High-salt diet is well recognized as a risk factor for hypertension,and dietary intervention plays a critical role in the prevention of hypertension.The current study investigated the effects of selenium-enriched gree...High-salt diet is well recognized as a risk factor for hypertension,and dietary intervention plays a critical role in the prevention of hypertension.The current study investigated the effects of selenium-enriched green tea(Se-GT)and ordinary green tea(GT)on prevention of hypertension of rats induced by high-salt diet,as well as their potential regulatory and mechanism.Our results showed that GT and Se-GT supplementations significantly prevented the increase of blood pressure(BP),activated the phosphoinosmde-3-kinase/protein kinase B(PI3K/Akt)signaling pathway,and regulated the gene expression related to BP,as well as improved the tissue damage like heart,liver,and kidneys.Besides,the key parameters associated with oxidative stress,inflammation and endothelial dysfunction were also altered by GT and Se-GT treatments.Importantly,GT or Se-GT administration adjusted the diversity and composition of the intestinal flora.Moreover,GT and Se-GT supplementations increased the abundance of beneficial bacteria and reduced the abundance of harmful or conditional pathogenic bacteria.More specifically,GT intake specifically and significantly enriched the relative abundance of Paraprevotella and Bacteroides,whereas Se-GT was characterized by specific and significant enrichment for Allobaculum and Bifidobacterium.Our results proved that dietary supplement of GT and Se-GT remarkably improved the vascular functions and effectively prevented tissue damage by regulation of intestinal flora,and thus preventing hypertension induced by high-salt diet.展开更多
Background Organic selenium(Se)has gained recognition in poultry nutrition as a feed additive to boost production and Se deposition in eggs and tissues,owing to its high bioavailability,efficient tissue accumulation a...Background Organic selenium(Se)has gained recognition in poultry nutrition as a feed additive to boost production and Se deposition in eggs and tissues,owing to its high bioavailability,efficient tissue accumulation and minimal toxicity.Selenium-enriched yeast(SeY)is a well-established source,while selenium-enriched lactobacilli(SeL),a newer alternative,offers the added benefits of probiotics.This study examined the effects of SeY and SeL on egg quality,antioxidant capacity,Se deposition,and gut health in laying hens.After a two-week pre-treatment with a Sedeficient diet(SeD),450 Hy-Line Brown laying hens(30-week-old)were assigned into five dietary groups with six replicates of 15 hens each.The groups included a SeD,SeD supplemented with 1.5 mg Se/kg from SeY(SeY15),or 1.5,3.0,and 6.0 mg Se/kg from SeL(SeL15,SeL30,SeL60).The feeding trial lasted for 12 weeks.Results SeY15 and SeL15 improved the feed-to-egg ratio(P<0.05)in the latter stages.Haugh units were significantly increased(P<0.05)in the SeY15 and SeL30 groups,while darker yolk color(P<0.05)was observed in the SeY15,SeL15,and SeL60 groups.All Se-supplemented diets increased Se content in whole eggs,albumen,and yolk(P<0.05),while SeL groups showed a dose-dependent effect.Antioxidant enzyme activities increased,and MDA content decreased in the serum(P<0.05),with SeY15 showing the highest GSH-Px levels(P<0.05).SeL60 increased serum alkaline phosphatase and aspartate transaminase,and distorted the liver architecture(P<0.05).Se-diets reduced concentrations of reactive oxygen species(ROS)in the ileum and liver(P<0.05).SeL15 improved the ileal villus height-tocrypt depth ratio(P<0.05).SeY15 and/or SeL15 up-regulated TXNRD1 and SEPHS1 mRNA while down-regulating SCLY expression in the liver.SeY15 altered ileal microbiota by increasing both beneficial and pathogenic bacteria,whereas SeL15 predominantly boosted beneficial bacteria.Conclusion SeL integrates the antioxidant properties of organic Se with the probiotic benefits on gut health,resulting in a performance-enhancing effect comparable to that of SeY.However,high SeL level(6.0 mg Se/kg)compromised productivity and metabolic functions while enhancing Se deposition.展开更多
Both tea polyphenols and selenium(Se)have been suggested to exert the health benefits via the regulatory capacities of chronic inflammation,which make Se-enriched oolong tea a promising beverage as an anti-inflammator...Both tea polyphenols and selenium(Se)have been suggested to exert the health benefits via the regulatory capacities of chronic inflammation,which make Se-enriched oolong tea a promising beverage as an anti-inflammatory diet.The aim of this study is to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of Se-enriched oolong tea extract(Se-TE)and underlying mechanism in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced RAW264.7 cells.Se-TE treatments(50 and 150μg/m L)significantly suppressed the over-production of nitric oxide(NO)and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)in LPS-stimulated macrophages via downregulating the expression of nitric oxide synthase(i NOS)and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2).Moreover,Se-TEs also effectively inhibited the productions of inflammatory cytokines,such as tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),and interleukin-1β(IL-1β).Furthermore,Se-TE could block mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathways through the inhibition of the phosphorylation of key proteins(IκB-α,p65,p38,ERK,and JNK)and the translocation of the p65 subunit into the nucleus.Collectively,our results indicated that Se-TE may have the potential to be used as a novel food ingredient for the development of various anti-inflammatory foods and the treatment and prevention of chronic inflammation-related diseases.展开更多

Through the analysis of Qinghai selenium-enriched soil selenium content and5 kinds of main vegetables corresponds to the total selenium,part of the mineral elements and soluble sugar and VC content,the effects of soil selenium levels on selenium absorption and nourishment quality of vegetables were researched. The results showed that he Qinghai selenium-enriched soil selenium content in the range of 100. 00-563. 00 μg/kg,among them,the soil samples with sufficient selenium and rich selenium accounted for 76. 53% and 18. 88%,respectively. Soil selenium content of garlic sampling area was relatively high,and soil selenium content of sugar beet sampling area was relatively low. Vegetable selenium content was in the range of 11. 00-340. 94 μg/kg,the average content of total selenium content of garlic was up to 170. 40 μg/kg,and the average content of the total selenium content of radish is 73. 00 μg/kg.90. 63% of the vegetables in the region reached the level of sufficient selenium,and 70. 31% reached the level of selenium enrichment. China has limited acaricide options for tea plantations.Cyetpyrafen,a novel domestic acaricide with high efficacy,low toxicity and a negative temperature coefficient,offers an alternative for tea pest control;however,...China has limited acaricide options for tea plantations.Cyetpyrafen,a novel domestic acaricide with high efficacy,low toxicity and a negative temperature coefficient,offers an alternative for tea pest control;however,its residue fate in tea remains unclear.This study developed a method to simultaneously detect cyetpyrafen and its metabolites(M-309,M-325-1,and M-409-3)in different tea matrices to investigate their fate.Recoveries of compounds ranged from 73.4 to 106.2%with the relative standard deviations(RSDs)below 12.0%.During tea cultivation,the dissipation half-life of cyetpyrafen was 0.59 d,with M-309 as a major metabolite.The residues of cyetpyrafen and M-309 were affected by different processing stages,especially water loss and high temperatures during fixing,drying and withering.The total processing factors ranged from 1.39 to 1.71 for green tea and 1.48 to 2.28 for black tea(processed from fresh tea leaves sampled at 1,5,and 7 d),respectively.The leaching rates of cyetpyrafen from green tea and black tea into tea infusions were 7.4 and 6%,respectively.The risk associated with cyetpyrafen intake from tea consumption was low,with risk quotient values below 100%.However,theoretical calculation indicated potential harm to non-target organisms from its metabolites.This research provides a reference for the safe and efficient use of cyetpyrafen in tea gardens.展开更多
Vine tea is documented in ancient Chinese books as having the function of promoting blood circulation.However,its effects and mechanisms remain unclear.The aim of this study was to comprehensively investigate the prot...Vine tea is documented in ancient Chinese books as having the function of promoting blood circulation.However,its effects and mechanisms remain unclear.The aim of this study was to comprehensively investigate the protective potential and mechanisms of vine tea in high-fat diet rat through a combination of in vivo and in vitro experiments.The efficacy of vine tea was evaluated using a high-fat diet rat model and an oxidized low-density lipoprotein-treated cell model,with physiological and biochemical indicators measured in rat serum and cell supernatants.Transcriptomics was utilized to investigate alterations mRNA expression following the administration of dihydromyricetin in cell model.Metabolomics and 16S rRNA sequencing was employed to examine changes in metabolites in the serum and changes in gut microbiota of high-fat diet rats after administering vine tea extract.Vine tea extract and dihydromyricetin can reduce elevated levels of lipids,including total cholesterol and triglycerides,following modeling.Transcriptomic data indicate that dihydromyricetin exerts its effects by regulating ferroptosis signaling pathways.Metabolomic analysis demonstrates that the administration of vine tea extract influences the vitamin K cycle and glutathione,thereby alleviating the progression of ferroptosis.Additionally,16S rRNA sequencing reveals that vine tea extract increases Lactobacillaceae in the gut microbiota,which subsequently affects the levels of lysophosphatidylcholine,a major phospholipid component of oxidized low-density lipoprotein in serum.Our results indicate that vine tea can regulate ferroptosis signaling pathways and increase Lactobacillaceae in the gut microbiota,thereby exhibiting cardiovascular protective effects in high-fat diet rats.展开更多
Carbon dots(CDs),nanoscale carbon-based particles ubiquitously present in thermally processed foods such as toasted products,exhibit exceptional structural stability even after gastrointestinal digestion,a property th...Carbon dots(CDs),nanoscale carbon-based particles ubiquitously present in thermally processed foods such as toasted products,exhibit exceptional structural stability even after gastrointestinal digestion,a property that facilitates their systemic absorption and bioaccumulation.Their persistence in biological systems enables direct interactions with small bioactive molecules,potentially modulating the functional properties of dietary components.This study systematically evaluates the impact of CDs on the antioxidant efficacy of tea polyphenols(TPs),a class of natural antioxidants widely recognized for their health-promoting effects.The structure,antioxidant capacity,and in vitro cytological effects of the CDs-TPs complex were also investigated.Our results demonstrate that CDs and TPs form stable complexes mediated by non-covalent interactions,with hydrogen bonding identified as the dominant mechanism–specifically between the phenolic hydroxyl groups of TPs and fluorescent carbon-rich domains on CDs.These interactions induced a concentration-dependent enhancement in fluorescence intensity,with optimal binding efficiency observed at low CDs/TPs molar ratios(1:1 and 10:1).Structural analyses revealed that TP binding altered the tertiary conformation of CDs,exposing additional luminescent sites and modifying surface charge distribution.Transcriptomic profiling further demonstrated dose-dependent increases in differentially expressed genes under higher CDs/TPs ratios,which were predominantly enriched in oxidative stress response pathways.Mechanistic studies identified the FoxO signaling pathway as a central regulatory axis,with CDs-TPs complexes modulating the expression of antioxidant-related genes(e.g.,SOD2)and downstream effectors involved in redox homeostasis.These findings not only elucidate the structure-function interplay governing CDs-TPs interactions,but also highlight their dual role as modulators of antioxidant activity and potential therapeutic agents,establishing a foundation for developing CD-based composite materials in targeted antioxidant therapies.展开更多
Materials exhibiting broadband nonlinear optical responses are critically important for ultrafast photonics applications,particularly as saturable absorbers(SAs)that facilitate broadband optical pulse generation.In th...Materials exhibiting broadband nonlinear optical responses are critically important for ultrafast photonics applications,particularly as saturable absorbers(SAs)that facilitate broadband optical pulse generation.In this study,tea polyphenolpolyvinyl alcohol(TP-PVA)composite films are synthesized via a polymer embedding method and employed as SAs to initiate ultrafast pulse operation in fiber lasers.The TP-PVA SA film exhibits excellent broadband saturable absorption performance at wavelengths of 1.0μm,1.5μm,and 2.0μm,with modulation depths of 54.21%,41.41%,and 51.16%,respectively.Stable passively mode-locked pulses with pulse widths of 588 fs,419 fs,and 743 fs are generated in Yb-,Er-,and Tm-doped fiber lasers,respectively.This work confirms the effective performance of TP-PVA as a broadband SA,and establishes a foundation for the integration of novel and sustainable materials within ultrafast photonic systems.The approach paves the way for developing compact broadband ultrafast laser systems operating in the near-infrared spectral region.展开更多
Understanding the molecular responses of tea leaves to mechanical stress is crucial for elucidating the mechanisms of post-harvest quality formation during oolong tea processing.This study employed an integrated multi...Understanding the molecular responses of tea leaves to mechanical stress is crucial for elucidating the mechanisms of post-harvest quality formation during oolong tea processing.This study employed an integrated multi-omics strategy to characterize the changes and interactions among metabolomic(MB),transcriptomic(TX),and proteomic(PT)profiles in mechanically stressed tea leaves.Mechanical stress initially activated damage-associated molecular patterns(DAMPs),including Ca^(2+)signaling,jasmonic acid signaling,and glutathione metabolism pathways.These processes subsequently induced quality-related metabolic pathways(QRMPs),particularly α-linolenic acid and phenylalanine metabolism.Upregulated expression of LOX,ADH1,and PAR genes,together with the increased abundance of their encoded proteins,respectively promoted the accumulation of jasmine lactone,benzyl alcohol,and 2-phenylethanol.These findings indicate that mechanical stress influences the metabolite biosynthesis in tea leaves through coordinated molecular responses.This study provides new insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying tea leaf responses to mechanical stress and a foundation for future investigations into how early molecular events may contribute to post-harvest metabolic changes during oolong tea processing.展开更多
Tea plant(Camellia sinensis(L.)O.Kuntze)is a cold-sensitive leaf-harvesting crop whose growth,yield,and processed tea quality are all inhibited by low temperatures.Therefore,identifying the regulatory genes involved i...Tea plant(Camellia sinensis(L.)O.Kuntze)is a cold-sensitive leaf-harvesting crop whose growth,yield,and processed tea quality are all inhibited by low temperatures.Therefore,identifying the regulatory genes involved in tea plant growth and freezing tolerance is crucial for genetic improvement.WRKY transcription factors regulate various plant processes,including growth and development,stress responses,and metabolite biosynthesis.However,the molecular network through which WRKY coordinates these pathways in tea plants remains unclear.In this study,we revealed that CsWRKY57L,a cold-inducible WRKY IIc subfamily member,positively regulated freezing tolerance by directly promoting flavonoid accumulation in tea plants.Transient suppression of CsWRKY57L weakened the freezing tolerance of tea plants by reducing flavonoid content and suppressing the C-repeat-binding factor(CBF)-cold-responsive(COR)gene pathway.In contrast,heterologous overexpression of CsWRKY57L in Arabidopsis had the opposite effect.Additionally,overexpression of CsWRKY57L inhibited reproductive development and accelerated senescence in Arabidopsis.Interaction analysis revealed that CsWRKY57L directly binds to the promoters of CsSWEET1a,CsSWEET15,and AtSWEET15,which encode sugar transporters essential for plant reproductive development,and inhibits their transcription.Overall,the study revealed a dual role of CsWRKY57L in promoting freezing tolerance via flavonoid biosynthesis and inhibiting reproductive development by regulating SWEETs expression.This study uncovers a novel mechanism whereby CsWRKY57L coordinately regulates both stress responses and growth in tea plants,providing a molecular basis for breeding low-temperature-tolerant varieties with restricted reproductive development.展开更多
Heat stress reduces theanine content in tea plants,but the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear.In this study,a temperature gradient treatment(20℃,25℃,30℃,and 35℃)was performed to unveil the effect of he...Heat stress reduces theanine content in tea plants,but the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear.In this study,a temperature gradient treatment(20℃,25℃,30℃,and 35℃)was performed to unveil the effect of heat stress on biosynthesis and accumulation of theanine.We found that heat stress induced metabolic changes,characterized by decreased theanine content and increased catechin levels.In addition,heat stress up-regulated the expression of the class B heat shock transcription factor gene CsHSFB2c,while significantly suppressing the transcription of key theanine biosynthetic genes CsTS1 and CsGS1.Functional studies showed that silencing CsHSFB2c increased theanine content,while its overexpression significantly decreased theanine levels.Consistent with these changes,silencing CsHSFB2c upregulated the expression of CsTS1 and CsGS1,while overexpression of CsHSFB2c downregulated their expression.Yeast one-hybrid(Y1H)and dual-luciferase reporter gene(Dual-LUC)assays showed that CsHSFB2c directly binds to the promoters of CsTS1 and CsGS1 and inhibits their expression.These results demonstrate that CsHSFB2c mediates heat-induced suppression of theanine biosynthesis by directly inhibiting the expression of CsTS1 and CsGS1.This study provides a theoretical basis for improving the heat resistance and quality of tea plants via molecular breeding.展开更多

We also ...The objective of this study was to verify the protective effect of Bifidobacterium longum(BL) and the synergistical effect of Selenium and BL on alcohol plus high fat diet(HFD) induced hepatic injury in mice. We also want to explore the mechanism of Selenium-enriched Bifidobacterium longum(Se BL). C57 BL/6 mice were treated with alcohol plus HFD with or without different dosage of BL or Se BL for 4 weeks. Serum levels of ALT, AST, TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, FFAs, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β, hepatic MDA level, SOD activity, the m RNA levels of AMPK, PPAR-α and SREBP1 were invested. Se BL inhibited lipid accumulation in hepatocytes;reduced serum AST and ALT levels;improved dyslipidemia;decreased serum FFAs, TC, TG and LDL-C levels. Se BL also inhibited alcohol plus HFD-induced hepatocyte oxidative stress through decrease in hepatic MDA levels and increase in SOD activity. Se BL also regulated lipid metabolism related genes such as AMPK, PPAR-α and SREBP1. Although BL had similar effect as Se BL, Se BL is more effective than BL. Se BL protected mice from alcohol plus HFD-induced hepatic injury in mice because of its inhibitory effect on hepatocellular oxidative stress, lipogenesis and inflammation. Selenium enhanced the protective effect of BL.展开更多

[Methods]Selenium-enriched rice was used as materials to extract selenoproteins by phosphate buffer extraction method and to optimize the extraction process of selenoproteins by using the orthogonal experiment. Proteins and selenium content was measured by Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250 reagent and AFS( atomic fluorescence spectrometry) respectively. [Results] The most significant factor affecting extraction of rice Selenoproteins was extraction NaO H concentration,followed by the ratio of solid-liquid,temperature and then extraction time. The optimum extraction conditions of selenoproteins from rice were extraction temperature of 50 ℃,NaO H concentration of 0. 14 mol/L,extraction time of 5 h,and solid-liquid ratio of 1∶ 30. [Conclusions]The alkali extraction process optimized by orthogonal test could effectively improve the extraction rate of selenoproteins,and the optimized process parameters could be popularized and applied in practical production.展开更多

Transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS)is a kind of physical therapy that use electric cur-rent through the electrodes placed on the surface of acupoints to produce clinical effects in the human body,whic...Transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS)is a kind of physical therapy that use electric cur-rent through the electrodes placed on the surface of acupoints to produce clinical effects in the human body,which is characterized by less adverse reaction and convenient operation.It has been widely used in the treatment of various diseases.This review introduces six major clinical applications of TEAS,named analgesia,regulation of gastrointestinal function,improvement of reproductive function,enhancement of cognitive function,promotion of limb function recovery and relief of fatigue.Besides,TEAS has been ap-plied to the treatment of other chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes,achieving satisfactory clinical effects.However,two crucial challenges are encountered in the development of TEAS.One is the lack of standardization in the selection of parameters such as waveform,frequency,intensity and stimula-tion duration.The other is the limitation on the flexibility in the acupoint selection.This review analyzes key issues that need to be addressed in the current clinical application of TEAS,such as the selection of parameters and acupoints,and this review provides a certain reference value for optimizing regimens of TEAS and promoting its development and application.展开更多

文摘High-salt diet is well recognized as a risk factor for hypertension,and dietary intervention plays a critical role in the prevention of hypertension.The current study investigated the effects of selenium-enriched green tea(Se-GT)and ordinary green tea(GT)on prevention of hypertension of rats induced by high-salt diet,as well as their potential regulatory and mechanism.Our results showed that GT and Se-GT supplementations significantly prevented the increase of blood pressure(BP),activated the phosphoinosmde-3-kinase/protein kinase B(PI3K/Akt)signaling pathway,and regulated the gene expression related to BP,as well as improved the tissue damage like heart,liver,and kidneys.Besides,the key parameters associated with oxidative stress,inflammation and endothelial dysfunction were also altered by GT and Se-GT treatments.Importantly,GT or Se-GT administration adjusted the diversity and composition of the intestinal flora.Moreover,GT and Se-GT supplementations increased the abundance of beneficial bacteria and reduced the abundance of harmful or conditional pathogenic bacteria.More specifically,GT intake specifically and significantly enriched the relative abundance of Paraprevotella and Bacteroides,whereas Se-GT was characterized by specific and significant enrichment for Allobaculum and Bifidobacterium.Our results proved that dietary supplement of GT and Se-GT remarkably improved the vascular functions and effectively prevented tissue damage by regulation of intestinal flora,and thus preventing hypertension induced by high-salt diet.

文摘Background Organic selenium(Se)has gained recognition in poultry nutrition as a feed additive to boost production and Se deposition in eggs and tissues,owing to its high bioavailability,efficient tissue accumulation and minimal toxicity.Selenium-enriched yeast(SeY)is a well-established source,while selenium-enriched lactobacilli(SeL),a newer alternative,offers the added benefits of probiotics.This study examined the effects of SeY and SeL on egg quality,antioxidant capacity,Se deposition,and gut health in laying hens.After a two-week pre-treatment with a Sedeficient diet(SeD),450 Hy-Line Brown laying hens(30-week-old)were assigned into five dietary groups with six replicates of 15 hens each.The groups included a SeD,SeD supplemented with 1.5 mg Se/kg from SeY(SeY15),or 1.5,3.0,and 6.0 mg Se/kg from SeL(SeL15,SeL30,SeL60).The feeding trial lasted for 12 weeks.Results SeY15 and SeL15 improved the feed-to-egg ratio(P<0.05)in the latter stages.Haugh units were significantly increased(P<0.05)in the SeY15 and SeL30 groups,while darker yolk color(P<0.05)was observed in the SeY15,SeL15,and SeL60 groups.All Se-supplemented diets increased Se content in whole eggs,albumen,and yolk(P<0.05),while SeL groups showed a dose-dependent effect.Antioxidant enzyme activities increased,and MDA content decreased in the serum(P<0.05),with SeY15 showing the highest GSH-Px levels(P<0.05).SeL60 increased serum alkaline phosphatase and aspartate transaminase,and distorted the liver architecture(P<0.05).Se-diets reduced concentrations of reactive oxygen species(ROS)in the ileum and liver(P<0.05).SeL15 improved the ileal villus height-tocrypt depth ratio(P<0.05).SeY15 and/or SeL15 up-regulated TXNRD1 and SEPHS1 mRNA while down-regulating SCLY expression in the liver.SeY15 altered ileal microbiota by increasing both beneficial and pathogenic bacteria,whereas SeL15 predominantly boosted beneficial bacteria.Conclusion SeL integrates the antioxidant properties of organic Se with the probiotic benefits on gut health,resulting in a performance-enhancing effect comparable to that of SeY.However,high SeL level(6.0 mg Se/kg)compromised productivity and metabolic functions while enhancing Se deposition.

文摘Both tea polyphenols and selenium(Se)have been suggested to exert the health benefits via the regulatory capacities of chronic inflammation,which make Se-enriched oolong tea a promising beverage as an anti-inflammatory diet.The aim of this study is to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of Se-enriched oolong tea extract(Se-TE)and underlying mechanism in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced RAW264.7 cells.Se-TE treatments(50 and 150μg/m L)significantly suppressed the over-production of nitric oxide(NO)and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)in LPS-stimulated macrophages via downregulating the expression of nitric oxide synthase(i NOS)and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2).Moreover,Se-TEs also effectively inhibited the productions of inflammatory cytokines,such as tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),and interleukin-1β(IL-1β).Furthermore,Se-TE could block mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathways through the inhibition of the phosphorylation of key proteins(IκB-α,p65,p38,ERK,and JNK)and the translocation of the p65 subunit into the nucleus.Collectively,our results indicated that Se-TE may have the potential to be used as a novel food ingredient for the development of various anti-inflammatory foods and the treatment and prevention of chronic inflammation-related diseases.
文摘In order to improve the added value of the main vegetable products in Qinghai Province,we researched the effect of soil selenium content on vegetable quality in selenium-enriched area of Qinghai. Through the analysis of Qinghai selenium-enriched soil selenium content and5 kinds of main vegetables corresponds to the total selenium,part of the mineral elements and soluble sugar and VC content,the effects of soil selenium levels on selenium absorption and nourishment quality of vegetables were researched. The results showed that he Qinghai selenium-enriched soil selenium content in the range of 100. 00-563. 00 μg/kg,among them,the soil samples with sufficient selenium and rich selenium accounted for 76. 53% and 18. 88%,respectively. Soil selenium content of garlic sampling area was relatively high,and soil selenium content of sugar beet sampling area was relatively low. Vegetable selenium content was in the range of 11. 00-340. 94 μg/kg,the average content of total selenium content of garlic was up to 170. 40 μg/kg,and the average content of the total selenium content of radish is 73. 00 μg/kg.90. 63% of the vegetables in the region reached the level of sufficient selenium,and 70. 31% reached the level of selenium enrichment. The average content of Ca and Mg was higher than the national average. There was no significant correlation between selenium content of soil and vegetable and nutritional quality.

文摘China has limited acaricide options for tea plantations.Cyetpyrafen,a novel domestic acaricide with high efficacy,low toxicity and a negative temperature coefficient,offers an alternative for tea pest control;however,its residue fate in tea remains unclear.This study developed a method to simultaneously detect cyetpyrafen and its metabolites(M-309,M-325-1,and M-409-3)in different tea matrices to investigate their fate.Recoveries of compounds ranged from 73.4 to 106.2%with the relative standard deviations(RSDs)below 12.0%.During tea cultivation,the dissipation half-life of cyetpyrafen was 0.59 d,with M-309 as a major metabolite.The residues of cyetpyrafen and M-309 were affected by different processing stages,especially water loss and high temperatures during fixing,drying and withering.The total processing factors ranged from 1.39 to 1.71 for green tea and 1.48 to 2.28 for black tea(processed from fresh tea leaves sampled at 1,5,and 7 d),respectively.The leaching rates of cyetpyrafen from green tea and black tea into tea infusions were 7.4 and 6%,respectively.The risk associated with cyetpyrafen intake from tea consumption was low,with risk quotient values below 100%.However,theoretical calculation indicated potential harm to non-target organisms from its metabolites.This research provides a reference for the safe and efficient use of cyetpyrafen in tea gardens.

文摘Vine tea is documented in ancient Chinese books as having the function of promoting blood circulation.However,its effects and mechanisms remain unclear.The aim of this study was to comprehensively investigate the protective potential and mechanisms of vine tea in high-fat diet rat through a combination of in vivo and in vitro experiments.The efficacy of vine tea was evaluated using a high-fat diet rat model and an oxidized low-density lipoprotein-treated cell model,with physiological and biochemical indicators measured in rat serum and cell supernatants.Transcriptomics was utilized to investigate alterations mRNA expression following the administration of dihydromyricetin in cell model.Metabolomics and 16S rRNA sequencing was employed to examine changes in metabolites in the serum and changes in gut microbiota of high-fat diet rats after administering vine tea extract.Vine tea extract and dihydromyricetin can reduce elevated levels of lipids,including total cholesterol and triglycerides,following modeling.Transcriptomic data indicate that dihydromyricetin exerts its effects by regulating ferroptosis signaling pathways.Metabolomic analysis demonstrates that the administration of vine tea extract influences the vitamin K cycle and glutathione,thereby alleviating the progression of ferroptosis.Additionally,16S rRNA sequencing reveals that vine tea extract increases Lactobacillaceae in the gut microbiota,which subsequently affects the levels of lysophosphatidylcholine,a major phospholipid component of oxidized low-density lipoprotein in serum.Our results indicate that vine tea can regulate ferroptosis signaling pathways and increase Lactobacillaceae in the gut microbiota,thereby exhibiting cardiovascular protective effects in high-fat diet rats.

文摘Carbon dots(CDs),nanoscale carbon-based particles ubiquitously present in thermally processed foods such as toasted products,exhibit exceptional structural stability even after gastrointestinal digestion,a property that facilitates their systemic absorption and bioaccumulation.Their persistence in biological systems enables direct interactions with small bioactive molecules,potentially modulating the functional properties of dietary components.This study systematically evaluates the impact of CDs on the antioxidant efficacy of tea polyphenols(TPs),a class of natural antioxidants widely recognized for their health-promoting effects.The structure,antioxidant capacity,and in vitro cytological effects of the CDs-TPs complex were also investigated.Our results demonstrate that CDs and TPs form stable complexes mediated by non-covalent interactions,with hydrogen bonding identified as the dominant mechanism–specifically between the phenolic hydroxyl groups of TPs and fluorescent carbon-rich domains on CDs.These interactions induced a concentration-dependent enhancement in fluorescence intensity,with optimal binding efficiency observed at low CDs/TPs molar ratios(1:1 and 10:1).Structural analyses revealed that TP binding altered the tertiary conformation of CDs,exposing additional luminescent sites and modifying surface charge distribution.Transcriptomic profiling further demonstrated dose-dependent increases in differentially expressed genes under higher CDs/TPs ratios,which were predominantly enriched in oxidative stress response pathways.Mechanistic studies identified the FoxO signaling pathway as a central regulatory axis,with CDs-TPs complexes modulating the expression of antioxidant-related genes(e.g.,SOD2)and downstream effectors involved in redox homeostasis.These findings not only elucidate the structure-function interplay governing CDs-TPs interactions,but also highlight their dual role as modulators of antioxidant activity and potential therapeutic agents,establishing a foundation for developing CD-based composite materials in targeted antioxidant therapies.

文摘Materials exhibiting broadband nonlinear optical responses are critically important for ultrafast photonics applications,particularly as saturable absorbers(SAs)that facilitate broadband optical pulse generation.In this study,tea polyphenolpolyvinyl alcohol(TP-PVA)composite films are synthesized via a polymer embedding method and employed as SAs to initiate ultrafast pulse operation in fiber lasers.The TP-PVA SA film exhibits excellent broadband saturable absorption performance at wavelengths of 1.0μm,1.5μm,and 2.0μm,with modulation depths of 54.21%,41.41%,and 51.16%,respectively.Stable passively mode-locked pulses with pulse widths of 588 fs,419 fs,and 743 fs are generated in Yb-,Er-,and Tm-doped fiber lasers,respectively.This work confirms the effective performance of TP-PVA as a broadband SA,and establishes a foundation for the integration of novel and sustainable materials within ultrafast photonic systems.The approach paves the way for developing compact broadband ultrafast laser systems operating in the near-infrared spectral region.

文摘Understanding the molecular responses of tea leaves to mechanical stress is crucial for elucidating the mechanisms of post-harvest quality formation during oolong tea processing.This study employed an integrated multi-omics strategy to characterize the changes and interactions among metabolomic(MB),transcriptomic(TX),and proteomic(PT)profiles in mechanically stressed tea leaves.Mechanical stress initially activated damage-associated molecular patterns(DAMPs),including Ca^(2+)signaling,jasmonic acid signaling,and glutathione metabolism pathways.These processes subsequently induced quality-related metabolic pathways(QRMPs),particularly α-linolenic acid and phenylalanine metabolism.Upregulated expression of LOX,ADH1,and PAR genes,together with the increased abundance of their encoded proteins,respectively promoted the accumulation of jasmine lactone,benzyl alcohol,and 2-phenylethanol.These findings indicate that mechanical stress influences the metabolite biosynthesis in tea leaves through coordinated molecular responses.This study provides new insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying tea leaf responses to mechanical stress and a foundation for future investigations into how early molecular events may contribute to post-harvest metabolic changes during oolong tea processing.

文摘Tea plant(Camellia sinensis(L.)O.Kuntze)is a cold-sensitive leaf-harvesting crop whose growth,yield,and processed tea quality are all inhibited by low temperatures.Therefore,identifying the regulatory genes involved in tea plant growth and freezing tolerance is crucial for genetic improvement.WRKY transcription factors regulate various plant processes,including growth and development,stress responses,and metabolite biosynthesis.However,the molecular network through which WRKY coordinates these pathways in tea plants remains unclear.In this study,we revealed that CsWRKY57L,a cold-inducible WRKY IIc subfamily member,positively regulated freezing tolerance by directly promoting flavonoid accumulation in tea plants.Transient suppression of CsWRKY57L weakened the freezing tolerance of tea plants by reducing flavonoid content and suppressing the C-repeat-binding factor(CBF)-cold-responsive(COR)gene pathway.In contrast,heterologous overexpression of CsWRKY57L in Arabidopsis had the opposite effect.Additionally,overexpression of CsWRKY57L inhibited reproductive development and accelerated senescence in Arabidopsis.Interaction analysis revealed that CsWRKY57L directly binds to the promoters of CsSWEET1a,CsSWEET15,and AtSWEET15,which encode sugar transporters essential for plant reproductive development,and inhibits their transcription.Overall,the study revealed a dual role of CsWRKY57L in promoting freezing tolerance via flavonoid biosynthesis and inhibiting reproductive development by regulating SWEETs expression.This study uncovers a novel mechanism whereby CsWRKY57L coordinately regulates both stress responses and growth in tea plants,providing a molecular basis for breeding low-temperature-tolerant varieties with restricted reproductive development.

文摘Heat stress reduces theanine content in tea plants,but the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear.In this study,a temperature gradient treatment(20℃,25℃,30℃,and 35℃)was performed to unveil the effect of heat stress on biosynthesis and accumulation of theanine.We found that heat stress induced metabolic changes,characterized by decreased theanine content and increased catechin levels.In addition,heat stress up-regulated the expression of the class B heat shock transcription factor gene CsHSFB2c,while significantly suppressing the transcription of key theanine biosynthetic genes CsTS1 and CsGS1.Functional studies showed that silencing CsHSFB2c increased theanine content,while its overexpression significantly decreased theanine levels.Consistent with these changes,silencing CsHSFB2c upregulated the expression of CsTS1 and CsGS1,while overexpression of CsHSFB2c downregulated their expression.Yeast one-hybrid(Y1H)and dual-luciferase reporter gene(Dual-LUC)assays showed that CsHSFB2c directly binds to the promoters of CsTS1 and CsGS1 and inhibits their expression.These results demonstrate that CsHSFB2c mediates heat-induced suppression of theanine biosynthesis by directly inhibiting the expression of CsTS1 and CsGS1.This study provides a theoretical basis for improving the heat resistance and quality of tea plants via molecular breeding.

文摘The objective of this study was to verify the protective effect of Bifidobacterium longum(BL) and the synergistical effect of Selenium and BL on alcohol plus high fat diet(HFD) induced hepatic injury in mice. We also want to explore the mechanism of Selenium-enriched Bifidobacterium longum(Se BL). C57 BL/6 mice were treated with alcohol plus HFD with or without different dosage of BL or Se BL for 4 weeks. Serum levels of ALT, AST, TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, FFAs, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β, hepatic MDA level, SOD activity, the m RNA levels of AMPK, PPAR-α and SREBP1 were invested. Se BL inhibited lipid accumulation in hepatocytes;reduced serum AST and ALT levels;improved dyslipidemia;decreased serum FFAs, TC, TG and LDL-C levels. Se BL also inhibited alcohol plus HFD-induced hepatocyte oxidative stress through decrease in hepatic MDA levels and increase in SOD activity. Se BL also regulated lipid metabolism related genes such as AMPK, PPAR-α and SREBP1. Although BL had similar effect as Se BL, Se BL is more effective than BL. Se BL protected mice from alcohol plus HFD-induced hepatic injury in mice because of its inhibitory effect on hepatocellular oxidative stress, lipogenesis and inflammation. Selenium enhanced the protective effect of BL.

文摘[Objectives] The aims were to optimize the extraction process of selenoproteins from selenium-enriched rice in Guangxi and provide references for the intensive processing and comprehensive utilization of selenium protein resources. [Methods]Selenium-enriched rice was used as materials to extract selenoproteins by phosphate buffer extraction method and to optimize the extraction process of selenoproteins by using the orthogonal experiment. Proteins and selenium content was measured by Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250 reagent and AFS( atomic fluorescence spectrometry) respectively. [Results] The most significant factor affecting extraction of rice Selenoproteins was extraction NaO H concentration,followed by the ratio of solid-liquid,temperature and then extraction time. The optimum extraction conditions of selenoproteins from rice were extraction temperature of 50 ℃,NaO H concentration of 0. 14 mol/L,extraction time of 5 h,and solid-liquid ratio of 1∶ 30. [Conclusions]The alkali extraction process optimized by orthogonal test could effectively improve the extraction rate of selenoproteins,and the optimized process parameters could be popularized and applied in practical production.
文摘Selenium is an essential trace element for human health.Eating selenium-enriched eggs is conducive to easily and effectively solving the problem of selenium deficiency.In the production process of selenium-enriched eggs,different selenium sources,additive doses,feeding time,and the addition of other vitamins,trace elements,and methionine in the diet will influence the deposition of selenium in eggs.Through this review,it is intended to provide a reference for the practical,safe and economical production of selenium-enriched eggs.

文摘Transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS)is a kind of physical therapy that use electric cur-rent through the electrodes placed on the surface of acupoints to produce clinical effects in the human body,which is characterized by less adverse reaction and convenient operation.It has been widely used in the treatment of various diseases.This review introduces six major clinical applications of TEAS,named analgesia,regulation of gastrointestinal function,improvement of reproductive function,enhancement of cognitive function,promotion of limb function recovery and relief of fatigue.Besides,TEAS has been ap-plied to the treatment of other chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes,achieving satisfactory clinical effects.However,two crucial challenges are encountered in the development of TEAS.One is the lack of standardization in the selection of parameters such as waveform,frequency,intensity and stimula-tion duration.The other is the limitation on the flexibility in the acupoint selection.This review analyzes key issues that need to be addressed in the current clinical application of TEAS,such as the selection of parameters and acupoints,and this review provides a certain reference value for optimizing regimens of TEAS and promoting its development and application.
