度密切相关,其中撞击速度的影响更显著;倾向码头方向的斜桩是水平荷载的主要受力构件,提升码头结构强度应重点考虑此类构件的加固设计;桩基设计应考虑间距布设,以减少群桩效应引起的承载力问题;提出结构损伤比,结合15种组合工况获得结构损伤评价的拟合公式. 展开更多

极区船舶与海冰发生挤压碰撞时常伴随着极地低温,考虑极地低温与冰载荷联合作用时对船舶舷侧极限承载能力的影响。首先,采用VOF(Volume of Fluid)模型研究在仅受环境温度影响下船舶舷侧垂向温度分布,水线至二甲板处受环境温度与海水温... 极区船舶与海冰发生挤压碰撞时常伴随着极地低温,考虑极地低温与冰载荷联合作用时对船舶舷侧极限承载能力的影响。首先,采用VOF(Volume of Fluid)模型研究在仅受环境温度影响下船舶舷侧垂向温度分布,水线至二甲板处受环境温度与海水温度的影响产生明显的温度梯度,以此时的温度应力为基础,在船舶舷侧上施加冰载荷,细化冰载荷加载区域网格,通过两倍斜率法确定舷侧的极限承载能力,环境温度越低,其极限承载能力越小。改变冰载荷施加位置,对比有无强构件支撑时其极限承载能力的大小,结果表明强构件支撑能有效提高船体的极限承载能力。研究成果可为极区船舶结构强度校核提供参考。 展开更多

研究目的:随着我国新型城镇化战略的深入实施,中心城区人口不断聚集,既有地下空间的改造、拓建,是实现地下空间资源充分利用的重要手段,城市轨道交通地下空间的网络化拓建正是典型代表。基于目前地下空间改扩建类型及存在问题的调研,对... 研究目的:随着我国新型城镇化战略的深入实施,中心城区人口不断聚集,既有地下空间的改造、拓建,是实现地下空间资源充分利用的重要手段,城市轨道交通地下空间的网络化拓建正是典型代表。基于目前地下空间改扩建类型及存在问题的调研,对新建与改拓建地下工程的差异进行系统分析,提出既有城轨交通地下空间横向与竖向拓建关键技术。研究结论:(1)从三个维度对城市轨道交通地下结构的改拓建工程进行了分类,从横向连通接驳、竖向增层与交叉穿越两个方面对各类城轨交通地下工程的拓建技术进行了分析;(2)研究提出的大刚度C型咬合梁在接驳连通方面可实现新旧结构接缝部位的零渗漏目标,明确了竖向支撑是实现既有隧道扩挖期间拱顶应力释放、沉降变形控制的关键;(3)提出了基于中洞法的竖向荷载主动托换体系可实现运营车站下方零距离增层拓建,进一步针对运营隧道上方的跨越拓建,提出了基坑或竖井跳挖技术,可有效应对隧道上方地层卸载引起的回弹隆起变形;(4)本研究结论可为地下空间改扩建工程提供借鉴。 展开更多

航运枢纽闸门运输稳定性仿真分析

航运枢纽建设可能面临进场道路多弯道、多坡道等复杂路况,为探讨该复杂路况下的闸门大件设备运输稳定性问题,以国内某大型航运枢纽为例,建立了闸门运输动态仿真模型,利用该模型分析了多种进场路况下航运枢纽闸门的运输稳定性。结果表明... 航运枢纽建设可能面临进场道路多弯道、多坡道等复杂路况,为探讨该复杂路况下的闸门大件设备运输稳定性问题,以国内某大型航运枢纽为例,建立了闸门运输动态仿真模型,利用该模型分析了多种进场路况下航运枢纽闸门的运输稳定性。结果表明:闸门运输稳定性随车速的增大而降低,进场道路的弯道半径及坡度对运输稳定性有明显影响;对于弯道路段,闸门大件运输车辆低速(v≤20 km/h)行驶时应将横向荷载转移率|LTR|值控制在0.43以内,高速(20km/h<v≤30 km/h)行驶时应将|LTR|值控制在0.53以内;对于坡道路段,为防止车辆制动失效发生滚翻事故,需合理匹配运输速度与坡度,当运输车辆速度为20、30 km/h时,坡道坡度应分别控制在7.2%和6.3%以内。研究成果可为航运枢纽闸门运输方案的科学制定提供参考。 展开更多

本文基于门控神经网络(GRU)建立船舶运动与载荷快速预报模型,GRU神经网络是一种简洁高效的循环神经网络,通过捕捉训练样本的时序信息建立模型来预报未知样本。预报模型由两个独立的GRU神经网络组成,分别实现船舶运动与载荷的预报,将船... 本文基于门控神经网络(GRU)建立船舶运动与载荷快速预报模型,GRU神经网络是一种简洁高效的循环神经网络,通过捕捉训练样本的时序信息建立模型来预报未知样本。预报模型由两个独立的GRU神经网络组成,分别实现船舶运动与载荷的预报,将船舶纵摇和垂荡历史数据共同作为运动预报模型输入,预报得到未来数秒后的船舶纵摇和垂荡,并将运动预报结果作为载荷预报模型的输入,实现对船舯垂向弯矩的预报。通过模型试验数据对该方法进行验证,结果表明不同超前预报时间的预报结果与试验结果幅值和相位吻合较好,验证了所建立的船舶运动与载荷预报模型的可行性。 展开更多
