Restoring neurological dysfunctions is challenging in patients with the sequels of vertebral and spinal cord lesions.Current guidelines focus on treating the early stage of vertebral and spinal cord lesions,such as te...Restoring neurological dysfunctions is challenging in patients with the sequels of vertebral and spinal cord lesions.Current guidelines focus on treating the early stage of vertebral and spinal cord lesions,such as tethered cord syndrome,syringomyelia,spinal degenerative diseases,spinal infection,ankylosing spondylitis,myelitis,vertebral and spinal cord vascular malformations,and others,whereas the treatments of the sequels of those lesions have received limited attention.Restoring neurological dysfunctions and damaged structures caused by these lesions could improve patient quality of life.The Chinese Association of Neurorestoratology(Preparatory)and the China Committee of International Association of Neurorestoratology therefore proposed and approved this guideline providing the restorative therapeutic rules and references for physicians to treat patients with neurological dysfunction of sequels from vertebral and spinal cord lesions.展开更多
This paper is a summary of clinical studies on auricular acupoint penetration needling along the skin for treatment of pain and dysfunction in recent 10 years.Auricular acupoint penetration needling along the skin was...This paper is a summary of clinical studies on auricular acupoint penetration needling along the skin for treatment of pain and dysfunction in recent 10 years.Auricular acupoint penetration needling along the skin was used to observe rapid analgesic effects and clinical efficacy on cervical spondylopathy,periarthritis of shoulder,pain in waist and lower extremities,migraine,and other peripheral neuropathic pain,and stroke sequels,soft tissue injury,and so on.Self-control method was used in the studies at the first stage,and clinically randomized control trial methodwas used for systematic comparison with other therapies at the second stage.Results indicated that the auricular acupoint penetration needling along the skin had obviously clinical effects on cervical spondylopathy,periarthritis of shoulder,pain in waist and lower extremities,migraine,soft tissue injuries and stroke sequels,with a better rapid analgesic effect as compared with ear perpendicular needling method.展开更多

Cases reports as well as series of COVID-19 patients have shown a wide variety of neurological symptoms such as stroke, encephalomyelitis, polyradiculoneuropathy and other neurological conditions. Jin Shengtan wrote his commentaries to the novel Water Margin(Shuihuzhuan)between 1641 and 1644,during the final years before the fall of the Ming dynasty.These commentaries are exceptional at least in part because th...Jin Shengtan wrote his commentaries to the novel Water Margin(Shuihuzhuan)between 1641 and 1644,during the final years before the fall of the Ming dynasty.These commentaries are exceptional at least in part because they reflect Jin's frustrations that came from trying to understand this period of chaos.But they are also a good example of how fiction commentary helped to shape the trajectory that the development of Chinese fiction would take,in the form of commentaries and sequels.This article offers a reading of Jin's commentaries to his 70-chapter edition of the Water Margin,to investigate how Jin radically reshaped the Water Margin as the masterpiece of a commentator of great literary genius.It analyses Jin's rhetoric of controlling interpretation and concludes that Jin's ultimate goal was to stabilize and prevent tampering of his"original"70-chapter edition,in an attempt to close off future possibilities of"sequeling"the Water Margin.展开更多
