Optimal Threshold for Self-adaptive Reactive Power Optimization Based on Event-triggered Algorithm

An optimization model has been established and solved to determine the optimal threshold value for the event-triggered self-adaptive optimization strategy,which aims to strike a balance between optimization performance and control load while ensuring continuous optimization.First,evaluation indicators are introduced to comprehensively analyze the impact of power fluctuations on the objective function and system voltage at both the system-wide and local levels.Based on these indicators,a multi-stage centralized optimization(MCO)is selectively applied,addressing system state deviations to achieve optimal operating states while maintaining a voltage security margin to ensure system safety.Then,distributed optimization(DO)is carried out at each bus with a renewable energy source or random load integration to accommodate short-term uncertainties using a self-adaptive reactive power algorithm.The optimal threshold value for event-triggered DO is calculated to balance control burden and optimization effectiveness.Utilizing the local state deviation evaluation indicator,unnecessary DOs are skipped when minor power fluctuations occur at the local level.Finally,following the linear superposition principle,event-triggered DOs executed at all distributed controllers collectively constitute the self-adaptive optimization strategy for the entire system.A case study on the IEEE New England 39-bus power system illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. 展开更多

Octopuses,due to their flexible arms,marvelous adaptability,and powerful suckers,are able to effortlessly grasp and disengage various objects in the marine surrounding without causing devastation.However,manipulating delicate objects such as soft and fragile foods underwater require gentle contact and stable adhesion,which poses a serious challenge to now available soft grippers.Inspired by the sucker infundibulum structure and flexible tentacles of octopus,herein we developed a hydraulically actuated hydrogel soft gripper with adaptive maneuverability by coupling multiple hydrogen bond-mediated supramolecular hydrogels and vat polymerization three-dimensional printing,in which hydrogel bionic sucker is composed of a tunable curvature membrane,a negative pressure cavity,and a pneumatic chamber.The design of the sucker structure with the alterable curvature membrane is conducive to realize the reliable and gentle switchable adhesion of the hydrogel soft gripper.As a proof-of-concept,the adaptive hydrogel soft gripper is capable of implement diversified underwater tasks,including gingerly grasping fragile foods like egg yolks and tofu,as well as underwater robots and vehicles that station-keeping and crawling based on switchable adhesion.This study therefore provides a transformative strategy for the design of novel soft grippers that will render promising utilities for underwater exploration soft robotics. 展开更多

The Coherence Cube Computing Method with Self-adaptive Time Window Based on Wavelet Transform 被引量:5

The coherence cube technology has become an important technology for the seismic attribute interpretation, which extracts the discontinuities of the events through analyzing the similarities of adjacent seismic channels to identify the fault form. The coherence cube technology which uses constant time window lengths can not balance the shallow layers and the deep layers, because the frequency band of seismic data varies with time. When analyzing the shallow layers, the time window will crossover a lot of events, which will lead to weak focusing ability and failure to delineate the details. While the time window will not be long enough for analyzing deep layers, which will lead to low accuracy because the coherences near the zero points of the events are heavily influenced by noise. For solving the problem, we should make a research on the coherence cube technology with self-adaptive time window. This paper determines the sample points&#39; time window lengths in real time by computing the instantaneous frequency bands with Wavelet Transformation, which gives a coherence computing method with the self-adaptive time window lengths. The result shows that the coherence cube technology with self-adaptive time window based on Wavelet Transformation improves the accuracy of fault identification, and supresses the noise effectively. The method combines the advantages of long time window method and short time window method. 展开更多

Solid lubricating coatings play a crucial role in preventing friction and wear failure of the hot-end sliding components in aviation engines.In this study,VAlN/Ag multi-layer coatings with excellent interfacial matching were fabricated using a hybrid magnetron sputtering technique.The type and energy of discharge plasmas were analyzed to comprehend their effects on depositing coatings.The coatings exhibit self-adaptive lubrication properties during the designed consecutive friction with stepwise heating from 25℃to 650℃.The microstructure evolution during early friction facilitates sufficient tribo-chemical reaction at 650℃,leading to the formation of a distinctive"ball-on-rail"structure that significantly reduces friction coefficient.Based on the first-principles calculations,it was found that the bond energy of Ag-O is lower than that of V-O in both AgVO_(3)and Ag_(3)VO_(4),which promotes slipping along the(110)crystal plane and contributes to exceptional tribological properties.The fatigue wear failure mechanism of hard coatings under the thermal-force coupling effects has been elucidated,alongside an exploration of consecutive tribology mechanism at atomic scales over a wide temperature range. 展开更多

Gecko-inspired van der Waals force-based adhesion technology demonstrates significant potential for robotic operations.While superior adhesion is achieved under parallel contact during testing,engineering operations often involve non-parallel contact,weakening adhesion,and compromising task stability and efficiency.Stable attachment under such non-parallel contacts remains challenging.Inspired by the soft muscle and rigid bone in the gecko’s sole,this study proposes a self-adaptive core-shell dry adhesive by embedding a thin,rigid piece into a soft,thick elastomer comprising a top adhesion tip with a mushroom-like geometry for interfacial adhesion based on the van der Waals force and a bottom core-shell configuration for interface stress regulation.Unlike traditional core-shell structures with a fixed“dead core,”the proposed“live core”rotates within the soft shell,mimicking skeletal joints.This enables stress equalization at the interface and facilitates adaptive contact to macroscopic interfacial angle errors.This innovative core-shell configuration demonstrates an adhesion strength 100 times higher than conventional homogeneous structures under non-parallel contact and offers anti-overturning ability by mitigating torsional effects.The proposed strategy can advance the development of gecko-inspired adhesion-based devices and systems. 展开更多

The efficient regulation of sunlight to minimize unnecessary energy exchange through windows plays a vital role in advancing building energy efficiency.However,the inferior stability of cerium-doped tungsten trioxide(CWO)as a near-infrared(NIR)shielding material,combined with the poor mechanical properties of its coatings,poses significant challenges for long-term thermal insulation performance.Here,a hierarchical thermal insulation coating with multifunctional integration has been developed.The inner layer’s excellent NIR shielding performance(94.4%)results in a temperature reduction of 13.6°C,demonstrating outstanding thermal insulation.Meanwhile,the external layer composed of polysilsesquioxane grafted by carboxylated hexafluoropropylene trimer offers exceptional weather resistance due to the low surface energy.The fluorosilicone coating effectively mitigates oxidation of CWO,as evidenced by the retention of NIR shielding performance even after 30 days of exposure to 60°C and 90%relative humidity.Furthermore,the coating demonstrates superior anti-graffiti properties and achieves an ultra-high mechanical strength of 0.49 GPa through precise fluorine content modulation.This hierarchical design integrates high hardness,excellent abrasion resistance,anti-graffiti functionality,transparency,and long-term operational durability into a single smart window system,offering a promising solution for reducing building energy consumption. 展开更多

Scalable Fabrication of Large-Scale Electrochromic Smart Windows for Superior Solar Radiation Regulation and Energy Savings

Electrochromic smart windows(ESWs)can significantly reduce building energy consumption,but the high cost hinders large-scale production.The in situ growth of tungsten oxide(WO_(3))films is only by a simple immersion process,the silver nanowires(AgNWs)undergo oxidation to Ag^(+)ions through electron loss,and the liberated electrons provide driving force for the deposition of WO_(4)^(2-).Enabled the fabrication of large-area WO_(3)films and ESWs were fabricated under minimal laboratory conditions,demonstrating the economic feasibility,efficient and reliable nature of industrial production.Structural characterization and density functional theory calculations were combined to confirm that AgNWs effectively regulate oxygen vacancies of WO_(3)films and promote the in situ growth process.The optimized WO_(3)exhibits a maximum transmittance modulation of 90.8%and excellent cycling stability of 20,000 cycles.The largescale WO_(3)-based ESWs can save building energy up to 140.0 MJ m^(-2)compared to traditional windows in tropical regions,as verified by simulations more than40 global cities.This research provides a new approach for improving the performance and industrial production of ESW,providing the full understanding and development direction to short the distance of the ESW commercial production. 展开更多

Towards the development of highly efficient electrochromic coatings,the crystallinity,morphology(e.g.size and shape)of electrochromic nanomaterials,and their charge insertion capacities play a significant role.Herein,we report the structure-dependent colouration effciency in electrochromic coatings based on the use of 0D,1D and 2D tungsten trioxide(WO_(3))nanostructures.A series of WO_(3)with different nanostructures were prepared and used as working electrodes to fabricate electrochromic devices for smart windows applications.Facile spray coating was applied on fluorine-doped tin oxide(FTO)substrate to make~70%transparent working electrodes to investigate their charge insertion capacities,electrochromic active surface area,and colouration efficiency.Results showed that the 2D WO_(3)nanoflakes displayed the highest diffusion coefficient for the intercalation of 1.52×10^(-10)cm^(2)/s with an increased electrochemical active surface area of 25.10 mF/cm^(2),a large modulation of optical reflectance(42.63%)with 3.79 s shorter response time for bleaching and a greater colouration efficiency(CE)value(89.29 cm^(2)/C)at 700 nm compared to the CE value for 1D WO_(3)(of 22 cm^(2)/C)and 0D WO_(3)(8 cm^(2)/C).The outcome of this study provides a new insight and valuable contribution to design an efficient electrochromic coating by controlling and optimising the nanostructures of selective electrochromic materials. 展开更多

With the rapid development of intelligent navigation technology,efficient and safe path planning for mobile robots has become a core requirement.To address the challenges of complex dynamic environments,this paper proposes an intelligent path planning framework based on grid map modeling.First,an improved Safe and Smooth A*(SSA*)algorithm is employed for global path planning.By incorporating obstacle expansion and cornerpoint optimization,the proposed SSA*enhances the safety and smoothness of the planned path.Then,a Partitioned Dynamic Window Approach(PDWA)is integrated for local planning,which is triggered when dynamic or sudden static obstacles appear,enabling real-time obstacle avoidance and path adjustment.A unified objective function is constructed,considering path length,safety,and smoothness comprehensively.Multiple simulation experiments are conducted on typical port grid maps.The results demonstrate that the improved SSA*significantly reduces the number of expanded nodes and computation time in static environmentswhile generating smoother and safer paths.Meanwhile,the PDWA exhibits strong real-time performance and robustness in dynamic scenarios,achieving shorter paths and lower planning times compared to other graph search algorithms.The proposedmethodmaintains stable performance across maps of different scales and various port scenarios,verifying its practicality and potential for wider application. 展开更多

Energy-saving buildings(ESBs)are an emerging green technology that can significantly reduce building-associated cooling and heating energy consumption,catering to the desire for carbon neutrality and sustainable development of society.Smart photovoltaic windows(SPWs)offer a promising platform for designing ESBs because they present the capability to regulate and harness solar energy.With frequent outbreaks of extreme weather all over the world,the achievement of exceptional energy-saving effect under different weather conditions is an inevitable trend for the development of ESBs but is hardly achieved via existing SPWs.Here,we substantially reduce the driving voltage of polymerdispersed liquid crystals(PDLCs)by 28.1%via molecular engineering while maintaining their high solar transmittance(T_(sol)=83.8%,transparent state)and solar modulating ability(ΔT_(sol)=80.5%).By the assembly of perovskite solar cell and a broadband thermal-managing unit encompassing the electrical-responsive PDLCs,transparent high-emissivity SiO_(2) passive radiation-cooling,and Ag low-emissivity layers possesses,we present a tri-band regulation and split-type SPW possessing superb energy-saving effect in all-season.The perovskite solar cell can produce the electric power to stimulate the electrical-responsive behavior of the PDLCs,endowing the SPWs zero-energy input solar energy regulating characteristic,and compensate the daily energy consumption needed for ESBs.Moreover,the scalable manufacturing technology holds a great potential for the real-world applications. 展开更多

Joining dissimilar materials encounters significant engineering challenges due to the contrast in material properties that makes conventional welding not feasible.Magnetic Pulse Welding(MPW)offers a solidstate joining technique that overcomes these issues by using impact to create strong bonds without melting the substrate materials.This study investigates the weldability of aluminum alloy Al-5754 with Al-7075 and MARS 380 steel,used in armouring solutions of defense systems,by the use of MPW.In this work,weldability windows are investigated by varying standoff distances between the coating material and its substrate(0.25-4.5 mm)and discharge energies(5-13 kJ)with both O-shape and U-shape inductors.Mechanical strength of the welded joints were assessed through single lap shear tests,identifying optimal welding parameters.Then,the velocity profiles of the flyer plates were measured using heterodyne velocimetry to understand the dynamics of the impact.Then,substructures assembled with the optimal welding conditions were subjected to ballistic testing using 7.62 mm×51 mm NATO and 9 mm×19 mm Parabellum munitions to evaluate the resilience of the welds under ballistic impact.The outcomes demonstrate that MPW effectively joins Al-5754 with both Al-7075 and MARS 380,producing robust welds capable of withstanding ballistic impacts under certain conditions.This research advances the application of MPW in lightweight ballistic protection of defense systems,contributing to the development of more resilient and lighter protective structures. 展开更多

Clinical Observation of TCM Constitution Theory-Based Intervention in the Critical Window of AECOPD

Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of TCM syndrome differentiation-guided herbal intervention for patients with five constitutions during the high-risk window period of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)based on TCM constitution theory.Methods:A total of 300 AECOPD patients in the high-risk window period(54-66 cases for each constitution)were randomly divided into two groups(150 cases each).The control group received fluticasone furoate/umeclidinium/vilanterol inhalation therapy,while the experimental group was additionally given constitution-specific TCM decoctions(e.g.,Erchen Decoction combined with Sanzi Yangqin Decoction for Phlegm-Dampness constitution).The treatment course was 8 weeks with a 6-month follow-up.CAT score,TCM syndrome score,pulmonary function,6-minute walking distance(6MWD),and levels of CRP and IL-6 were observed.Recurrence and safety indicators were recorded.Results:After treatment,all indicators improved significantly in both groups(p<0.05),with the experimental group showing superior improvements in CAT score,TCM syndrome score,FEV1,6MWD,and inflammatory indicators(p<0.01).The recurrence rate was lower in the experimental group during follow-up(p<0.05).No severe adverse reactions or abnormalities in liver/kidney function were observed in either group.Conclusion:TCM syndrome differentiation treatment guided by constitution theory can improve symptoms,quality of life,and pulmonary function,reduce inflammatory levels and recurrence rate in AECOPD patients during the high-risk window period,with good safety. 展开更多

Most of the carbonate formation are highly heterogeneous with cavities of different sizes, which makes the prediction of cavity-filled reservoir in carbonate rocks difficult. Large cavities in carbonate formations pose serious threat to drilling operations. Logging-whiledrilling (LWD) is currently used to accurately identify and evaluate cavities in reservoirs during drilling. In this study, we use the self-adaptive hp-FEM algorithm simulate and calculate the LWD resistivity responses of fracture-cavity reservoir cavities. Compared with the traditional h-FEM method, the self-adaptive hp-FEM algorithm has the characteristics of the self-adaptive mesh refinement and the calculations exponentially converge to highly accurate solutions. Using numerical simulations, we investigated the effect of the cavity size, distance between cavity and borehole, and transmitted frequency on the LWD resistivity response. Based on the results, a method for recognizing cavities is proposed. This research can provide the theoretical basis for the accurate identification and quantitative evaluation of various carbonate reservoirs with cavities encountered in practice. 展开更多

Effective guidance is one of the most important tasks to the performance of air-to-air missile. The fuzzy logic controller is able to perform effectively even in situations where the information about the plant is inaccurate and the operating conditions are uncertain. Based on the proportional navigation, the fuzzy logic and the genetic algorithm are combined to develop an evolutionary fuzzy navigation law with self-adapt region for the air-to-air missile guidance. The line of sight (LOS) rate and the closing speed between the missile and the target are inputs of the fuzzy controller. The output of the fuzzy controller is the commanded acceleration. Then a nonlinear function based on the conventional fuzzy logic control is imported to change the region. This nonlinear function can be changed with the input variables. So the dynamic change of the fuzzy variable region is achieved. The guidance law is optimized by the genetic algorithm. Simulation results of air-to-air missile attack using MATLAB show that the method needs less acceleration and shorter flying time, and its realization is simple.[KH*3/4D] 展开更多

Bio-inspired manufacturing system can well satisfy these requirements. For this purpose, by referencing the biological organization structure and the mechanism, a bio-inspired manufacturing cell is presented from a novel view, and then a bio-inspired self-adaptive manufacturing model is established based on the ultra-short feedback mechanism of the neuro-endocrine system. A hio-inspired self-adaptive manufacturing system coordinated model is also established based on the neuro-endocrine-immunity system (NEIS). Finally, an example based on pheromone communication mechanism indicates that the robustness of the whole manufacturing system is improved by bio-inspired technologies. 展开更多

To improve billet quality and the trackability and stability of secondary cooling water during continuous casting, the superheat is introduced into the water distribution for secondary cooling to design the relevant control system, based on the water distribution model, superheat and fuzzy self-adaptive PID (process identity) . A spray cooling system is set up for simulation test in laboratory to test the step signal from the conventional, integral sepa rated and fuzzy self-adaptive PID controllers and the simulation casting. And the on-site test is done in some steel plant. The test results show that the fuzzy self-adaptive PID controller's performance is better than that of the other two controllers, which provides a basis for further study and application. 展开更多

Some symbols which relevant to the CJWTA are defined firstly. Then, a formulation of jamming fitness is presented. Final y, a model of the CJWTA problem is constructed. In order to solve the CJWTA problem efficiently, a self-adaptive learning based discrete differential evolution (SLDDE) algorithm is proposed by introduc-ing a self-adaptive learning mechanism into the traditional discrete differential evolution algorithm. The SLDDE algorithm steers four candidate solution generation strategies simultaneously in the framework of the self-adaptive learning mechanism. Computa-tional simulations are conducted on ten test instances of CJWTA problem. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed SLDDE algorithm not only can generate better results than only one strategy based discrete differential algorithms, but also outper-forms two algorithms which are proposed recently for the weapon-target assignment problems. 展开更多

A self-adaptive-grid method is applied to numerical simulation of the evolu- tion of aircraft wake vortex with the large eddy simulation (LES). The Idaho Falls (IDF) measurement of run 9 case is simulated numerically and compared with that of the field experimental data. The comparison shows that the method is reliable in the complex atmospheric environment with crosswind and ground effect. In addition, six cases with different ambient atmospheric turbulences and Brunt V^iis/il^i (BV) frequencies are com- puted with the LES. The main characteristics of vortex are appropriately simulated by the current method. The onset time of rapid decay and the descending of vortices are in agreement with the previous measurements and the numerical prediction. Also, sec-ondary structures such as baroclinic vorticity and helical structures are also simulated. Only approximately 6 million grid points are needed in computation with the present method, while the number can be as large as 34 million when using a uniform mesh with the same core resolution. The self-adaptive-grid method is proved to be practical in the numerical research of aircraft wake vortex. 展开更多
