Device-to-Device(D2D) communication has been proposed as a promising implementation of green communication to benefit the existed cellular network.In order to limit cross-tier interference while explore the gain of short-range communication,we devise a series of distributed power control(DPC) schemes for energy conservation(EC)and enhancement of radio resource utilization in the hybrid system.Firstly,a constrained opportunistic power control model is built up to take advantage of the interference avoidance methodology in the presence of service requirement and power constraint.Then,biasing scheme and admission control are added to evade ineffective power consumption and maintain the feasibility of the system.Upon feasibility,a non-cooperative game is further formulated to exploit the profit in EC with minor influence on spectral efficiency(SE).The convergence of the DPC schemes is validated and their performance is confirmed via simulation results. 展开更多

This paper addresses the problem of distributed secondary control for islanded AC microgrids with external disturbances.By using a full-order sliding-mode(FOSM)approach,voltage regulation and frequency restoration are achieved in finite time.For voltage regulation,a distributed observer is proposed for each distributed generator(DG)to estimate a reference voltage level.Different from some conventional observers,the reference voltage level in this paper is accurately estimated under directed communication topologies.Based on the observer,a new nonlinear controller is designed in a backstepping manner such that an FOSM surface is reached in finite time.On the surface,the voltages of DGs are regulated to the reference level in finite time.For frequency restoration,a distributed controller is further proposed such that a constructed FOSM surface is reached in finite time,on which the frequencies of DGs are restored to a reference level in finite time under directed communication topologies.Finally,case studies on a modified IEEE 37-bus test system are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness,the robustness against load changes,and the plug-and-play capability of the proposed controllers. 展开更多

There are many interesting flocking phenomena in nature,such as joint predation and group migration,and the intrinsic communication patterns of flocking are essential for studying group behavior.Traditional models of communication such as the pigeon flock model and the wolf pack model define all agents within a perceptual distance as the neighborhoods,and some models have fixed communicating numbers.There is a significant impact on the quality of the flocking formation when encountering poor initial state of the flocking,multiple obstacles,or loss of certain agents.To solve this problem,this paper proposes a local communication model with nearest agents in four directions.Based on this model and behavioral method,two distributed flocking formation algorithms are designed in this paper for different scenarios,namely the flocking algorithm and the circular formation algorithm.Numerical simulation results show that the flocking can pass through the obstacle area and re-formation smoothly,and also the formation quality of the flocking is better compared with the traditional communication model. 展开更多

A novel distributed numerical control (DNC) integrated system based on plug-in software technology is proposed. It connects new or old numerical control (NC) machine tools which have inhomogeneous numerical control systems with CAD/CAM system by CANbus network. A DNC computer is able to control 15 sets of NC machine tools reliably at the same time. The novel DNC system increases the efficiency of machine tools and improve the production management level by realizing non-paper production, agile manufacturing, networked manufacturing and so on in the near future. Key technologies to construct the novel DNC integrated system include the integration of inhomogeneous numerical control systems, NC program restart, and algorithm for communication competition. Such system has demonstrated successful applications in some corporations that have acquired good economic benefits and social effects. 展开更多

Individuals exchange information,experience and strategy based on communication.Communication is the basis for individuals to form swarms and the bridge of swarms to realize cooperative control.In this paper,the multirobot swarm and its cooperative control and communication methods are reviewed,and we summarize these methods from the task,control,and perception levels.Based on the research,the cooperative control and communication methods of intelligent swarms are divided into the following four categories:task assignment based methods(divided into market-based methods and alliance based methods),bio-inspired methods(divided into biochemical information inspired methods,vision based methods and self-organization based methods),distributed sensor fusion and reinforcement learning based methods,and we briefly define each method and introduce its basic ideas.Based on WOS database,we divide the development of each method into several stages according to the time distribution of the literature,and outline the main research content of each stage.Finally,we discuss the communication problems of intelligent swarms and the key issues,challenges and future work of each method. 展开更多

Well distributed cumulative probability of signal to interference plus noise power ratio appears to be vital for cellular mobile multimedia communications. A scenario of dual links dynamic power control combined to a solution of smart antenna is proposed to adjust the instant transmission power in terms of the disparity from the favorite range. Simulation results show that this method is quite effective to improve the cumulative distribution probability performance. Meanwhile, accompanying low power consumption is also obtained at both base stations and mobile stations. 展开更多

A design approach of manufacturing communication is presented for flexible manufacturing system in this paper. The primary objective aims at making the flexible manufacturing control system provided with interoperability and reconfigurability. Based on describing manufacturing message specification (MMS) and distributed component object model (DCOM), a client/server manufacturing communication model is built with MMS standard and DCOM middleware, and the communication interfaces between MMS client and MMS server are designed with Microsoft interface definition language (MIDL) and abstract syntax notation one (ASN.1) of MMS services. As a result, DCOM and MMS integration leads to such client/ server communication capabilities independent of different operating systems and manufacturing devices in flexible manufacturing automation environment. Finally, to verify the new design approach, a prototype system of robot control system has been implemented in MS 2000 Server/Professional Operating System and VC++ 6.0 Developer Environments. 展开更多

In this paper, firstly, distributed-NC functions in the FMS environment are described. Then, we present a design and development method of the real time distributed-NC that is on the basis of the re-coufigurable software and hardware platform and with an object-oriented model concept. Finally, to verify the proposed method, the distributed-NC software has been implemented in VC++ 6.0 and has been tested in connection with the different physical flexible manufacturing shops. 展开更多

This paper addresses the problem of coordinating multiple mobile robots in searching for and capturing a mobile target,with the aim of reducing the capture time.Compared with the previous algorithms,we assume that the target can be detected by any robot and captured successfully by two or more robots.In this paper,we assume that each robot has a limited communication range.We maintain the robots within a mobile network to guarantee the successful capture.In addition,the motion of the target is modeled and incorporated into directing the motion of the robots to reduce the capture time.A coordination algorithm considering both aspects is proposed.This algorithm can greatly reduce the expected time of capturing the mobile target.Finally,we validate the algorithm by the simulations and experiments. 展开更多

Both the traverse subsystem and the elevation subsystem of the all-electrical tank gun control system are composed of electrical drive control system respectively. The parameters of PI regulator in these electrical drive control systems affect the performance of the control system seriously. Up to now, there is not a simple and practical method for choosing regulator parameters, which are usually determined by repeated and continual readjustment. This method is low efficient, and the parameters got are not always optimal. A method for on-line adjusting the parameters of PI regulator in the electrical drive control system by computer program is introduced in this paper. The function of adjusting PI parameters of the electrical drive control system is realized by PC program written by VC++ and controlling program written by assemble language and by the communication between PC and DSP completed by the control MSCOMM in VC++6.0. The method as mentioned above which is applied for an all-electrical tank gun control system under development is proved very available, a better performance might be obtained for the all-electrical tank gun control system easily. 展开更多

Containment-Based Multiple PCC Voltage Regulation Strategy for Communication Link and Sensor Faults

The distributed AC microgrid(MG) voltage restoration problem has been extensively studied. Still, many existing secondary voltage control strategies neglect the co-regulation of the voltage at the point of common coupling(PCC) in the AC multi-MG system(MMS). When an MMS consists of sub-MGs connected in series, power flow between the sub-MGs is not possible if the PCC voltage regulation relies on traditional consensus control objectives. In addition, communication faults and sensor faults are inevitable in the MMS. Therefore, a resilient voltage regulation strategy based on containment control is proposed.First, the feedback linearization technique allows us to deal with the nonlinear distributed generation(DG) dynamics, where the PCC regulation problem of an AC MG is transformed into an output feedback tracking problem for a linear multi-agent system(MAS) containing nonlinear dynamics. This process is an indispensable pre-processing in control algorithm design. Moreover, considering the unavailability of full-state measurements and the potential faults present in the sensors, a novel follower observer is designed to handle communication faults. Based on this, a controller based on containment control is designed to achieve voltage regulation. In regulating multiple PCC voltages to a reasonable upper and lower limit, a voltage difference exists between sub-MGs to achieve power flow. In addition, the secondary control algorithm avoids using global information of directed communication network and fault boundaries for communication link and sensor faults. Finally, the simulation results verify the performance of the proposed strategy. 展开更多

This paper investigates the problem of distributed cooperative guidance law design for multiple anti-ship missiles in the three-dimensional(3-D)space hitting simultaneously the same target with considering the desired terminal impact angle constraint.To address this issue,the problem formulation including 3-D nonlinear mathematical model description,and communication topology are built firstly.Then the consensus variable is constructed using the available information and can reach consensus under the proposed acceleration command along the line-of-sight(LOS)which satisfies the impact time constraint.However,the normal accelerations are designed to guarantee the convergence of the LOS angular rate.Furthermore,consider the terminal impact angle constraints,a nonsingular terminal sliding mode(NTSM)control is introduced,and a finite time convergent control law of normal acceleration is proposed.The convergence of the proposed guidance law is proved by using the second Lyapunov stability method,and numerical simulations are also conducted to verify its effectiveness.The results indicate that the proposed cooperative guidance law can regulate the impact time error and impact angle error in finite time if the connecting time of the communication topology is longer than the required convergent time. 展开更多

In this paper a real-time testbed using hardware-in-the-loop for the analysis of the effects of DGs (distributed generators) on microgrids is presented. The distribution network is implemented in SIMULINK using the IEEE 15-node distribution feeder connected to two DGs feeding the grid using two smart inverters. The inverters' active and reactive power control is performed by TI C2000-based controllers and the hardware connections to the system are done through dSPACE interface module. The system is designed such that it can easily be modified to change the location of the DGs and/or to change the number of DGs connected to the grid. Several case study results are presented and compared against simulations to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the system, model, and the employed power control schemes. 展开更多

Thermostatically controlled loads(TCLs)on the demand side have been a vital energy resource in smart grids.To efficiently utilize the large-scale TCLs and enhance the flexibility of micro-community systems,this paper proposes a distributed coordinated control strategy based on the distributed model predictive control(MPC).To achieve the adaptive coordinated control among TCLs and consider user comfort constraints,a distributed dual-layer internal control strategy based on MPC is established on a scalable communication network.This strategy achieves the efficient utilization of TCLs in a distributed manner and notably improves the convergence speed through sparse network communication between neighbors.For external resource utilization of TCLs,a multi-timescale scheduling framework is proposed to realize the pre-allocation of electricity.Furthermore,the feasibility of the proposed distributed coordinated control strategy is confirmed through comparative case analysis. 展开更多
