However, its measuring accuracy is highly dominated by the geometric errors of the tracking mirror mechanism. Proper calibration of LTS is essential prior to the use of it for metrology. A kinematics model that describes not only the motion but also the geometric variations of LTS is developed. Through error analysis of the proposed model, it is claimed that gimbals axis misalignments and tracking mirror center off-set are the key contributors to measuring errors of LTS. A self-calibration method is presented of calibrating LTS with planar constraints. Various calibration strategies utilizing single-plane and multiple-plane constraints are proposed for different situations. For each calibration strategy, issues about the error parameter estimation of LTS are exploded to find out in which conditions these parameters can be uniquely estimated. Moreover, these conditions reveal the applicability of the planar constraints to LTS self-calibration. Intensive studies have been made to check validity of the theoretical results. The results show that the measuring accuracy of LTS has increased by 5 times since this technique for calibration is used.展开更多

We find that these self-propelled particles freeze into the crystal with the increase in the packing fraction. We observe the pattern evolution of inevitable topological defects due to the geometric constraints of the spherical substrate. During the process of freezing, there is a transition from twelve isolated grain boundaries to the uniform distribution of defects with the increase in the self-propelled velocity. Finally, we establish a phase diagram of the freezing process. These results may deepen our understanding of active particles in complex and crowded environments.展开更多

In this regard, this paper proposes a novel solution methodology based on bat algorithm to solve the op- timal energy management of MG including several RESs with the back-up of Fuel Cell (FC), Wind Turbine (WT), Photovoltaics (PV), Micro Turbine (MT) as well as storage devices to meet the energy mismatch. The problem is formulated as a nonlinear constraint optimization problem to minimize the total cost of the grid and RESs, simultaneously. In addition, the problem considers the interactive effects of MG and utility in a 24 hour time interval which would in- crease the complexity of the problem from the optimization point of view more severely. The proposed optimization technique is consisted of a self adaptive modification method compromised of two modification methods based on bat algorithm to explore the total search space globally. The superiority of the proposed method over the other well-known algorithms is demonstrated through a typical renewable MG as the test system.展开更多

New coding regulations or rules are designed. The sinusoidal function is adopted as the self-adapting factor, thus making cross probability and variable probability automatically change with group adaptability in such a way as to overcome the shortcoming in the heuristic algorithm and common GA, so that the operation efficiency is improved. The results from real example simulation and comparison with other algorithms indicate that the mixed self-adapting GA algorithm can well solve the job-shop optimal scheduling problem under the constraints of various kinds of production resources such as machine-tools and cutting tools.展开更多
