This study examines the influencing factors of rural tourism in promoting shared prosperity among households,using the case study of Yinan County in Shandong province,China.The research aims to provide insights into t...This study examines the influencing factors of rural tourism in promoting shared prosperity among households,using the case study of Yinan County in Shandong province,China.The research aims to provide insights into the economic benefits experienced by low-income households in the context of rural tourism development.Based on field research conducted from April 8,2023,to May 17,2023,including interviews and site visits,the study constructs an evaluation index system to assess the influencing factors.Through expert scoring and the application of a weighted set-valued mathematical statistical model,the importance and quantification of each factor are determined.The results indicate that the current stage of promoting shared prosperity through rural tourism in Yinan County is primarily influenced by the scale of tourist consumption of external visitors.This factor outweighs others such as the participation capacity and willingness of low-income households,the capacity of investment enterprises,and the policies and financial allocation of the local government.The findings emphasize the significance of external visitor spending and highlight the need to address the obstacles faced by low-income households in accessing economic benefits.The evaluation index system and measurement model presented in this study offer a scientific basis for assessing and improving the income situation of low-income households in rural tourism development initiatives.However,it is crucial to note that the importance of these influencing factors may evolve with the lifecycle of the tourism destination.Future research should include long-term tracking and consider a broader range of indicators to deepen our understanding of their mechanisms and significance.Furthermore,alternative approaches and theories may provide valuable perspectives for further exploration in this field.展开更多

Based on Marxist theory of social reproduction and the dual dimensions of“wealth”and“common prosperity,”this study examines the impact of the digital economy in promoting common prosperity across the four key stag...Based on Marxist theory of social reproduction and the dual dimensions of“wealth”and“common prosperity,”this study examines the impact of the digital economy in promoting common prosperity across the four key stages:production,distribution,exchange,and consumption.The findings indicate that the digital economy fosters productivity growth and plays significant regulatory roles in primary distribution,redistribution,and third distribution.Moreover,the digital economy overcomes the spatiotemporal constraints of exchange and enhances consumption equality,thereby generating both“wealth”and“common prosperity”effects.However,there are still persistent challenges,including the displacement of traditional outputs,monopolization by digital platforms,the impact on employment,and income disparities arising from the digital divide.To address these challenges,we recommend optimizing the development policies of the digital economy,accelerating the growth of digital productivity,strengthening regulation of the digital platforms,building new talent supply systems,actively addressing the digital divide,and advancing market-oriented reform of data elements to better promote common prosperity.展开更多

For a long time, the economic integration process of the East Asia has been rather lagged behind that ofAmerica and Europe. The breakout of the Asian financial crisis in l997 and the serious contagion effects havetaugh the countries in the region the importance of regional economic cooperation in an increasingly integratedworld. Many proposals and plans have been put forward concerning possible approaches of regional economicintegration. Since l999, China’s attitude toward regional economic integration has changed which was mani-fested by its involvement in the regional monetary arrangement. We examine the impact of Confucian philosophy on external pay gaps,and find that a Confucianist atmosphere is negatively associated with firms’external pay gaps for both executives and employees.Mechanistically,the C...We examine the impact of Confucian philosophy on external pay gaps,and find that a Confucianist atmosphere is negatively associated with firms’external pay gaps for both executives and employees.Mechanistically,the Confucian concept of“righteousness”reduces the self-interested motivation of management,in turn reducing executives’external pay gap;“humaneness”causes management to focus on protecting employees’rights and interests,benefiting employees’compensation;and“honesty”improves information disclosure,reducing the external compensation gap for both executives and general employees.The inhibitory effect of Confucian culture on the external pay gap is greater in regions with weak formal institutions and non-state-owned firms,while foreign cultural shocks attenuate the Confucian influence.Finally,the Confucian culture-driven reduction of the external pay gap improves enterprises’economic efficiency.展开更多
