In a segmented detector at a spallation neutron...Abstract: Knowledge of Ve-Fe/Pb differential cross sections for a^e energy below several tens of MeV scale is believed to be crucial in understanding supernova physics. In a segmented detector at a spallation neutron source, ve energy reconstructed from the electron range measurement is strongly affected because both multiple scattering and electromagnetic showers occur along the electron passage in target materials. In order to estimate these effects, a simulation study has been performed with a cube block model assuming perfect tracking precision. The energy spectrum distortion is observed to be proportional to the atomic number of the target material. Feasibility of unfolding the distorted ~ energy spectrum is studied for both Fe and Pb. An evaluation of the statistical accuracy attainable is therefore provided for a segmented detector.展开更多

It is necessary to rely on the rail gauge to determine whether the object beside the track will affect train operation safety or not.A convenient and fast method based on line segment detector(LSD)and the least square...It is necessary to rely on the rail gauge to determine whether the object beside the track will affect train operation safety or not.A convenient and fast method based on line segment detector(LSD)and the least square curve fitting to identify the rail in the image is proposed in this paper.The image in front of the train can be obtained through the camera on-board.After preprocessing,it will be divided equally along the longitudinal axis.Utilizing the characteristics of the LSD algorithm,the edges are approximated into multiple line segments.After screening the terminals of the line segments,it can generate the mathematical model of the rail in the image based on the least square.Experiments show that the algorithm in this paper can fit the rail curve accurately and has good applicability and robustness.展开更多

To address this problem, we propose a wide-field detection and tracking system using the segmented planar imaging detector for electro-optical reconnaissance. This study realizes two operating modes by changing the working paired lenslets and corresponding waveguide arrays: a detection mode and a tracking mode. A model system was simulated and evaluated using the peak signal-to-noise ratio method. The simulation results indicate that the detection and tracking system can realize wide-field detection and narrow-field, multi-target, high-resolution tracking without moving parts.展开更多
Image registration is an important research topic in the field of computer vision,in which the registration and mosaic of side-scan sonar images is the keypoints of underwater navigation.However,the image registration...Image registration is an important research topic in the field of computer vision,in which the registration and mosaic of side-scan sonar images is the keypoints of underwater navigation.However,the image registration method of keypoints is not suitable for sonar images which do not have obvious feature points.Therefore,a method of sonar-image registration and mosaic based on line segment extraction and triangle matching is proposed in this paper.Firstly,in order to extract features from sonar image,the LSD method is introduced to detect line feature from images,and line segments are filtered by the principle of attention;after that,triangles are formed from line segments,an image transformation matrix can be calculated through the heuristic greedy algorithm from these triangles;finally,images are merged based on the transformation information.On the basis of practical tests,it is found that,the feature extraction method used in this paper can better describe the outline of underwater terrain,and there is no obvious stitching gap between the result of sonar images stitched.Experimental results show that the proposed method is effective than the keypoints method of the registration and mosaic of sonar images.展开更多
